• Cubes of financiers as ASO?

  One of my clients is planning to convert its BSO cubes to ASO to improve loading and calculation times. Cubes contain financial data and are used to generate financial statements (P & L, balance sheet, cash flow, etc.) for the current and future years. These cubes also hold forecasts given outside actual expenditures, which are responsible for the ERP system.
  
  Now, I am aware of the fundamental differences between the structure of the ASO and BSO cubes - I worked on financial BSO cubes and of simple cubic ASO in the past.
  
  But depending on complexity of financial forecasting applications, this idea of the conversion of BSO ASO feasible and viable? Can do the complex calculations of BSO cube in these cubes managed by MDX in ASO?
  
  Indications will be useful.

  Hello

  We have a similar requirement of our customer. Only calculations that can be converted are the member formulas. If you have a lot of scripts of calculations, it can become very difficult. Also remember that Aso, you can only enter at level 0. So if you non-niveau entries 0 members, you will lose this feature. Under x 11, ASO supports time of balance sheet accounts, so it's a good thing if you have a balance report.

  How can be function @ISMBR be translated MDX for a specific list of members? For example, how can we the BSO (@ISMBR("Jan","Mar","May","Jul","Aug","Oct","Dec")) converted to ASO formula?

  You will use the IS for a single member function and the function CONTAINS several members

• BSO to the conversion of the ASO - helps the formula of Member

  We have a BSO cube and it is converted to ASO. The account dimension has the attribute SOLDETEMPS properties, and therefore the time dimension cannot assign to either dynamic or multiple hierarchies because of which I'm not able to define formulas for Member in the time dimension to ASO, this requires the dimension to be either dynamic or more hierarchies to have member formulas. MDX scripts is the way to go I'm not very familiar with the scripts, MDX and its use. Please advise and also I would like to know if there is another way to solve this problem.

  do not use the properties of balance.

  You will need to take the time to be dynamic, created shared hierarchy similar to

  FOR A YEAR
  Jan shared
  Feb shared
  ......

  Then mark up your TB accounts with udas as TBFirst, TBLast, TBAverage.

  You have two options where you can join the MDX formula of time CDA/QTD or attach the MDX formulas to members of the account saying IIF YTD then make first/last/moy.

  You can choose between the two, if you have less number of accounts of TB, so I would say that set the formula to members as well as other members can obtain the value of CDA Member rolls.

• Query of the ASO

  I migrated cube BSO cube ASO and its formulas as well. Now there is calculation scripts being called in scripts batch during the generation of the OSB. These calculation scripts are just like the formulas only.
  
  Please advise me on
  
  (1) do I need modify these scripts in calculation in the ASO files? If so, how can I call these script files in Scripts of ASO.
  
  (2) is enough aggregation of aggregating the data after you import the data with these scripts in calculation?

  Currently, ASO has not no procedural calc script functionality that is comparable to the BSO calc scripts.

  It depends on what the BSO calc script. If the BSO calc was just aggregation of the cube, then you should be fine. If the calc script is performing any type of logic, then you have to deteremine if these features can be replicated using formulas in MDX member. If it cannot, the application may not be a good candidate for ASO. Not all applications of the OSB can be converted to ASO. It depends on the functional requirements.

• No visible HFM application in classic transformation to Assistant Architect EMP

  Hello, we have 3 applciations HFM and none of them are visible in the classic of transformation for EMP architect window the wizard for me to trnsform for applications of EPMA.

  Currently, all HFM applications are in classic mode and I need to convert them into EPMA, to convert applications do not appear in the list.

• BSO in ASO by EPMA

  I'm looking for a way in which I can copy my plan of HPB BSO to an ESSBASE ASO by EPMA contour. I know there is a wizard in the Console of Regional service, but copied via essbase outline is reflected not in EPMA. If you are looking for a way in which I can get in EPMA made itself.

  No idea why you even don't manage applications of Essbase in EPMA, but couldn't convert you the BSO app to a new application of ASO in EA and then use the transformation EPMA Wizard in the workspace to convert classic EPMA.

• EPMA deployment of the change of name to ASO app, data erasure

  I am a little puzzled by the behavior of my ASO cubes because when I rename a member and deploy via EPMA, associated data member is cleared and I get a message in the log that looks like this:

  The restructuring converted [343163] cell entry and removed the input cells [18]

  
  

  Recover data from smartview on the renowned Member shows that the data has disappeared. The same is not true at my BSOcubes/planning apps. This goes against what I read in the SER60 and various messages in the forums - the ASO very happy movements facing cubes - we miss the 11.1.1.3 version - everyone knows the same thing? Or may be able to point me in the right direction for a work around - for now I export export reloading and editing to work around the problem.

  Is not a defect, any change in an ASO led to the erasure of the cube data. As the calculation of the data and roll (aggregation) arrives in a different way to ASO compared to BSO. You will need to follow the EAS so to preserve data in ASO!

  Studio is a tool of command loading. The Studio deals with renaming is actually to clear the plan

  (remove all members) and then reload all members, which the renamed (for example, D004134_FCL1), the contour.

  So when "clear plan" happens, the link between the cells and the metadata (members) are broken.  Reloading members can reconstruct the link for these cells whose intersection are members (not renamed) reloaded to the outline. But the renowned members will make these cells who still remember the 'original' members to lose the link. Clients need to reload the data each time that they rebuild contour.

• Convert EPMA Essbase in Standalone Essbase

  Hi guys,.

  I'm working on an existing application to Essbase BSO. It seems to be an application of EPMA. But when I'm checking the last deployment status, I could not see anything like that. I could see that created the application date and date last modified. These dates are 2 years back. But business users are adding members and make the restructuring for the past two years to each month. That's why I think that although it is an EPMA Essbase application, it is not synchronized with EPMA and they use it as a standalone application Essbase. Now, I need to do the hourglass for this app Essbase model optimization. But I couldn't do this in EAS console,, as in an application of EPMA. 

  Now if I change the order of the dimensions in the workspace, of course, I need to deploy it.  But if I deploy my application Essbase in EAS so far would be in sync with the obsolete EPMA dimension. Could you please help me to achieve this optimization of hour glass without touching the workspace. It is also possible to convert the EPMA Essbase asks Essbase standalone application.

  Note: The current state of the application of EPMA Essbase is "deployed but lack of shared services.

  But what exactly do you want? you say you want to keep an EPMA application, but you do not want to touch the workspace?

  An Essbase application artifacts of nothing more than its outline, its data, its filters and other. So if you make a copy of your service Regional application, remove the application in the space of work/epma, probably clean up a fair bit in case the app folder and rename your copy app its original name, then you will have a standalone app Essbase.

• HPL 11.1.2.3: How to create application of EPMA planning with database ASO.

  I can't find any option for the creation of ASO database for my application of EPMA new (or existing). This is the option persist? Or only the "Classic" Application work with this new feature?

  Try something like

  You may need to tweak it to calculate a percentage of true

  "WHEREAS" - not by me, perhaps by the development.

  I just tested this with ASOsamp.Sample 11.1.2.2, 11.1.2.3.505 and 11.1.2.4.  In 11.1.2.2, no restructuring only required for a change in binding unique attribute (attributes in views no agg.), 11.1.2.3.505 and 11.1.2.4 than restructuring occurs.  This looks like a change in behaviour (undocumented) for me.
