  I looked for information on this subject, but have not seem to found a solution.

  I'm developing a Smartphone application that needs to connect to a server to retrieve data. Then I use a direct connection with the correct settings (I hope):

  URL = "url of the server" + "deviceside:true" + "AFN:...» »

  The problem is that the connection should be done without Hardcoding the "apn". These are the tests I've done so far (assuming I'm always add the ' deviceside: true ' parameter):

  URL (logical name) + AFN OK!
  FAILURE of the URL (logical name)
  URL (static IP) OK!

  * by logical name, I mean a url as www.google.com

  What I need is to use the logical name, without the parameter apn!  Maybe I'm missing another parameter that I don't know?

  Some additional info that might be useful! :

  -The server is a server of Vodafone, which, as has been explained to me, should be on the list of white of the RIM (not sure what that means, but I guess it has to do with the fact that BB connection through the RIM at one point servers, and be in this list gives a sort of 'privilege' when you browse servers of RIM) , and I don't know it is publicly accessible as (see following)

  -An android version of the application works fine without Hardcoding the AFN and using the logical name (I guess it has to do with the RIM servers!)

  Any help or ideas towards the solution that it is greatly appreciated!  If I'm missing some info that you think I should add! Please tell me!

  I could solve it by looking at the code of the alternative of the Api network in the link sent you me!

  The solution was the addition of the ConnectionUID parameter to the url String!  as to why this solves the problem I still don't understand it! (If you can enlighten me with the reason, I would be very grateful)

• Error connecting to the server by using the Client VMware vCenter

  When you attempt to connect to vCenter server using vSphere client, I get this message:

  "a general error has occurred: authorize the exception."

  However, if I log on the vCenter server locally and use a local Windows account in vSphere Client to connect to vCenter Server on the same computer - it works OK.

  There is obviously a problem with what happens when you use active directory to authenticate a user who connects with the VMware vCenter server client.

  Someone has seen this before or have any ideas?

  I have install a single view connection server and office pool and I can connect to the pool very much using the customer view pointing to the login server.

  I recently added a second login server replica and if I try to connect via the customer view succesfully authenticates, allows me to choose a pool, but errors and then with "the connection to the remote computer has ended."

  Look at newspapers in firewall, can I see traffic blocked from my desktop PC (where the client to view runs) to the IP address of the VM on the port office 4172. Of course, I can open this port, but I do not understand why this should be necessary when using the first server likely traffic goes through the connection to the server, not directly to the customer. The behavior looks different during the passage through the replica, but I don't see why this would be the case?

  You can enable/disable tunneling with a broker for connections setting.  Maybe the second broker (replica) does not make any tunnel and trying instead to go directly through your PC.

  You could, but internal users would cross the bridge PCOIP.   I' always found lve easier just have a broker for external users.

  The role of the Security Server is to protect exposure of desktop to the Internet. It provides a monitoring of protocols of the Internet (for example PCoIP) so make it succeed to check if the traffic is in the name of an authenticated user, and to ensure that if it is valid, it is transmitted over an office whose user is authorized to access. It is important to configure your internal firewall so that Office (PCoIP etc.) protocols can come only security servers. Then you give the required insurance. If such packets only packets UDP PCoIP arrive in your DMZ that are not on behalf of an authenticated user and then they are ignored in the DMZ without ever be passed in your data center. You know that all protocols for virtual desktops have been validated by the Security server.

  The Security server should also communicate with the login server and that's why you should also allow JMS, AJP13, and IPsec through. These should be only to the servers again only from servers to security and connection.

  You can always route the PCoIP packages through a proxy in your data center, but the security required inspection happens before that the Security Server so that eventually they can be thrown into the demilitarized zone.

  If there are problems with the update then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.

  Finally I found the solution to the problem...

  I used ConnectionFactory (network API) to connect to the TCP server and the used connection string is just

  'socket://127.0.0.1:8089 '.

  No need to specify the APN, user name, and password.

  Here's the code used

  Unless I misread this article , it should be possible.

  It is true that step ' not is not particularly clear, but I'm assuming they meant put the content of all unzipped in a folder called 'portal' on the folder root of IIS (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\portal\). In any case I tried this and create a virtual directory in IIS called 'portal' with the wwwroot files, all two complain that there is no such thing as MainUI.html (and it's not! Learners, I can't find this file on a connection or Security Server - which leads me to believe it is generated by one of the .json files)

  Anyone could pull this off? Any suggestions as to where I have gone wrong?

  You can do this by locating the file portal.war on the login server and copy it to the virtual desktop running VADC in view. The procedure is on page 18 of the VADC Administrator's Guide.

  We will make this procedure easier by allowing this portal.war file be downloadable via VMware-Horizon-View-HTML-Access-y.y.y-xxxxxx.zip instead of first needing to install a connection to the server, but for now just copy the file portal.war and unzip it.

  It certainly works. Have two security servers, each associated with a connection to the server (for example a standard and the other a replica) is a very common scenario.

  Double check the rules in your firewall if you have an external firewall between your security servers and connection. Check for the setting procedure Administrator's guide matching password etc and for matching Security Server Troubleshooting section.  Make sure that the two security servers are configured the same (no group political advertising strategies of firewall different, firewalls running on all servers etc..). Make sure that the two connection servers are configured the same.
