C50-A-1DV satellite makes strange static/buzzing noise

My brand new toshiba laptop is constantly producing a strange humming/static noise that seems to come from the fan.

I don't know if this is the case with all these models but it's pretty boring and I fear that something could be wrong with the laptop.

Please can someone help me on this one?
What can be the cause of the strange noise?

As I said it seems to come from the fan, but I'm not 100% sure.

Have you noticed this buzzing/static noise while turning heavy fan?

For me it of very difficult to tell if it s a good fan noise or unusual noises that may be related to problems of cooling module.

On the other hand, you are not sure if the noise comes from the fan, so I think we are groping in the dark to 100%

From my point of view of the few the laptop is new and if you don't know if there is a hardware problem, you should ask a favor for the engineer and check.

Mate sorry but at this point, I have no other 'solution' for you :(

  • C50-A-1DV satellite - cannot find the Office product key

I bought the new laptop in UK computer dockside.com laptop Satellite model C50-A-1DV.

Now in India, I'm trying to connect Office but its asking for the product key. I check with the seller, according to him the product key should be in the box of the laptop, but we do not found.
Again once I had word with the seller that he come back we will get the online product key.
I do not get product key from anywhere & not able to use my laptop.

Please help to get the product key

Preinstalled version of Office is not a full version. It is the 60-day trial version. 60 days, you can use Office and test it. If you like it, you must purchase a valid license.

Which is the reason why you can't find the license code. Your seller is unfortunately not well informed about the products they offer.

  • Headphones do a static/buzzing noise on my XPS 13 (9350)

Hi guys, when I use headphones/headset to my laptop via the headphone jack, I always hear a low static/buzzing despite the fact that no music or sound is played. Anyone else have this problem or knows how to solve?

Increase / decrease audio volume make a difference? Have you tried other headphones, or tried the helmet another PC, the noise only happen with Notepad, or follow the headset? Do you notice only the sound when using the headset?

The big thing here is to make sure that the headphone is plugged, check to see if there is any give in the connection. Move the laptop to another location and see if the noise follows the laptop.  It could be something near the laptop which is the cause of the problem. If notice you the sound on the speakers try to download the drivers.

Please let me know what you find.

    Thank you.

    > Is this normal?

No, this isn't a common behavior of laptop and I don t think that the sound or noise is normal.

    > I think back to the retailer and asking for Exchange?

In my opinion it s certainly a good idea to check another unit and compare appearances of noise

  • My C50-A-1DV Satellite will not work without power

    Hello

    I have a new Satellite C50 A 1 DV.
It doesn't work unless it is plugged.

Anyone know if that is correct?
    It seems odd.

Also the far left in the front (AC IN) never turns on.
    Is it OK?

I would be grateful if someone could put my mind at rest!

    Thank you
    JO

    > It does not work unless it is plugged.
    > Anyone know if this is true?

No, this isn't correct. If the main battery is fully charged, the laptop must run also without the power adapter connected.
In case, the battery not charging properly, get in touch with certified maintainer Toshiba in order to check the battery and if necessary replace it with another, a new.

  • My C50-A-1DV Satellite will not start

    Hello

Yesterday my C50 Satellite would not start. When turned on, it shows the Toshiba logo and then the little circles just keep them.

I booted into recovery mode and ran chkdsk, but there are no errors on the disc.

When I restarted, then she says the following:

    Preparation auto repair
    Diagnose your PC
    Check disk for errors
    Auto repair attempt

Then at the stge small circles just continue.

I started in safe mode and activated the boot record.

    Attached is the NTBTLOG file

    Thank you very much

    Turning off the laptop
Then press the power button and immediately after that, press the F12 button
Then you should see a screen similar to this one:

Then I recommend you to choose the option to drive HARD recovery... The last option in this menu.
This would start the HDD recovery procedure and would restore the laptop back to factory settings...

  • C50-A-1DV satellite keys stick

Completely new to this and not good with computers or language associated so please keep that in mind! I've had this problem for a while now and it's driving crazy me!

When I type on my keyboard, there are so many typos that 1 to 3 letters I type do not seem to respond when I'm 100% by pressing the buttons. The result is a lot of missing letters that makes the assignment in writing to me almost impossible!

