  I hope someone can help.  I created a Dreamweaver template for .php and created 5 pages of child of this model.  Everything is in working order as that is concerned.  Here's my problem:

  I want to add some dynamic data (categories) of a MySQL database to a non editable master section so that it flows to the pages of 5 children.  I can create a connection to the database without problem, but when I go to insert a recordset object in the model, it asks me to put in place the "site", the "document type" and the "test server" what I have done.  I'm sure it's because it's in watching the .dwt file type and saying that she should be a dynamic document such as .php.  I tried to go through these steps, but then it ends just rename my .php .dwt file and then it is no longer a model. I don't know why I can't add dynamic data to a dreamweaver template.  It seems that it should be a no-brainer, but it just isn't working for me.  In my research, I find the following

  Rename your yourtemplate.dwt.php model file.

  In other words, simply add .php at the end of your template file leaving the .dwt there.

• Nesting templates: child-model Pages does not fully to the Editable vs a-Editable regions

  Me kay, so first of all, it's all done within Dreamweaver CS5. How can I explain this, is that I have a series of Master-models for my site, then accompanied by child-models related to offshore of / nested my master-models. So far it's going wonderfully, until what I'm trying to make a page of one of my children-models.

  The page of my child-model accurately comment on an non editable (region in which is editable in the master model, but left as ONLY editable within the child-model) as long as I add an EDITABLE area it contains. In the circumstances I have DO NOT add an editable region in the editable area of the master model, the area within the Page is appearing always editable.

  It is a WORKING example of editable regions. In the child Page "Template CSS child links here." Appearing in comment and therefore not editable in the child Page, as if it was supposed to be. This time allows the 'child PAGE CSS links here' to be editable with PRECISION within the child-Page.

  Now for an example of what does not work:

  (As you can see, I've added an extra editable within the editable area of the master model. This is an area which is supposed not to be editable within the child-model and NOT the child-Page, which seems to be up to NOW accurate.)

  (For a reason, THAT as long as I DO NOT add an additional child-model - edit box in the editable area of the master model, this area is appearing ALWAYS visible but also editable in the child Page.)

  So, in this circumstance, it seems that the only way I can leave ALONE the editable region of the master model can be changed within the child-model and NOT editable in the child Page is leaving an ADDITIONAL editable produced through the child-model somewhere within the editable region EVERY SINGLE, produced by the master model. Unless I do something bad, it seems this until a potential defect/bug in Dreamweaver CS5. I can't imagine how this would be correct, otherwise child/Nested-Templates would be not possible to do. What could I do it wrong? Is it possible that I can specify in the master model is an editable editable ONLY within the child-model and NOT yet child-Pages (A Page based on the template of the child)? Or maybe is it possible that I can specify the child-model that an area can be changed WILL NOT be editable in the child Page? Furthermore, no, I DON'T want to make "Optional Regions", so please do not suggest that.

  I know it's all probably a little confusing, but I hope the examples above more than descriptions aside. As you can probably assume, it is definitely a HUGE complication in my site if it does not end up being a solution, especially with all the time I put into making the child models, which I hope to rely on. It would be really silly if I had to script - in an editable region extra in each master-model-editable-region unique available within my child-model just so that I can update my child-model, in addition to my changes to my child-Pages, to fall as much as it would maintain the content that I never wanted to be editable in the child Page in the FIRST place.

  = _ = I can't believe that I say this, after having written ALL that a period, but thanks to 'Dreamweaver CS5 for Dummies,' I just found out that if you place: @@("") @ in the editable area of the desired child/Nested model DO NOT passed down for your child-Pages, it won't appear not editable. God knows why such a discrete formula was the answer, but I guess that everything works. ... WHY WAS IT SO DIFFICULT TO FIND INFORMATION? @_ @ Information about nested templates in general seems quite hard to find, however, so I'm glad that I thought that this output /not/ never a full hour / after writing all this upward and detachment. #__#  ... At least my child models can work perfectly now, though. Then... FIXED scenario. ^^

  I hope that now this information will appear useful to someone else hunting for that information via Google or other search engine in the future. And if there is nothing at all that I'm still officially missing, then do feel free to add to food and let me know, because the last thing I need now of law are more surprising difficulties also slow down the productivity of this vast project I worked on... @_ @... But so far things seem to be going well. ^^ So I can just incredibly grateful that he will eventually be a solution to this ridiculous after all.

• Master encroaches on the content of the child to resize

  When 2015.2 came out, I went through the pages of my master and child and put all to resize. Everything works perfectly except one thing:

  The master page content overlaps the child content of the page. Instead of moving the child down content, as I expect, the content master appears as a layer on the happy child.

  Am I missing some sort of here?

  To resolve this problem, you need to work with breakpoints in the Muse.

  Create breakpoints between the top and bottom of your pages breakpoint, then adjust your content accordingly.

• Library assets created in illustrator cc. But it does not appear in the model

  Are one-way unique active library? Those created on adobe mobile apps (draw, shape, comp) appear in desktop applications. But not the external manner around? I created a graphic library asset in illustrator cc. But although the new name for the library, I created showed upward in the model, the graph or the good does not. Appreciate any help on this.

