• How to create content for my DMP - 4310G

  Hi all

  I am very new to my Cisco DMP - 4310g. I'm looking for some quick knowledge about how to get the content created and sent to play on my DMP.

  When looking for a player of signage, that I fell on the DMP - 4310g, reading the Cisco's Web site that explains the units looks like what I was looking for, but I was a little confused on how to get this operational thing. I contacted my dealer which I explained then to them that I wanted a player signaling that I could put in my reception area for visitors. I wanted something I could show images of society events, tickers for the news and maybe live TV streaming if possible. My dealer told me it's the unit, I needed. They said that I need the player DMP - 4310G and the DMP-4310-SW52-K9 software license (which allows me to create content?).

  Cisco's Web site was not exactly clear on how to create and publish content on these units, but I assumed that the license of the software they sent me was for the designer of digital media software. So, as you can see I'm stuck. I have the player and a software license (at least that is what it says on my packing slip), but how do I access the software Desginer? I can't find anywhere on the Cisco site to get it. How can I create content to display on the player?

  Help, please. I'm so confused. I have these two things, but where do I go from here?

  Sounds like your dealer was not familiar with the solution. You can read the content on the DMP-4310 without the rest of the very, but it's a very manual process. The correct way to use the reader is to add the rest of the solution (Digital Media Manager, sign a license and licenses of DMP functionality). The design tool is part of the Digital Media Manager.

  You can also see the arms industry. They write software specifically for the 4310 DMP who will make content creation and management of small deployments as you have.

  I have a problem install vSphere Update Manager 5.5 on a Windows 2008 R2 server and I do not really get around it.

  During the installation of the Update Manager, I get the following error:

  Error 25003. To create database tables, the installation failed.

  This happens on the installation task "Repository of database creation of VMware vSphere Update Manager".

  I know that this error has already been discussed. It seems that this error happens mainly when you are using a remote SQL database. That's what I'm NOT.

  My environment is that a domain joined Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard in English. We use the vCenter Server Appliance, so there is no database present on this server. Only, I begin the installation of the Update Manager and use the option to automatically install an instance of SQL Express. Then, this error occurs.

  I did another installation of Manager Update on another site without any error.

  No clue as to what might cause this error?

  Yes, I tried.

  During this time, I understood what causes problems. This server is a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard in English, but with Turkish regional settings.

  This locale cause Update Manager produce this Error 25003. Once I changed all the English locale and rebooting the server, then install flawlessy.

  This error seems to be known by VMware, but only for vCenter Server installation. VUM also seems to be affected.

• Where to download packages update for Update Manager?

  My configuration VI is on an isolated network (IE, no internet connection).

  Update Manager is installed on the same computer that the my RESUME.

  Only the host esx patches are needed.

  I understand that the solution recommended is to:

  1. install the download Service for the Manager to update on a computer with internet connection

  2 download required patches

  3. export the patches

  4. transfer the patches (using the portable storage)

  5 import the patches to the Update Manager

  6 proceed now with ESX patching.

  I wonder if there is anywhere on the net where I can just download the hotfix package and skip step 1-4.

  No, there is no location. Patches are located on the patchstore of VMware. There are installation files, as well as the metadata files that must be downloaded from the patchstore. In your case, you must use UMD. It is easy to install and use.

• Support of creating content for autostereoscopic display (SDK)?

  as a researcher at the University, I am very interested in not only consume autostereoscopic presentations because it is supposed to be possible with the Qosmio F750 - 10M, but I am also particularly interested in the possibilities of creating stereoscopic content for these devices.

  Does anyone have experience with this?
  Is there a reference/knowledge base of this topic? There may be even not SDK published this helps connect technologies such as engines of real-time game and/or the preparation of static image?

  Perhaps another basic question that could respond indirectly to those above is: how the stereo is actually display to work? Is it essentially using only two images (one for each eye) like most other systems (i.e. shutter glasses, glasses of polar,...)? Or is it using several images, as seems to be the case in some lenticular systems?
  The number of necessary renders highly influences the ease of connection to stereo - systems, and I think that, as it might be a very different challenge to make more than 2 angles all the time...

  This is probably because it s a user to user forum then you can only talk to normal people like you and me and this is no technician or someone from Toshiba.

  I hope someone else can give a better answer, but it takes a bit. Qosmio F750 is very new laptop model and it might take a bit longer until other people receive too.

  Alternative you can contact a service provider authorized in your country. Usually, guys should know more details on autostereoscopic. Just talking a bit with guys ;)

  I read the for the management module user guide remote. Is superb! One thing... How to set up the MMR? (Address IP... etc). It is not in the BIOS... I don't see any prompt at startup to access a utility of config for IT... any help?

  lysdexic01, I know almost exactly what you describe on my screen of iTunes Store recently updated for Windows 7 64-bit. Only difference is that the icons in the black box are invisible until I move the mouse above them, their location by trial and error. Once activated, the icon remains visible. Each found icon flickers at first, but stops flashing if I pass the mouse over it.

  I think that the store is now functional and useless for those of us experiencing this problem. Other users have reported that their iTunes store screen flickers since they updated iTunes to the latest version, but most did not mention the area big black screen that you and I see.

• Suggestions for Vista SP2 installation?

  I have the window update the value "warn me before to download and install".  So, I have been notified that SP2 is available.  Need suggestions on the best estimate how to install without problems.  Must I download/install from boot.  Should I disable all applications security same Win Defender and Firewall of Win.

  FYI
  I installed SP2, the easy way.  I used the free Microsoft support available for SP2.  Microsoft took control shared my PC and downloaded/saved/ran/installed Stand alone packaging and analysis tool.   They holding me hands and accompanied me every step and I got SP2 installation without flaw.
