  I have a requirement to retrieve a number of elements of a given contributor data file. The problem is, I don't know how to retrieve the XML code inside a custom component of IdocScript.

  Given the content of the data contributor file ID, is there an easy way to get the XML file, or do I need to use with a service call?

  If it's a Java component, why not just get the direct file system XML file? The demand function, you could have a file path in the binder... If not, use the IdcFileDescriptor object:

• Issue to the creation/editing UCM contributor data file

  We have the requirements below:

  (a) create a contributor by program data file, and not using the contributor of the Studio Site for a definition of region RD1, by using a custom, template not the model of default.xml provided by the Studio (SS) Site.

  I created a data contributor using RD1 file and set it as your primary file to create other files of data for this RD1. I used CHECKIN_NEW IDC service to create the data file. PFA the code snippet. I was able to successfully create the data file.

  With this code, test and whether the requirement that you are looking for is completed and update results.

  Try reading the article sites look bad or appear differently than they should. Follow all the steps in it. If this does not work, try using the new reset feature in Firefox. Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons. It should take care of this for you.

  Oh. In this case, why you want to display some url to users... You can do it in a different way. Please check below the image. Please select any test for example click here or download in WYSWYG editor and click on the link and revised with to create the link... When the user clicks on a particular link in the portal documents get the download now. You also have the ability to source in the WYSWYG editor where you can make required changes...

  Sorry, but we do a general audit of the configuration before enabling the TRACE log levels because it should be a simple thing missing.

  Can you confirm that WebCenter content are activated as a result of components (UCM Console-> Administration-> server-> Component Manager Admin)? :

  - Studio site.

  -Site of Studio for external Application.

  -WebCenterConfigure

  -LinkManager

  -DBSearchContainsOpSupport

  
  

  In the case of be activated all (don't forget to restart UCM if you turn any component). Make sure that you have done as following steps:

  1. Log in to Content Server and open the Administration page.
  2. Select the Studio Site Administration, and then set the default Project Document information.
  3. Accept the default settings, and then click Update.
  4. Select the Studio Site Administration, and then to set Document information by default Active Web.
  5. Accept the default values and click Update

• Synchronization of changes to contributor region data files

  We are currently the subject of a redesign of the site and, therefore, we are working on new models in the region. In addition to coding patterns, we also write new definitions of the region to accommodate the additions and deletions of several elements that relate to our new design. Currently, the items in the new definition of the region are named identical to the former definition of the region. Doing so, however, can become a maintenance problem in the future that some names are not necessarily to their end in the model and the site as a whole.

  I want to do is rename these items (which are incorporated within the definition of the region) so that their names are more relevant for their new purpose. The challenge with this involves all data files existing contributor. Obviously, we don't want to repeat these contributor data files to adapt the new names within the new definition of the region. It is with this problem, that I turn to you, the experts for help: is it possible to synchronize changes made to a definition of the region so that they also appear in the contributor data files?

  For example, if I have an element named "ImgLarge" I would like to rename it to "IntroImage", I would that all my data files of the contributor that are associated with this definition of the region to rename their 'wcm:element' from 'ImgLarge' to 'IntroImage '. Through testing, I noticed that this does not change the contributor data file. In fact, the contributor data file retains the existing (ImgLarge) with its data item and just creates a new element (IntroImage) for me to fill it with content. I wonder if there is a tool or process available to synchronize changes made to a definition of area out to its contributor data files until I turn to writing a script for this.

  Here is a summary of what I'm looking for. Essentially, I want just the data files of contributor to resemble their definitions of the region, while keeping the same content ' if their names change.

  1. modification of the element name is reflected in the CDF (as discussed above)

  2. removal of the element leads to the deletion of the content of the CDF

  3. Add the item gets reflected in the CDF (this is done natively, as far as my requirements go).

  There is nothing I know of out of the box which carries out this mission.

  You should be able to write a custom component to do this. You will need the following:

  1 search to find all IDUS who have a particular xRegionDefinition the tag on them.

  2. an analysis of the XML library.

  3. a mapping between the new values in the definition of the region and which must be replaced to the CDF.

  Why Dreamweaver has a problem with that? Yes, the file name is used in several sites, but that particular file is unique to another Site Local folder and has a meaning local testing server. Everything that Dreamweaver is fully aware. Why, when Dreamweaver gets to do these amazing stuff, I have to click the appropriate Site?

  Sorry, I don't have an answer to that. Even when I have several open sites pages, I've never been invited to switch to another site when registering.

  On the other hand, I do not have any installation where I use common files that require changes in Dreamweaver. One of the flaws of Dreamweaver is that it does not offer a simple way to work with files that are stored outside of the root of the site. Its origins date back to the time of static HTML sites (actually, I think that's what most people probably still use it to), so everything is based on all of the files within the root of the server.

  A technique that some people use to work with files outside of the root of the site is to create a site for external files and then nest to public folders inside. Dreamweaver warns against this, but it doesn't prevent you to do so. However, I think that several sites within a common root of nesting can lead to the kind of problem that you are experiencing.

  So here is the situation that I am:
  
  A customer has a backup from August 1, 2010 with all archivelogs since then until now. They need restore such backup to another server, but a data file was added to the database, August 8 and no database backup was taken, but there is an automatic backup of the controlfile. If I can restore to the other server with what I have?
  I thought up the database using the controlfile autobackup on August 8, and then restore and recovery, but who could make me ' backup of the data file x not found ' errors?
  Or can I do a simple restore and recover with the backup on 1 August and just apply all archivelogs as usual?

  No, not in 10g, during the recovery of the file is recreated by oracle.
  (BTW this won't work for ordering duplicate rman 10 g)