Does anyone else have this problem? Or better yet, they can suggest a way of fixing?

    TIA

Check if the use of the external keyboard would cause the same key-sticky question...

In case the external USB keyboard would work properly, the internal keyboard failure causing the problem and therefore the internal keyboard needs to be replaced to solve the problem...

If the machine is new, the standard warranty must be valid and I guess it should cover the repair costs.

  • C50-A-1DV satellite does not illuminate

    Hello

My mother-in-law has an old Satellite phone of 15 months which will not be turned on, press the button power led power lights and the fan starts to turn, then past at high speed for a second then turns down and then repeat the salt is more than 5 seconds or sof. It worked very well and booted up once, but now no joy. What can be the problem? That's more than 1 year that it is no longer under warranty, but only 3 months.

Bought from Argos, so they will have nothing to do with what ago 3 months out of warranty... :-(.

Hmmmm... This virtual path is not easy to say what the problem is here. Your in a first time to reset the machine.
Unplug the power plug, remove the battery and press the power button for about 30 seconds. After doing this leave for a while and try to power with AC power only.

What's happen when you do this?

  • C50-A-1DV satellite will not start

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me

I have a computer toshiba laptop and I had problems with my laptop that I got it 3 months and today I went to restart it and only the power led comes on and the fan starts running, but the screen remains blank

I tried to connect an external display and nothing lights up there so I was wondering what I need to do to start and help would be great beautiful fully

    Thank you
    Jack

Its very annoying if laptop start malfunction but the good news is that guarantee is valid and when hardware issues, should be set the unit for free.

Anyway, try a kind of universal workaround that is sometimes useful to solve different problems.
You should disconnect the power adapter and should remove the battery.
Then you should press on and hold button power; Let's say 30-50 dry should be good enough.
After that connect the two parts and try to turn on the unit.

I keep fingers crossed that this work around will simply help you

  • Cannot find drivers for Satellite C50-A-1DV 8.1 Win

    Hello.

I reinstalled windows 8.1 from Disc I have, but I'm having driver problems, namely find some support pilot on the Toshiba site.

It seems that my phone is not listed, or I can't find it in the support section for drivers.

The drivers so that I am looking are the drivers of the motherboard.
I already tried a pilot site, but my laptop took a good few minutes to turn off after a stop so I doubt than those who were correct. I will try the software intel chipset device and see if it gives me good.

Rest of the drivers, I can get enough simple through the Manager of devices, but not the chipset drivers and probably usb 3.0 also.

On a side note, I noticed I don't need to type the key that I wrote using belarc, I guess that it is registered in the BIOS and windows auto detect it correctly?

    Hello

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with Windows preinstalled 8.1 64 bit so what you need to do is to reinstall the original recovery image that contains all the necessary drivers.

When you say you have installed Win 8.1 from disk, does that mean exactly?
Did you install your own OS version or the original version of Win8.1 recovery disk created?

Anyway, al Win8.1 64-bit drivers, you can download at Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
There you can find all the drivers for your C50-A-1DV Satellite with PSCG6E part number.

    Check it out.

  • Satellite C50-A-1DV freezes

    Hello

I bought a C50 A 1DV SATELLITE in June and had any other problems with it.

It opens programs slow and freezes a lot, especially during video playback. I already did a complete reset (case reference 73179371) over my problems and it did not help. I can't get help here!

    Hello

I think that the freezing issues described are related to overload the system windows.
Maybe you should just clean the system and should disable unnecessary processes that typically run in the background of the system.

Install the freeware software called CCleaner. This tool allows you to disable the process when the system is started. Note: some features from process controls as key function or Bluetooth phone. So be careful while doing this, and if you n t know the process, google to more information or don t turn off.

    Hello

Autour Googling, I found the tracking information: your laptop model can be improved up to 16 GB.
RAM modules compatible you can use are:
    2 GB DDR3-1600-PA5037U-1M2G
    4 GB DDR3-1600-PA5037U-1M4G
    8 GB DDR3-1600-PA5037U-1M8G
By using these reference numbers you can find the complete specification but it takes DDR3 1600 MHz.

I recommend you to use Rams compatible and quality only.
