Configure client PCoIP size policy image cache

Hello

Above part of the GPO setting view PCoIP general Session Variables and controls the size of the cache client PCoIP image.

Is there any negative impact if the size of the cache above is set on a large number (for example the maximum 300 MB) and we use a zero client, which cannot do no matter what cached image (I think). I'm guessing that there is no negative impact, just that we will not see the benefit of the cache of the images, but I'd like to hear other opinions

Thank you

number1vspherefan.

The parameter is not applicable to zero clients so I don't see any negative impact.

    Hello

    Our environment is Essbase 11.1.2.2 and work on Essbase EAS and components of Shared Services. One of our user tried to execute the Script of Cal of a single application and in the face of this error.

    Dynamics Processor Calc does not reach more than [100] ESM blocks during the calculation, please increase the CalcLockBlock setting, and then try again (a small data cache setting can also cause this problem, check the size of data cache setting).

    I did a few Google and found that we need to add something in the Essbase.cfg file as below.

    Dynamics Processor Calc 1012704 fails to more blocks ESM number for the calculation, please increase the CalcLockBlock setting, and then try again (a small data cache setting can also cause this problem, check the size of data cache setting).

    Possible problems

    Analytical services cannot lock enough blocks to perform the calculation.

    Possible solutions

    Increase the number of blocks of analytical Services can allocate to a calculation:

    1. Set the maximum number of blocks of analytical Services can allocate at least 500.
      1. If you are not a $ARBORPATH/bin/essbase.cfg on the file server computer, create one using a text editor.
      2. In the essbase.cfg folder on the server computer, set CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH to 500.
      3. Stopping and restarting Analysis server.
    2. Add the command SET LOCKBLOCK STUDENT at the beginning of the calculation script.
    3. Set the cache of data large enough to hold all the blocks specified in the CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH parameter.

    In fact in our queue (essbase.cfg) Config Server we have given below added.

    CalcLockBlockHigh 2000

    CalcLockBlockDefault 200

    CalcLockBlocklow 50

    So my question is if edit us the file Essbase.cfg and add the above settings restart services will work?  and if yes, why should change us the configuration file of server if the problem concerns a Cal Script application. Please guide me how to do this.

    Yes it must *.

    Make sure that you have "migrated settings cache of database as well. If the cache is too small, you will have similar problems.

    When we increase the font size then the image become as large and that's why they fade, there should be a way to increase the single font size not image or symbol, so that they erase.

  • increase the 'size of the cache pending' of our cube ASO to capture whole database in memory?

    Happy new year everyone,

    We want to take full advantage of our 54 GB of free memory on our server Exalytics X 4.

    From this site, I read more in anticipation of the ASO cache size will reduce the disk i/o.

    The default / .dat file size of data from our database of the ASO is 9.9 GB with more 100 million cells entry level.

    We should increase the 'size of the cache in waiting"our ASO to 9.9 GB cube so that the entire .dat will be cached?

    Thank you.

    ===============

    PS. Here's what I found in ASO Tuning white paper, which seems to recommend 512 MB or 1 GB.

    ASO cache size has an effect on the performance of loading data. For

    small databases with cells of entry 2 million or less, the default

    ASO cache size to 32 MB is sufficient. For a larger database

    with 20 million cells, 64 or 128 MB of cache is more appropriate.

    A database with 1 billion cells or more, the size of the cache can

    be placed as high as 512 MB or 1 GB if memory permits.

    Put all of the memory base looks really cool, but my experience is that in most cases it is not necessary. In my experience, the benefit of the ASO cache decreases rapidly. Here's an example I wrote about running aggregations:

  • In a widget of Composition can triggers dynamically reposition in what concerns the different sizes of image of hero?

    I'm working on a design where using Composition widget is best suited to my needs for customization. My plan is to position the trigger under the goal of hero image thumbnail. As each trigger is selected, a different hero image appears as it should. However, each of my hero images vary in vertical height. If I post the triggers, say, 50px below #1 and #2 image image is much larger, #2 image overlaps the triggers. Not good.

    Is it possible in this widget for do triggers dynamically reposition (force push) depending on the size of image of hero, now a uniform fill between?

