Connection internal drive Bay multimedia input usb dislodged the HP Pavilion m9350f?

I got my PC back from "That Chick" computer for the video card GE Force faulty repair and connection hard drive of personal media on my HP Pavilion m9350f Bay PC came off in transit (i "give he's the center of repair a break).  When I plug it on the motherboard for the internal USB connection back in?  the electric connection is OK only the small connector 5 pins for the usb connection that is on the motherboard hangs inside the case, I might refer to "The Computer Chicks", but tha would be cos on another $ 100.00 of service and shipping costs, and if I knew where on the motherboard, it will I could plug it in me.  Thank you if you could send me a picture or a motherboard layout where it happens I would be very grateful.

Check this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01421635

Normally, this Pocket drive USB headers are connected to the motherboard via the 'F_USB1' or "F_USB2" but I see a different type of USB plug labeled "F_USB3' through 'F_USB6', so it can use one of these check the plug to check the connection type

BTW: Scroll to the tab layout of motherboard on the linked page and click on it to see where the plugs are on the photo page layout I'm talking about.

I have a 250 GB drive at 5400 RPM Hitachi which works very well in the Bay. With the help of a USB drive Bay I can delete the volume and rebuild the drive of 500 GB. Why do I have a problem with this drive in the drive Bay?

  • Pocket drive Bay installation media.

We have a HP Pavillion A6710T a 32 bit with a HP Pocket Media drive Bay OS installed Windows Vista.  We decided to upgrade to a HP Pavilion HPE H8 - 1360T running on a Windows 7, 64-bit OS, the drive Bay can be transferred from the old system to the new, or will we just use the USB cable?

Answered my own question.  After tearing apart the two computers, it seems, Bay Pocket Media Player can be moved from one system to the other.  However space is tight and would bring down the new system further than just an exchange of normal PCI card.  Much easier to just leave it alone and use the USB cable provided with the PMD.

  • Will there be a second drive bay in HP Pavilion 17-f072no?

I bought a HP Pavilion 17-f072no and I was going to add an SSD in it like and add to the HARD drive, but I found it has a solid base, while my previous pavilions and Envys have trapdoors separated for drive bays.

Before removing the base plate, I would check this model has a second HARD drive Bay?

  • Replace the HHD Pavilion m7 with SSD boot drive

I have a Samsung 840 Evo SSD that I managed to install in the 2nd internal drive Bay. It works great as a second internal drive, but I want to make the boot drive for Windows 8.1 or simply swap with the internal HD, which is the current startup disk.

I used the program Samsung disk magician to clone the internal HD to the SSD, but it does not appear in the BIOS, so I can't select it as your startup disk. I tried to boot from the SSD with the internal HD disconnected and it fails, apparently because the laptop does not see the operating system on it.

I updated the BIOS to F.29, which is the current version, but the SSD simply does not appear in the BIOS.

    Any help is most appreciated!

  • I installed an external USB connected hard drive Seagate, it slowed the computer and check the new disc repeatedly

    Hello

I installed an external USB connected hard drive Seagate to copy some movies and pictures of my HP laptop with Vista, but it became a big problem. It slowed the computer and check the new disc repeatedly. Then it wouldn't start without the external drive at all but it was working fine once he was conducting with the external hard drive. So thinking I can outsmart the computer, I uninstalled the drive from Control Panel. Now it primer not at all. The computer lights up briefly and then goes out of itself almost immediately, is there a solution to this? Thank you

    Original title: startup problem

    Hi SomBhattacharya,

Please try the possible fix following first thanks to Carey Frisch:

    1. open the BIOS of the motherboard.
    2. find where it says Priority Boot Device, then select CD/DVD-ROM 1, 2nd Hard Drive and disable all the rest.
3 find somewhere in the BIOS where it says BOOT USB, Wake on USB, etc. and disable all unnecessary options.

And second if it does not help, you can try the following with Blue Michael:

Local Geek Squad had me intentionally set the BIOS to the correct order, then re-order and SAVE.
It worked, even if the list of the BIOS was always in the right order.

    I hope this helps!

  • Connecting floppy drive USB - name file empty

A friend of mine has just started using VMWare Fusion to run a virtual machine from Windows XP.  She has a player from USB floppy that she tried to connect to XP using 'Virtual Machine-> USB-> Connect floppy drive', but he tells her that she cannot have an empty file name.

I looked at the manual and it talks about the connection to a floppy image file, but nothing about the use of a USB floppy drive.

Is there something special that needs to be done to use a USB floppy drive?

I don't have a floppy drive on my Mac, so I can't test anything myself.

    Thank you

She has a floppy drive USB that it tried to connect to XP using "Virtual Machine-> USB-> Connect floppy drive", but he told her that she cannot have an empty file name.

On my Mac, I can connect a USB floppy drive to a virtual machine if there a disk in there.  Also, the error message 'cannot have an empty file name' is bound using a virtual floppy not a USB floppy.

Is there something special that needs to be done to use a USB floppy drive?

No connection a USB floppy is no different then any other USB device to connect to a virtual machine.

The only downside is you can not boot a Virtual Machine directly from a USB floppy and the simplest solution is to use a virtual floppy drive.

For the HP ENVY 17 - k000 Notebook PC model, there is No second Bay of disc - hard

Your model is customized model ("17 t-k000 CTO") this series of basic model, it will not be a secondary HARD drive Bay.

To confirm, you will need to open & see-

To get into the HARD drive, you have to-remove the battery, the optical drive, rear corner covers, hood & USB card.

Contact HP for more details about your specific model.

  • Pavilion 500-098: adding hard drive, but no 2nd hard drive Bay

I want to add a second internal hard drive to this computer, but unfortunately the computer has only a hard drive Bay. There is plenty of space for a second hard drive, I thought that I would put the player in the unused space, setting in place somehow so that it does not move. I know I could install an external hard drive, but prefer to have an internal hard drive. The power supply has a supplement of power supply (unused) harddrive.  The motherboard is a Joshua-H61-Μatx. It has 4 SATA connections on it.  SATA0 is connected to the hard drive, SATA2 is connected to the DVD player. SATA1 and SATA3 are free. My idea of adding a second hard drive without a second HDD Bay would work?

Check with the manufacturer of your system's support and their forums (if any).

Have you checked on the website of the manufacturer of the device for the latest drivers?

  • Initialization of the NAS 200 without internal drives?

You just bought a NAS 200. Do not have the SATA disks to put in it right now, wait until I can pick up of large capacity disks. Having several external USB drives that I would use. I was wondering if the NAS200 may start without having to install the internal disks. Then I can use it as a bridge of network connection to my external usb drives. Just wondering if you can get it even start without at least 1 Reader installed.

    Thanks for any help

Well, it plugged in, it starts, and it starts fine. Once I plugged a USB at the back once it was connected to my network. All I had to do was to format in FAT32 NTFS and it works fine. Even updated the firmware using the integrated very well. Overall pretty happy, I can use my external drives until I get some internal parts SATA for the NAS.
