Convert image format (from 1440 p, 1080 p)

Hi all

I use the trial of first CC (given to make the jump from FCPX). Guides to get started on the adobe site are great, but I'm having problems trying to find an answer to this question:

I shot some footage in 1440 p (by mistake), I edited into a sequence I want, color graded it and put music to it. How do I crop it so that it becomes 1080 p. I used the cropping effect, but when I go to export it to the h.264 format it always exports like 1440 p but with black bars.

Can anyone help? I would be eternally grateful

Chris

1440 has an aspect ratio of 1.33. This should also be in your sequence settings.

1440 can be easily exported to 1080 with aspect ratio of 1.0.

You can also drop 1440 images directly into a 1080 sequence, it will adapt automatically to the screen.

    I use CS4 master suite (first and still)

    Remains with HP PC

    The source is 1440 x 1080, 60i

    I want to convert to serious SD and play on a regular DVD, again using

    I went to Jeff Bellunes Tutoriels (who have been great, I learned a LOT) on the HD - SD conversion... BUT...

    all his examples use HD 1920 x 1080 xx, so...

    I shot some test footage at 1920 x 1080 60i and intervened although its procedure and it worked great... BUT...

    (and that's the problem)

    As noted above, the actual source footage, I NEED to convert was filmed in 1440 x 1080 60i (widescreen)

    I used the same procedure as 1920x1080i Jeffs tutorial, but when I took the result, then out again

    (nothing special yet... just did a simple a word-transformed into a button in the menu, linked the timeline button, related the end action of the calendar back to the menu, then returned to a folder and engraved on a DVD)

    When played on the DVD SD the result low high Squashed crushed another drive... makes everything look small and bigger...

    When I started the project in first, I adapted the source: X.V. 1440x1080i30 (60i anamorphic)

    that, in the first are States in the preset description box:

    I'm in the media encoder,

    Export media

    Choose MPEG2-DVD Format

    NTSC widescreen high quality as a preset

    In the video tab: change the order of the fields to stem

    Bitrate settings changed: Encoding Bitrate VBR 2 pass.

    Change Min.Bitrate to 2.8, flow target flow and 7-8

    make the selected maximum use,

    left on zero multiplexer

    and kept the default audio settings

    then moved on to M2v and associated .wav file

    Here's what I imported as assets in, made to a TS file and burned on a DVD

    I also did a .wmv export by using the windows media format / NTSC widescreen to download high quality preset

    for a file to load up on youtube... and it seems well... no crash and the quality is very good.

    () http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mK9n7zjXMS8 ( )

    the settings in the tutorial do not work for 1440x1080i? Like I said before, when I used the images of test 1920x1080i, he played on the DVD SD player perfectly with GREAT quality...

    Please any help would be greatly appreciated... hope I'm not on for more details...

    I really need to get these images converted...

    What setting did you use for the format of pixels?  Did you leave it by default?

    What your DVD player?  What you set as the display format (Normal, wide screen, stretching, etc.)?  What type of TV?  You have a big screen HDTV or a standard 4:3 CRT?  The settings in the DVD player matches the type of TV?

    Finally, when you import the M2V file in en, in interpreting it correctly, IOW, it appears correctly in the preview yet?

  • Using PDF as image format

    Hi, manage users

    What is your opinion on the use of the graphics with PDF format when creating DITA content, as I'm not sure that a PDF is supported as the graphic format in DITA?

    Reason for this is that I'm moving from using grapics with format (exported from cad) WMF to SVG, but I experienced some problems when you import graphics with SVG format in FrameMaker.

    Sometimes it works, but not always, for example "the filter has encountered a problem and was able to complete the translation.

    Also, I tried to check if the files are valid with the W3C online validator.

    Best regards

    Ronny

    Hi Ronny,.

    I'm not an expert of DITA, but given that no one has replied yet, I'll try to add a little something.

    I don't think that DITA cares about image format, but could your tool for creating and editing platforms. For example, FrameMaker can make a PDF file that you create, but I do not know if another XML editor would be like oxygen. Then for the publication, some formats may make a PDF (as another PDF) format, but a web browser could not (for HTML). Perhaps cares DITA or maybe the OT Toolkit can automatically convert image formats, but I'm not aware that one of these are true. An expert of DITA weigh.

    About importing SVG, I also had problems with the import filter. I don't know if there is no response to this. I think FrameMaker SVG support is not very good. I tend to use WMF files because they are much more reliable, but still they cannot be rendered in a browser for my HTML output. So, I actually maintain the WMF PNG versions and all my vector art. I automation to manage this (macros) in Visio, conversion extension file when editing HTML, etc., so the overhead is small enough for me. This may not be the case with you, if. Overall, I think the real question is the problematic SVG support, which I don't believe you can do anything.

  • convert images

    Hello

    I want to convert image format jpeg bmp .is there a way to convert jpeg to bmp.

    Unfortunately no, the BMP format should be relatively simple, so make a writer shouldn't be hard. Just know that an EncodedImage returns an encoded image. a Bitmap returns the color of raw RGB/A information.

    A good explanation of the BMP format is actually on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMP_file_format

  • Need help to convert an Image Format in forms...

    So Ive worked with Flash Pro CS5 and it seems that I can't get right with image formats conversion

    in symbols of form. A few days ago I convert it correctly, but now I don't remember exactly how

    I did it lol.

