  I've never used a VSS, but I used the control code Source HR. I can't find that clear cut answer to my current question. All features as securing help based on the roles of security defined by the company, help merge and several authors by project/topic even work in VSS or it is just a feature of control code Source HR?

  My current client has VSS and I don't know that they would like to buy HR Source code control, unless I come here with a very good reason for that.

  MeWrite contacted me directly, and I thought that I would pass it along my answer to his questions that might be useful to other people who can come to this topic later.

  It is true that many of the features of the mentions of Rick (reports of merger, search and structuring from Google Analytics) could create a * similar * RoboHelp Server 8 experience. However, there are many distinct advantages using the HR Server 8. After all, several companies, universities and health organizations I've worked with would not be pay for this option and continue the upgrade over the years, if they did not find value in it. I will try to describe the differences.

  1. Unlike the typical "log analyzers", produced by RoboHelp Server especially feedback reports meet the needs of authors willing to continually improve their content based on feedback from the end user. For example, web log (and services such as Google Analytics) analysers have been around for years. But Google Analytics cannot provide a parallel report of "Unanswered Questions" of RoboHelp Server just as an example.
     This is because the HR Server uses a database for collect words verbatim that are typed in the search field. Thus it provides not only comments on which keywords are searched. More importantly, she even keeps track of the research you present no result!

• There are also improved search functions which go far beyond the ordinary search client that is used in the WebHelp non-server-side (for example, the characters generic, etc. too numerous to list here)
• All administrative actions for the server is a web application that is very easy for the author to use without being dependent on a web administrator to intervene (authors really like this independence!) If the admin team chooses, reports can be generated and considered by experts in the field and others who do not even use RoboHelp!
• Unlike some competitors, RoboHelp Server can be configured with or without MS Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) if it is HIS preference. It's because it works with the free, open source server Apache Tomcat and Apache Lucene search engine.

Just in the last 6 weeks, I helped 4 customers install and configure RoboHelp Server and train on the client of RoboHelp for organizations, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to major universities and they enjoyed the added features of RoboHelp Server. Of course for some organizations, these features are not necessary and good ol' ' WebHelp may suffice. Regardless, it deserves a second look.

• RoboHelp 9 with control code Source PushOK

  We have recently improved our win7 64 bit machines. I have the process, we have also been updating Robohelp 7 to 9.  On our previous machines, we used Robosource 3.1 as the source control.

  We have a major project in Robohelp and I copied the files on my new machine and opened it in RH9. He converted to the course without problem and seems to work well.

  However, when I try to add the project to the code Source of PushOk control, he will not see PushOk and offers only 3.1 SR.  I followed the directions to find here of Aditi Roongta to install robohelp_subversion.  I checked that PushOK SVNSCC plugin is listed in the registry as a SCC provider installed. In fact, it is the only supplier of the source in the register control.

  So my questions: why my project RH9 keeps suggesting only SR 3.1 when it is not yet installed on my computer? How to remove 3.1 RS and, he can recognize the PushOK?

  Seems that you have installed the PushOk SVN 64-bit Installer. You must install install 32 bits of PushOk SVN to integrate with RoboHelp. Once you install it on a 64-bit machine, you will see the entrance to registry HKLM > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > SourcecodeControlProvider > InstalledSCCProviders.

  Similarly, if RoboSource Control is installed on your machine, its registry entry will be displayed in the above registry location.

• OPM control code Source Subversion 10.2 - Version History error

  I managed to understand - when I add a device to the list of booking (by clicking on the box next on 'Add clients'), if the device that is added to the reserve list has a white "customer name" field - the interface adds a hidden left space (' ' ') for the name field of the customer in the list of reservations. • IFmsNotifyAction: the long string arguments get corrupted

  I use addNotifyAction in an Auth plugin to trigger a function in the application AS code. As shown in the examples, I'm passing a variable FmsVariant to addParam to add a string value to the argument list. Apparently, if I pass a string more of 32 characters, there somewhere is corrupt. If I connect its value through "path" from the AS code, I often get randomly garbage, sometimes including part of the value of the original / part of the other strings that do not belong there. If I use a shorter string, everything works fine. I have reproduced the same problem using the original sample of AuthModule.cpp code, to which I've just added the following code (in MyFmsNotifyEvent::notify):

• My files on the hard drive are getting corrupted?