    Or is this only possible by giving each project it's own, renouncing a widget in total and by treating the thumbnails just as page links?

    (Visuals provided here):

    Thanks for any advice you can share,

    You will need to use nested widgets, even if this often made quite a mess of using triggers remote because of the conflicting functions of widget.

  • Client PCoIP throws "view connecting to server communication error."

    Hello
    We have a Horizon view 6. Connecting customers PCoIP (Wyse/Samsung) get "View connection server communication error" while there is no problem connecting PC/iPad/iPhone with Horizon View Client or web browser.

    On client PCoIP I tried checking "do not verify server identity certificates" and also tried to put 4172 or 443 or 80 on the port for the view connection server, but they get the same error.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    It has been resolved

    Our internal certification authority using the certificate with RSASSA-PSS signature algorithm; Zero clients do not support this type of certificate. We changed it to emit SHA RSA instead.

    And also on zero Clients make sure that "Warn before you connect to untrusted servers" has been selected.

  • Photo size under > image > image shows 3.1 GB size.  However save as tiff saying more 4.00 GB will not limit?

    Photo size under > image > image shows 3.1 GB size.  However save as tiff saying more 4.00 GB will not limit?  It makes no sense at all.  What is the problem?

    The image size dialog box includes no additional layers.

    So if you have more than one layer, it will probably be more than 4 GB. In this case, you will need to save as psb.

  • Size of the cache on the server of Mirage

    Hello

    on the Mirage server, we have defined a D: drive with 100 GB for caching.

    The dirve is filled up to 99%.

    What is the preferred size for the Cache Directory?

    Mirage to allocates the full disk space each time?

    Is it possible to redirect the Cache Directory in a unc path a set a limit for the size of maximum Cache?

    Thanks in advance

    I think that the default is set during installation. If you left the default, I think that it is 10 GB. If you have defined the set of 100GB then uses this to the chunkstorecache used for deduplication and functions SIS with regard to CVD. I don't think that it would be recommended to redirect to another location you may meet other things that cause latency or other number.

  • The image caching and report

    Dear all,

    I have a report on my home page that contains images. This report is quite slow and takes about 5 seconds to load on the photo of page.for what we are doing is to put us on the server and in our database, we have a table that saves some info on image as image folder name and etc. Now, we decide to use image collection and method according to what I read in various articles, but edit the Apache server httpd.conf file.
    #Activate file caching
    ExpiresActive On
    ExpiresDefault "access plus 300 seconds"

    <Directory "D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\ohs\Apache\Apache\images\MO\WebDav">
        Options FollowSymLinks MultiViews
        AllowOverride All
        Order allow,deny
        Allow from all
        ExpiresByType image/gif "access plus 1 month"
        ExpiresByType image/jpg "access plus 1 month"
        ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 month"
    </Directory>
    My report query that has been simplified
    SELECT distinct
        a.public_sale_id,
        a.end_date ,
        a.NAME,
        decode(a.photo_frontpage,null,'no_image_47_35.gif',a.public_sale_id||'/t_'||a.photo_frontpage) photo_frontpage,
    FROM AA a
    LEFT JOIN ..
    LEFT JOIN ...
    LEFT JOIN ...
    LEFT  JOIN ...
    WHERE a.end_date > trunc(sysdate-6)
    AND (UPPER(a.NAME) LIKE '% '||upper(:P1_SEARCH)||'%'
         )
    and inside the attribute of PHOTO_FRONTPAGE report I have:
    <div style="display:block; float:left; width:47px; cursor:pointer;"><img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#MO/WebDav/#PHOTO_FRONTPAGE#"></div>
    but now my manager telling me image caching server will not help in our case because we use the db table as well is that correct?

    Hello

    If you need to convince your manager and to shorten the discussion, here is my statement as one of the members of the APEX development team. :-)

    Your approach is NOT hitting the database for each image it's load!

    Just run the query page to run and return to the HTML of your report page in the database.
    It does not matter if you use #IMAGE_PREFIX # or replace it directly by / i /. If you take a look at the HTML source you report the result page you will see that the APEX motor has automatically replaced all references to #IMAGE_PREFIX # by / i /. If your final image URL request will always be something like

    /i/MO/WebDav/no_image_47_35.gif

    If you use Apache, all URLS that refer to the virtual directory * / i / * will always be handled by Apache as requests for static files. Normally, this virtual directory is mapped to a physical directory called \images\, because it is in your case.
    All URLS that use * / pls/apex / * in the URL are managed by mod_plsql which will hit the database to perform the specified procedure. As f, wwv_flow.show or wwv_flow.accept.

