Connect an Ipod to a laptop by a USB cable

I want to be able to play music on my IPOD from ITUNES on my laptop, but it is difficult, because my IPOD often disconnects from my laptop when I move or I move the laptop (due to disconnection of the USB cable). I want a medium that allows me to connect my IPOD to my computer without the use of a USB cable - so that I can play everything that's about it on my computer comfortably and without risk of disconnection and also the possibility of losing files on my IPOD if you unplug. Any help?

Why not get a dock speaker for listening to music? Use of your iPod through the computer cannot be required if the iPod is the only device that hold all the media. If they were on your computer, then you would not have to use the iPod. See recover from iPod media if necessary. If your library is too large for the laptop then pick it up on an external drive. iTunes can be a little finicky with NAS storage, but if you really don't like not the cables then SIN might be the way to go.

  • How to connect a HDD Momentus 5400.6 via a usb cable

I am trying to recover data from an internal Momentus 5400.6 hard drive that was installed in a laptop ASUS who died recently. I connected the hard drive to another computer laptop pc under Win 7 sata to a usb cable. But when the system tried to install the driver that a failure has occurred. Through the Device Manager the drive appeared in the list of usb devices with an ASMT1051 tag, but with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and the properties that "this device is not configured correctly. (Code 1) ». I tried to correct the problem by following a post suggesting to delete infcache.1 file in the c:\windows\system32\drivestore subdirectory and then restart and reinstall the hard drive, but that has not fixed the problem. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how to fix this problem?

    Hi again Isha,

Thank you for continuing to read and answer all my dilemmas. My printer is a HP LaserJet 1100. The symptoms were it seems to load the driver ok, no harmful looking for signals through the Device Manager. When I printed a document if the print queue shows the document sent to the printer, but the printer just sitting there - no impression ensued. I tried attached to different usb ports, but nothing seemed to work. I noticed that there are 2 different printers available for printing of property. But neither the printers when selected would be to print a document. So I uninstalled the printer, rebooted and tried again. This time, it seemed to work ok. There was only a printer connected to the system and printed OK.

I don't know if the condition to have 2 printers was caused by the setting of the printer on a different port or not.  I usually disconnect the printer until I need to print anything because of my 'office' layout So it appears I have my system back up and running as usual.

Thanks again for the hand holding ;-)

    Hello @GatZza,

Welcome to the HP support forums.

I appreciate that you try to put your Deskjet 3515 on your network wireless without router.

    I would like to help.

I got the following information from the Printers manual.

To get started with Direct wireless printing

    1. to use live wireless, you must turn on Direct Wireless Control Panel and get the wireless
Direct name and password if you have directly on wireless security:
    a. on the home screen, tap on wireless and then select settings.
    b. If the display shows that the wireless is turned off, select live wireless, then on (No.
    Security) or we (with security).

NOTE: HP recommends that you turn on Direct wireless security. If you turn on safety, only
users with the password will be able to connect wirelessly to the printer. If you disable security,
anyone with a Wi - Fi device to the printer WiFi range will be able to connect to the printer.

    c. Select the display name to display the name Direct wireless.
    d. Select Show password to display the password Direct wireless if you live wireless
    Security on.

2 from your computer wireless or mobile device, Wireless Tower, find and connect wirelessly

Direct wireless password when you are prompted. Then print as you normally would from your computer or mobile
    device.

Open the integrated via Direct wireless Web server

    1. from the home screen, press the wireless button, and then select settings.

    2. If the display shows that the wireless is turned off, select live wireless, then on (No Security) or
    On (with security).

    3. from your computer wireless turn wireless on, to search and connect on behalf of live wireless, for
example: series HP-Print-XX-Deskjet 3510. If you have Direct wireless security, enter in the wireless
Direct password when you are prompted.

    4. in a browser supported on your computer, type the following address: http://192.168.223.1.

When you reach the EWS printers, you should see an option to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

Run the wizard, and then follow the prompts.

  • Is it possible to connect the HP Photosmart C4780 Wireless printer without USB cable?

    Hello

My family and I recently moved and while moving, something inevitably get lost or left for account.  I am fighting to get this printer and will so I don't have to bother people at the front desk at school to print my documents for me.  I have lost/misplaced both the HP Photosmart C4780 printer software disk and the USB cable.  I have no idea where these things are and have not found them within two months, we've been in the new House.

