Hi ive boaght a new laptop and im trying to connect my wireless printer but its request for a security key he never asked me for 1 on my old laptop

Printer model number?  She asked the security key is your routers password SSID for a wireless connection.  This information is in your router that only you have access to.  Under the wireless tab, you should find your SSID, and then the password.  Consult the manual of your itinerary.

  • DeskJet 6940: ethernet connection between the new modem and printer does not transmit Mac

I just installed a new modem to Qwest; It works wirelessly with my iMac 10.11. My old (but functional until yesterday) Deskjet 6940 is connected to the modem via Ethernet. When I try to print, the document seems to be transmitted to the printer, but then it hangs on and I get the message "the printer is not connected" - which it is, plugged, ethernetted, and set in motion. Support of Qwest says that only 10% of the info from the computer are the printer, but he seems to think that the part of the new modem Ethernet is functional,

I have already tried all unplug/restart/send/add printer new check/updates / IP (cannot connect) / ethernet ports and cables, etc.

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi @newgranny,

Thanks for getting back to me.

It is good that the printer has been able to print a diagnostic page.

Ensure that the router and firewall on the market do not block these ports.

Follow these steps to reset the printer to factory default settings:

    1. check that the printer is on.

    2. press and hold down the button to report Page.

3 while holding down three times the homepage button, press the Cancel button.

    4. release the report Page button.

    • Restart the printer.
    • Connect the ethernet cable.
    • What were the results?

If the problem persists, try the USB connection.

  • LaserJet 4050: Laserjet 4050 connecting to the new computer

I just finished setting to the top of my new desktop computer (Maj MainGear - very nice!).  I started to connect my LaserJet 4050 via its cable parallel (IEEE-1284) to see that my new computer does not seem to have this port.  She seems to have only USB ports.  Any suggestions?   Is there a parallel to USB adapter?

Yes, there is such an adapter but your biggest problem will be drivers for the printer work with current versions of Windows. Computers have no parallel ports for quite a while. This is the cable of the adapter that I used with my Laserjet 4050:

You must use the "Universal" printer driver and it strips away any sort of advanced features, but don't let not the printer works at a basic level:

  • Libretto U100 - Bluetooth to connect with the new Samsung mobile

Just bought 2 new machines: GSM Libretto U100, Samsung E720 Bluetooth equipped both. Uploaded everything first the last battery BT (3.2) using the wizard, my phone has been detected correctly and the first time that he asked a key access code, which i left blank. The second time I tried to connect, he asked no more code. The following screens will appear:
    1. the search for BT - Samsung E720 device detected!
    2. now connect to your BT device
    3. the local device connects to the remote service, please wait...
And now, you can wait for hours because the program has stopped responding.
My mobile has been configured for detectable and BT has been activated.
I read the manual of the phone, but these are the only parameters of BT. The other way around, when I leave my phone to a BT device research, he found nothing.

Thank you very much for making my two toys to talk to eachother!
    Ben.

    Hi Ben

It's not easy to tell what the problem is but as far as I know, you must set the password for pairing.
I recommend you to remove the mobile phone the Bluetooth Manager and re - install the mobile phone settings.
Try to set the password for pairing. In addition, see the following steps:

    1. check if the laptop antenna switch is on.
    2. press the + - key combination to activate the Bluetooth antenna.
If your laptop is integrated WLAN and Bluetooth.
3 start the Bluetooth of the TOSHIBA-> folder settings program Bluetooth to turn on the Bluetooth module. Bluetooth works if you see a blue antenna with a bright blue border of the bar on your screen. Also a blue antenna icon with the name Bluetooth information interchange will appear on the desktop.
    4. check that your Bluetooth hardware is properly installed.

    Good bye

  • OfficeJet 8610: Wireless direct connection of the laptop computer with printer

Could not establish connection direct wirreless BOF Macbook Air on printer. Have no router.

    Hi @bjbhp,
  • OfficeJet 6600 e-all-in-one: Wireless connectivity with the new router problem

We had the printer since 12 months, workin with no problems.

Just got a new modem/router (NETGEAR V7610) installed as part of the NBN implementation and I can't get the printer to connect to the new router. 5 and 2.4 G active networks. The two defined newtorks on security WPA2-PSK [AES].

