computer on the side screen

When I turned on my computer, my screen was on the side.  Why?  and how to fix it?

Hello

Right-click on an empty area of the desktop - graphics Options - Rotation

CTRL + ALT + arrow key it also runs.

CTRL + Alt + (up arrow), Ctrl + Alt + arrow (pointing down), Ctrl + Alt + arrow (left) and also Ctrl + Alt + arrow (right)

I hope this helps.

  • I downloaded an update and restarted my computer, received the blue screen of death shortly after the computer restarts. Now it does not start

I don't know when the downloaded update, the computer has been restarted on September 10, 2010 to install updates. Shortlyl once the computer is restarted, I got the blue screen of death.  with the details of error like:

Stop 0 x 000000050 (0 x 000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88001DCAE4, 0xFFFFF8A00B490027, 0 x 00000000000002) do not know if the number of zeros is exactly right in one of those, but it's super frustrating.

I tried to restart my computer in repair as recommended (get blue screen of death), I tried to reboot normally, loop just restart procedures asking if I want to restart in repair mode.  I tried SafeMode (BSOD), I tried to restart with last working restart (restart loops), I tried to choose the "Computer repair" BSOD I tried a diagnosis and all past.

    Help!

    Thank you.

So yes actually hear nothing helped me.  Seems that, given that the computer is not stopped correctly and my hard drive was not recognized there starting the cycle upward or give me the BSOD.  Put it in my Ubuntu CD spare which I've had since my last PC hard drive became corrupt and force back across my hard drive.  After doing this, I was able to do a boot repair, who led for the BSOD.  Not sure how that actually fixed, lost about 10 hours of my day.  So I guess I can chalk up to Microsoft and a reminder on why I should buy Mac for now on... an update shouldn't really cause such problems.

I get that not everyone has the same PC, so it is difficult to tell if an update is bad, but he should not do this and if an update is the cause of a certain segment of consumers who are updating must be taken down for everyone, or at least the users with the configuration that is known to have problems with an update.

Problem is solved, had to go back to a previous version of good boot where I have not install updates again.  Now, I'm trying to understand who was was bad, so I can leave my computer knows to ignore.

    Nice day.

You wouldn't be wearing used underwear without washing (and money laundering it) first. It goes the same for used computers.

You can trust in the security of ANY computer used until you have formatted the hard drive & then did a clean install of Windows.

Follow the instructions in this post of mine in another forum (to-the-letter & in order! ) to return the computer to a State safe & functional: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=44636

If you need additional assistance with the clean install, please start a new thread in this forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system

Note: The computer must not be connected to the internet or local networks (i.e. other computers) in its current state. All personal data (e.g., banking online & passwords credit card) must be considered at risk, if not already compromised.

Wish I had better news for you.  Good luck!

  • After my computer blocked the secondary screen turns black.

Former title: Second monitor fades when locking computer

    Hello

I scoured the interwebs for a solution or even an explanation of this problem and have not found a thing. When I lock my workstation at the office, at the forefront of my second monitor turns black (however I can still see my cursor) and I see the screen of my computer locked on my primary monitor.

It was like that, because they put me on Windows 7 and I would like to disable it if I could, if for no other reason it takes absolute ages to get the screen to respond to the keyboard entry, then takes even more time to restore my desktop computer.

Also, I think that it a little ruin the aesthetics of the workstation and sometimes I return to my office and am still wondering if anyone has played a trick my unplug my monitor or turn it off.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If you lock the computer, the primary monitor will display the lock screen and the secondary monitor will remain black. This behavior is by design in Windows 7. Because your computer is locked, so your data is safe on the computer.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Hello

In general the BSOD is the product of the problem of hardware or software problem. To check if it of software or hardware associated with deliver its necessary to reinstall the OS and check if the BSOD will appear using the new OS preinstalled.
Of course, it s painful to do that because the recovery procedure would format the HARD drive and therefore the data backup is necessary!

I don t think that the different input voltage might affect the functionality of the laptop computer because the laptop uses the universal adapter that supports entry 100V-240V.

BSOD can be caused by faulty memory modules so I think that this test of memory could be useful also

  • Is it possible to rotate the full screen?

    Hello

I'm sorry for posting this twice, but I think that the topic of my former post was misleading and I could change it either. Old thread: (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Possibility-to-rotate-a-whole-MIDlet-or-its-...

Is it possible to rotate the entire screen?

I'm programming a Midlet "BOLD" and the Storm 2. My Midlet has the following Dimensions:

    Width 360, height 480;

It works great on the Storm 2, but I want to turn on the "BOLD" (because the width of the screen is 480, height is 360) so that the user needs to hold the camera on the side (screen on the left keyboard, to the right).

To illustrate what I want here, it's a little graphic:

Any help is appreciated! Even a "is not possible" would contribute to

    Thanks in advance,

    Benny

Yes, that was what I tried to avoid, because I need to rotate the text as well and "cords" can not be rotated (easily); I was hoping to get a response like "Yes just use this method, and you're done" - but as it was already such a hassle to program for blackberry (before the announcement) it does not wonder that it is not as simple as that.

    What I have now is:

-J' wrote a method, which replaces the Image.createImage (imgString) to rotate my images if a flag (displayIsRotated) is set

-For both Versions, I have different paint methods who swap the X and the values of Y (could have done this with a flag or an additional method, but painting two methods are OK for me)

-Channels: it was the most boring. g.drawString () is not able to draw strings turned, I implemented a BitmapFont class (in http://devlinslab.blogspot.com/2007/11/using-custom-fonts-or-bitmap-fonts-part_07.html) where I corrected a bug and he changed a bit in order to draw turned bitmap images and created a few BitmapFonts with the MicroFontMaker tool (http://j2me-mwt.sourceforge.net/microfontmaker.html).

  • How to make the touch screen work on W * 8? I have a Toshiba 64 bit PC only 3 years.

How can I get the touch screen to work on just installed Windows?.  I have a PC from Toshiba 64 bit age of 3 years.

Is there an online manual for instructions for Windows 8?

    Hello

    Thanks for asking!

I understand that you want to know how to use the touch screen with Windows 8 feature.

Let me know if I misunderstood.

    1. What is the model of the computer?

    2. the computer has the touch screen feature ?

You should be able to use the touch screen feature when you install the operating system.

If you can not use, then I suggest you to update the driver for the touch screen.

    Method 1: update the driver

    1. Place the cursor of the mouse to the upper right and click on search
    2. Type devmgmt.msc and press enter
    3. Now locate the touchscreen device, right-click on it and click Update.

Method 2: Install the driver in compatibility mode

If the problem persists, then I suggest you to install the driver for the OS version lower in compatibility mode.

    a. right click on the driver installation file , and select Properties

    b. Select the Compatibility tab

    c. place a check next to run this program in compatibility mode and select the operating system in the drop-down list

    d. let the driver to install, and then check the functionality.

If there is no touch driver, then I suggest you to contact the manufacturer.

I hope this helps. If the problem is still not resolved, come back and I'll be happy to help you.

The ability to rotate the screen image is a characteristic of your video
card, to help work with instructors who turn to the portrait
orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and
    an arrow key.

    Rotate using these keys.