I solved the issue of the loss of the installation disk by downloading it from the HP site.  My problem is now getting beyond the USB connection and get the currently installed software.  Because I run on a MacBook Pro, it always tells me that I need the USB key to continue the installation.  I'm on a Verizon Wireless router, and I even tried to find the printer on my wireless network with no luck.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.

It's the type of cable you will need (ignore the color of the cable, the ends are the important part).

Have a new router is not a problem, but remember the SSID and password wireless exactly, otherwise it will not work (if you decide to try Method 1). It's a bit like "trick" your printer into thinking that your new router is your old a long enough to configure the network settings for the new (desired).

  • How can I connect my 1Connectez 1st generation iPod (original iPod) to a laptop

I have an original iPod and it has a screen old port how to connect it to a laptop and they don't have these kind of show ports more

Not sure what you mean by "display port"...  The dock connector of the original iPod (2001) is a FireWire port.  You really have an original 1st gen iPod, with a (not key or click) scroll wheel that physically turns a circle?  Looks like this

If so, it can connect to a computer equipped with a FireWire port .  To do this, not to connect to a USB port.  There are "scam" products that claim to be a USB-to-FireWire adapter cable, but they don't work; they can even cause damage to the iPod if used.  FireWire and USB work very differently (and even use different power supply voltages); You cannot connect them just by changing the shape of the connector.

If your computer is a Mac (no FireWire port) with a Thunderbolt port, Apple sells a Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter.  On a Windows PC, to connect to the 1st (or 2nd) gen iPod, you add an expansion card of a certain type that provides an actual FireWire interface.  For more details, please provide more information on your situation.

  • Impossible to copy or upload Photos from the iPod to the laptop

Hello.  Because I've recently updated my software (around the week of 09/12/16?) on my iPod Touch (iOS version 10.0.1) and iTunes on my laptop, I was unable to copy and paste pictures of my iPod on my laptop.  Before I could access my iPod similar to an external (E: /) cross Start/computer, double-click on "E: / drive", then follow from there.  My laptop running 'Windows 7 '. When I contacted Apple they could not directly solve the issue, suggesting I acquire a "drop" or use "Facebook" as a gateway to transfer? I downloaded transfer 3rd party software that works, however, I will ask you to purchase a license after the 7 day trial period.  I noticed others in the 'Microsoft community' have experienced the same problem, and tried the 'auto play' suggestion without success.  Any help would be appreciated.

Usually, you must allow the computer to access your Apple device when you connect it. See the following article:

So far I was able to get my ipod to connect using wi - fi or bluetooth connection it search but does not connect.

You can get an Apple TV and that you connect to the Android TV and use AirPlay.

You can also get a cable that connect to the lighting of the iPod port and television. See:

On AV adapters digital Apple for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

Some applications can be supported using the dongle Chromecast connected TV to "throw" the apps screen on TV.

I don't kknow not if your TV supports Chromecast directly without using the dongle Chromecast

  • Problems to connect the Ipod to Itunes after update 12.4.6.1

    Hello people,

I just installed the new update iTunes (Version 12.4.6.1 for 64-bit Windows), once more a new provision which made it very confusing. I just tried to connect my iPod Touch (old enough) to sync my new music but the device does not appear on iTunes anywhere. I use the same yarn I used two days ago and it worked fine and has done for over a year as I tried a different lead but still no joy. The device is recognized by my PC as it starts to load connected as well as it appears in the folder 'My computer' which has an icon indicating 'Device Apple'. Any ideas on how to work?

    Thank you very much

  • Bluetooth speaker no connection with iPod 5th generation

Once solve you one problem, another pops up...

A little more than a week ago, I bought an iHome iBT3, which is a protected against splashing, triangular-shaped speaker. It has bluetooth, which I used about three times now and it was working fine until today.

The other day I had a problem with my iPod which translates into me trying the three methods; force reset, recovery of the device and reset all default settings. Although I have fixed my previous issue, when I tried to connect my speakers today, connected devices emerged as two things that I had never seen before. I chose the setting for iPod to 'forget' the devices and tried to connect my speakers.

I watched for 15 minutes. The speaker tried to connect and connect and connect the iPod has tried to find the device, and they never linked between them; my iHome does not appear on my iPod and my iPod never read that there is a device in the region.

I tried to force the delivery twice, the iPod and it has nothing and if it should happen again, I really, really don't like to restore my iPod because it took me two days and multiple handfuls of hair to do such a thing.

Can I do to get my two devices to connect with each other?

    Thank you in advance.

Update: The speaker is not connecting to my or my sister iPods.

My father has a similar Bluetooth speaker if and which connects both of the devices.
