• Why do I get connection timeout errors when downloading FTP when internet does not work?

  I tried to update my site for a few days now, but I get the same errors. I'm not a particular web-savvy person, but the first time that I transferred my site after I built it I don't remember all such problems.

If it has something to do with 'Folder on the server' box maybe someone can enlighten me on what should be there. I wondered if take down the Web site and starting over, download it again, could work because she has no problems, the first time that I put it to the top of back in June, but I am currently applying to places and I want that my portfolio upward where potential employers are looking.

• ORA 12170: Connection timeout error: need help

  The scenario is this: I have Oracle 11 g R2 installed on a server to Windows Server 2008 (32-bit). The database SID is "PGM". I am access (or want to access remotely to) the Oracle database in Visual Studio 2008 (customer environment) development environment running on a Windows XP (SP3) platform. I have already installed the package of the ODAC (ver. 11.2.0.2.1) for the Visual Studio environment.
  
  I created a sample Windows Forms application that uses the Oracle data access components. The example of HR schema in the Oracle database is already unlocked. This is the pattern that I use in the application.
  
  The issue that I am facing is that when I add the data connection in the Visual Studio environment. Feature "Test connection" returns the following error: ORA-12170 ... Connection has expired.
  
  I checked the TNSNAMES file. File of the ORA and everything is as listed in the Oracle documentation. It's as follows:

  Try adding a PGE in the SID_LIST_LISTENER of the listener.ora file and that you can do using the Net Manager and its operation is explained here

  Before you start to look at this problem, I wonder if you are aware of all possibilities about the methods that applications can connect?  I recommend you to consider at least these two things:

  If this is all familiar, then you have to determine what method you will use to connect.  Assuming you are trying to develop on OS 5.0 and above then you could use the ConnectionFactory or develop your own method to choose the connection.  Both work very well, but there are a number of Threads that talk about problems of connection with these.  I recommend you search around to find tips, you should find everything you need already in discussions in the forum.  .

  The application that I use on my laptop constantly gives me an error ORA-12170: TNS connect timeout...
  
  The following steps have been taken during the installation of the client software...

  1. factory reference download and install
  2 tries to connect to the database on the server machine, but regarldess oracle which has been entered I got a windows error saying not found Oci.dll
  3. I downloaded the zip of Oracle Instant client for 32-bit windows
  4 extract the instant client download files in the bin folder of the reference plant. (this fixes the error not found oci.dll)
  5. When you are using a direct connection, I specified the following details:

  Password: my password of linux
  Host: 192.168.1.9
  Port: 1521
  SID: orcl
  connect as: sysdba
  connect using: Instant customer (it was the only option in a drop down)

  I have several users using smartview against Essbase, both are V11.1.1.2. They frequently experience connection timeout errors when you try to retrieve reports. WE tried to increase the NetTimeout and the NetDelay on the Essbase server and an increase of agentthreads and a few other parameters configuration of Essbase. SmartView has been configured to allow up to 20000 lines, although these queries return no more than a few hundred lines of data. Session time is set to 60 minutes. This implementation uses Websphere. Can someone suggest setting changes to stop this error from happening? Matt? Mike?

• VISA READ timeout error - several GPIB resources

  I'm working on a network 3 GPIB instruments (Optical Attenuator, amplifier in fiber, spectrum analyser), controlled using VISA sessions in Labview. When it is run separately, the three corresponding screws (which are located in three different Labview projects) works as expected. However, when they ran at the same time, one gives them timeout-1073807339 VISA READ errors. These errors seem to occur when another instrument is sending / receiving data / instructions at the same time that she is.

  The exact context of the error is either:

  -an another VI is running, which includes sending several requests and responses every 100 ms, reading

  -by failing VI starts, I get an error of waiting time among the first Subvi containing a VISA READ operation to perform (sometimes initialize.vi (in situation 1), sometimes one of the subVIs connected the rest State (State 0) on the time-out of the structure of the event).

  or:

  -the default VI is running,

  -by starting another VI, which includes repeatedly sending requests and reading the responses, the failing VI up a mistake among the first Subvi containing a VISA READ operation to run (one of the subVIs linked the State of rest (0) on the time-out of the structure of the event).

