Error connecting to the server by using the Client VMware vCenter

When you attempt to connect to vCenter server using vSphere client, I get this message:

"a general error has occurred: authorize the exception."

However, if I log on the vCenter server locally and use a local Windows account in vSphere Client to connect to vCenter Server on the same computer - it works OK.

There is obviously a problem with what happens when you use active directory to authenticate a user who connects with the VMware vCenter server client.

Someone has seen this before or have any ideas?

Thank you

I had a similar problem on two different sites

  1. It was my firewall local windows on my Windows 7 desktop that it has prevented from work
  2. Another situation was DNS was not working properly and once I had a static entry, it worked

    Hi all! It's my first time using JDBC, and I followed some examples online to establish a test to my internal DB SQL Server Express connection. Here's the Basic code that I use (with security identification information redacted, of course):

        Connection conn = null;

        try {
            Class.forName("net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver");

    I get this error after 20 seconds: "network error IOException: Connection timed out: connect. I understand this is usually caused by a bad port, username or password, but I can connect using the exact same credentials via SQL Management Studio Express. I tried to insert port number: 1433 after the name of the server and the name of the comic, but no joy. Can someone tell me what is the 'official' syntax, or how I would go about solving this problem? Thanks in advance.

    I get this error after 20 seconds: "network error IOException: Connection timed out: connect. I understand that this is usually caused by a bad port, user name or password.

    Fairly certain that most of the last part of this is incorrect since your instance information.

    If you connect to a server using what anyone, even remotely, as a true lan so if the server is not listening you will get an immediate connection error - saying something to the topic "connection refused." And if your creds user do not match you will get a different error.

    A timeout after 20 seconds means that the network request is not being served at all, by the other other end.

    And that suggests a firewall problem.

    A simple test is the following
    -Log in as the same user that the application is running as. If you are working on the app, it's you. Is there a sort of JEE or service/cron, then it is very likely that you.
    -Open a console window.
    -Use telnet to connect using EXACTLY the same hostname and port that you expect. An example

    Telnet 1433 WINSERVER

    If telnet is successful it will give you a white screen (or something similar). Failure will give an error.

    The above process verifies that your box and the credentials of the user of the process (no connection) can successfully access the db box. Until it works your java code is not.

    Common default for SQL Server ports 1433 and 1434. It can be configured to use anything else.

    Hi Vinayak,

    If forms work in the local network, then you can exclude problem in Forms Server or Oracle Application as a whole actually.

    The question should be certain access privileges, and you will need to work with the VPN administrator.

    Please note:

    Cannot launch the forms in E-Business when you access via VPN: Formslauncher Notinited (Doc ID 471120.1)

    Hope that answers your question.

    Update: [solved]

    Although everything else about my internet connection worked perfectly well, I suspected that maybe this question was related to the other oddities that I experience with my Comcast DOCSIS modem. I restarted the modem and without timeouts more in Thunderbird. Again, I didn't have no other question similar with connectivity, but my IMAP authentication uses port 993, and there was something stuck on the subject through my connection. Maybe this info will help some people to solve the problems they are the way out of this problem.

  • Error connecting to the server of the hostops.pl script

    Hi all,

    I have a server esxi 4 a vMA VM.

    I'm trying to stop with a hostops.pl script host

    I use this syntax:

    hostops.pl - host FQDN - operation

    I insert the user name and password, but the script returns this error:

    Error to connect to the server " " https://localhost/sdk/webService': Connection refused

    I also tried with the following syntax:

    hostops.pl - host FQDN - url https://FQDN/SDK/WebService -shut down - host_username root - host_password password, but the script returns this error:

    Cannot complete the connection due to an incorrect username or password (the user name and the password are certainly correct)

    Why?

    Thank you

    vifpinit will work If you added in fact a target in the fastpass of vMA management system. To do this, you will need to use vifp, please refer to the documentation of vMA for more information. About your hostops.pl syntax, you must use - server, as you can see from the error you specify the wrong indicator and is thinking that you are trying to connect to "localhost" , which is probably not where your server ESX (i) is located at.

    Have you tried after restarting the JDev After unchecking this setting? Connect to the Weblogic administration console, go to the Middle--> servers, click the name of the Server Admin and check the value of the address of the listening and listening port setting. Use the same values when the connection to the application server connection in JDev. If listening address is empty then either use localhost, or the host name or IP address of the machine.

    I guess that your listener.ora always has a section of SID and you did not copy paste... Then please post the entire file

    Please open a command line window and do:
    C:\oracle\ora9I\bin\hsodbc
    After all output including the call.

    When the listener above is still correct, the cause would be that you have 2 SID with the same name in your listener.ora:
    SID_LIST_ODBC1 =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = ODBC1)
    (ORACLE_HOME = C:\oracle\ora9I)
    (PROGRAM = hsodbc)
    )
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = ODBC1)
    (ORACLE_HOME = C:\oracle\ora9I)
    (SID_NAME = ODBC1)
    )
    )

    Please change to:
    SID_LIST_ODBC1 =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = ODBC1)
    (ORACLE_HOME = C:\oracle\ora9I)
    (PROGRAM = hsodbc)
    )
    )

    Once you change the listener, please stop and start the listener called odbc1: odbc1 stop lsnrctl and lsnrctl start odbc1

  • Access denied error connecting to the target RT

    Hello

    I use LV2009 on a desktop host and RT 9 on a target PXI.  I can connect to the target through the project with the original target embedded sw Explorer but cannot access the modules of IO MAX due to a driver version (DAQmx) inconsistancy between the host and the target.  When I install the DAQmx 9.3 drivers on the two systems that I can connect and access as the target I/O via MAX modules but cannot connect to the target through the Project Explorer.  I gives me an IP address in the host not to mistake of authorized access list, even if I've added to the list of users under properties of the target. Something in the DAQmx update is complete my ability to connect through the Project Explorer.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hi DDockery,

    Our objectives of RT keep record of system information in a file named nor - rt.ini

    We do not suggest edit our files nor - rt.ini if you are not similar with them.

    Important lines in the ni - rt.ini follow the lines:
    Server.TCP.Access = "' + * '"
    RTTarget.IPAccess = "' + * '"

    '+' * means that each IP address can access

    If you have any more specific questions or unconfortable editing the .ini file please contact Supportm technique of NOR, create a Service request and an Applications engineer can help out you.

  • Error connecting to the headphones. Try this operation again.

    Hello

    I currently get the error in the title when you are trying to connect to my wireless headset. "Setup Bluetooth Services" comes when I press on connect, and about 30 seconds later, the error appears.
    The device is a Laser AO-BTHD and I use a USB of Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth adapter 4.0 to activate my Windows 7 x 64 to connect to Bluetooth devices. The Broadcom device uses the most up to date driver I can find (6.5.1.2501) and it still does not.
    I do not understand why my PC is able to associate the device without any problem, but it cannot connect to the device and use it properly.
    The headset works fine with my iPhone and my PC can connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    Thanks for joining us again.

    Method 1: I suggest you to connect the headphones even to the other computer and see if that helps.

    Method 2: I suggest to update the drivers for the headset and Bluetooth drivers from the manufacturers Web site.

    I hope this helps!
