Can Hi anyone help me please? I just bought a psus4 and I am trying to use it on my network. It is not know where to connect! What I got is all 4 computers connected to my network, I have the main pinion modem that goes to a router 4 ports with 2 of local networks to go down one to 360 a computer 2 other out lans are as follows, we go straight to a computer and the other lan headed a 16 switch port that goes to other computers in my network , my Delmer is where I put the print server and I need to install the software for printing on all my computers? At the present time, the printer is connected to the computer with the direct connection of the router 4 ports sorry for extra post

That your Modem is connected to your router, and the router is connected to the switch, you can connect your print server to the switch. And launch the installation on your computer and configure all settings in this topic. If you want to print from any computer, then you must run the installer on all computers.

  • Unable to connect to the print server after you have disconnected from him

We have a connected printer directly to a Windows 7 Pro computer, and then using this workstation to share the printer between about 4 other computers.  One of the computers randomly stopped printing to the printer.  I open devices and printers and deleted the printer in the list to try to add again.  Once I removed the printer, I tried to connect to the computer that is sharing the printer (start > \\computerName\), but could not even connect to the computer that hosts the printer in order to reconnect.  Someone had a similar problem? If so, please answer.

    Thank you!

I discovered the problem resided with Kaspersky Anti-Virus blocking "network attacks".  Once this has been changed, I was able to connect and print.  Thank you, however!

I just got my EA3500 router. This work is very well but I can't connect the router to my WPSM54G print server. I tried DHCP IP, IP manual, for security, I tried WPA and WPA2, and nothing. How can I solve this? TKS, Antonio

First, turn off the firewall and Antivirus on your computer and re-run the Setup program on your computer...

If, you are unable to find the IP address of the print server... You can manually configure all the settings on your print server... Here is the link to access the PrintServer Setup page: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=8734f16c5ec1476f9d72e663a6f16c57_4129.xml&pid=80&r...

Once the connection to the print server configuration page, you can match the settings of your router for the WPSM wireless... Once this is done, you can set the static IP address to your WPSM i.e 192.168.1.80... Once done with the parameters of this...

Now, rerun the Setup program on your computer... and click on "Computer Configuration", this will install all the drivers related to your print server...

If stil you can not run the Setup program on your computer... Click on the link and follow the instructions how to add the print server on your computer port: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=1da99b59a04c4bad97b05f96f5ca2769_4126.xml&pid=80&r...

  • Network connected to PSUS4 printer goes offline when the PC is shut down...

I am close to giving up this problem, help would really be appreciated.

My printer network disconnects when my computer is shut down or sleep. I have a Samsung printer connected to a print server through a router Linksys WAG160N Linksys PSUS4 wireless. Two computers that are hard cables to the router to see and access the printer without problem. I now have a new laptop Sony Vaio (Vista OS) that accesses the router WAG160N wireless. The Vaio connects to the internet OK, but everytime I shut down the PC, the printer is offline and remains offline to the Vaio when I start again.

If I remove the printer of the Vaio and then 'add printer' again, by selecting the option "Add a network, wireless or bluetooth printer" shows the printer as \\LK90a6dd\p1 network is available. But if I try to connect to it, I have "X Windows cannot connect to the printer". If, instead of this, I choose 'Add a local printer' and select the existing port "\\LK90a6dd\p1 (renderer client-side) ' and the printer driver series Samsung ML1210, the printer is installed, works very well and remains online - until I have stop the Vaio, it is. Then delete the printer, install the printer etc to access the printer again.

    Pleeeaaassseee help...

Kevin, I owe you a drink. I have added the printer as a local printer (as opposed to network), entering the IP, etc print driver, restarted the computer, and... the printer remained online. Unlike many critics of Vista, I found that it is a reasonable operating system. But maybe it's the glitches like these that give it a bad reputation. Thanks a lot for your help. Really enjoyed.

  • Print server attached to the new network, but do not find add printer printer

After an upgrade to a new router (a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400), I spent a LOT of time trying to make everything again to talk with each other.  I've gotten to the point where all the wireless devices PC AND my WPS54GU2 print server are all properly connected (I can log in from another PC print server and print a test page).

Unfortunately, I was completely unable to add the printer connected to the print server to the same PC that can open a session and ping the print server.  The wizard does not find just any network printer and when I type in the name of the server and printer I get the error message "the server for the printer"Print Server Null driver"doesn't have the printer driver installed."

    What I'm doing wrong here?

BTW - I wasn't happy that I had to lower the security of the new router WEP wireless, or that it only took the key to SPELL as the paraphrase, but I also noticed that the print server was not a option for the safety of new protocols there was an upgrade of the firmware available.  Are there new print there servers work better with better security protocols?

