  We had a product supplied by Oracle. The presentation layer objects have read access to the user authenticated. Now, we have created more than a few tables and imported into the presentation layer. So by default, objects are having no access. We would like to change the permissions of access forbidden to read. How can we do it for all the objects at the time? We are not able to see in the roles or users to identity the authenticated user. In the level column, we have this issue.

  Step 1: Resume of RPD

  Step 2: Copy the subject - (area some object you want to change the permissions)

  Step 3: Paste the topic for notebook

  Step 4: Replace the text 'no access 'to' read '.

  If you change something in the RPD in online mode, you must run "Reload Server Metadata. If the changes are in offline mode, you should stop 'Présentation Service' and 'BIServer' services and then restart the first "BIServer" and after "Presentation Server".   You need to use the ODBC connection. Use it dashboard OBI presentation and Excel too.

  Try this.

  1. turn on WiFi tethering via the iPhone.

  2 connect the system to the iPhone tethered via the wireless connection.

  3. without closing the iPhone tethering, disconnect the straps of the iPhone system.

  4. now reconnect the system to the loin and Note If the wireless connect denominator increases.

  I am fairly new to OBIEE, and I need to know what Siebel/fields make up a particular field in the presentation layer. I can put it back together at the physical layer in the repository, but I need to know the exact domain name / fields in Siebel. I've attached a screenshot of the source of the column of the repository, and I don't know where to look further. It is said it is derived from "sum (Fact_W_AGREE_F.GLOBAL1_TOTAL_AMT)", but I don't know what Siebel field is "GLOBAL1_TOTAL_AMT". I also tried after the mapping in Informatica Powercenter Designer and I can't seem to find the correct field.

  

  Also, if I may ask... Why are there 2 tables of facts in the column Type of Source? What does that mean?

  Outside the option proposed by Christian, you can also use the document of ETL data lineage to identify the source column. ETL team normally maintain such a document in each project. If you use BI Apps and you have not created custom fields, you can use the data lineage guide provided by Oracle. Screenshot of the doc is attached below.

  I'm having a time difficult trying to rename a column in the presentation to 11.1.1.9 layer - even if I uncheck 'use the logical name Colmn' the "name" box does not become white, it remains grey. Am I missing something simple? I thought I could rename objects in the presentation layer to make them more user-friendly for some reason any?

  You can pass the query variable to RPD.

  Create a session named PRESENTATION_VARIABLE variable. Write some SQL block initialization as select 'something' double.

  You can now use this session variable in the logical column as VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION. PRESENTATION_VARIABLE).

  Now, go into the dash prompt, change the column by which you want to set the variable presentation. Select request Variable throughout a variable drop-down list.

  Type the name of the variable to query PRESENTATION_VARIABLE.

  Now in your dashboard report, you can use the logical column that uses this query variable.

• Amazon presentation question: can not update the library. The connection to the server has failed.

  I am presenting my application Viewer for the Amazon store. I had tested only on Android devices, because that's what I had at my disposal, and my APK worked perfectly on those.

  However, in my submission for the Amazon store process, I was rejected for the following error message appears when the testers tried to load my folio of the APK:

  Do one thing in each physical database in the physical layer go Conntection pool and right click--> display associated-> boot block... check for unwanted block Init... Double-click on it and disable it.

  Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, I created an ADF application to test its integration with OBIEE 11.1.1.6. The request contains the jsf page that holds the OBIEE dashboard. Next, OBIEE, I created impersonate user. When I run this application on Weblogic Server built-in, it shows dashboard OBIEE perfectly. But when I deploy the application on weblogic OBIEE server, deployed with success but shows following error when we try to access the application via a URL.
  
  Unable to connect to the presentation BI server. Please ensure that it is running, configured correctly, and that the details of the connection in this application is accurate. Please check the log file for more details.
  
  (Http) connection works very well when check it out us inside the app. Can you please help how to solve this problem?

  TIMESTAMPDIFF function first determines the timestamp component that corresponds to the specified interval setting. For example, SQL_TSI_DAY corresponds to the day component and SQL_TSI_MONTH corresponds to the component "month".

  If you want to display the difference between two dates in days using SQL_TSI_DAY, unlike butterflies SQL_TSI_MONTH and so on...

  I need to change the names of columns in the presentation layer. I don't need just the beginning of a Word to be capitalized. I have to go to MDB layer and use the wizard to name change and get all the columns again to the presentation layer. We have a lot of columns manually so would be very laborious. I try to in the presentation layer itself using wizard to change of name, but somehow the 'next' field only is not highlighted to go to the next step. Any suggestions? Also if I change any column name in the presentation manually layer also should I change the name of MDB layer as well.

  I guess that this happens because you have already changed the names of column to upprecase. You can reanme lowercase and then try to change the first letter of the names of columns to uppercase.it should solve the problem.
