Continual disconnect wireless internet.

Hi people,

Was after aid:

I have currently serious problems with my laptop - I'll be working and all of a sudden I disconnected from the internet. I still access the network I'm on (connected wireless), but will have zero access to the internet. Sometimes access to the net will come back only continually drop.

I have everything - two new wireless routers, all new strings the modem for routers have tried, defrags, reformat... The problem is my laptop is the only one that this happens. iPads, android phones and other portable who enter the House have no problem connection and stay connected to the internet via the wireless network. Before buying a new laptop, which WAS my new laptop, I see nothing else to do.

Product name: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

OS: Windows 7-64 bit.

Processor: Intel Core i7-2760QM CPU @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz

Error message: Cannot connect to the internet at this time, please check your Wi - Fi connection and restart your modem.

Any help would be appreciated and wanted to keep me from pulling out my hair in frustration more that I already have.

Thank you very much

Hi, Bek:

What model of wireless card is installed in your laptop?

If you are unsure you will find listed in the device under the section manager network cards.

It will be a model of Atheros, Broadcom, Intel, Ralink and Realtek.

  • HP Pavilion g6 - 2288ca - Wireless internet continually fall

    Hello

Approximately nine to ten months of passes, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion g6 - 2288ca, C2N59UAR product number, Windows 8. Recently I had questions where wireless internet will fall without warning. I have already established that the problem is not with my router or your ISP, so I can only assume that there is a problem with my adapter wireless, either hardware or software-related. Usually, I can connect to my internet at home without any problems. However, as I said, the internet has declined suddenly on my computer when it can be demonstrated to work well on other computers and devices connected to the internet in my house. Now, the thing runs the resolution of problems and you reboot my adapter wireless usually does the trick. Unfortunately, it is often a temporary solution, while the connection is usually immediately after a few minutes. I tried to manually update my drivers, but which seems to have been unsuccessful. In addition, the rate at which it falls seems completely random. Sometimes I'll reset my adapter and it'll work for the next six hours, and sometimes I'll reset and he drops in thirty seconds.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? These problems have not appeared until recently, and at this point, I am considering just do a system restore.

If your laptop is unfortunately Ralink wireless adapter, this is a common problem with this card.

  • Lose the wireless internet connection when it is not active

    Hello
I have an annoying problem. IM losing my connection wireless internet access after a few minutes is not active... Well not according to the 'doctor' program - it shows no signs of a problem.

Looking at the 'LAN' icon, I see he's trying to connect when I ask, for example, an update on the current site, but simply not turn on the blue bar.

The only cure to get online is to update the connection.

    What I'm doing wrong here?

    Thanks in advance... Jens

    Hello Jens

Please check the option sign-out after x... on your router. The sign-out feature is used to disconnect the router from your ISP automatically when there is no activity for a certain period of time. For example, place a check mark next to this option and enter 5 in the minute field will cause the router to disconnect from the Internet after 5 minutes of no activity from the Internet. This option should be used if you pay for your Internet service by the minute.

    Good bye

  • Intermitant selective wireless Internet

    Recently, I bought a Hp Elitebook 8530w.

The problem is sometimes the wireless internet does not work properly.

Generally, the computer says that it is connected, and yet when I try to use a Web browser, it remains indefinitely on a white page with "waiting for [Web site name] to answer." When I go to play a game that requires the internet service, it is impossible to connect. But then, when I use an instant messanging system to communicate with a friend, the internet works.

Immediately I guess that's my anti-virus doing soemthing tweaked since I was in a remote way, connected to the internet. After audit, it, adding "exception" and then finally just discontinue the entire service and see if that solved the problem, he still produced no results.

It has become a problem of frerquent, and it seems that some immediate fixes are by restarting the computer and then disconnect recconnecting with the wireless network. But alas, the problem appears sometimes as beauty as every few minutes, and sometimes repair the connection works, leading to a complete loss of connectivity.

