Configuration file management custom specific server

I have a domain (testdomain) with two manager servers deployed on node1 and node2. The server administrator is also deployed on node1. I have also a custom configuration file that I save as areas/testdomain/config/test subdirectory in both nodes. The configuration file contains specific values in server. The problem is that whenever I start the managed server in node2, the custom configuration file is replaced by that of node 1 (where the server administrator is deployed). How can I avoid this? Notice that I'm using 11g and would like to keep my config file in the subdirectory domains/testdomain/config.

Managed server always updates the entire configuration directory (DOMAIN_HOME/config /) in their local computer with the directory "config" of server computer admin to each managed server restart.
It is to ensure that the managed server always gets the last configuration whenever he starts. This is necessary and expected behavior.

I don't know why you want to maintain a separate configuration for node2, all nodes in an area still should have the same configuration (config.xml file).

Maybe if I understand your condition, I can suggest a better solution to achieve it rather than trying to keep a separate copy of the configuration for node2 in the config directory.

If you have specific files to the server, we encourage you to keep DOMAIN_HOME/servers / Directory. For example, areas/DomaineTest/servers/managedserver2/test /.

  • Can someone tell me where are the configuration files managed by the CRS resources?

    Hello

    I'm new to SIR and I am curious about certain topics, CRS.

    Could someone explain me where I find the configuration of the resources held by the CRS?  These resources I see later with the crs_stat command?

    I know how stat them (crs_stat) I know how to handle (for ex: crs_relocate) but I guess there is also configuration files that store settings for example which define nodes (target) where run them etc..

    Thank you.

    As FreddieEssex said, this info is in the OCR. It's a binary file, not a traditional text-based configuration file.

    Normally, you use crsctl or srvctl utility to change the configuration of the resource.

    You can also use the utility GRID_HOME/bin/ocrdump $ to clear the content of OCR in a file > but even in this case, some of the information is still in form binary (a lot of hexadecimal characters).

    I start a cache server by running the $COHERENCE_HOME/bin/cache-server.sh file. But I don't how it is configured.
    The configuration files are used to create this cache server? How do I know?
    I check the contents of the cache-.sh file.
    In my view, the config.xml file - cache-coherence, consistency-pof - config.xml file and leader tangosol-coherence are used, no?

    After the start of a cache server, view the output carefully and you will find the configuration files are used. For example, the configuration files are displayed in bold background in the following text:

  • setenv OTF file Configure Tomcat environment settings to serve as an integrator

    In Installation guide under installing Integrator Tomcat server its cities that we need create a setenv file and configure the settings memory Tomcat adapted to our needs.

    I created a setevn.sh file that has under content:

    Export JAVA_OPTS = "- server - Xmx512m".

    I got the content above of glasses.

    It will be great if someone can explain to me what is this file and which specifies the content of this file.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards
    Amrit

    The option - Xmx defines the maximum memory size of the Java heap for the Tomcat process running Integrator Server. If you look below you, you should increase this value higher than 512 m (.5 GB) in order to run integrator in Server mode graphics. The Setup Guide for the Integrator Server recommend a minimum of 1 G (1024 m) but, if you have more memory, you should be put higher:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E35976_01/General.240/eid_install/TOC.htm#Tomcat%20configuration%20recommendations

    If your size is too small, Tomcat (which hosts the Integrator server) will run out of memory during the processing of your data.

  • External configuration files to WebLogic Server 10.3.4

    Hey,.

    I have a question. I have external configuration files, and I don't know where to place them, or better how to add the path where configuration files located on servers WebLogic classpath?

    I worked with JBOSS and here I've added a few lines in the startup script. In glassfish here I can do through the administration gui.

    The files are *.cfg files and the error output is the following:

    PATH_INSTANCIA:
    log4j:error could not read the configuration file [nullCONFIG.cfg].
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: nullCONFIG.cfg (no such file or directory)

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi Jack,

    You must add the folder where the configuration file is present in the classpath for WLS. Change the CLASSPATH in setDomainEnv.cmd/setDomainEnv.sh (make a backup of these files :) - just in case) to include the path of the config file.

    Restart the server and WLS should be able to choose the file.

    In your code, you can have the line as follows

    Thread.currentThread () .getContextClassLoader () .getResource ("filename")

    As you have already added the file to the classpath, it will be able to get the reference to the file.

    Thank you
    Patrick

    But I don't know, I'm going to venture a guess. There's a properties.xml file stored in the Hyperion\smartview\cfg directory on their machine (or the drive shared depending on how Smartview has been installed) is that their machine is so locked or read only directory so they cannot update the file? Remember that this is only a guess

  • webutil read file function finds the file on the application server

    Hello

    I want to select and read a file (possibly .pdf) and save it to the database.

    To achieve this, I:

    1) created a table, deltia (key primary aa, varchar2, blob, other columns... image_blob, filename)

    (2) created a block form of database based on the deltia table. The element of the "image_blob" column type is image

    and the image format is "tiff".

