  "Find" my address book function does not work.  I have a 1000 contacts and anything (that) I'm trying to look upwards until it says * no. addresses *.

  I checked the filter function and nothing is selected.  Any thoughts?

  Hello Richard,.

  You can try to reset the device by removing the battery for 30 seconds, then replace it. After restarting the device, try to search for a person in the address book.

  Suddenly from 13/10/14 my sync: Curve 8520 to Outlook 2010/Windows 8 via the USB port has failed. Message on the desktop software: cannot load the previous settings Organizer to synchronize Organizer data between my computer and my BlackBerry smart phone.

  I tried to reset the "organiizer data select Synchronize" on the software and get the message that: the Organizer on your computer applications is not supported and suggested I check with Blackberry applications that are supported.

  Of course, BlackBerry supports Outlook. I have checked my Microsoft updates and find out who is a security for Outlook update has been downloaded and installed on 10-12-14 and wonder if this is the problem? Any help would be appreciated please.

  Found nothing on the net to solve my problem - hope that is not new on this forum!  I have always good connection wi - fi and 3g via the web browser.  However, at the same time, a number of apps for example App World, Sky News, Accuweather etc - that is, I guess that virtually any application requiring access network - don't report "data connection".  Hard reset usually restores this functionality (at home, at work, wherever) until I'm TSF phone in another mobile cell (i.e. the geographical area) - a summer only relatively short distance of my office in the city...  Then it's the same question 'no connection '.  So it seems to be a constant association at the end of the cell - as-TI-a - 'regisered.  I checked all the recommended checks and run several resolutions without result.  I have updated to the most recent Blackberry everything.  Before that I discharge my Blackberry in the last sale of thought start I'd have one last go.

  However, with hundreds of carriers in the world with dozens of different data plans, it is best to ask them directly for services that you have and at what cost. But, as a general rule, the built in browser BB requires a complete data BB plan (as stated in the FAQ). However, as also the FAQ, you can get another browser which may be able to work with all your services are that you have enabled your carrier.

  There no solution for searching for contacts through designation, city, industry, etc. in Blackberry.

  But this is possible only if you install a free app called Zebrost www.zebrost.com software directory

  I've only had my Blackberry for a few days, but an icon appeared on there earlier today which is exactly where appear new SMS and e-mail notifications.   A yellow globe... Open your main messages folder, and then click the Menu (to the left of the trackball) to SHOW the FOLDERS button.

  Look first in the WAP messages, and clear or open all messages.

  If this isn't the case here, check browser messages too.

  Its worth it:

  In the Desktop Manager

  Click Organizer > settings > calendar > advanced.  Check your mappings.  I don't have mine to install like this, so I can't check what should be the mappings.

  When I open my recent calls list a search box obscures the name of appellant last. The number can be seen, but when I try to select this appellant highlights the number of the last caller and the caller last name second. This made me call a wrong number several times.

  I had problems with my touch screen not working not.  After searching online it was suggested that the software might require the upgrade so I downloaded it.

  Now, my phone got lock up to 16% of the backup is complete.  I can't at this point that every time I turn the phone on it get to the same point and stop.  The battery hold a charge then over heating and I have to turn off the phone and remove the battery.

  Now, I get very frustrated that I cannot do anything with my phone!  Help, please!

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  I have a similar problem with my Blackberry Pearl 8110, Desktop Manager 5.01 and Outlook 2003 SP3.

  When I try to synchronize my contacts from my Blackberry to Outlook, the process gets thru 'Read in the device address book' 90 and 90 files without problem.  It starts the process following "Treatment Device Address Book" and gets 86 90 files and stops and a pop error message window: [title bar] Intellisync. It has a red circle with 'X' white and says "Unable to read data from application." with an ok button.

  I uninstalled Desktop Manager 5.01 twice, deleted the folder Intellisync following "KB11703" with no luck.

  In the Intellisync [C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync] folder I found this file: PtTrace.log (see below):

  Honestly, it sounds like a bad record... If you can refine what folder and delete it, maybe then things move on.

  But the KB02048 is therefore more accessible because RIM has either deleted from the Knowledge Base or?

  Help! I STILL NEED HELP WITH THE QUESTION, I WAS NOT ABLE TO SYNC MY CONTACTS FOR OVER A YEAR NOW!

  I couldn't find a solution for this, ANYWHERE so I just decided to fix this problem just upgrade to the new version of the BlackBerry Desktop version 6.0.0.40 software. And now, ALL my contacts synchronize with a problem.

  Also from the beginning of this problem and now I have also improved my Outlook 2003 to 2007 and then to 2010.

  So I do not know if the combo of doing all this software update fixed the issue of the contact crupt but its market not now and that's what I need.