    To prove to your manager that you do not hit the database, just to show him the output HTML of your page that it does not contain all of the URLS with the prefix/pls/apex/or have a look on the "Net" Firebug Panel to see what requests are made.

    Hope that helps.

    Concerning
    Patrick

  • create the image cache variable

    Hello world

    I use swfloader for loading an image and store its contents in an array, so if it is loaded again in the future it can be loaded directly from this variable instead to download again.

    First time when I load the image, it is loaded correctly and when I load the image even secondtime, it loads correctly for this variable, but old image is removed from the page. I am not able to understand what is the cause, here's the code I used for that.

    public void loadimage(_data:Object) {}

    check if it does not exist in the cachedata variable, then download another load from the cache

    If (cachedata [_data.url] == null) {}
    var _swfloader:SWFLoader = new SWFLoader;
    _swfloader. Load (_data. (URL);
    _swfloader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, EventDelegate.create (onImagesComplete, imgconta iner));
    } else {}
    imgcontainer.addChild (cachedata [_data.url]);
    }

    }

    public void onImagesComplete(event:Event,imgcontainer):void
    {
    var __tpLd:SWFLoader = event.target as SWFLoader;
    var imgContents = __tpLd.content;

    store in the variable cachedata

    CacheData [filename] = imgContents;

    var extension: String = filename.substring (filename.length - 3, filename.length);

    imgcontainer.addChild (imgContents);

    }

    Please help me on this...

    Thank you

    It's because you're cached _tpLd.content which will be a Bitmap object. Thus, as soon as you do an addChild again about it, it will be removed from the previous container because it can have only one parent.

    The solution is rather to BitmapData cache:

              varbitmapData:BitmapData = (contentasBitmap).bitmapData;

    _imageDataCache.putImageData (_imageId, bitmapData);
    For example, you can reuse it by building a new Bitmap of the same BitmapData object. The difference in memory usage will be negligible that you use again the same BitmapData.
    Here is an implementation of the CachedImage with ImageDataCache component so that we do not have to write the plumbing around code. You can use or modify your code in the same direction. It is available at:

  • Image cache problem

    Responsible for the image in a movie, I ve made some changes to it (masking) saved in a temporary folder in the server via php and a button to load the results in a different setting in the same movie. The problem is that the image shown in the movie will always be one recorded before, such that it is saved in the browser IE and Firefox cache´s. If I put the image directly in the folder temp of server´s, via ftp, the browser will display the last image sucessfully.
    No way to tell the browser to load the updated image cache during playback of the movie when running?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Horus
    Thanks a lot for your advice, but I tried and there was no effect at all. Finally, I used the html tag then now works fine.
    Thanks in any case.

  • Set the size of the cache does not work (to the great usefulness of RAM)

    Hello
    I posted this question in another forum, but they told me it would be better to aks that here:
    I m read in a csv table and put in a primary database (DB_QUEUE)
    and several secondary databases (DB_BTREE). I m using the Berkeley DB 4.7
    for with C++. For the primary database, I let the standart for the secondary cache size
    databases that I want to use 16 MB:

    unsigned long cache_byte = (1024 * 1024 * 16);
    s [a]-> set_cachesize(0,cache_byte,1)

    dry [*] are the secondary databases
    and the size of the cache is set before you open databases.
    The problem is when I run the program it allocates more memory.
    but it should just use a little bit more than once 16 MB.
    Can someone help me?

    You can open all databases in a unique environment, with just a cache? Happens usually better, because Berkeley DB can share the cache based on access patterns.

    That said, an increase in size of the memory can be caused by a leak of any where in the application - it may have nothing to do with the cache of Berkeley DB. Have all of the tools that could help track where the memory is allocated? If you're on Linux, valgrind (http://valgrind.org) is great for this sort of thing.

    Kind regards
    Michael Cahill, Oracle Berkeley DB.
