  Please refer to your first forum post for the explanation and the code snippet on how to implement what you're trying to reach. I checked using the sample application 'nowplaying' that the MediaPlayer API setVolume method works as expected. I hope that helps!

  Hello. The short answer is Yes, you have to cross and promote annually to publish before locking (start, present and publish). The year of beginning of gradual submission to use presentations by steps (several approvals by period) only.

  A suggestion: lock only the entities of base level, not the parents. The parents of locking that will prevent the data change when the hierarchy is changed, but if you ever have a change which must be retroactive so all changes are applied in any case. Org by period is better functionality to keep the old hierarchies in place. Do not forget that the accounts of parent and parent's customs are calculated in memory so they do not get locked in place; just the entities.

  I guess that the Toshiba Power Saver has been installed on your laptop and you use this software from Toshiba.

  If you are using Win XP and that the GST is installed, then you can check the configuration of basic settings and you might find the options to control CPU, CPU processing speed and method of cooling.

  It of not possible to control the battery charge using any software.
  The battery will begin to charge if the adapter has been connected to the laptop and it will stop the charge process after the adapter has been disconnected or if the battery is full.

  Hello. The process that I mentioned using Word provided that if we were send emails to the printer from a computer. If you just transfer emails from the iPhone to the printer there is no option to control the position of the jpg print. This isn't something that can be handled right now on ePrint.  The attachment will be printed on a separate page. The body of the email will be printed separately of the spare part.

  As I advised, you should take the free online tutorials. You clearly lacks the basic concepts of LabVIEW, as data flow.

  Things more: in your real applicaton does not use DAQ Assistant, screw Express are generally not optimal for data acquisition. It is safer and better use good DAQmx live. What is the equipment you use? Sampling rate, etc.?

  Why do you need to read data files? For testing? I thought that you will acquire data active, right? In your VI generate you some signals and write in a data file. Is this also for testing?

  There are several constructs in your VI which simply don't make sense.

  So again, I really suggest to go through online Core1-2 teaching material, which is accessible if you are a student, or if you have shared services provider license... It will really help.

  Everything said by others is correct and to do because they describe, at a given time. But I always approached these projects of motion control first by looking at the 'motion controller' (I hope you have a) and 'drivers' (what you need) between the computer/LabVIEW and engines decide what communications will be required for these devices and get an idea of the syntax of command and the language to use with them.  In some cases, the controller and the motor driver are integrated in a single unit. Heck, in some cases, they are even integrated with each engine.

  The motors can be the stepper motors or perhaps servomotors.

  In the case of drivers stepper (devices that provide power electronics to run the engines), many of them are run using only two control signals for digital called 'step' (a pulse train) and 'direction' (high-low level) and if it is possible to generate directly with the PC, it's an order of magnitude easier (if you have not already a library of available motion control to manage the generation of these signals and) the execution of the stepper motors) of having a "Motion Controller" between the PC and the "motor".  Engine drivers step by step usually can be configured that current engine and the size of the stage and sometimes for the other plus-moteur/driver-parameter setting. The configuration of these can be made with jumpers, switches or, for some drivers, with orders ASCII on some sort of port of communication, but in general these are values you download the installer once at the beginning and then never touch again if you do not need generally to have a full time available on their change communication path.

  In the case of the actuator drivers (once again the devices that provide power electronics to run the engines), many use a +/-10V control input analog signal, and, again, while it is possible to generate the signal directly with the PC hardware, a separate axes controller is usually much simpler and more robust.  In the case of a servo system, there is also a signal back to an encoder or resolver attached to the engine to be used by any device will exercise the motion controller in the system.  There are once again associated with the driver configuration parameters (and controller in this case, since it is part of the servo feedback loop) which must be configured at the start but once set up properly, they rarely need to be changed again.

  A movement controller which is separated from the PC often manage several drivers, and can often coordinate a movement between them. It will load the rise up/down of the engine speed as that changes. It will be followed by position of each motor. The servo system, but it will take the feedback signal and use it to adjust the speed/position/torque of the engine. The motion controller also deal with race and home or index of signals is usually on most lines of movement and provide information of the State of the switch to the PC.   To run the motor controller is then just a matter of chaining a set commands of (usually ASCII) to indicate how fast to run and how far to go (and direction) and by sending a command "do it." Then, ask you to keep track of the status of the process and the States of the switches.

  In many cases the builders of controllers of movement are a primitive way to communicate with the controllers of a PC with no additional software other than what they offer. With this you can at least have an idea of how different the controller commands and responses they produce. That you can start to build sequences of commands to perform the actions you want.

  You can then add LabVIEW to the mix and to understand how you can get it to send sequences of similar orders on the paths of communication that are available and respond intelligently to the information it receives in return for motion control.

• Control the order of execution of the init/release

  I have a small program that I write in LabView.  It has an API (one set of screws to wrapping the functions of the DLL to control a device).

  Other such programs in the Gayshop make liberal use of the structures of the sequence.  I understand that the sequence into LabVIEW structures are not usually recommended.  I am writing my program with the best style of LabVIEW (as far as I understand - I'm still a relative novice in LabVIEW).

