Computer makes strange noises? 3

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion, model s3842uk. n___n;

My computer because of the weird noises when I start it, it's like a semi - quiet, but still discernible "squeaking"? I did some research into this because that my mind was going into overdrive thinking that my pc is dying (that's my baby in terms of playing games like WoW, L4D2, Sims 3, Fallout New Vegas, etc. with brio) so I'd really like to know if anyone can help me.

Some have suggested that it is the CPU fan or another fan, and maybe it's because I'm not sure how to open my case. I really want to play with my system in case I damage anything (I'm a super awkward age 16 years). xD

So, it is more than likely due to an accumulation of dust right? I think I had this PC for over a year so the poor thing probably got a lot of dust in there, but I'm still a bit "eh" of everything.

So, if anyone of you, it professionals are ready to help me, I would appreciate it.

If I do not need to open the case so I will need to ask a friend of the family who is a technician, he can do it for me because I'm desperate. xD

Hello LishaFTW, sorry to hear your system does not work as it should.

Some HP and Dell systems, do a 'noise' stronger during the first start for a few seconds. This noise is from fans until the mother could take control of the fan speed. It is a normal phenomenon, but only if it just last for several seconds.

A bad business, and/or components can cause a State of overheating, even on newer systems, especially if they have been used when on the ground instead of a desktop computer.

Here a link to the HP site that shows how to do to remove the control panel of the case. You can then clean the inside of the casing and components, paying special attention to the area of heatsink / CPU fan.

Make sure you do not move or damage the components.

You can use compressed canned air to blow the dust/dust of the system and the heatsink / CPU fan. Do not allow the processor or another fan to turn when you use compressed air, as this may cause damage to the fan.

I suggest take the system from the outside of the building to clean dust/dirt, since when the compressed air is applied, there is a bit of it in the room.

When completely cleaned, just reinstall Control Panel case and start the system and see if the problem has been resolved.

If not, you may leave the case Panel and start the system and try and determine source noise, making sure not to touch anything inside the case. I'd look for any fan noise that seems to be another noise that all movement of the air, like a bearing bad grinding, or rubbing sound.

I hope this helps.

    Hello

I have problems with my speakers. Crack speakers and make strange noises. I have tried everything to fix this (new audio drivers install, re - install windows...) and nothing has helped. I see someone has installed a new version of the bios and this has solved the problem.

'UN' fforunately I have already installed the actual bios system and the system does not have to reinstall the current version.

Can someone tell me how I can re - install the software in the bios?

    Thank you very much

    Hey,.

Such resettlement is no function you want to say to the BIOS. You can only upgrade to a newer version but not to reinstall the current version.

I think that there is another solution for your problem, but above all that it would be interesting to know if you can see these problems with external speakers or headphones too.

I have a laptop Gateway, Windows Vista, Firefox and internet exp.9, AVG for internet seuirty, and I tried system restore to a couple of times to solve this problem. • Computer freezes and makes strange noises during playback of videos

    Hello

As of late my computer was irritating me.

When I go to play videos, or sometimes when I listen to music, the computer screen everything will freeze and (sometimes) it sounds like something of a transformer movie.

The first freeze upwards, it usually comes out of it on his own. But a freeze on second or third place, I have to force the computer to shut down.

I noticed it only freezes up when I play games on my computer. Games on the internet [like on Facebook] can make freeze however.

Usually he never appears with an error, so I can't provide any help out there. When this all started upwards, it was a pop up on the display driver to have to restart itself (or something of the sort). But I saw only once and have not yet see it again.

It's my laptop Asus U50F-RBBAG05 who works in Windows 7. All of my software like Java and others are updated, to my knowledge.

It is, possible solutions? Or explanations? Or my computer went "off the deep end" and I might have to consider getting a new? :(

[Not quite sure that this issue falls under the topic sorry in advance.]

    Hello

    1. did you of recent changes to the computer?

    2. you're talking about music or videos online or you're talking about for videos and music stored on the hard drive?

Step 1: first of all I suggest you to update the video card and display drivers for manufacturing sites.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Step 2: Put the computer to boot and see if the problem still occurs
Activate the clean boot, refer to step 1 in the link below:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.
Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
Note: after find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software
ATTENTION:-do not forget to put the computer to a normal startup followed step 7 in the link.
Step 3: Check the logs in Event Viewer on the computer crash and let me know
    Open event viewer

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

  • Portege R830-10V - DVD drive makes strange noises

    Hi all
I just bought this machine and registered the following question:

If I put in a portable DVD starts very strong buzz. This noise disappears if I put a finger on the reader. In addition, the DVD player starts to chat if I press the keys above the player as the arrow keys. Bothers me a lot.

I called Toshiba support and they said that they can pick up the laptop. But it is possible that this service costs because maybe this problem is part of the specification.

You have any ideas? What can I do?
    Best regards
    Denis

    Hi Denis_3,

Have you noticed this problem with different CD and DVD or just a medium? In General, I also noticed the same behavior, but sometimes just with one disk, so the problem is the drive itself in most cases.

