Confused in 64 bit vCenter Installation?

Hello world

I have Windows Server 2003 STD x 6 R2 SP2 with SQL Server 2008 STD x 64 SP1, I have successfully created 32-bit DSN using the ODBCad32.exe

but when the installation proceed, he settled in program files (x 86)? where can I get the vCenter installation files pure 64-bit?

Thank you.

Kind regards

AWT

> where can I get the vCenter pure 64-bit installation files?

vCenter isn't 64-bit, it supports 64 - bit OS.  Hence the need for the 32-bit DSN.

  • Confusion: two 32-bit installation on the download page programs

    Hello:

    I need to know how to proceed * IF * I inadvertently installed 32-bit v50 ' XP/Vista' version on my Win7 and Win10 systems. Reference: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3025405

    Back story:

Today ' today - on my third, backup, Win7 Office - I noticed two different options of 32 bits here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ the column headings are very blurred (see screenshot). But I finally found the two 32-bit installers is the correct version for 7/8/8.1/10 to install on * this * rig.

~ 2 days ago, however, when I updated my other two systems (Win7 and Win10), I do not notice that new, third option, or maybe, it wasn't there. Can I have inadvertently installed version ' XP/Vista' on a Win7 box and an area of Win10.

I'll come back on those computers later and will try to check.

Until I do, here are my questions:

    (1) how can I know if installed the correct 32-bit version of Fx 50 on my other 2 boxes yesterday - the version for Win7 and more?

    (2) if installed the one bad (the XP/Vista version), I have to:-my backup profile and install the correct version on top of the existing v50 build? -my backup profile, Fx to uninstall and reinstall the correct version? -do nothing, if it is not working properly? -do something else?

    Thank you!

Same version of Firefox is delivered by two hyperlinks if you use Win7 or greater (or Vista with compatibility SHA2 Microsoft Update).

The link of the left hand for XP/Vista bypasses the XP/Vista limited to SHA1 support.

If you are using XP/Vista and select the link to the right, you would get Firefox 43.0.1 instead of the current version, and then you need to update Firefox manually. or wait until the automatic updater has done the update for you the latest version.

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

In addition, please see the article with some useful information:

  • New vSphere/vCenter installation problems

    Hi all

User of long date, but first time poster, so go easy on me.

So I hit a bit of a weird situation here, I am currently working on a vSphere environment completely new to replace our existing (don't ask, long story).

Through the documentation and also various other stuff on the web I came with the plan went forward and installation:

    Here's what I did:

2 separate servers involved, 1 for vcenter server and 1 for the SQL database

Installation of SQL and ready to go with 2 DB created RSA and VCDB, entry with relevant permissions.

After installing TS for authentication UNIQUE I went ahead with the installation of SINGLE sign-on, it went through fine. Service accounts used as required and set password, research service sdk admin@System-Domain responds in a browser, etc. etc.

I then installed the service of inventory, as it went through fine.

Then, I installed the web client of vsphere that even once went well, and I was able to connect with the admin@System-Domain above account and find that the discovery of AD was detected successfully our field. Large.

I then added an ad group to the __Administrators__ SSO group. This ad group contains my admin account, after which I was able to connect to the web client with my account.

Then, I went through installing vCenter server, using the relevant service accounts and connections of databases etc. I used the ad group that I added to the PSO previously for the last step. This completed without error.

I am now to connect on the web client again, with my account, manage vcenter nothing helps...

The vCenter server does not appear in the drop-down list in the Administration or in the vcenter section lists. Also, I can not connect to vcenter using the thick client (c#).

My first thought was that it has not registered with the service of inventory, but I have since reinstalled vCenter Server and installing it told me that there is already a vcenter Server present (I want to delete).

Anyone have any ideas about where to go from here?

    Thank you

    Jon

I thought account and you know I had at the bottom of the issue, it was around the fact that our AD has been organized where users and groups are in different locations, and automatically detected in SSO AD settings were not return users correctly. Strange, I know, but it seems that deletion and recreation detected entries with Group dn channels that everything fell into place and slightly modified basic user.

I thought it was strange to have made this Setup countless times without this kind of question.

  • Migration path from 32-bit vCenter Server 4.0 to 64 - bit vCenter Server 4.1?

I'm having a hard time coming up with a migration path that will get me to my existing vCenter Server 4.0 (Windows 2003 32-bit), to vCenter Server 4.1, what I understand is 64-bit only.

My current vCenter runs in a guest on a 64-bit hardware, so from a point of view of "hardware", I have no problem.   But I can't get Windows 2003 32 - but to 2008 R2 64 bit in place.  I could build a new server, but I am at a loss on how to migrate from my old server vCenter function to the new.  Several instructions simply said to import and export the sql database - which I am not convinced that I can do without explicit instruction (no mssql expers here).

I hope that there is a simpler way.  Maybe if I could set up a new 64-bit server, bind them, leave it to move data across and decomission one 32-bit?  (I don't know if the vCenter Server linking works this way).

Any suggestions, or paths of existing documented migration that could help me?  I'm a little confused as to how to address the issue.

