Contacts sidebar Mozilla Thunderbird installation problem

I downloaded the add-on: Contacts Sidebar on my drive hard but I am unable to install it in my Mozilla Thunderbird. What should I do to install it? If there is an alternative to the use of contact sidebar to direct my emails (without an add on) I would try it. I've had trouble with this for a few weeks now so I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Request the addition on the author what's wrong with their software.

    I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for many years. It has always been a good system. Now, I get so when I hit delete, it takes a minute or two to delete the e-mail message. I tried to follow all the instructions on the help system and have turned off Mcafee whenever I try to read my mail.

    Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox are two separate applications, installation of Thunderbird should not replace Firefox.

  • I believe that Mozilla Thunderbird is slow while sending a message by copying to the sent box. I have multiple accounts, so implementation of tiles help!

    I feel as many times is slow to send the message in Mozilla Thunderbird. Where, as in my Android phone, I could send a message very fast.

    Have been using MT for 2 years and my provider are down, now I can't send or receive and I get a timed box in the lower right. Intensified the timed out from 100 to 1000, always expires. Called my provider (Charter.net) and re-opened my Charter of the email. Charter works very well, but I don't like it as well as Mozilla Thunderbird. and I did not have my contacts in the Charter.     If so, right-click on the deleted folder and select 'Empty Deleted' then right click again and select "Compact".

    (2) what version of Windows you are using on the computer?

    (3) updates are you referring?

    Method 1: Try to install the program as an administrator do a right click on the program installation files and select run as administrator, click on continue if you are prompted to confirm.

    1. have you checked the disk installation for scratches or damage?
    2. don't you try to install the game in the other computer?
    3. What is the operating system that is currently installed on your computer?
     
    First of all I suggest to perform a disk cleanup and check whether the problem is resolved.
     
    The disk cleanup tool helps you free up space on your hard disk to improve your computer's performance. The tool identifies files that you can safely remove, and then allows you to choose if you want to remove some or all of the files identified.

    To use disk cleanup in Windows 7 follow these steps below.
     
    a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, click System Tools and then click on disk cleanup. If several readers are available, you may be asked to specify which drive you want to clean.
    b. when disk cleanup has calculated how much space you can free of charge, in the dialog cleaning disc, scroll through the content of the files to delete list.

    c. clear the check boxes for files that you do not want to delete, and then click OK.

    For more options, such as cleaning of system restore and files copy of Shadow, under Description, click on clean up the system files, and then click the other Options tab.

    I also suggest you to run chkdsk.
    Follow these steps:
     
    a. click on start
    b. Type "cmd" in the start search box
    c. right-click on cmd.exe list programs and then select the run as Administrator option. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue
    d. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk/r X:
     Note: in this command, x is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check.
    a. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
    b. close all applications and restart the computer.
     
    Note: upon reboot, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts

    After the computer restarts, repeat steps 1 through 4 for the other volume and then check if the disk cleanup works.
     
    If the steps provided above does not resolve the problem then I suggest to install the game using the cleanboot and check for the issue.
    Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items
    the origin of the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and re-
    install the program.

  • Win 7 64 bit installation problem

    Hi, okay so I have a dell inspiron with windows vista 32 bit and I am trying to install windows 7 64 bit, I followed all the instructions and everything works fine until it gets to finish install, after the first reset itstarts completing installation and then I get a blue screen with the 0x000007e error code. I tried to remove ram and installation with only 2 GB, I downloaded a new startup of windows 7 on a flash drive to see if the drive has been courrpt but I got the same error, I also tried to projecting my drive hard and still no luck. Any ideas?

    As far as I can see there is no easy way to do this. However, an easy option is to have the Thunderbird in the system tray on hitting the close instead of closing button. The add-on "Minimize on start and close" for Thunderbird accomplishes this mission and to close all what you need to do is right-click on the icon in the taskbar, and then click close to close actually it.
