Conversion of scanned 2 - up a PDF file to PDF 1 - up

Please let me know if my question would be more appropriate on another forum. Thank you!

Over the years, I've scanned in some of my old college manual manually two adjacent pages by scanning; that is, 2-up.  After 20 years, I am now back in College getting my master's degree (and perhaps my PhD) and would like to be able to use my old scanned manuals, but would prefer to be displayed and printed in Classic format 1-to the top; for example, 1 page per PDF page scanned.

The process of creating a PDF file in double, a 'same pages' and the other 'odd pages' cropping, printing each to a new 'same' Page PDF and PDF "Odd-Page", respectively and manually assemble their page-by-page is so painfully laborious and tedious, that it drives me crazy!

Does anyone have suggestions for a better process or methodology for achieving my desired outcome?

NOTE: I have access to Acrobat 7.1.4 and 8.3.

Thank you very much

    Hi @GTR3,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to print the PDF scanned documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

You are able to print any other format PDF on the Mac, or the question is just limited to your scanned PDF files? Whether the soft friendly PDF work with - Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader?

In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:

    • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
    • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
    • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
    • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

    Hi jfcobb999,

I'm sorry that you are having problems, file conversion. You convert the web interface, or through Adobe Reader? You have a large number of files in the folder root of your list of files on Acrobat.com?

    Try to start these things:

    • Empty the cache of the browser, and then try again.
    • Use another browser.
    • Make sure the drive is up-to-date by selecting help > check for updates.
    • If you have a large number of files on Acrobat.com, some of them move in a subfolder.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Best,

    Hi AMARsharma,

I can't wait to hear that you have questions.  From the information provided, apparently, that adobe may be updated.  You are able to view other types of file to scan?  Please see the information that can solve the problem below.  If you would like more information about your product, click here.

    1. check and update Adobe reader and flash player

    A. click here to access the Adobe website to check and update to versions current (quick glance on the right side, downloads for flash and reader).  Note: this is a 3rd party site.  HP and I are not responsible for the content or use of this site.

    I hope this helps!

How can I go on the digitization of several pages at a time starting from the document feeder in separate files?

    Hello

Scanning pages multuple to separate files of the feeder can do with your device.

Open the HP software under start > all App > HP > folder for your printer model.

You can simply select Save in JPEG, the result will be a separate file for each page.

In addition, you can select Save in PDF, click on more, and go to the Destination tab.

Click on the drop-file Type and check the "Page" for each scanned page, then press OK and press the Scan button,

  • Scanning multiple pages in the file of an image

Using a printer Office Jet Pro 8600 more, I installed the software and can I print and scan.  However, I am trying to scan a two-sided card family recipes, but the end result is two image files separate (e.g. Pie001 cream and cream Pie002).

I have downloaded and reviewed the online user's Guide, but he doesn't talk Imaging manually double-sided documents (not talking from the charger).

Question: What is the procedure which will allow me to scan a two-sided sheet and save it as an image file?

    Thank you!

    Gman-

What type of file you select when you start the scan, the jpg or pdf?  Jpg files do not support a single image.  If you want to have multi-page documents, select pdf.
