Hi Vpro1,

Thanks for posting. First check with the OEM of your computer ram or motheboard to see if there are diagnostic tools that are available to the general public equipment for you test your equipment with. In addition, get with your OEM motherboard / computer to retrieve the steps on how to update your BIOS and drivers. Once you have done this uninstall and reinstall the program, you have problems with.

I hope this helps! Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST

  • Intermittent freezing of the computer when opening programs

Hello. I have intermittent freezing problems which I will try to describe. About 5 to 7 times a week I click on a link like Comcast Mail Office.

The 'think' rotation slider will begin, the page does not load and then a message appears after a minute or two for example 'Windows cannot find Comcast.net' the only way I was able to solve this problem is to restart with the power-it button does not restart by using the standard method. I pretty much can do nothing until I restarted and then the computer works well. Comcast has tested the modem and the connection and says it's ok.

The issue occurs at random times. It happens more frequently when I begin a session, but it froze several times while I'm running an application or are already on the internet. I performed the tests in the pc tools and things seem ok. I have 3 GB of ram and a measure of consumption on my desk that indicates normal operation.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. It is far from aggravating and barely embarrassing, but I would like to know the cause.

    Hi Kenny,

Please see the following thread (even if it is a different issue, some of the troubleshooting steps are the same):

When I open something in my office, as IE or VZAccess Manager, it will show that the issue is there, but the page will immediately fly across the screen off screen to the right.  My cursor also will go on the right side of the screen contrast to the left while the cursor stops at the border... when I do a system restore, it seems to fix the problem for a short time... but back then in this game of hide that let me guess if the program is open or not... it is a display problem or what...

    Hello Slwaldaias,

Thanks for your post.  Have you ever had two monitors connected to your computer?  If so, this is probably still in place and tries to open the windows on the other monitor.  You can correct this by ensuring that your computer settings are for a single monitor.  If you have never had a second monitor, the first step would be to scan your computer for malware.

Use the malicious software removal tool to perform your analysis.

We can't wait to hear back on your part.

COULB BE A VIRUS O PROBLEMS WITH ANY PROGRAM? PLEASE HELP ME THANK YOU...

    Hello

    ·         Have what program you tried to open?

It might be a virus problem. However, try one of these:

Step 1: If this program is causing the problem, then uninstall the program in safe mode.

Note: If this program uses windows install, you will not be able to uninstall in safe mode.

Step 2: Run also a scan of network in safe mode.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

You can do a scan of PC security by clicking on the link http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm and clicking on the analysis of a complete Service and accept the agreement.

Step 3: If this does not help, then check at boot.

Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual by following step 7 of article.

  • Firefox keeps blocking flashplayer

keeps blocking flash drive when it is updated

If you are not accustomed to using the "Request to activate" feature with any of your plugins, here's what to expect:

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click on the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash.

But some pages use Flash only for tracking or play ads, so if you do not see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification. It will just sit there in case you later want.

Until this ordeal of previously unknown security flaws shakes, you might want to try this and see how it fits. To set the Flash 'Ask to activate', after that you have the latest version installed, open the page of modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search 'Shockwave Flash' and always change 'enable' to 'ask to activate '.

  • Sounds of the computer when a program opens or closes

Without my OK, my computer automatically downloaded Windows 10. I brought my fix it shop to get Windows 7 on. When this was done, I found that none of my sounds play when a program opens or closes except when my email finishes loading and are ready for viewing. The fix in this catalogue could not understand why this happened and are always looking for a solution to this issue. Any ideas?

    Back to default sounds:

Control Panel, hardware and sound, change system sounds

Audio driver may need to be installed/re-installed. Go to the OEM support page and download the driver.

Eventually, it installed the wrong driver.

I have no errors during the installation process.   I have now gone PS cc, copied all the files with ONCore - and paste in the location of the same file in 2014 CC PS.  There is now no error report when I run CC2014 PS and everything seems to work properly.

I'm still not sure why Adobe has PSCC2014 rather than an update on PS CC.

  • MsiExec.exe * 32 keeps trying to install when I start my computer

MsiExec.exe * 32 keeps trying to install when I start my computer

    Hi id75080

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers Forums!

When you get this error? You try to install a program? Or just come to the top when you restart?

    Try these steps and check:

Step 1: Stop and restart the Windows Installer Service.

    1. click on the Start button or press the Windows keyboard.

    2. in the search box, type Services and then click on the Services element that appears at the top.

    3. expand the Services window and then scroll down to Windows Installer.

    4. right click on the Windows Installer list item and then click on stop, right click again and then click Start.

Step 2: Unregister and re-register Windows Installer.

To do this, follow these steps:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. in the Open box, type msiexec /unreg and then press ENTER.
    3. click on start and then click Run.
    4. in the Open box, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.

    Step 3: SFC Scan

The SFC utility allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version. Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.

You can still run a sfc on the windows vista computer scan. To run a scan suite sfc as follows:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt type sfc/scannow , and then press ENTER.

NOTE: you must log in using the administrator account and try to install it like that. Or you can also try running the program by right clicking and select "run as Administrator". It should work.

Step 4: Utility Windows Install CleanUp:

Windows Installer CleanUp Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

Download the latest version from the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

    Refer to: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/290301/

NOTE: , We can have only a single anti-virus installed / running on your computer at any time. Conflicts, system crashes and frost can occur if you have an Anti Virus installed and running on the computer.

    Step 5: Windows install

We need to install the latest version of Windows Installer that is 4.5, the link to it is:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

Restart and check if you get the same error.

After back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.