    Thank you

    Craig

If the installation wizard is not able to detect the printer connected to your print server. Make sure that the "printer" is correctly plugged into the PS and the Led for the same are lit on the PS.

Second, you can try to configure a TCP/IP port to make the printer work.

Start by defining a static IP address on the PS, and then set the TCP/IP port. The same link is given below:

    http://www6.nohold.NET/Cisco2/UKP.aspx?VW=1&docid=bb9993cc2c764dfab25dcb22d8eb0d35_4175.XML&PID=80&r...

Then, this model does not support the WPA or WPA2 Personal. You can go for WPSM54g that supports both the level of encryption that I mentioned here. See the screenshot below.

  • I can't find the ip address of the print server on my router, DHCP clients

I got the wireless-g WPS54G print server at a yard sale and have downloaded the Setup Wizard.  Everything looks fine until step 7, select print server.  Could not find anything.

Before that, I tried to access the print directly through its ip address server, but can't get it.  I checked all the IPS on the main router and found everything except the print server.

Everything is setup, more than once, exactly as defined in the steps of the installation wizard.

I have Windows 7 and a computer laptop 64 bit.

Any suggestion would be great.  I already spent 2 hours on this thing and am determined to make it work.  All the lights on top of the blink/light print server as it should when they should.  I was not wireless yet, still trying to get this Setup program.

    Thank you

    Chris

Connect to the print server with the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the router.

Press the reset on the print server for 15-20 seconds.

You could get the printer test page, mentioning the IP address of the print server.

If this is not the case, the print server and the router to power cycle.

Open the router setup page and check if you have the IP address of the print server in the DHCP client table.

  • The WPS54G Wireless Print Server works with Vista?

The WPS54G Wireless Print Server works with Vista? I have a new Dell Vista laptop and unable to connect to the print server. The other XP machines on my network will connect correctly.

I just got credit working mine in the answers above with a few small differences.

    1. Add the appropriate printer from the control panel > printers > add printer

    2. Select local printer, and then select [Create New Port] > [Standard TCP/IP Port]

    3. [device type] > [TCP/IP device]. Host name or IP address must be the IP address of the print server device.  I use a linksys router and difficulty mine to 192.168.2.10.  Check and are not [query the printer for and auto...]

    4. once nothing is detected, select [custom] > settings

    5. Select LPR, L2 the name value in the queue for a USB printer.  Turn on [LPR active of counting bytes.  Queue names are distinguished by the printer and I think as Mfg ("queue name" search and replacing your printer for queue names.)

    6. Select the Mfg and printer

    7. If the test page does not have a last thing, it is turn on [Control Panel] LPR Print Services > [programs and features] > [activate Windows features ON OFF] pane.  Go to [Print Services] and check on [LPR Port Monitor]

Hope that makes the magic for you.

  • WPSM54G cannot find print server and not able to print the test page

After several days of trial and error I am so far I'm willing to give up and put this peace of equipment for sale. It is my last attempt to find a solution.

I have a Canon MP510 printer connected to the print server and I managed to configure the print server so that it establishes a wireless connection to the router. I can see the ip address assigned to my router print server and I can log on to the configuration of the print server page.

When I want to set up your computer (software print copy of the Canon MP510 print server) I can not complete the wizard. Step 1 is successful. It shows the print server and the MP510 related to port 1, but in step 2, I get a message that the print server can not be found.

I looked on the forums how to solve. I already tried a fixed ip address to configure the printer manually but not any which solution worked.

Your print server must be set to a fixed IP address, try this IP address: 192.168.1.78... Disconnect ethernet cable between your router and the PS... Both devices power for one minute cycle... Follow the link here after changing the IP address on the PS...

  • Activating HP 2101 nw Wireless G USB Printer Server from another computer

I installed the print server and it works great with my XP computer where I installed the software.  I have a linksys router.  My XP is connected wireless to the router and printer.  I also have a Dell with Vista laptop.  I installed the software updated for my HP 8250 in the laptop.  My laptop is picking up the shape of the signal of my linksys router.  I don't know how to get it to connect to the print server.  I can do without having to install the print server software in my laptop?

Print server software installed and it works well!  No problem!

  • Windows cannot connect to the printer. The name of the printer has been correctly entered, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.

A Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2 32-bit computer is a field, the file and print server.

A computer on the domain is a machine of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit with HP DesignJet 500 24 printer connected via USB.  The printer is running the latest firmware.  The PC is running the latest 64-bit drivers with no problems to the host machine printing.  The host also has the latest drivers 32-bit (x 86) installed by downloading by other computers on the network.  The printer is configured to share with the share name of HPDJ500.