    (3) wrote the following piece of code to perform the selection of local file (successfully)

    Select the FUNCTION (i_FileFiltre IN Varchar2 default vDefFileExt)

    RETURN VARCHAR2

    IS

    vPath Varchar2 (128);

    vFileName Varchar2 (256);

    vFileFiltre Varchar2 (200): = i_FileFiltre;

    Begin

    vPath: = CLIENT_WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT. Get_Temp_Directory;

    vFileName: = WEBUTIL_FILE. FILE_OPEN_DIALOG

    (

    vPath,

    '',

    vFileFiltre,

    "Select the file to download.

    ) ;

    Return vFileName;

    END selection;

    The form above function call is:

    Declare

    vFileName Varchar2 (200);

    Begin

    vFileName: = PKG_File_Ops.Selection;

    If vFileName is not null then

    : eq_deltia_metakinhshs. Filename: = vFileName;

    End if;

    End;

    (4) wrote the piece of code to the game/place the file selected in the form element "image_blob", as following:

    client_image.read_image_file (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,)

    substr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename, instr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,-1)).

    "eq_deltia_metakinhshs.deltio_image");

    The call to the packaged procedure client_image.read_image_file does not work. It returns error

    "47109 - cannot locate the/u01/oracle/temp /... image file"

    In other words, the system will search to read the selected file locally on the server App.

    Thank you

    SIM

    This error indicates that your server is a unix platform: 47109-cannot locate image file/u01/oracle/temp /

    If it is correct, then your webutil.cfg is not been set correctly.  Entries for transfer.appsrv are in reference to the appsrv and not the client.  So you currently C:\temp which is a directory of Windows and not Unix.

    (2) Transfer.appsrv.Read.1 =c:\temp. It is already set.

    3) Transfer.appsrv.Write.1=c:\temp. It is already set.

  • Configuration file

    Guys, I need to take your brain if you don't mind.

    We have an application that connects to a specific server. Information on the server is configurable, but the user must do so within the application. The team wants to deploy the OTA application without having to ask the user to change the server or without having to configure themselves. My question is, you know in a way that we can make the configurable information so it changes when the user to install the application? Something similar to an .ini file that contains the information from the server and is installed with the application. Computer SCIENCE team will not have access to the code where they cannot recompile the application with the new server information. The ".ini" file would be the best option because the team would just need to change but I don't know if this is possible.

    Thank you

    There are a number of ways to do this, here are a few examples.

    1. If you are installing using the Explorer and you use BlackBerry handheld software version 4.3.0 +, you can add attributes to your jad file.

    How - to read the attributes of a JAD file programmatically

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800708/800646/How_To _...

    2. you may send to the user configuration information.  The application could be tuned for an email malicious message (some object, body, etc.) and read the configuration information.

    3. If the BlackBerry handheld computers have micro SD cards, the configuration information could be copied/stored/read the micro SD card.

    You may be experiencing bug CSCtg78612.  This occurs when the CSA MC is updated from a previous version of 6.0 to 6.0.2 and managed agents have not yet been upgraded.  You should be able to solve the problem by programming upgrades the agent for the affected hosts.

  • VPN configuration file

    Hello

    I have a small question, I need to transfer the configuration of one VPN concentrator to another and I'm in the management of fle section and I'm clicking on the TFTP transfer but I don't know what controls to put in the fields. I see a box that says file hub and next to that is a box that says Action and there is the word Get in there and then I have 2 other boxes. I told TFTP server and the other says TFTP Server File.So can you tell me what that orders to put in those boxes to get the file to the VPN.

    Thank you

    There are several ways to do so.  Via TFTP, you can copy the CONFIGURATION file from a remote TFTP server using PUT.  TFTP file to the other 3 k and name CONFIG. BAK.  You can then go to the file management screen and Exchange configuration files.  Another option can be found on the link below.

  • Code to change the search option to search QD on the field in the Configuration item on a specific call screen

    We have an obligation to change the search option to search QD on the field in the Configuration item on a specific call screen.

    By default, all our leaders tend to have the default value 'Client' on the field Configuration point QD.  This is the case after that they took the customer on the call screen, when they enter the CI field and press ENTER, it refreshes automatically just the IC, where the selected customer is the owner of the aircraft.

    However, on a screen specific IPK call status, we want the search Configuration option to point QD to always change the option "Config Item Title', not 'customer '.

    No idea how to change this option only if you are using this specific screen and the default value remains the same for all the other forms of appeal?

    Thanks for any help,

    Ian

    Hey Ian!

    Appearently, you can take full control over the default search with a custom script menu item. This is an example how to do this in the Custom_InCallDetails.js file:

    function CustomLoad() {
      var ciqd = da.BTN_ITEM_REFQD;
      if(ciqd){
        var etp = da.ENTITY_TYPE;
        if(etp && etp.value=='7') ciqd.DefaultMenu = "CITYPEQUICK"
        else ciqd.DefaultMenu = "CUSTQUICK";
      }
    }

    (change the number 7 to the entity type Ref you need)

    Unfortunately this change script default for a user permanently. So if he had put any custom value before it is crushed.

    If you need to keep the default values personalized search menu, maybe you need further customization to store the user selected value in a wrapper environment and set the value to return if necessary (just an idea).

    Best regards, Gytis