    Thank you

    -Ken

The important question is where you vCenter data stored? Using SQL Express, a local SQL Server or a remote SQL Server? All information related to your vCenter environment is stored in the database - so if you build a new vCenter server all you need to do is the Connector ODBC to point to the existing database and when you install vCenter 4.1 the data base will be get upgraded.

  • Upgrading vCenter 4.0 32-bit to 64-bit vCenter 4.1

    Everyone...

Upgrading vCenter vCenter 4.1 to 4.0u1. The current server running vCenter 4.0 u1 is just a Windows 2003 based VM.

Databases supporting vCenter and Update Manager is installed on a physical Server SP3 to SQL 2005 64-bit.

I want to plan and to implement the upgrade as follows:

Remove the current vCenter domain and turned off.

Turn on a new virtual machine running Windows 2008 64 bit and rename it as the old server vCenter.

Add the new vCenter server to the domain

Installing vCenter 4.1 on the new vCenter server and use the existing databases that support

    the old server vCenter.

Use the Update Manager to upgrade vSphere 4.1 on each managed host computers.

What possible questions could meet or must be aware, as I implement this

    upgrade process?

During the installation process and it asks to use an existing database, will be installing

just updated the database to process and store the configuration data of the server vCenter 4.0?

Once the upgrade is complete for the new vCenter server.  I see the same configuration

as I saw in the old server vCenter configuration?

Looking forward to all the world the answers... Thanks in advance!

I agree with Redbaron51.  I used the setting level guide and things worked perfectly.  There is a batch file that backs up the database and converts it to the new 64-bit server.  It was very easy and worked as advertised.

  • 4.1 upgrading of concern (32-bit vCenter) upgraded to 64 - bit

Will start working 4.1 update soon in the laboratory.  My thought is that 4.0 is a 32-bit version of VC.  We installed on the OS, so need to create a 32-bit 64-bit DSN.  Someone has updated a vCenter 4.0, linked below on a 64-bit OS (2 k 8)?  I expect that the process of update 4.1 to deal with it effectively (IE, I create 64-bit DSN start upgrade and the upgrade process modifies an existing installation of 32-bit to 64-bit install?)  Any input appreciated.

  • confusion of 32-bit vs 64-bit

I've been using CS4 extended for a few months on a 64 bit Vista computer and recently discovered that the installer installs both 32 & 64 bit versions.

I assumed the system would automatically run the 64-bit version. I just found out after installing a new 64-bit plugin and not finding what I was apparently using the 32-bit version all along. My confusion stems mainly from the fact that the plugin installed in the 32-bit version and not the 64, but it seems that all of my custom actions are in two versions, and my custom workspace is both. PS automatically a copy of a new action and workspace in both versions, and the plugin installer only put in one? TIA

    cbeas wrote:

It would be safer to stick to the 32 bit version?

Unless you have a few old 3rd party plugins which do not work in the 64-bit version, there is absolutely no need to run the 32-bit version at all.

  • Cannot install the update - Windows 7 64 bit (windows installer error - program might not work)

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I'm unable to install updates for iTunes (last successful update was my PC itunes 12.2.2.25 64 bit). The error message I get when you try to run the downloaded exe file from apple is: 'there is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your supplier of staff or the package of support ". Please indicate what the problem is and how I can fix. I am not able to backup or synchronize my devices (for example iphone 6 sec) over to my PC as it is said that iTunes must be 12.3 or higher. Thank you - Bryan

Try to repair the Apple Software Update of the programs and features Control Panel, and then reinstall iTunes.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • G7 2233 pilots missing after windows 7 ultimate 64-bit new installation

Hi - I received the computer modeled above with 8 pre-installed windows. I installed a clean install (wiped readers) and installed the operating system Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. When I did, none of the internet connections would even work. I since found (somehow) a pilot who was consistent, which deals with the missing wifi adapter, but I still need the following items:

    Ethernet controller: PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 & SUBSYS_184B103C & REV_05

    PCI device: PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & SUBSYS_184B103C & REV_01

    UNKNOWN DEVICE: ACPI\HPQ004

I can't find these anywhere, PLEASE help.

When you request support, please provide the HP model name and/or product the full number of the computer in question.

    Assuming that you have a HP Pavilion laptop g7-2233 cl, specifications, other than the CPU, the RAM and the size of the screen, seem to be the same as my sister-brother g6-2210us laptop HP Pavilion computer. Drivers 64-bit of Windows 8 listed for two computers are the same. I installed Windows 7 64 bit on his computer about a month ago and used the following drivers of multiple origins;

Drivers for Chipset AMD (Chipset, USB 3.0, SATA/RAID)

    AMD Catalyst Display Driver

    Realtek FE family LAN Driver

HP sp54972 Atheros 5xxx/9xxx WLAN Driver

HP IDT HD Audio Driver sp59620

HP sp58539 touchpad driver Synaptics PS2

    HP CoolSense sp60051

and from Windows Update "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor.

It is possible that the WLAN chipset on your machine is different and may require different drivers.

I've also updated updated the Synaptics driver to v16.2.21 on Synaptics site. Some of the factors above may require the HP sp59202 software framework. In addition, the WebCam requires the package of "VideoCM" of the "SWsetup" folder in the original installation of Windows 8 and CyberLink YouCam sp59986.

When you are finished, there is no unknown device on its system.
