Computer laptop XP only works in safe mode
Until a few days ago, my laptop worked fine. With the help of XP Professional.
Now I start up, the Windows screen, then it shows a white screen. I then turn off via the power switch.
I can however boot in safe mode, but can't do much with it because almost nothing works, for example internet, backup disks.
Any ideas? I don't have XP disc as ths was all preloaded so can not try to reinstall.
Thank you!

WiFi MiniPCI card only works in "Safe Mode with network.
AR5001Xplus MiniPCI card only works in "Safe Mode with network" (windowsXP-Home-SP2 and all updates recent).
In 'normal' mode, it freezes my laptop after a few seconds.Hello
Why you don t give us more information about your problem? We don't know what unit you have? Is the original part of card or you have built at least?
At the moment I can just recommend you to reinstall the unit with recovery media. If the problem persists, try to install the card separately with the right driver. Otherwise, you must change the WiFi card or test it with the other.
Give us more information.

Mouse and keyboard only work in safe mode... why?
Or work on restoring normal operation and all the images are blurred. Said one-stop two players work under ms - back! Someone help me?
If it works in safe mode it looks like it's the drivers. because in safe mode, it uses only basic MICROSOFT DRIVERS... go in safe mode, go to the DEVICE MANAGER (right click on computer and click on MANAGE then click on allow or continue if prompted, and then click Device Manager).
under the heading of the keyboard device, click on the '+' and then right click and uninstall all THE items in the CATEGORY of the KEYBOARD and click OK on all messages
then
under mouse/mice and other input devices , click on the '+' and then right click and uninstall all THE items in the CATEGORY of the mouse/mice and other input devices and click OK on all messages.
Then
Reboot and allow devices to relocate

blue screen - only works in safe mode
I have a 1545 inspiron 1545 lap top only woks in safe mode are tried system don't restore chance andre, I can do?
[Moved from comments]
Hi Tony,
Blue screen errors can occur if a problem causes Windows 7 to stop or restart unexpectedly. You might see a message that says: "Windows was arrested to avoid damaging your computer."
These errors can be caused by hardware and software issues, and it can be difficult to solve the problem. The following methods and tools can often help get Windows running again.
1. what operating system is installed on your computer?
2. What is the code in the exact error message or Blue Screen of Death?
3. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?
What version of the operating system Windows am I running? :
I suggest you remove all external devices except the keyboard and mouse and check if it helps.
I also suggest you follow the steps mentioned in the link below which may help you in the matter of fixing.
Resolve stop (blue screen) error in Windows 7:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows7/resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7
Note: When you restore the system to a previous state, programs and updates installed later will be deleted.
Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.
Warning: Before performing a reinstallation of Windows 7, should be prepared for the worst scenarios that led to your existing data on your computer being deleted. These data include data personal, settings, information about the hardware and software drivers. In case of a worst case scenario, you may have to reinstall all the programs. Make sure that you back up personal data to disks or other external storage devices before you reinstall the operating system.
You can also download the last dump file so that we are able to help you. C:\windows\Minidump
You can use Windows Explorer and copy the dump files to your desktop or your personal documents folder. Then download them to your Sky Drive folder.
If you are not able to find the dump file, and then check if it has been activated. To so proceed as follows:
1. click on Start, point to settingsand then click Control Panel.
2. double-click on system.
3. click on the tab Advanced and then click settings under Startup and recovery.
4. in the Write debugging information list, click partial dump (64 KB).
For reference:
Send a copy of your dump file in a shared file on your disc of sky with a link here.

LCD monitor only works in safe mode
I connected a new monitor and will work in safe mode. I tried to change all the settings in safe mode but nothing seems to work when I restart the computer in normal mode. Help, please
I'd like to see if you can install any software that came with your monitor.
There is another option to enter in Windows Vista, choose activation lower-resolution (640 X 480)... .or the VGA mode as it used to be called.
Try to install the drivers in safe mode if it does not work.
If these don't work, let me know the exact model you new monitor so I can see if I can find any known issues.

My computer is fundamentally new. I have Avast anti virus, steam (CS sims3 + animals domestic only games installed), Google Chrome (installed with avast), Magic iso, WD my cloud (for my home network cloud) server software, Microsoft silverlight and who he is. Firefox starts in safe mode, I tried to clean install of the latest version and research updates in safemode, my adobe plugins are up-to-date, I disabled everything else. The only sites I've visited in firefox are Facebook to connect and save my password clicked on any link, Netflix to find the Silverlight plugin, Gaia online to save my password. That's all now it does not start without crashing into any other mode, which can make.
You have hardware acceleration disabled in your old profile and now he allowed in the new profile that was created due to the discount to zero/update.
You can start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options key.
Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.
You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to know if your problems are caused by hardware or software. Given that the machine works in Mode safe mode, start with basic troubleshooting software:
Make sure that the computer is clean:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_MalwareIf the computer is really free of virus/malware and the problem persists - and you must make the malicious and Prep work first, don't skip it - then do boot in diagnostic mode to determine what is running in normal Mode, which is the origin of the problem.
