    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that you try the clean boot procedure to check whether a third-party program installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize not my monitor when he wakes fashion 'sleep '.

When Windows 7 wakes up mode 'sleep' my desktop screen is distorted.  Control Panel, screen resolution lists the monitor as 'Generic Non - PnP monitor'.  I went to the Control Panel, screen resolution and picked 'Detect', 'Apply', 'Identify' and 'OK' and restarted my computer to save my monitor and adjustment of the native resolution.  The NVIDIA Control Panel lists my monitor like main display, but 'sleep' seems not to remember.  If I "stop" or "restart" my computer fine.  Thanks for any help on this.

Changes in font size in the middle of what I do for no reason.  It is so great now that I have to move the page back to read anything.  I run a scan completes and no problems were found.  How can I make the smaller print?  I used to have an icon at the bottom that I could use to enlarge or reduce the font size.  I don't know how to get that back and I would use it because I have vision problems.

    Hello Frankie39,

In addition to the information already provided, you can go to the screen where you see this behavior.

Once there, hold down your CTRL and scroll upward or down with your mouse wheel.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Folio 1020 G1 keyboard works not for 30 seconds after the computer wakes from sleep

I have several books of Folio 1020 G1 where the integrated keyboard does not work for about 30-60 seconds after the resumption of the operation of the standby mode. Everyone met this problem or a solution?

The touch pad, touch screen and a usb keyboard immediately all work.

They work on the load of the plant, but these machines were photographed with Windows Enterprise 8.1 x 64 using Configuration Manager 2012. The pack of drivers for this model of http://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HP_Driverpack_Matrix_x64.html, http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70001-70500/sp70362.exe is applied successfully during the imaging task sequence. I also miss the key features of the FN for brightness and microphone mute, but sp70321.exe (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=7343091 & swItemId = ob_144333_1 & swEnvOid = 415... does not solve this problem.

This question has been somehow created by installing a software Synaptics 17.x version followed by the installtion of the 18.x software required above it. I don't know if this software was automatically installed from Windows builtin drivers or other drivers imported into Configuration Manager have been incorrectly applied, but running "rundll32.exe"% ProgramFiles%\Synaptics\SynTP\SynISDLL.dll",SilentUninstall_CallerWillReboot" in the sequence of tasks before apply the package stops sp71067.exe the problem didn't happen. • Sound glitches after the computer wakes from sleep or Hibernation

When I first turn on my computer, sound works fine, but after standby or hibernation there is odd audio 'glitches' each time there is a spike in CPU activity. The seeds just sounds like small clicks and pop, but I find them very noticeable. They are triggered by things as simple as loading a page in a web browser (which reached only ~ 30% CPU usage on my computer).

Here's what I discovered by just my own tests:

    * Happens in programs that use DirectSound and WaveOut. (I think almost all programs use DirectSound, right?)

Programs that use his alternative such as the ASIO API are not affected. I've tested it using foobar2000.

    * When recording my sound output using Audacity, clicks and POPs are included in the record. (I can download it somewhere if you want to hear exactly the kind of glitches that I'm talking about).

These facts lead me to believe that the program exists somewhere in the code of Windows Audio (ie. not a hardware or driver problem).

A few things here that I tried to solve the problem:

To restart the "Windows Audio" service.

Stop service "Windows Audio", go to sleep, wake up, start the service 'Windows' Audio.

    * Updated my audio drivers

Using the default windows audio drivers

The seeds still exist when I try these. The only thing that solves the problem is to restart the computer.

The most obvious permanent solution to this problem is simply not to use mode 'sleep', but I should be able to use the "sleep" without these problems. I hope just this problem is fixable by me, because after all, I lived in an attempt to solve this problem, I'm afraid that nothing will work.

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

    Sound: Realtek ALC662 HD Audio

Thanks for the reply again, Umesh. Updating drivers did not work, but I managed to solve the problem.

