Constant unhandled exceptions of msvcrt.dll on a 64-bit Win 7 Ultimate

Yesterday morning I was see dozens of these errors pop up on my Win 7 64 bit box very new.

They block any program I am trying to run (Google Chrome, Google Desktop, anything with a toolbar Google and - frustrating - the features to install or remove anything.)  I thought maybe would it virus/spyware but my scans (with eset) have turned up nothing.  Try to install SpyBot causing the error again, so I was not able to run it. :(

I think it's a virus, but I read something somewhere tha seemed to suggest that it could just be a jerk Installer crushing a bad version of msvcrt.dll... But how to find the right version of msvcrt.dll to put back in place?

The failing application name: spybotsd162 [1] .tmp, version: 51.49.0.0, time stamp: 0x2a425e19

Name of the failed module: msvcrt.dll, version: 7.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bda6f

Exception code: 0xc0000409

Offset: 0x00028b8b

ID of the process failed: 0x100c

Start time of application vulnerabilities: 0x01cb351c43aba597

The failing application path: C:\Users\George\AppData\Local\Temp\is-HM86H.tmp\spybotsd162[1].tmp

Path of the failing module: C:\Windows\syswow64\msvcrt.dll

Report ID: 8c9ad2e3-a10f-11df-aa8a-463500000031

No idea how I could fix this?

Install 7-zip [1], run the tool and open the file install.wim from the DVD and extract the PeerDist.dll on the HARD drive. Now, the value of your account as the owner of the file and you give all the permissions. Now replace the old file broken with the DLL from the DVD.

OK, I finally managed to finish the installation of the software and the driver for the printer HP B9180 Photosmart Pro.

For the possible benefit of future readers with similar problems, here are the steps I followed to resolve what turned out be a sequence of three problems probably not related.

    1. as stated above, the installation first stopped early in the process, due to the presence of Internet Explorer IE8 Beta 2, which I uninstalled it, then reinstalled IE7.

    2. now install only stopped at half-way, an "unexpected error", no additional information, but, fortunately, the installation process has survived enough to back ('uninstall') all the measures taken until.  This new problerm was healed (I guess) by chance, because during this time, I decided to do a process long chkdsk C:/r/v, and I saw the check disk program spend quite a few while on a certain files, reports, quite a few errors. Probably uninstall it IE8 and repetition hangs the installer HP left of the junk on the hard drive.

    3. now Setup progressed all the way to a network printer search; There, the program "seen" the B9180 printer, but then "failed to install" the printer. This third issue is resolved through a search of HP site, where exactly the same problem with Vista 64, and the tenacious owner discovered a parameter minor of the ESET NOD32 antivirus ('disable HTTP checking'), who was apparently through the installation process in exactly in the same way that the mine - and his solution worked for me also.

Thanks to HP for setting up this forum of the community, and thanks to the previous problems whose kindness to make account of their problems and their solutions helped me solve mine.

  • application development Toolkit and Windows 7 64-bit - unhandled exception

Quite simple - I wanted to 'install' TypeDifer.exe as the tool of comparison for '.seq' files in perforce P4V visual client for I can browse and review the differences before check-ins, etc..

I installed the https://lumen.ni.com/nicif/us/nilabstypdiftst/content.xhtml toolkit - first by a double click, then by installing as an administrator with XP SP3 compatibility selected. The package is very good in both cases, but none of the Toolbox tools will run.

I've got VS2003, 2005, 2010 installed on this PC, and when I try to run TypeDiffer.exe, I get the JIT debugger breaking in with

An unhandled exception ('System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException') occurred in TypeDiffer.exe [71276].

Other tools all give much the same results. Did I miss something? There are a couple of DLLs with the EXE, do need to be placed elsewhere to ensure that they are seen, or perhaps they will have to be registered and by the installer under Win7 64 are not?

    Grateful for any input.

We will examine that. One thing I want to mention, is that if you are looking for a different general purpose and use TestStand 2010 or higher, you should probably use the delay comes with TestStand rather under:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\TestStand\FileDifferLauncher.exe

The typediffer is only for types differentiate, so it will only show you all the differences untyped in the file. The differ from 2010 can also diff type differences if you change the options to solve the conflicts of the type not automatically. Really, the only thing the delay comes with TestStand 2010 can not do that you may or may not is that he cannot merge changes from type (it may however merger without type changes and you can use it as a tool of fusion for these purposes with perforce).

    Hope this helps,

I tried to download a new course to my GPS. I received an error message about an unhandled exception. I am running windows 7 Professional, if that makes a difference on the message.

The GPS manufacturer said it's a problem with.NET Framework and suggested I uninstall and reinstall. I did but received the same exact error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the GPS software, without success.

Previous experience, I have disabled the firewall to see if it has been the cause of error. When defective, I even disabled my antivirus. He still has the same message. I reinstalled the software from the disc. It made no difference. I downloaded the software from the homepage, and it made no difference.

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  • Batman - Arkham City error Unhandled exception has occurred in your application.

original title: Please help. I'm desperate "Please see dxerror.log and directx.log.

