  I am in 2nd year CS design my 1st app for blackberry. I use the code provided by RIM as my starting base.

  My problem is that when I convert a text in a number input using parseInt (foo.text) or (foo.text) Number I have a 0 instead of the number entered by the user. Here is the code I wrote for user input:

  myInput.border = true;
  myInput.x = 140;
  myInput.y = 40;
  myInput.width = 125;
  myInput.height = 20;

  the trace function returns a 0. I also tried this:

  Does anyone know why I get a 0 and what I can do about it? Any advice would be helpful.

  just a follow-up in case you're having trouble, here is a working application that uses the same variables as you did. It is an object TextInput (QNX) and a tag button that click you on to see what the variable text in the TextInput object. When you click on it will trace the value in the debugger:

  I've inserted comments to help you along the way. also, I want that you notice that ActionScript (Adobe AIR) is all based event. Therefore, use events and listeners to get things moving. hope that helps a little more. Good luck!

  I had the same problem.  But finally found a solution.  If your listing is similar to mine, then keep.  XP Media Center Edition 2005 (sp2).  AMD Athlon 64 x 2 Dual-Core, HP a1630n desktop computer.

  Go to the HP website, search for sp37394-XP sp3 Upgrade utility Microsoft for systems equipped with AMD processors.

  I had the same 0 x 80240036, 0x8024400a error, but realize my problem was really get manually downloaded sp3 and installed without continue loop crashing and not error messages.

  From your description, that you don't know do you have actually the license... seems someone gave it to you.  You might have a hard time selling Support from Adobe.   Licenses must be officially transferred through Adobe.

  If you registered with Adobe, the serial number is the Adobe ID and the password that will be used.

  Otherwise, it will work as a giving fully functional 30-day trial you time to find the package.

  If your old product is not on the list, nor is your serial number for it. If you need to reinstall on a new system, and the CS3 upgrade wants a qualification series, it's bad. These series are of a value of $$$ and no registration or registration request in trouble.
