Control desktop PC carrying material by laptop

Hello

I am a rookie with Labview. I made a few smaller programs, but that's all.

I have a few Labview PCI cards here, analog, digital measurement, GPIB and so on. Is it possible to use a normal Windows copputer to "carry" of this material and control everything with a laptop connected by ethernet?

If this is possible, what do need me?

Thank you

ISOTTA

I never took advantage of this feature, but VISA supports sharing devices on a network, so you can be able to use some of your devices remotely in this way.  See

The former NOR-'traditional' taken DAQ driver support a feature called "access remote Device" which would you allow to use a remote DAQ hardware, but as far as I know that it is not supported by the new DAQmx driver and no similar function is available.

    Hello

You must configure the printers to share on the XP computer and install the drivers for the printer as a network printer on other computers using the correct version for each computer.

    To set up sharing system.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . There must be specific users. All means all users who already have an account now as users. This does not mean everyone who feel they would like to connect.

  • How is it, my original keyboard does not work on my desktop, but works on my laptop? And my keyboard works for both laptop and desktop?

    Hello

I have a desktop computer Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with an ASUS M4A87TD EVO motherboard. Recently, I have a problem with my Wired Saitek Eclipse PZ30AU keyboard: when I type, the typical button does not appear on the screen. In other words, the keys are unresponsive. The keyboard is turned on, if the office is enabled/disabled. Even if, at the time, while he was working, the light is always disabled whenever the office is off. I don't know why it is informed, even if the office is off.

My wired mouse usb works fine. I even tried my USB adapter for wireless network in two USB ports, and I still have the signal, so I guess it works very well too. The on-screen keyboard works.
However, I tried to connect the keyboard desktop on my laptop and for some reason, what works. I also tried to use a different keyboard on my desk, and it actually works.
I downloaded the chipset, the driver M4A87TD EVO BIOS 2001 driver and a driver of NEC Electronics Corporation USB 3.0 controller. But first, I had to install the Akamai NetSession Interface. After that I downloaded all three files, I installed the chipset driver and USB driver in uncompressing them, by clicking on each file, by clicking on Setup. For some reason, the BIO 2001 pilot had only a ROM file, so I just deleted total. After installing and restarting the computer, the keyboard does not.
I want to emphasize that, before even manually, download the drivers, I tried using WIndows Update to install all important and recommended updates. After the computer restarts, the guarded keyboard lights flashing on and outside.
    So, I ask two things:
1.) how does my original keyboard does not work on my desktop, but works on my laptop? And my keyboard works for both laptop and desktop?
2.) can I keep I have installed the drivers or uninstall them?
    Thank you.

don't not using elements 11 as the upgrade.

but, you shouldn't need to buy two copies.  If you use, at most, one of the three computers at any time, as long as you turn off one of your 3, you can turn on the other two.

I use a Palm TX and have been timing it (via wifi) with Palm Desktop installed on my laptop for several years, with the help of you all.  I have a new Dell laptop, running Windows 10 and I would do the same thing on this one if possible.  I downloaded and installed Palm Desktop 6.2 for the new laptop and it asks me to synchronize my device.  So I attached the cable (thought I start with this and get the wifi part will later) and press the hotsync button.  The device will attempt to connect, but I get the message "connection could not be established... Any ideas?

I think I have the ability to HotSync via a cable is a good choice.  Aceeca for Vista and W7 and W8 files should work for W10 also.

I also have a file at the beginning of the list of Wifi HotSync.  Go through it and see if you can get it to work with your laptop.

  • I am unable to remote desktop to connect to my laptop

First of all, I looked through all the troubleshooting options on the microsoft page for troubleshooting remote desktop connection. None of these options worked for me. Even turning the firewall for my laptop worked. My laptop can remote access my office perfectly find it's just the reverse does not work.
I think the problem is that I can't put my laptop to allow connections. My laptop home premium windows 7 don't have any remote desktop options in the "remote" of System Properties tab. I'm trying to access remotely to this laptop, but I am unable to probably for that reason. When I go to the Remote tab in system properties, all I see is a box for remote assistance and nothing on it as on my desktop, where it shows remote access options.
Is there any solution for this?

You have read obviously not what I wrote.

I actually did, but obviously, you thought that the respondents have the x-ray vision. "You wrote" ""first of all, I looked through all the troubleshooting options on the microsoft page troubleshooting remote desktop connection ' , but then you did not designate one page you may have consulted.

As long as illustrative, I would say that you did not know that Windows 7 Home Premium machines cannot be the target of a remote desktop session. You need at least the professional version.

I've completely updated CC on desktop computer (Mac) and laptop (MAC)

You have managed to hide in some way.

CTRL-click on one of the headings on the right side and select "Show all" in the context menu.

    no problem, at all.

and Yes, you can install your programs cc on an unlimited number of pc and mac computers.  You can only connect to and use the programs on, at most, two computers at the same time and both computers can be 1pc and 1mac.
