Connectivity to wide band

I have BT as my ISP to wide band and, due to the location of my Pc, to do a wireless connection to access the hub into several rooms by far.   The signal strength is rarely better than "just".   My connector adapter is a part of the NET gear.   The problem is that connection keeps falling out (he took 10 attempts to get this message for you).   I go to the Internet access icon in the task bar and click on "Solve problems" which usually results in a reset of the network connector adapter.   So this message for you.   Unfortunately this reconnection rarely last long.   Is the Netgear of BT Broadband cupply problem or what else can I do to improve the situation?   Heeelllpppp!

Hello

According to the internal structure of the House between your PC and the hub, you can very well have permanent restrictions to get a reliable signal. There are solutions to these types of situations. Try your PC upwards near the QUATIERS and see if you still have any questions.

    Hello

I just purchased & installed the router on my computer (Vista).  After you follow the installation instructions provided via the installation disc, I have problems with my computer main cable connection.  Whenever I turn on the computer, the router and the modem, I have no internet access.  The only way I am able to fix is to use the tab repair the connection on the Linksys Easylink Advisor.  After his diagnosis, that I am then able to connect.  I hope I have so not to turn off the router/modem I can switch the computer off and then on again as often as I want to and will always have access to the internet.  However if I then power off all three, i.e. computer, router & modem I lose connection and must go through the procedure of connection to repair again.  This happens every time.  I completely uninstalled my anti-virus (mcAfee), but this makes no difference.  I also, if I bypass the router to connect the computer directly to the modem cable compatible internet connection via ethernet cable.  So I guess that the problem must lie with the settings of the router.  Have also tried the router/modem with another computer (XP) with the same results.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • Qosmio G40 - 10F: how conenct to the wide band of sky LAN

I don't know anything about computers.
I buy the G40 - 10F and get sky to wide band and they say that you need a spare ethernet on the computer.

All I can find is RJ11 and RJ45 is the ethernet in a differnent name.
If I can't do a link to broadband this portable ill save my money.

    Hello

    Don't worry man.
Qosmio G40 supports all ports that are important in establishing the sky broadband.
The RJ45 is the Ethernet port; known as port Lan ;)

You can connect the modem to broadband from sky to this port using the LAN cable just ;)

  • Compaq CQ58 computer 301SA laptop does not connect to 50Ghz band on router

My laptop does not connect to the band 50Ghz on my router dual-band. I know that my router Netgear dual band diffuse 24 and 50 Ghz, but the laptop only shows the 24 Ghz band depending on availability.

I have a Compaq CQ58 301SA Notebook PC, Windows 8 (64 bit OS).  It has a Ralink RT5390R 802 11bgn network adapter and a Realtek ethernet network adapter. I use the laptop wireless, for example using the Ralink connection and it connects easily to the 24 GHz band, but I want to broadcast TV programs and movies smoothly, for which, I understand that the 50Ghz band is preferable. I pay my ISP (Virgin Media) for a connection to Super-fast broadband but my laptop seems to be limited to the 24 GHz band. Seems to be the case if I work with the adapter Ralink wireless or wired with Realtek ethernet connection.

This problem can be corrected? If so, how? What I have done research on the web, the problem seems to be network adapters. Can they work on the 50Ghz band? Or do I need to download another adapter (if so, which?) Or use an adapter external network I plug into a USB port?

    Driving me crazy...

    Hello:

The Ralink RT5390R 802 11bgn is a map of the only band (2.4 GHz) only.

Whenever you see a labeled bgn wireless card, it is a single band card.

Cards labeled dual band abgn or agn.

The maintenance manual (Chapter 3, page 19) does not indicate that any internal dual band card is supported, so you would probably have to go with an external usb dual wireless adapter.

  • On TV 40L7335D can't connect on WiDi

I have the Toshiba tv that comes with Intel Widi 40L7335D. I tried to connect my laptop Toshiba A660 satellite-190.

I got to the point where the TV is trying to get the IP and... That's all knowledge I get the message on the TV screen: 'Connected to Intel WiDi application' and then «I can't get the address network...» "In the meanwhile the Intel WiFi software tool I see that the TV has an IP address assigned, however, the process seems to be interrupted.

I tried to restart the laptop, restart the TV, disabled the firewall, the TV firmware upgrade (version: 7.1.90.34.01.1) and it did not help.

The version of the application on the laptop Intel Wireless Display: 1.2.20.00. Pretty old, but Toshiba is suply a newer.

I'm sure that card WiDi of this laptop works fine, because I can use it on the Netgear WiDi adapter without any problem using the same profile. Is there any problem or HW SW with the built-in TV WiDi adapter?
How I check it? Is there anything else that I should put on TV?
    Please advice.

    Hello

Intel WiDi software must be up-to-date.
Here you can check if the driver and software update would be necessary:
    http://www.Intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/wireless/wireless-display

Check Please also Intel WiDi Knowledge Base and troubleshooting page:
    http://supportkb.Intel.com/wireless/wireless-display/templates/selfservice/intelwidi/#Portal/1026/article/5858

By the way: I recommend you to check the [Manual 40L7335D | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/L7335-4050-English.pdf] page 46-47.

There you can check if network TV settings have been defined correctly.

  • Airport Time Capsule and change provider to wide band

I recently changed my broadband provider and need help with my Airport Time Capsule. I currently have backup via an ethernet cable wireless for Macbook Pro and iMac, Plug and connect every day (although I've never been certain that it's the right or even the simplest method.)

    (1) that I have to back my TC and, if so, should what steps I take?