  I use the model of MacBook Air 2013 Yosemite running. I have a Seagate BackPlus 1 TB drive to NTFS. And I use Tuxers NTFS on my Mac to read and write files from NTFS devices. Lately, I'm sloly from knowledge that my files on the hard drive are getting corrupted. When I try to open any folder I blocks until I have remove my hard drive. I lost some files like this. Now, they are completely inaccessilble. The big sone files show even ehen 0 bytes, they are around a GB or something. I start out freak because all my data is in this hard drive. 1 TB of data. Its my life is locked in it.

  Probably not. The problem you are experiencing is almost certainly that the drive itself has failed. It could have also been caused by third party software that you use to support a formatted NTFS volume. Isolate the cause to one or the other is probably not an effort worth it, because the files themselves are probably already damaged and unusable. In this case the only alternative to certain to succeed is to restore from a backup.

  As you know the Mac FAT32 and ExFAT supports and can read, but not write - formatted NTFS volume. For this reason, if you ask the Windows compatibility, you must select ExFAT.

  You could try using the third-party data recovery software, even if success is not guaranteed. I can offer no specific product recommendations.

• I get corrupted files indexing whenever I have access directly to the files on my system.

  I installed Windows 7 on a partition of a raid 0 with Windows XP on a second partition as a dual boot. The installer went well and all the drivers seem to work well. It seems anytime access to files via windows Explorer, my computer, etc., the indexing of files get corrupted. The system detects corruption and upon reboot it travels the disk repair utilities and deletes several files indexing, that it says are corrupt and the cycle goes round. I disabled the indexing on all partitions file and the problem got better but I still occasionally run the disc scan and correct indexing errors more. Everyone knows about this problem?

  Thanks for the reply on the community forum.

  Have you run any disk hard diagnosis tools that your hardware vendor can provide?  Initially, it sounds like there may be some bad sectors on the disks themselves hard.  If your system is under warranty, you may contact your provider and walk through a test of health with them.  If this is not the case, they have a tool on the site to help you with this.

  Don't forget a RAID 0 provides no redundancy so if any disk fails, without a State of full system / or all of the files you want to back up you are in danger of losing everything.  I want to make sure it is before much more is done, please make a good backup of all the data that you consider to be important for you on this system.

  In addition, if the material is not corrupted.  Check if the table that you created is corrupt.  Errors that you are declaring seem to indicate somewhere in this - table of data or hardware is damaged.  If chkdsk runs and can't find any error then it would be not significant to this procedure, but chkdsk running and to find errors, this is what is worrying.

  After checking if the material and the table are healthy, start in a clean boot state.

After you restart your computer follow these Rummy to run chkdsk.  This should stop the procedure was running and bringing only to run in your previous post.  Run chkdsk until more no error is detected.  Then the run once more to verify it shows always 0 errors.

If you still experience the problem, and all the steps listed above have been verified, run a tool to remove malware and VIRUS SCAN on all partitions in your operating system.  Check that there is no software of thugs on the system.

  I had updated my V11.1.1 smartview just to find out that all the new versions have not been completely works flawless for me, so I decided to downgrade to V11.1.1 again.

• Cannot get Windows Media Center to learn the remote control codes decoder

  I'm trying to put in place my TV card in Windows Media Center in Windows 7.  The card is a Hauppauge HVR 2250, which has a blaster/IR receiver.

  The configuration of the set-top box tells me to point the remote at the receiver and "hold" the number 0.  The problem is that the remote control supplied with the set-top box (Motorola RG2400) is not constantly emits the same IR signal when I press and hold the button - signal IR lasts only about a year and a half seconds before turning off. This does not seem to be sufficiently long for Windows Media Center and never detects the signal.

  Looks like the remote is faulty I recommend you do replace from the cable/satellite for a replacement/repair provider.
