Computer laptop dv6 Pavilian: I need the original operating system for a Pavilian model dv6 dv6 1355dx
I have upgraded to windows 10 and did not like it and tp attempt to restore the computer and accidentally erased my original windows 7. I then bought and installed windows 7 64 bit and the computer does not work properly; I need now the drive of 32-bit windows 7 original.
Hello;
Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not...
Ordinarily, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP.
Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page. This means that the stock HP is no longer the recovery media for your PC. They store any long recovery media for older PCs.
Given that HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/
Good luck

You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. As you never have a drive to buy, this is how you should be able to reinstall Vista on a Toshiba using the recovery partition:
https://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/bulletinDetail.jsp?soID=2737864&PF=true
You can see if it works but it is probably destroyed by installing these backup Images.
If it is not available, try and get the Toshiba recovery disks or borrow a DVD of Microsoft Vista according to my first answer.

How can I reinstall the original operating system was on my Fujitsu Lifebook without the CD?
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook series S, model S7211, and I had a bug on the computer, so I had to reinstall the OS, but my computer never came with a disc as it was a gift, so I had to install another OS that was intended for another computer, a DELL computer. I noticed right away that some of the functions that the computer was previously working is no longer, and it doesn't bother me at first, but now my computer seems to run slower, and I wanted to find a way to reinstall the original OS. I have the product key, but I can't find a way to download Windows Vista business on the Windows website.
Can someone direct me to a download link or the part of the windows Web site I where can I enter my product key and to create a disk so I can install it?
Hello
You cannot use a Dell disk on a Fujitsu laptop.
There are several ways to reinstall Vista, see what you can use..
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there may always be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

How update without the original operating system?
I recently had to buy a hard drive for my counter top. I did this do not know that the operating system was not on it. I returned to Best Buys and the geek squad guy told me that with the new drive hard I have to install the operating system. Because I didn't it was suggested to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. Did not say anything else, so I bought a program two cents of dollar only to find out that this program is for an upgrade and not a new drive. Now I can't turn it on at all. Can someone please? Can I take that back and negotiate it? I'm not sure.

the necessary operating system for Pavilion dv6646us disk
Hi, have a Pavilion dv6646us laptop entertainment and made a total deletion. My bad, as in oops. Now I need a disk to the operating system. System has Vista Home Premium and I guess only 32-bit. Someone at - it a disc or can I download on a USB?
You will need to either buy a drive recovery HP or an HP partner as described here.
An alternative is to do a clean reinstall using the activation key of Microsoft Windows (twenty five characters) that should be on the bottom of your laptop and a Windows Vista usb Installer. You will need to create the installation program as described in many videos on youtube.

Do you need a complete operating system for internet?
I was wondering if you need a full Windows operating system to detect internet connection?
I was wondering if you need a full Windows operating system to detect internet connection?
What do you mean by 'full Windows OS'? What would be a partial Windows operating system?
You need drivers for your hardware Windows can communicate with the hardware and then connect to your network and - if available - Internet. Drivers for hardware from the hardware manufacturer.

Computer laptop ASUS US50 recover to the original with a disc settings.
The recovery disks do not come with a .exe file. I tried to format the hard drive, but it says "missing required parameter." The main problem is all my processes seem to work for a few minutes and then say (not responding) for a few seconds and repeat the process. I was in the Users\jeremy > ran a cd. dir and top two files are. and... respectively. I can't delete those either. This information can be usless, I'm not sure.
Hello
You mean reinstall the OS completely? If you have Vista DVD you can do however make sure to
totally your data off the drive of backup, and you need to reinstall your programs. If you do not
Disks of Vista, you can buy them in your machine to cheap system. If you don't care about existing programs
Then you can make a complete new installation - just select the format options that erases the entire disc (this
Clears all data as well). Some system manufacturers use Partitions recovery and other methods to allow you to go back to a
completely new facility. So check with your system manufacturer to see what options you must do
- and it's certainly doable - just a question of the process the manufacturer of the system set in place to
you.ASUS - Support & Forums