  What I tried:

  -gradually increasing the delay between the VISA WRITE and READ operations to the relevant instrument (from 10 ms to 10 s), without success. More surprising are my observations which, by operating this single VI, increasing WRITE it / READ delay results in the same timeout errors. I have found no mention of such behavior through research google and forum. I hope that this may point to a solution to the main issue,

  -switching between synchronous and asynchronous VISA WRITE / READ operations.

  -reorganization of the network GPIB to a star to a linear topology topology (three instruments have different GPIB addresses in case anyone is wondering).

  My thoughts:

  It seems to me that the error is related to a delay introduced between a VISA request and its read operation by the transmission of another query associated another instrument in the same network GPIB. But I have no idea why pass a query to another instrument would introduce such a delay, or why this delay would result in a timeout error (and only an instrument, while writing / reading in each pilot screws are basically the same). Hopefully a more experienced Labview-er will be able to shed some light on my problem.

  Included is the project that contains the default VI (main.vi) and the driver custom made use of.

  There are a number of ways. If you want to keep separate projects for instruments, you can use semaphores often slandered around calls for screws in each project. Locking is not expected or predictable, but it would give controlled access to the GPIB resource.

  I deployed a simple asp.net application in a sharepoint wfe Server

  Client 32-bit installed oracle 12

  32-bit Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC)
  with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio

  bit alias 32 and 54 sql set up in all the sharepoit servers to connect to sql server

  SharePoint farm works very well

  ASP.net application to connect to sql server and oracle dbs to get and display the data

  in iis, asp.net application compatible 32-bit and executed under asp.net version 4.0

  When I connect to sql server and a data base of data it displays error below

  I have a strange problem with users receiving the Smart View Timeout error.  In a connection planning, executing business rules, some users automatically receive a message "request timed" out with instructions to "extend the parameters of «ReceiveTimeout, KeepAliveTimeout and ServerInfoTimeout.»»

  I studied this problem online for a solution and has confirmed that the following Windows registry settings are at stake:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings

  KeepAliveTimeout 720000

  ReceiveTimeout 720000

  ServerInfoTimeout 720000

  Note that these settings are not present in:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings

  720000 = 12 minutes.  However, users get this message to approx. 30 seconds in the rule.

  I have the same registry settings on my computer, running the same business through the same connection of planning rules, and yet I don't receive time-out errors.

  Am I missing a setting somewhere?  Time-out settings must be in HKEY_CURRENT_USER instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE?

  Yes. These parameters must be created in the registry "HKEY_CURRENT_USER". That fixed the problem for me when I fell on the same subject.

  I just installed Oracle on mu Ubuntu 12.4 following the instructions here:

  However, when I try to log on to the database, I created during installation using sqlplus, it hangs for a minute or two until it-error:

  The error was taken neat but thanks for the reply. The quick fix is to disable the firewall.

  I do a few patches manually on ESX 4.0 host.  I forgot to get into maintenance mode, tried to patch and had an error on entering maintenance mode.  So I tried to get into the mode of maintenance with the following command:

  vimsh - n hostsvc/e/maintenance_mode_enter

  I get these messages:

  Current working directory: / root

  vmaCore: initSSL: make versionCheck = true

  handshake Timeout = 20000000

  Unable to connect: 514 error to connect to the instance of the service host-vmds

  Someone has ideas of what happens and how to solve?

  Problem - I am using TOAD on my computer to connect to my database, but gives the error "Ora-12170, Connection Timeout".
  
  Explanation - I installed Oracle InstantClient 10.2 on the local computer and using this default home home to connect to the target instance.
  Here, the thing is, I can't able to PING to the UNIX machine but cannot able to establish the database connection.
  Made the WAY system LNS_LANG variables...
  Created TNSNAME. ORA in instantClient with appropriate entries.

  oracle client is not installed on your local computer?

  Try this

• Stop the connection timeouts occur - want the page wait

  I run several tab that monitor various tools. These pages will refresh. Pages must wait each other finish before you can start.

  In version 28 it was beautiful. The page just wait indefinitely and kicked in a previous page after doing its thing.

  Now in version 29 he comes back with a message "connection timed out" after a few minutes.

  Try setting the http.response.timeout parameter. In the version 28, it had not been established. Version 29, it is located at 300 (5 minutes). Should help to move on to something much larger.