In my original post, I said sound glitched whenever there was a CPU usage, but today, I realized that it was actually using the network causing glitches. I updated the driver for my network card and now the problem is gone! I don't know what was going on, but at least it works now!

  • Computer wake from sleep

Installed windows 8, the hard drive goes to sleep after 30 minutes as shown in default. When I try to turn on the computer, it looks like the power lights but screen does not work. What's wrong?

    "gigabyte z97x game 5 motherboard running only a 240GB SSD, with an Intel i5 4690 k and a R9 280 X diamond."

Strange coincidence, I pretty much have this configuration. Gigabyte Z97x ud3h, 240 GB SSD, it 4690 k and a R9 MSI x 280. Sometimes it will not wake up from his sleep and made a kind of attempt of electric start then down several times until I make a hard stop. When it finally starts it resumes where it left off. Just started happening, but I just installed Win 10 so have not had time to trace it down to hardware or software. Really shocked to see that you have a similar setup.

  • Cannot turn off the prompt of password to wake up sleep monitor

So whenever my screensaver lights up and I'll be back to wake up the monitor I get the password of the user account guest.  I am running Windows XP home on a dual boot Macbook Pro.  I have the owner administrator account and staff use account for the safety of navigation, which is attached to Power User.  Regardless of which account I'm in, if the monitor goes to sleep, wake up, I have to enter a password, which is terribly boring.  I have the option "Ask for password when the computer wakes from sleep mode" unchecked under the Advanced tab of the Power Options Control Panel in the control panel.  I have my power supply mode set to always on while that plugged.  I also have my user defined in fast user switching accounts.

At this point, I wonder if the standard user account is an exaggeration.  Maybe I should do all my work on behalf of owner so that at home?

If anyone can help, that would be nice.

    Thank you.

Great, thank you!  Who did.  Although it took several attempts to analysis of reading this real Panel sees this checkbox.  For some reason any I just kept missing it.  But now all is good.  And I'm less annoyed.

    Thank you.

  • eHome IR transmitter fails to wake from sleep

I am running Windows 7 64 bit on an HP box bought less than a year ago.  A Hauppauge 2250 tuner card is installed.  The tuner card is connected to my Comcast Cable box by an IR transmitter.  The system worked well for months, but now I find that the IR Transmitter is not working after coming out of sleep mode.  Reboot and everything works well again.

How can I get the IR transmitter to continue functioning when the computer wakes from sleep?

    THX,

    Ross

first thing to do is to try a system restore to the last time it worked.

  • Computer won't wake from sleep after installing the update July 2013

Original title: a reason any after July 2013 windows update mode "sleep" freeze my computer

Before I wake up problems due to incompatibility with windows 7 and SATA Hard drives (WD). This problem has been fixed with Windows Update August 2012.  Just recently after July 2013 Windows Update. After that my computer is in mode "sleep" for a certain time it freezes and will not restart until I press and hold the power button until the computer turns off. Then pressing the windows button star as a "Recovery Windows" message will appear.

I blame the July 2013 Windows Update. But I can't be sure what it causing the problem... I cleaned the Reg via CC & norton util 16 more run antiwalware Malwarebytes and run a Norton virus check. the lock in question remains.

    Any ideas?

Problem solved... I had added a USB 3.0 Hub to my system. Unfortunately I do not share this Yauqb, thinking that a USB problem would not cause the fault that the USB (connected devices to the) worked well, my lack of this info likely extended the solution time.

Somehow that it finally dawned on me that look at the manufacturers site hub, of course nestled in the catacombs of the FAQ is a text of presentation all by unchecking the checkbox in the section of wake-up USB Device Manager.

When you look in Device Manager, USB devices are not the easiest to deal with because there are many multiple subdivisions more with no name and only cryptic blurbs attached when you look in the properties. Lucky a USB 3.0 arrives as 'High Speed' which reduces my 3-point action fields, uncheck all sleep problems fixed.