    (2) should what changes I make on the iMac and Macbook Pro?

    (3) when I bought the TC on the local Apple Store, I was told there was a way in which I could have the TC located in another room of the House, connected wireless constantly and discreetly safeguard to avoid Plug and connect the cable manually each time.  I have sought confirmation of this but could not find any instructions.  Expert advice would be very welcome.

    Thank you very much.

If your router broadband main has changed, it is often necessary to reset the TC factory and redo the installation.

I don't know if your main router has been changed as well as the offshore service provider broadband, but if so, then, reset is necessary. Only if the TC was bridged it can be left to himself... so to speak.

    1. to answer this, I need to understand why your backup is not configured for continuous backup now.

    2. of course, it is difficult to answer this question without knowing 1. but I'm not sure why you are constantly plug and unplug the TC.

How the iMac's internet? It is connected by ethernet to the main ISP router and then you are exchanging autour cables because the TC is not configured in the network?

    Same thing with the MBP...

    3. what said you was not quite correct...

The TC, FAILED to connect on the main wireless router or the modem... it must use ethernet. However, ethernet can run in the next room in the House and can backup from there without problem... more wireless computers.

You can do wireless links by adding a second router wireless to apple... but makes it much more complicated but also less reliable. Wireless links are unreliable enough without adding a second.

The best configuration is the TC directly connected by short cord to the main modem or to the router provided by your ISP. Then tell me the make and model of this device.

If you were hoping for hitting the autonomous TC and connect wireless to the main router which is not going to happen. Apple makes their routers NOT interface with any other wireless brand.

Tell me how the iMac connects to internet and MBP as well.

  • Satellite Pro A300 - no Internet to wide band wireless

    Hello

I hope someone can help me. I have a TOSHIBA Satellite Pro A300 and the operating system Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 3.

I've had obviously my machine for a few years now and have never had any problems with it even though I used to always use an ethernet connection. Lately, but I moved to wireless broadband.

When I try to install or update some programs or even just access the internet through them they claim that there is no internet connection. Although Internet Explorer and Windows updates are all still works fine. These programs include Itunes Store, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Log-me-in Vital Source Bookshelf, Adobe/Acrobat Updaters. As you can imagine it is a proplem to access updates and creates a problem with my studies that I use for my class.

I tried other suggestions of forums such as the update of drivers, install all latest updaters for windows. However, I'm still stuck with the same exact problem.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

I have to say WLAN connection is friendly and never had any problems. You can go anywhere online without cable home, which really nice and easy.

But it strange that some features of Internet connection and other programs not

If you connect the cable all programs have access to the Internet or you have the same problem with the cable connection?

Maybe it's something wrong with the settings for the s WLAN card Check if you have set the correct TCP/IP parameters for WLAN card. Probably, you need a static IP address but who according to your router.

  • WRT1900AC is capable of 100 / 100 Mbit/s speed wide band?

I'm looking for a new router to connect to my cable modem.

In my research, I found the Linksys WRT1900AC. What I can't find in the specifications, is the flow.

Can someone tell me what I can I wait for a download speed of the Internet (debit) with normal use (with the security/firewall enabled) this router?

Yes, the 1900AC of Linksys WRT is capable. My speed from my ISP is 500 Mbps both up and down and I consistantly get these speeds via a LAN connection. My lan speed is usually between 500 to 522 download and upload of 500 to 590. Here is my speed test

  • Intermittent connections with the band of the 5 GHz on WRTAC1200.

It seems that I'm not the only person who has had problems with the connections on the WRTAC1200 wireless, but I was wondering if anyone here on the forums has found a solution for 5 GHz with the WRTAC1200 connection problems?

The only solution to find my speed and Wi - Fi is to reboot the router. This solution only works for about a day and then my speeds have completely disappeared until I have restart the router again.

I played a bit with the canals and the width of the channel, but nothing seems to solve daily problems occurring.

I've owned the router from July 2015, so I'm well past the return window. I hope, there is an update of the firmware to the corner or just got a router of lemon.

Linksys is aware of any problems with the WRTAC1200 model? Are there updates firmware out soon? Any help or new would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I'm using right now:

    Model: WRTAC1200

    Firmware: 1.0.4.167471

    The ISP speed: 100 Mbps

I give generally 15-20 feet with perhaps a wood everything in the meantime. Also depends what your HW connection is supported. Check with the Lim to see what modes and speeds based on 5 GHz.

I tend to test speed wired only as wireless has many variables that can give poor results and difficult to troubleshoot.

  • What SMB router support services to wide band to 60 Mbps download?

Hello, we are trying to determine on what router in the SMB line would support speeds above over the WAN?

The fact sheets provide info flow NAT, but I don't know if it's enough to make a decision.

RV180 series seems to offer another NAT flow in 800Mbps. Services that NAT is not necessary.

The RV042 also seems to be able to support this speed, but overall, it is not really clear if the RV will work or not.

    Help, please?

    Thank you!!

    Hello

"NAT flow" you see in the technical data is the data of the unit - NAT of 800mbps throughput will certainly support a 60 Mbps connection.  I would go with the RV180 on the 042 because of gigiabit ports, on 180. Is the RV042 router double wan, that the RV180 does not support dual wan. The flow of the RV042 nat is only 100 Mbit/s.  If you need dual wan, I would go with the RV042G which has a flow 800mbps and gigabit ports.

Just for reference, I've always found the comments on to very useful smallnetbuilder.com.

    Hope that helps.

    Best,

    David