    Hello

I was now all night and I'm out of ideas. I am at a total loss. This is the first time I was not able to solve a problem myself by searching online.

So, let's go. This all started when I installed "Batman - Arkham City" and tried to run for the first time.

An error dialog box pops up saying:

The problem is that I already have the latest version of DirectX. I play recent games like Skyrim smoothly. However, I tried to update my directX anyway. However, when I try and run the installation programs (for example, dxwebsetup), it is not getting anywhere because an error dialog box appears and says:

An internal system error has occurred.
Please refer to DXerror.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem.

Go of course tells me nothing, but I'll post it as the content of each word to say.

DirectX when opened in Notepad says: ' 13/12/11 04:32:32: infinst: WinMain(): ParseInfSection() failed. "

DXError said: [13/12/11 04:32:32] module: infinst (Jan 24 2007), file: infinst.cpp, line: 778, function: WinMain

    ParseInfSection() failed.

I can't go further than that. I am at a loss. Advice, help, suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried restoring the system to the closest point as possible, nothing helps. I tried to start the computer with nothing but windows programs and system services, nothing.

    Thank you for your time.

  • Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.

Hello, I have a user get the following error on a computer.  The computer uses windows 7, .net framework 4.5.1 and happens once the user has all its programmes of work to the top.  Programs include: as400 (3 sessions), teamviewer (background) IE, Outlook, Lync, pipkins, cisco any connection (user is a remote user) symantic endpoint protection and for sure.

I repaired and then reinstalled the .net framework, and the problem persists.  I also reinstalled teamviewer to see if it would not be on the exception text afterwords, but it has always been.  After the error occurs, the user will experience the gel in its various programs, usually in the as400, but not always and sometimes the entire computer freezes requiring a hard reboot. The only things I can think to the left to try are a reconstruction of profile (even though she has a new profile on the pc) or replacing and he places, which are particularly attractive if avoidable.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This behavior can occur if the JIT debugging is enabled or due to corrupted registry files.

Please refer to the suggestions of Shinmila H said on February 14, 2010 and check if it helps.
    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-windows_programs/JIT-debugging/36c33bc7-5071-4b9b-a689-d49e6191ece1

Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

    I hope this information helps.

    Hi, Ahmed.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand from the description of the issue that you are facing a problem with the application.

I appreciate if you could answer a few questions:

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?

    2. what application you are facing a problem?

    3. this problem occurs with all or a particular application?

First run a scan for virus/malware online on the computer and restart your computer to see if the problem persists.

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=ad724ae0-e72d-4f54-9ab3-75b8eb148356

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

If the problem persists then try to start in safe mode.

Run your computer in safe mode and see if you still get this error message. If you do not get this error in safe mode then run the clean boot on your computer by following the steps below. If you do not receive this error in safe mode, this means that a third-party application is causing the problem.

To use a boot option, follow these steps:

    1. reboot your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    2. Select an option using the arrow keys on the keyboard when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and press ENTER.

I would recommend that you start Windows in a clean boot environment to make this issue is not caused by a background program.

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows 7, follow these steps.

    1. departure to lick, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If your problem is resolved, follow the procedure to determine the cause of the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 . In addition, refer to the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode

Let us know the status of the issue.

    Hey, Ace,

    1. what application are you running?
    2. when exactly you get the error message?

If you experience this problem when you install Visual Studio, I suggest you post in the MSDN forums.
    http://social.msdn.Microsoft.com/forums/vstudio/en-us/home?category=netdevelopment

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have other problems with Windows in the future.

  • When the connection is lost and order expires an unhandled exception is thrown, pt 2

Initially the question was already asked here, but it is already archived... A bug was already open and is followed with #18336207 #18331763.

Managed ODP Driver Release 3, beta 2 was released last week and the bug persists. This fix will be included in the final version? Is it possible to expedite this fix (f.e. opening a case of pension)?

  • Satellite Pro L630-L14 - the unhandled exception message

I'm no expert, but I was hoping that someone could tell me how to get rid of / fix an error message thatI do me whenever I put on. The unhandled exception, said "access to PathC:\ProgrammeData\ToshibaEurope|. Registration\se fittings xml is denied. "

I had a Trojan horse affecting this laptop two weeks ago and he (or hidden) wiping most of the material I had on this machine.
Thanks I've got it running again, but this unhandled exception appears every time so I have to type Quit or he keeps coming back.

I have no idea how to fix this problem. I checked everything and so has my son, remotely and this morning I ran MalwareBytes and allowed the two files, but I still get the message unhandled exception.
It's annoying because I don't know if I need to have access to this road. If someone can tell me how do I cure this I would be grateful, but please keep in mind, I'm just a user with limited experience. It's a Satellite Pro L630-L14 and I got just TWO MONTHS! stevmk2

    Hello

I think the problem is the Trojan horse you had. It was probably something has changed on the access to the files/folders. If you can t remove the Trojan with Antivirus software, you must reinstall the whole operating system. Therefore, you can use the recovery disk as described here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

    > I got it just TWO MONTHS!
Who makes no difference, how is the laptop. This viral infection can happen after a few days and it s depending on your antivirus software you use, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the brand of laptop.