The printer detects the wireless (2. 4 g) network, but can't coplete the connection. Tried the two direct input the network key and using WMA.

-The display panel shows "wireless invalid password (WPA) is entered.

-The results of network printer test page indicates a FAILURE on safety.

I was able to connect to multiple other devices (laptop, iphone, Kindle...) without any problem. Used the two direct entry of the key network and WMA.

    Anything else I can try?

Find a new update of the firmware for the printer (May 9, 2016).

After you apply the update, the printer is able to connect to the new modem.

  • Problem connecting to the new router

When we all first our WVC54GC Setup was quick and easy, and we used it without event for 1-2 years. Now, we have replaced our old router with a WRT610N. Everything else, wired and wireless, connected to the new network without event after I have updated their SSID settings and security. (A new uses WPA - WP2, the an old WEP) but for this camera I can not to do. I read the articles on this page and plugged all the correct settings, but it still won't talk of it in wireless mode. (With a cable that is no problem). What I'm missing here?

You must be identical on both devices wireless settings to establish communication between your router and the camera... Ensure that your camera settings Wireless 2.4 GHz of your router... Try Basic WEP security and see if that works, if WEP works you can change security to WPA... Once you have set matching the wireless settings, unplug the cable ethernet and power cycle the two devices and see if you can see your wireless camera...

I'm considering buying a computer with Windows 7.  Is there a driver for my Canon Multipass F50 printer?  I have Office Professional for XP - can I load office software on the new computer with Windows 7?

Page drivers Canon MultiPASS F50 & the downloads shows nothing for Windows 7 (or even for Vista), so I doubt that it works.

Microsoft Office XP is not compatible with Windows 7.  Office 2003 and Office 2007 are.

Yes, don't worry if you migrate to the same operating system (Mac or Win).

    Catalogue conversion works well.

If you plan to migrate to another computer, you need to transfer your image files as your catalogs, which means that you can use the backup and restore method:

Organizing moving items catalogue | Elements 6 or later version

When you use this method, the restore process recognizes if the database version is the same. If it is newer, it invites you to convert the catalog after the restoration.

To transfer the software elements itself, you will need to:

-Use the Help menu > disconnect deactivate your license from the old computer

    -Reinstall the software

-use the same menu to sign with your product license key.

  • can I use my wireless printer if it is connected to the main computer with the USB cable?

My main computer runs XP Professional and is not wireless capable (that I know), my laptop running Windows 7 is wifi enabled, it can independently connect to the internet and printer (Photosmart 5510) is wifi capable but that is currently connected to the main computer with a USB cable.

My question: can I use the printer to the host computer by USB and computer laptop through wireless?  If yes how to configure connections? Thank you.

    Hello

A small wifi Wireless USB on the XP machine should work just fine. You can OpenOffice.org printer to two computers wireless. I don't think that a machine can access the printer if you plan to use the USB connection or wireless. I have not tried yet, maybe next weekend.

    Kind regards

Installed Photoshop CS6 on the new computer and now when I Zoom in on an image window is too wide and too short.

Click window > arrange > consolidate all to tabs.

Once this is done, try and open the new image and see if it helps.

  • Problem: Editing and original photos transferred from the old to the new computer

Today, I installed Photoshop elements 13 on my new computer. He had previously installed on my old computer.  On my old computer I could see my photos modified 42000.  On the new computer, I see now more than 85000 pictures.  I have my edited each image and the original unedited version.  Is there an easy way to remove the photos so that I'm alone with my modified photos?  This has happened once before when I got a new computer and I deleted the unseen photos, one at a time (there were only 5000 photos at the time).  Help please.  It will take me an eternity to eliminate more than 40000 photos one at a time.  PS I'm almost 70 years old and not very computer.

    Number of questions:

How to transfer your files, photos and catalog to the new computer? I suppose that use you the recommended backup / restore process:

Displacement of Adobe elements Organizer catalog by using the backup and restore | Photoshop and first Elements 6 or later version

You see 85000 files count in the organizer or in your browser (explore / finder)?

I also assume that your modified photos appear in 'version sets' in the Organizer?

If so, there is a faster way to keep only the edited version.
