We are preparing to go the Apple, and the computer is the last thing to replace. We have a concern as has happened twice to us with two different laptop screen... that's why we Apple due to the reliability of their. Someone had problems with their laptop screens out? trying to decide between a laptop or a desktop computer. Worried about the screen out on laptop and having to replace all the verses that replace a monitor on the desk.

Debbie-

I have old wo MacBook Pro and iMac.  I love the portability of the Mbps, and the 2007 iMac screen is always crisp and beautiful.  Never had a problem with any of the screens on any of the MacBook Pros and all together, I probably had five.  Just be careful not big glasses of drinks is close, because if they get wet, they may need a new keyboard or logic board.

  • How can I remotely connect to a computer laptop win7 desktop Vista?

Hi all.  My in-laws just got a new laptop with Windows 7, and I'm stuck doing technical support by phone two hours away.  A lot of problems with that.  First of all, I have Vista and it has win7, so I'm not sure of all the configs, etc.  Secondly, I must have read the screen for me and then try to understand what is happening.  I'd like to just be able to distance in, see the screen and tell them what to do, or simply to take control and staring at me.  Don't know how to do this, however.  Near as I can tell I have remote access enabled on my computer. the laptop is probably not yet.  I have my firewall to get through, and I know that I need to understand their intellectual property.  I will make a trip to their home soon and want to have everything ready for what I put it up so that I'm here.  So, what I'm looking for?  User account, the network permissions, etc.  Any help appreciated.  Thank you!

  • both my laptop and desktop the same ISP, why and how can I fix

Why does my computer laptop and desktop pc have the same Internet service provider and how to fix it

Hello, your ISP is your Internet service provider.  It is Bell Canada, Rogers, Telnet, etc. of Telus.  Unless you want to have two companies providing your internet connection, you can not fix this.  Your IP address is also the same thing of having 1 service provider.  Your Internet provider assigns you an IP address.  Depending on the provider, if you unpluf your router, it may be renewed.  Other Windows 7 tips and tricks are available at: http://www.waltwachon.weebly.com

  • Is it possible to pass key code COST between my laptop and desktop computer?

I have Vista Ultimate retail installed on my laptop and it came with disks of 32 and 64-bit. The Office has been an ultimate upgrade of a House of high range retail and only had the 32-bit disk.  Now that I've upgraded the office, it will easily run 64 bit. The laptop could never be upgraded enough to use 64-bit. Is it possible to change so that I could run the 64-bit on the desktop? Thank you.

"I have Vista Ultimate retail installed on my laptop and it came with disks of 32 and 64-bit."

You cannot use both at the same time.

    Read this:

If your computer is pre-installed with Vista, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

  • Pre-installed Vista CD computer Dell laptop allows you to install Vista on another computer of dell desktop originally pre-installed with XP?

    Hello.

Have an old dell desktop with XP.
Have a new computer dell laptop with Vista.

    Both came pre-installed.
Both came with a CD to reinstall Windows.

Am I allowed to install Vista from that original CD on the desktop?
I did, then you have the problem (not genuine copy of Vista). I have since reinstalled Vista, but before I completely setting up the office, once again, I want to make sure that I am able to do this (do not want the new not genuine error).

    Specific questions:
    1. am I allowed to use portable CD to install Vista on another computer?
    2. If so, that must be done to ensure the "not genuine" error can't?

    Thanks for any help.

I have a xp desktop machine, an external hard drive, computer laptop xp and a computer laptop win7 on a network home via my Lynksys wireless router.  My friend attached external desktop.  Then shared these discs on the network.  He shared them as drives E and F.  I can access these drives very well.  The problem is that on the computer laptop xp now when I click on my computer if there is no zip drives or anything else connected to the computer laptop USB ports it does not show them.  If I go into Device Manager, it shows the mass storage device connected here.

Another thing.  If external that are shared and the desktop machine is turned off the coast, I can click the icon to the desktop and it displays the zip drive, that I plugged.  It's like I need to rename or remap something?

  • Is VISTA for different VISTA laptop to desktop PC

I want to replace my faulty hard drive in HP Pavillion laptop dv6710ea mky. I found various forums members seeking help because THEY ARE STUCK with the different error messages or machine locked.

I hope to install Vista first, then run the recovery disc. Each able to install in laptop vista or are they different for desktop PC and computer laptops.

    Thanks for any help

    Daran

Vista is the same, depending on the version. Another disk of Vista will not work with the windows key provided with your HP laptop, the key is specific to the game of HP recovery disks.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "Vista installation, and then run the recovery disc.

Your HP are supplied with recovery disks, or a hidden restore partition, which should have access to make the value recovery disk.

  • How to share computer laptop computer wifi laptop bluetooth that can use internet with Bluetooth?

    Hello

I want to share my laptop wifi with computer laptop bluetooth, how to share?

    I need now

    Please help me...

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, I understand that you want to share mobile Wi - Fi.

I would like to know some information.

    1. What is the brand and model of your two laptops?

    2. The other laptop only has a Bluetooth but no Wi - Fi?

I wish to inform you that unfortunately, you can not use Bluetooth to connect to the internet. You must have a wireless PCI card.

Wi-Fi connections can reach a distance more than the alternative wireless listed above. Many newer computers, especially laptops, now contain integrated Wi - Fi capabilities makes it the first choice in most situations. A Wi - Fi connection can be used with or without a device on the network. With two computers, Wi - Fi networks under a luminaire (also calledad-hoc mode) are particularly simple to implement.

Bluetooth technology supports wireless reasonably high speed between two computers without the need for a network device. Bluetooth is more commonly used when the network to a computer with a consumption as a handheld device phone cell. Most desktop computers and most do not have the Bluetooth capability. Bluetooth works best if both devices are in the same room in close proximity to each other. Consider the Bluetooth if you have interest in networking with handheld devices and your lack of computers of the Wi - Fi capabilities.