Now, on a machine Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit on the field, I'm trying to connect to the shared printer.  Add a printer > click Next in the wizard of > check "a network printer or a printer attached to another computer" and then click Next > click on "Find a printer in the directory", then click Next > click Find now > HPDJ500 in the list below (the XP machine can see the shared printer on the Windows 7 computer!) and click OK.  At this point, I get an error that says: "Windows cannot connect to the printer.  The name of the printer has been correctly entered, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.  For more information, click Help. »

Alternatively, if I right-click on the HPDJ500 printer listed, then click on connect, I get the same error message but I also see a separate window that says "Connecting to HPDJ500 on H2.ws.net" with the lively projector.  This window also disappears as soon as I clear the error message.

Please note that this printer worked perfectly as a printer shared, hosted on a machine XP 32 bit on the field.  It works perfectly for the new Windows 7 64-bit machine, but we cannot connect from anywhere else on the network (including the server which translates the same exact error message).  On the server, I also preinstalled drivers thinking there was a problem with a 32-bit computer, trying to grasp the correct drivers from the host 64-bit Windows 7, but that doesn't change anything.

    How connect to this printer?

Try using the path UNC path of the printer in the Add Printer Wizard.

Add a printer > network printer > connection to this printer ((deuxieme point)

Click next to browse (leave blank, the name field) or type the UNC path of the printer (i.e. \\Computername\Printername) path

  • Print server - you do not have sufficient permissions to connect to this device

Hello all, received a tricky for you.

Have several printers of various types and brands that are shared on a 08R2 print server
All users have even permission sets.
All computers built the same, running Windows XP, fully patched
Print drivers are the latest universal drivers for any printer model to help, with most HP, Dell and Xerox.

A user on computer A can connect to the printer without any problems
User on computer B receives, you don't have sufficient permissions to connect to this printer, connecting to the printer
B the user on computer A gets you do not have sufficient permissions to connect to this printer, connecting to the printer
B the user on computer B can connect to the printer without any problems.
User C can connect to the printer from any computer without any problem.
User D can not connect to printer from any computer.

Once, all users have been confirmed 4 times to have the same exact permissions. All user accounts have been re-created at least twice at this stage. All systems that have been tested have been rebuilt at least twice, the print server started as a 03R2 with this same problem and has since been switched to different materials and is now running 08R2 and still getting the same problem.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

Please confirm the exact model of your printer?

Here is the link for you to download the drivers for the same thing:

    http://KB.NETGEAR.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/11127/~/NETGEAR-product-compatibility-for-Microsoft-Windows-7

Method 1: You can now go ahead and install the driver manually:

To manually install a printer driver

    1. open devices and printers , click the Start button, and then click the start menu, click devices and printers.

2 right-click the printer that you want to update, and then click printer properties.

    3. click on the Advanced tab.

    4. click new driverand then follow the instructions in the Wizard add printer driver.

For more information, visit the following link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-and-install-printer-drivers

If you can't print wireless, I first suggest you to check the firewall settings. Disable the firewall and try to print.

Method 2: Disable the firewall and check.

The Windows Firewall is enabled by default in this version of Windows. To make sure that it has not been disabled, follow these steps:

    1. open the Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall and then click on Windows Firewall.

    2. in the left pane, click turn Windows Firewall on or off.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. below for each type of network location, click on disable Windows Firewall, and then click OK. We recommend that you turn on the firewall for all network location types.

For more information, visit the following link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Understanding-Windows-Firewall-settings

    Method 3:

    NETWORK PRINTING CONFIGURATION PAGE
    1. press Setup, then scroll to the bottom and look for network.
    2. press OK on the network, it will give you the first option 'display network settings'.
    3. press OK on him and he will give the first option "print a network configuration page."
4 select that and press OK. It will display the network configuration page. This document, you will be able to see the IP address of the printer

Print a network configuration page and note the IP address of the printer.

1 open the printer folder and check the icon of the printer with a checkmark on it and reads the ready state.
    2. right click on the printer icon and select Properties.
    3. Select the ports tab and click on Configure port and enter the same IP address and try printing that would solve the problem.

    I hope this helps.

HP jetdirect 2700w USB wireless print server support M521 series including M521dn. Your printer has 2 USB ports, one on the front (use for direct printing without a computer) and the normal port is at the back (not flat port, I usually call it as 'round' port' and you need a normal/standard USB printer cable to connect to the Jetdirect 2700w (round end in the printer and the flat end to the Jetdirect 2700w).)
