• Abnormal activity - a volume control bar appears in the upper-left

  I installed Windows 8 PRO (64-bit), on my Dell laptop (model Inspiron-5520) 05/11/2012.
  For the last 15 days or more, I'm observing some abnormal activity which I do not know if it is due to a virus, malware or some drivers / registry corruption.
  Whenever I open a Windows session (e.g. after reboot or out of the MODE STANDBY), a volume control bar appears in the upper-left corner & it keeps inhibition - reactivate up until I got a hit. This volume control bar is similar to that seen after that now both pressed keys (Fn & Speaker-Mute).
  I took the question to Kaspersky Antivirus, but still it is not fixed. I scanned the whole system of Rescue CD (bootable) of Kaspersky and Avira antivirus also scanned the whole system using Microsoft msert.exe service. But this virus as activity does not stop.
  I have observed that if the WINDOWS AUDIO service is stopped through msconfig, this virus as activity stops. But then speakers & microphone stop working.
  After crossing research on various Web sites on the internet, I found a site that helped me to fix the registry of the Windows Audio service. And it has worked very well; but it lasted only 2-3 reboots. Then after that, it is indeed.

  Volume control you see is normal Win 8...

  He does the things you describe are not...

  I doubt it's apparent virus but... it's very probably an audio driver\program any that is defective...

  Look in the tab Services from msconfig and hide all Microsoft Services and see what remains...

  You can also view the Startup tab of the the Task Manager for a suspect...

  It could be something as simple as a pilot action which was only supposed to run once, but loads with boot every time by a malfunctioning...

  I'm trying to update an older html site by adding a link in the sidebar on Twitter and Facebook. It looks fine in Explorer, but the code is just not in Firefox. It simply is not there. What would be the cause of Firefox to remove two chiclets with a simple link (?)?

• UAC why there are four of them appear in the Explorer?

  I got my computer restored recently due to some problems of UAC.  I created my Admin account and a standard, such user account as recommended.  Even if she drives me crazy.  However, in the Explorer under c:\Users it shows five.  The first two are obviously my connection to two.  Guest is disabled.

  There is always a Public folder in users. You will see that it is a place in your libraries. It contains things like sample of music and videos. It can also be used as a location for the files you want to be accessible to all users.

• Boring meta-data from vcard/hcard/og appear in the HTML preview

  I added some of my professional contact information in the meta tag in the header area, using Page Properties > Meta Data > HTML for the head. Try to cover all the bases, I created hcard and versions OG, but now the hcard Info appears in all custom html code snippets.

  It does not seem to affect what anyone in the final edition of the site, but it is of course embarrassing to see everywhere. It is also mess with the design. What I'm doing wrong, or am I missing something?

  I'm under InDesign CC 20141 Release on a Windows 7 PC.

  In my paper, I define a character style called "product header. I wish that all the elements with this style of character "product header" to appear in my Table of contents.

  However, the Table of contents group wants to determine which paragraph styles to include.

  How can I "connect" my style of character to appear in the Table of contents.

  OK - figured out - I have to use paragraph styles. I swear that this was not the case in a previous version of InDesign.

• The quality between what has been recorded and what appears on the Pro

  I explore the Pro for a few weeks now and I am a new'be complete to this. With the help of forums and all the info on Adobe I'm slowly finding my way around the monster that is the Premier Pro

  This may seem a silly question to ask here go:

  I noticed that the quality in the video when previewed live on my computer "before" I add to Pro is large, clear and as I like it.

  When I add this to Pro, quality is lost a bit, it is less clear, and not as good color... don't get me wrong wrong but not the same thing or as good.

  I slide my clip video from my computer to the project area and as advised before drag it to the new the little icon on the image to create a new sequence.

  From here the quality is not as good. I have not modified settings at this point.

  The devices we use is a Panasonic SC-V110

  Recording format is AVCHD

  Recording mode is HA1920

  As mentioned, what I see on my computer is great, that's when I add the clip to Pro quality is a bit lost.

  I would appreciate any thoughts on what it drives me crazy and I guess that, being new to what I do lot of l.

  I had the same problem after an update of the driver, but he could not figure out until I saw your comment. I use 3 monitors, and I only had this issue when more than one is connected. but of course, disabeling the desktopmanager in the Catalyst Control Panel solved the problem!

  Using programs and features in Control Panel to uninstall the Microsoft Office 2010 software, also to uninstall "Microsoft Application Virtualization Desktop Client", it must remove the drive from Q.

• The duplicate files that appear in the Explorer window

  I am writing a custom plug-in for a CMS.  I have a problem opening the files in Windows Explorer where each child record is listed twice.  However, every child is a folder is listed only once. This happens for any folder in the CMS.

  View the logs files to my plugin, it seems that Windows lists the contents of all folders, then it can show the hierarchy in the navigation pane.  Then when I click on a folder, it re - lists the contents of this folder.  I believe that it is this second call to the GetChildrenHandler which is originally in car show files duplicate since if I turn off the navigation pane and to clear the disk cache, only one instance of each file appears.  Note: I never get more than 2 bodies even if I re - view folders on a newer.

  I based my GetChildrenHandler after the GetChildrenHandler sample.basicftp.  However, I use 16-byte hexadecimal idenitifiers as asset ID instead of paths. I have in my plug-in intensive logging and that you have verified that when I create the recipe update of the file, the active code, active path, parent ID and active are all identical.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I thought about it.  I'm assigning a version 0 for the first version of each asset.  When I started the version numbering at 1, this problem has been resolved.

• DOCX icon appears in the Explorer windows with the limited user account

  In Windows Explorer my Word 2007 .docx files do not display the icon of Word 2007, when I use a limited user account. Always open with Word 2007 have been checked and the icon is listed in the types of files to folder options, and also oddly icon display when I explore the limited user folders while logged in as administrator, but when you are connected to the limited user account Word 2007 just icon is not displayed (the other Office 2007 icons seem ok).

  Hi Tom,

  Create a new profile on the computer and check if the problem persists. If this is not the case, the other profile is corrupt. To create a new user profile, you can see the article mentioned below for the procedure.