On this path through the forum it s is not easy to say what the reason is but if it s associated with CD/DVD player and the reader needs replace it will cost you nothing because it s during the warranty. Of course, for out of warranty repairs, you must make ;)

  • My computer makes a noise but nothing on the screen, theres a light on the modem if

I got a blue screen problem as well... do you think that there is nothing I can do or not? I am running windows vista

    Hey doz1990,

I was not able to locate the specific page for this model computer. I suggest you email or by looking at the manual (if you do not find your they're online too, just use a search engine) and go to them via e-mail or a phone call.

Looks like it could be a serious hardware problem, but I can't say without more information.
  • Help! My computer makes a noise loud!

My computer is a thud.  It accelerates and sounds as if she's going to fly.  It stops after a while, then starts again.  I don't know much about computers and have no idea where to look to fix this problem.  My computer is a Compaq lapstop.  I have windows 7.

The most likely cause is the heatsink that is partially blocked. You can try

    1. compressed air from the vent on the side
    2. remove the covers on the underside in the area directly where the fan is
    3. take it to a reputable technician or if authorized service center 1 and 2 will get you nowhere...
  • Fan on my Equium A200 makes strange noises

Fan cooling on my Equium A200-1AC age of 2 months is a hell of a racket suddenly, would it be the bearings on the cooling fan goes all ready?

Does anyone else have this problem? I really don't want to have to send it away for 2 weeks if I have to get it fixed

Sorry, but I don't really know what you want to do if the service check is not an option. As John wrote, it is not the time to play with the one laptop. The laptop is brand new and with warranty valid. Maybe is the problem, not complicated and can be repaired very quickly.

  • Satellite P200 made strange noises after the closure of music

I have a Satellite P200 and flash cards do not respond and when I ve played music.
The computer makes strange noises after the closure of music?

    Help me please!
    friend Wendy

    Hello Wendy

Please don't get me wrong, but it's not easy to understand the problem that is described in your ad.
I have the same model of laptop and everything works fine. I listen to music every day on Windows media player (mp3s) or radio listening online using the Winamp player.

At the same time, I can use flash cards.

What about strange noises? Who knows what you mean exactly and how us need to understand that?
If please be so kind and explain exactly what you do and what kind of sounds you can hear.

  • Satellite A350 - Microphone making strange noise

When talking to people on Skype and MSN people say my mic makes strange noises. They can hear me vaguely on the noise. People say it's a bit like a gurgling noise.

At first I thought that it would be a driver problem so by using Device Manager in windows I have searched online for a update for my Realtek High Definition Audio and he told me that the version is up-to-date.

I went from Vista to Windows 7 about 5-6 months there may be that this is a problem when I reinstalled my drivers? Any advice would be appreciated!

    Characteristics of the computer:
    -Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
-Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P7450 2.13 GHz
4.00 GB of RAM (2.99 usable)

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Driver update might be useful in this case, but the audio driver is not related to the internal mic. The internal MIC is part of the webcam then in this case I recommend to reinstall the driver for the webcam of the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

And don t forget to check the Windows sound settings. I would try to disable the microphone amplifier and reduce the volume of the microphone.

  • Strange noise coming out of my Satellite L40

I noticed two times a strange noise coming out of my Satellite L40
On one or two seconds, there was a sound that sounded like the noise that you hear when you use a dial analog modem and try to connect.

He came out of the blue and I use a DSL wireless connection.
The sound of my cell phone was off.

Is that what anyone has noticed the same thing or do you not know what it could be?

  • My computer makes a clicking noise at random - in the diagnosis of the Apple what is the meaning of error 4HDD/30 / 40000005:SATA (0,0) Please?

My computer makes a clicking noise at random - in the diagnosis of the Apple what is the meaning of error 4HDD/30 / 40000005:SATA (0,0) Please?

    Several clues:

    1. HARD and SATA drive in the message... On the way SATA HARD drive
    2. Clicking noise, which is an early signal of imminent death for HARD drive (there are only two types of readers... those who died and those who will be)

I would like to start keep good clones (CarbonCopyClone, bombich.com, $40) for external drives or backups Time Machine.  Any backup of the drive, not just your favorite parts.  Perform backups on a schedule without fail IMHO.

You can also start to consider a SSD at macsales.com (their mercury collection is highly recommended) or a new HARD disk, at least start planning if the SSD cost is worth the benefit of speed on the HARD drive.  You can buy it later.

Just my paranoid approach to this situation.

  • C50-A-1DV satellite makes strange static/buzzing noise

My brand new toshiba laptop is constantly producing a strange humming/static noise that seems to come from the fan.

I don't know if this is the case with all these models but it's pretty boring and I fear that something could be wrong with the laptop.

Please can someone help me on this one?
What can be the cause of the strange noise?

As I said it seems to come from the fan, but I'm not 100% sure.

Have you noticed this buzzing/static noise while turning heavy fan?

For me it of very difficult to tell if it s a good fan noise or unusual noises that may be related to problems of cooling module.

On the other hand, you are not sure if the noise comes from the fan, so I think we are groping in the dark to 100%

From my point of view of the few the laptop is new and if you don't know if there is a hardware problem, you should ask a favor for the engineer and check.

Mate sorry but at this point, I have no other 'solution' for you :(
