Convert and combine Documents

I have problems with conversion of working documents and PDF files into a single document. I select three documents two of them are some Word Documents and one is a PDF file. I select all three make a right click on it and click on convert and combine documents. All this is done in the file Explorer. Adobe Acrobat opens and starts the conversion process. He opens the first word document and can be saved in PDF format. After that it just hangs. Nothing else and then if you click on the box of combining files it does not.

I tried to do a complete removal of Adobe Acrobat and then reinstall it.

Data sheet:

Windows 7 Pro x 64

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard - product has a valid serial number attached on.

Microsoft Office 2016 x 86.

Hi brandonp54740065,

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 7 system requirements Adobe Acrobat and MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker and compatible web browsers2016. Function may or may not work.

Open Acrobat 9 & try to combine PDFs from Acrobat itself.

Kind regards
Nicos

    Hi @JOGL,

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I understand that computer analysis can not be activated as well as the scan and combine them into a single pdf document. With your printer HP Officejet 7610. I am pleased to see that for you!

At this time for this model. There is no software and drivers for Mac OS X 10.12 again, given that the operating system has just been launched, it could take some time. For the time being, you can try to use HP Easy Scan to see if that can meet your scanning preferences. In otherwise, all we can do is wait for the software and drivers to be released.

  • conversion of old Clarisworks and Appleworks documents

I have old Clarisworks and Appleworks, documents dating back to 2004 are now Unix executable files. How can I access them.  I work currently in Yosemite and that MS Word.

The icon of the "Unix Exécutable" file simply means that OS X doesn't know what app to associate these files, then it will link to the unix shell because the PI is set to their attributes. It doesn't mean they 'changed' as such.

It would have been much easier to migrate these files ages ago: AppleWorks was "killed" by Apple in 2007, and he stopped work on the Lion OS and upward.

It also depends on what type of files you have.

Text documents and spreadsheets stored in AppleWorks 6 should be opened in page numbers and Apple applications, respectively. Before text documents that will probably suffice to be opened in a text editor, such as TextEdit (or the free TextWrangler), and then the cut raw text in the 'noise' that represents the formatting of the AppleWorks. You will be very happy if you can get 5 AppleWorks and ClarisWorks spreadsheets to open in anything - the same for drawings and other types of documents.

Your alternative is to find someone who has a Mac running Snow Leopard, on which they can run AppleWorks 6.2.9, then to open and convert all your documents to other formats. Another option is to use one of the "Classic" Mac emulators, like Sheepshaver, to mimic the environment of Mac OS 9 and run AppleWorks there, then convert all.

Document formats that are not widely used or open standards are prone to become totally useless if you have no application to read. Once an application becomes not supported and requires really old hardware and OS versions, then you must start the migration to a more durable format.

Can I convert an entire folder at a time or I need to convert and save each file in this folder one at a time and then download on my cloud to see my phone as well?

    Hi kezleyp1982,

You can convert files of different format in a folder as PDF by choosing "file > create > create multiple files"

Once converted to PDF format, you can connect to "http://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials and then download all the files to Document cloud at a time (press Ctrl + A to select).

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards

How to convert a word document to pdf format

    Hi dionel33514362,

You can use Acrobat or Adobe PDF Pack to convert Word documents to PDF format.

Adobe PDF Pack is an online service that allows to download files and convert them to PDF via a web interface.

See Acrobat help | Create PDFs with Acrobat for more information on creating PDFs in Acrobat. If you do not have Acrobat, please do not hesitate to give it a try. You can download the free 30 day trial from the Acrobat link that I mentioned above.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • why I don't then convert a word document to pdf with the new program I just just buy "PDF Pack"?

Please help me.  Question of as says my.  I come just to buy a Pack of Adobe PDF pour convert my Word documents into pdf pour send them.  It does not work.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks Lise

    Hi Hi liseb25468237,.

Ah, I see! This isn't a format supported for conversion. But you can 'print' your Word Perfect for PostScript files and then download the PostScript files for conversion to PDF. Please see this document for instructions: PostScript files create | Pack PDF | Windows

(I noticed that the document refers to the CreatePDF Desktop tool at the bottom - this tool has since taken his retirement.) "But the instructions at the top of the document are still valid).

  • Convert scanned PDF documents

I have PDF Pack and I'm trying to convert a scanned document to PDF and ultimately for MS Word.  How this is done?

    Hi George,.

If the end goal is a Word document, I would recommend against converting to PDF format first, if possible a step further. What scanning software work? He recorded in a format that Word can open?

If you do not have access to the scanner software and save to PDF is your only option, then you would use ExportPDF (part of Adobe PDF Pack) to convert PDF Word. (To convert the file to PDF, choose Create a PDF file in the menu bar when you are connected to the Pack PDF to https://cloud.acrobat.com).

  • How to convert a word document to PDF format?

Please teach me step by step on how to convert several Word documents to PDF format?

Is properly installed and updated (depending on the version of WORD), you can simply do the following:

    1. open the doc in WORD and click on print, select the Adobe PDF printer, print.

    2. open the doc in WORD and go to the Acrobat menu in WORD and select Create PDF (this example uses PDF Maker).

    3. open the document in Acrobat and conversion to do based on PDF Maker.