So when I Googled, I didn't a lot about my problem (although I found some people have problems reconnecting to the internet after the release of the standby mode) other than the basic tips of: restart your computer. Make sure your router is working, more low-traffic internet, reinstall driver. And Yes after restrting my computer, making sure my router works (my other laptop worked fine) and reinstall the driver, the problem still persisted. The driver that I reinstalled has Intel(r) WiFi Link 5300 AGN

    Basic information:

    System:

    Microsoft Windows XP

P.S. as expected, the 1st time I try this post, my internet connection failed, despite the fact mislead I was instant messanging a friend. When you try to repair the connection, the process has failed to "Renew ip address" manually disconnect, then reconnect works however.

  • Unable to connect to wireless internet after Windows Vista update on 16/09/10

Since I've updated windows I cannot access my wireless internet connection, however, I am still able to connect via the LAN port.

If I check my ipconfig it says under the "media disconnected" wireless network connection  I tried to get my IP address into my settings because they seem to have disappeared, but I can't always wireless.  I ran all Windows diagnostic tools, but all say that the internet connection is fine (due to it being connected by the LAN port).

I also tried to fix it by other solutions on this forum, that is

    • Open Set Up a Wireless Router or Access Point by clicking theStart button, clickingControl Panel, clicking network and Internet, and then clicknetwork and sharing Center. In the left pane, clickset up a connection or network, and thenset up an access point or wireless router.

The result of the message is ' Windows has detected network hardware, but it cannot automatically configure "and when I try to manually configure the server requires a user name and password which I don't have.

Please could shed you some light on this case for me?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I tried everything above without result.  However, I managed to reinstall my wireless router software after having repaired my DVD driver software.  I restarted my computer and Wireless does not work.  Reinstalled the software new and restarted the computer, and then after a short period of time the computer connected to wireless internet!  Not know not why the remedy has been delayed or why it did not work after the first attempt, but it connects wireless now - what I know is that this problem occurred after an update of Windows, it's a shame that Microsoft failed to address this problem as it was their update it as many other people have also claimed.

A big thank you to everyone who offered advice.

I've had my computer for almost three years now and during that time, most of the parties on this matter have been replaced.

More recently, I got both my hard drive and my card wireless replaced due to different problems and now it has developed recently that I can not connect to wireless internet. I live with my best friend, who also has a Dell laptop and I myself own an Acer Netbook and an iPhone, both of which successfully connect to wireless internet. It seems that my system that is having this problem.

I spoke with representatives of Dell's Support more + 5 times and nothing has solved this problem. They simply tell me it's a software problem and I have to buy something System Repair for $100 + (even after having spend $600 on a warranty, which apparently doesn't cover that material).

Obviously, I can connect to via an ethernet/cable connection, but not wireless. It's not that the connection is not displayed, it shows and said it connects, but I only have 'Local' go. This isn't the first problem I've had with my wireless; I got other errors such as: "the ability of this network adapter does not match the requirements of this network" or the connection will show, but that their will to be greyed out as if I don't get any kind of connectivity.

    Hello

Since the update of the driver did not work I would return the system back to factory
as suggested in my response above. After the revision updated the WiFi driver again. If this
does not work then it's material. If necessary, you can disable the built-in WiFi and
use a device of WiFi add-on.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

A message in the small window that says connected wireless does not mean that you really have a valid functional connection.

Linking the means of router you can enter the IP base of the router in an address bar in one go, being able to connect, see and configure the router menus (extended to the wireless router manual should explain how to do).

If it will not connect to your wireless router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

To ensure that if there are utility wireless isn't running with the native Windows wireless utility provider (Service WLAN).

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

  • My laptop cannot connect to wireless internet. Ethernet works fine. Wireless is enabled on the laptop.

    original title: portable wireless problems

Hi guys, my laptop cannot connect to wireless internet. I tried to use ConfigFree Diagnostic tests already installed on my computer, reset the router, and even taking on the router for 30 seconds and put it to. On my laptop wireless switch is turned on, too. Is the only way I can connect to the internet via an ethernet cable and I started to disconnect from the wireless internet just yesterday. I know that my router is not the problem because I have a laptop connected to her brother. Also, I tried the FN + F8 key on my Toshiba laptop. Thank you in advance.

Is this also your thread with a different name?