  When I click on the collapsible tab, I want the content to appear from the top - not the bottom.   Adobe Spry has dropped towards the end of last year after CS6 is released.  Future products will probably not any Spry to learn how to use jQuery is a valuable skill to have for the future.

• In a helpset with several CHMS, how to make the table of main contents appear in all CHMS child?

  I use RoboHelp 11. The software product I am documenting is modular, so help is also divided into numerous CHMS (requirement). One of the other requirements is that the table of contents of the master project appears, called anyone who chm contains the link by the software. I did it with merged WebHelp (Kudos to Peter Grainge), but I could not help using RoboHelp HTML. Someone has it tried with success? Advice would be appreciated.

  This forces you to make the following changes:

  1. In each project, open the window used to display CHM. Click Advanced Properties and enter the name of the file from the table of contents for the master project in the field of the "Table of contents".
  2. After compiling all the files, open the master project. High hydrostatic pressure in the Notepad file. Locate the [MERGEDFILES] section. This should be a list of all CHMS that make up the final deliverable. For some time I used CHMS, so I do not remember if you must do this in all projects. Try first in the main project and you'll know if you do.

• Delete the contents of the tag in Dreamweaver?

  I have an XML file that has about 40 lines of code. Some of the tags contained inside, and some are empty. I want to create a model of XML in this file for future use, where I can easily insert the desired text in the empty fields.

  I need a command in Dreamweaver that I can use line-by-line to remove content within each set of tags, but leaving the tags themselves intact (so I can insert text into in the future).

  What command in Dreamweaver CS4 easily clears these areas while preserving the tags themselves?

  No, it isn't. As I have said before, Dreamweaver cannot find and replace by line number.

  What it can do is to look for patterns. If you want to delete the values of the , and elements, you can do so with the following regular expression in the find and Replace dialog box:

  Search: Source Code

• Please HELP - problem with 2 fixed column of the model Dreamweaver CS3

  I am creating a website using the 2 column fixed, no sidebar, header and footer template html in Dreamweaver CS3.  I tried to put a photo in the right side bar as well as in the part main content or to the left of the page, and no image is displayed when I view it in any of the browsers I use.

  I did some only minor changes in the colors and sizes, but other than that, no other changes.  The pic that I put in the header appears perfectly fine.

  Any help or advice for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  I'm building a site using a Dreamweaver CS4 template as a starting point. Everything seemed OK until I tested in www.browsershots.org which revealed that MSIE 7.0 on Windows XP pushes all the main content down the page and out of sight. Even on pages: http://www.designforte-test.co.uk

  A DW template has nothing to do with the control of page layout.  If you feed a model trash, you get garbage out.

  I think that your problem is related to the basic layout plan - the CSS of the model is wrong.

• Newbie question - model Dreamweaver Spa

  Hello!

  I am new to the Web design, so I practice with a Dreamweaver template to help me get started. I use the model of "Spa".

  Everything was great; change the header, background color, images etc. without problem. Then I met an obstacle!

  The navigation links on the left side, have the police and the boundary defined in the yellow color. I want to change their money (#999999).

  I thought the way to do, was to change the ID and class in the StyleSheet Styles, from yellow to silver. I did this, the watch changes the design pane and displays fonts in money. Large. It worked!

  Except that it didn't!

  When I saw in Safari it's always the same - yellow! I have changed every single color in the stylesheet to money, nothing is set to yellow, yet when I Preview in Safari it shows still yellow!

  I was pulling my hair out on all morning trying to understand him. So I decided to ask for help. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Or how to change?

  Clear the cache for Safari. In the menu Safari-> clear Cache (keyboard shortcut is Command-Option-E).

  Chances are that Safari uses copies of the old file. You can also try a forced reload, hold down the Option key and click the refresh in the address bar.

  When you run into problems, as you can see always empty the cache of the browser (for any browser) before starting to tear your hair out. It's an easy trap for a beginner.

• iframe content appears in Windows 7 or Mac FF

  I read almost all the messages on the frames displayed in FF, however, I have a strange problem. While I am able to get the iframe to display, NOT the ENTIRETY of its contents is the display. It's weird. An example page is below, click on the virtual tour tab and you'll see what I mean. All the code is displayed. This also happens for another page with the same type of code. This works fine in Chrome/IE PC and Mac. Any help would be appreciated.

• error message on model dreamweaver download

  I get an error message when I try to download a template from dreamweaver to the Server Business Catalyst.

  I put in the {tag_pagecontent} tag. I tried a lot of different models and stripped to the bare bones, it will not download. It doesn't seem to be a problem with a file. I copied from another site for win me time on this site, may be that is the question.

  BC support told me to contact dreamweaver. I think this is a server error not a dreamweaver error. I use Dreamweaver cc 2015.  Any suggestions?

  Hello.

  As you are not in the latest version of the WebCenter then you've to follow one of the following methods:

  First approach:

  • Go to your project to DesignWebCenterSpaces .
  • View the file adfc - config.xml hidden in the configuration of the project.
  • Save your managed bean and add the file adfc - config.xml as part of the profile of the custom.war deployment.
  • Deploy using ANT scripts and restart WC_Spaces.

  Second approach:

  • Add your managed bean to the adfc - config.xml a your deployments custom shared libs.
  • Deploy using ANT scripts and restart WC_Spaces.