  I found that I could wire together the error / mistake Terminal to create a data flow to control the order of execution and it works beautifully.

  However, there are some cases where it is not enough.

  Here is an example.  I hope that the answer to this will answer my other questions.  If this is not the case, perhaps that I'll post more.

  One of the first live I call is an Init function.  One of the last screw is the release function.

  The release function must be called at the end, after the rest of the program executed (in this case, it is after the user requests the stop).  It should be naturally at the end (or almost) of the error string in / out connections error (as it is currently).

  However, the error it receives, which will determine whether or not he will run, should be the output of Init.  Release should work even if something else has failed.

  I enclose a photo showing the problem, with most of the code snipped out (as exactly what is happening in the middle is not relevant).

  What is the elegant way to handle this in LabVIEW.  Is it really a deal for a structure of the sequence, or is there a way more pleasant or better?  How would you recommend handling?

  I agree with what pincpanter said, more you will need to use the status of the function 'Init '.

  Note that you can ignore the error and make the merger within the Vi version if you wish.

  I built a vi (adapted from "sequence and save in AVI.vi") to capture images and save them. I can specify the number of images that I am capture, but I can't specify the speed at which images are being captured, since there is no option in «IMAQ Sequence.vi»

  (1) how to find the speed at which my program captures images?

  (2) how can I control the capture rate without having to use writeto AVI function (vi)?

  The reason I can not use the ' sequence and save in AVI.vi "is that it is compatible only with the 8-bit and RGB images, while the device I use produces an image I16. And I can't convert it into 8-bit image, because I can't find the "IMAQ Cast Image.vi" function even after installation of 8,6 VDM (my version of labview 8.6 and IMAQ is 4.0). Vision.txt contains a list of programs OR installed on my machine.

  I use a PCI 1426 framegrabber and Imperix "X2M30HL" camera (specs say that its rate is 33) and I'm running on Windows XP.

  Y at - it an option for me to capture images to rate high (close to offered by the camera) other than its use "IMAQ Sequence.vi.

  I would like to repair or reinstall VDM at this stage.  It is probably a problem with the installation, especially if you have LabVIEW recently upgraded.  Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

• Slow cursor on the login screen; How to control the speed?

  I got a laptop HP Win7.  I don't know much it.

  When I on the connection of the screen (account login), the cursor moves very slowly.

  How can I control the speed of the cursor on the login screen?

  I know that when I log on a user account, I can go to a control panel to control the speed of the cursor.  In fact, I did.

  But apparently, which affects only the current user.

  Thing certain, happy to help you.  Just a quick warning: registry changes can break your PC, so proceed with caution. That being said, it must be a very painless process.  Here's what I suggest.

  1. Create a system restore point.
     Prevention is better than cure and this takes only a second.  Type "restore point" in your Start menu, choose the option "create a restore point. In the box that opens, go ahead and click on create and name it something like 'before you make changes to registry' and save it.
  2. Open the registry editor.
     Press the Windows Logo key and type R to open the run, then run regedit to open the registry editor. Accept the UAC security prompt if you receive one.
  3. Go to your mouse settings.
     Access the mouse of your own user profile settings in the registry. It works a bit like the shirts, then navigate to this path:

     HKEY_Current_User\Control Panel\Mouse

     Once you open this key ("record"), you will see all your settings of the mouse on the right side of the window.

  4. Export your own settings of the mouse to a file
     Right click on the folder of the mouse, choose export and save it to your desktop.  Close the registry editor at this point, we're done with it.
  5. Change the saved file.
     We use this file as a template. Go to your desktop, right-click the file that you saved, and choose Edit. It should open in Notepad.  We will only change the 3rd line in the file.  This is change you can do:

     Old: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse]
     New: [HKEY_USERS\. Default\Control Panel\Mouse]

     After you have made a change to this line, close and save the file.

  6. Import the settings changed in the registry.
     This is the easy part. Simply double-click on this settings file and allow it to import into the registry when prompted.

  This is import your account settings and apply them to the. By DEFAULT, the account used on the logon screen.  Therefore, after you apply these, restart the computer and you should find that the settings are now on the logon screen.

  Please let me know how it goes.

• How to control the volume of the MediaPlayer?

  BB:Multimedia:MediaPlayer has all the features of load, play, pause the music, but I couldn't find anything which could control the volume.

  Of course you can adjust the volume for the whole of the device, but is it possible to adjust the volume for this object?

  It is certainly a valid use case. However, the API of MediaPlayer Qt (QML, Qt/C++), so far, is mainly designed for simple multimedia applications, for audio & video consumption (in local or streaming).

  This feature is currently doable by the low-level C API only; by mmrenderer:

  In other words, if you were to apply to your use case, you would have to implement playback using the C API and wrapper classes to communicate with the user of Cascades UI elements.

  I was wondering if there is an API to toggle the LED "flash". I saw the LED class, but it is not a constant for the flash, just the trackball and the State LEDs.