To do a hard reset on the router and the modem, you must feed their STOP, wait 3 minutes,
then then turn on the modem on - when it comes back - router - when it is set to zero
    computers.
    ----------------------------------------------

Anyway the same answer applies: update WiFi driver that something has probably
He touched. Make sure that the wireless device is turned on, if there is a switch on the computer.
Many Toshiba have a WiFi switch on the front or side.

Update the driver WiFi, use the wired (NIC) to download the driver or do it on another
system and your transfer on removable media such as CD, DVD or a USB key.

Control Panel - device - network - WiFi note the brand manager and full
model information - double click - writing tab Drivers version - then power management tab uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device...". »

Then on the tab driver, click Update driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
drivers of certification) - then right click on the device - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will
    update the driver stack.

Go to system Maker and search for the WiFi Driver updated - download - SAVE - go to
where you put it - make a right click on it - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT

Then go to the site of the manufacturer of the device and get even more recent (Realtek, Intel, or one that makes
the device) and try the install again.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

This computer is not yet a year old, and already I am unable to use it for the internet.  Not very well I plug my ethernet cable router wireless in the library.  I bought a laptop for a reason, but it is on track to achieve more like a desktop.  Very disappointing.

    Hello

When the man from BestBuy, fortunately for us technology is not a cleaning product, there is no way of knowing if someone puts his hand on it and knowing what is wrong rather than moving oral reprimand...

First step, log on to the HP support and download the latest drivers for your wireless card.

The HPG60 is a very good phone but its wireless card has problems with old drivers.

In which case it's a hardware problem, contact HP support.

In general, you can use this process to find out what's wrong with the wireless.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

    --------------------------------------------------

I really checked and configured every thing and it doesn't work.

Software firewall application that is not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the router is also a possible problem.
some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • Wireless Internet has declined and now cannot be found

I have a problem where I was a game on my computer. I turned off my computer and restarted but on reset my computer can not find all wireless internet connections and I currently have 2 routers. The computer works fine through ethernet that really confuses me. All the switches for my network card are enabled and Fn F2 is on, but there is no connection. Tried to update my drivers for cards which is a 8168c of the adapter realtek wireless for my laptop. He also went to Manager of peripheral and done so that the card was still active and functional, and said that it was on. When you try to find the network it says windows wireless service does not work, but cannot be repaired. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I hope that this isn't a hardware problem, if software solutions would be great.

    Hi c_chase26,

You could try SFC to repair the file.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. start and type cmd in the box start the search.

    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click on run as
    administrator.

    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password

    or confirmation, type
your password or click on continue

    4. at the command prompt

type the following line and press ENTER:

    Sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, a test to see if the question you are
    the experience has been resolved.

  • My laptop Sony VAIO with Vista will not connect and stay connected to my wireless internet.

My laptop Sony VAIO with Vista will not connect and stay connected to my wireless internet.  All other laptops in the House are perfectly.  Internet disconnects, says local only, then reconnects constantly making internet hard work.

    Hi Tinkerbellfancolorado,

    1. When is this last work fine?
    2. Do you receive an error message or error codes?
    3. Recent changes on the computer?

There could be several causes for this problem.

    Try starting with these methods.

    Method 1

    Step 1

    1. Open Network Diagnostics by right-clicking the network icon in the notification area, and then click diagnose and repair.
    2. Make sure that all cables are connected (for example, make sure that your modem is connected to a working jack or cable phone connection, either directly or through a router).
    3. Reset your modem and router. Remove the power cord from the modem or router, wait at least 10 seconds, then plug in the modem and/or router back.

    Step 2

Another reason may be windows disable your network adapter to save power. Turn off the power saving option in the properties of the network (wired network only cards) card:

    1. Open network connections by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking network and Internet, click network and sharing Center, and then clicking manage network connections.
    2. Right-click on the connection and then click Properties. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. On the Networking tab, click Configure.
    4. On the power management tab, clear the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option, and then click OK.

    Method 2

Temporarily disable the firewall, and check the status.

NOTE: To re-enable the firewall after check you the status. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your /firewall antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hope that was heloful.