    What Im trying to convert an image into a symbol of the form, and then in a format of .gls. When I import

    the symbol of work in my SoThink Flash form it show up under the stage, but now I can't recreate

    a work as it stands as an empty image.

    Ive looked and read a few tutorials but Im confused on what order I should do the steps in

    conversion of an image into a symbol.

    ID appreciate the help if possible, thank you...

    BTW... If theres an easy way to convert an image into a .gls shaped I'd like to hear it as well

    When you import a bitmap into flash, it's a bitmap in flash.  That is to say, no need for conversion.

    If you then want to create a vector of your bitmap image, add it to the scene, click on it to select it, then click on change/bitmap/trace bitmap.  Choose your settings, and then click ok.  on stage, you will have a vector.  You can then convert this vector a symbol (movieclip, button or graphic).

  • The callback API viewfinder camera image format

    Hello

    I try to set the frame type in the viewfinder_callback be RGB888 so that I can perform a basic treatment. However, in the code below, camera_set_photovf_property returns EINVAL for each outside NV12 format.

    err = camera_set_photovf_property( handle, CAMERA_IMGPROP_FORMAT, CAMERA_FRAMETYPE_RGB888);

        if(err != CAMERA_EOK)
        {
            fprintf(stderr, "Unable to set property. Error: %d %d\n", err, EINVAL);
    }

    The frame types are limited to NV12 or I do something wrong?

    Thank you

    Andy

    You can search the available frame types from camera_get_photovf_frame_types() and other similar functions:

    http://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/reference/BB10/com.QNX.doc.camera.lib_ref/topic/camera_get_ph...

    NV12 is the only format supported for the viewfinder of the photo currently however.  If you need RGB, you need to convert the image format yourself or use the video viewfinder.  If you need be able to capture good photos, you will need to stick with the vf photo.

    What type of treatment do you need to do?

  • How can I combine a 16 x 9 aspect ratio and progressive settings on the rendering of 1440 x 1080?

    In the first CC made a project with 1440 x 1080 results images in a video "hurry" on the sides. Change the siza of pixels "hurry" even more. THEN, by clicking on the button Source of Match have solved the problem, but since the images with the superior was initially video rendering is also superior first, but I want to do it's progressive, and as soon as I chose progressive I get "hurry" videos made once again. How can I get a life normal 16:9 result of rendering AND make progressive at the same time?

    You have two options:

    • CHANGE in the sequence of 1440 x 1080 to match sequences, and when you export option 1080 29.97 p (1920 x 1080) chose and he gets then deinterlace
    • CHANGE in 1920x1080i sequence, and again, deinterlacing happens when exporting to the 1080 p format

    If you want to edit in 1920 x 1080, not even mess with the creation of a custom sequence setting. Simply choose "AVCHD > 1080i > 1080i30 (60i) AVCHD. Note that I didn't use a sequence of 1080 p - this is probably why you see the lines. Change 1080i as 1080i (if 1440 x 1080 or 1920 x 1080), do not fall in sequence 1080 p 1080i clips!

    I've been editing HDV for many years and no problem suite above workflows. Edit 1080i and 1080 p for export and it looks great. Never export in 1440 x 1080. Follow these steps and you will have no problems with lines or proportions.

  • Best image format for InDesign CC

    I wonder what is the best image format to use when you place images in InDesign CC - I have followed the Simple Train video tutorials (which I think are excellent) and note that the images in their layouts are JPEG files.  I'm old-school design for print graphic designer, so I always thought TIFF would be better, can also place RAW images?

    Thanks for any help

    EPS does not support transparency or color management. The effects are raster images in many cases. To ensure high quality use HAVE or PDF/X-4.

    I forgot to mention another matter:

    • If you place a layout in a different layout, place an INDD or PDF/X-4 file. (Always ask for PDF/X-4 If you want to use in InDesign.)

  • convert date format period

    Hi all

    Here are my existing query which I run another tool to extract data from oracle-

    Select * from transactionTbl

    WHERE

    DATE > = TO_DATE (' $(vAppStartDate)', "DD/MM/YYYY")

    AND DATE < = TO_DATE (' $(vAppEndDate)', "DD/MM/YYYY")

    variables-

    -vAppStartDate = 06/01/2014

    -vAppEndDate = 30/06/2015

    Rather than use the Date column in the WHERE condition, I want to use PeriodID of column existing in the same table, to make the query faster.

    The period column is in below format.

    PeriodID format-> 201294 //means 2012Q 4. So 9 means Q

    Since I'm on variables, the values are always to the date format, so my requirement is first change variable date from periods of format.

    I wrote the pseudo-code, because I of course know how to convert date format periodID. Q also means in the periodID 9.

    Select * from transactionTbl

    WHERE

    PeriodID > = period_function (TO_DATE (July 1, 14 ',' DD/MM/YYYY '), 'YYYYxx')

    AND PeriodID > = period_function (TO_DATE (July 1, 15 ',' DD/MM/YYYY '), 'YYYYxx')

    Please help me with the query.

    Thank you!

    Calling a user-defined function is likely to slow down your query.

    What's the problem with just using regular date formatting strings for example

    SQL > select to_char (to_date('15/09/2014','DD/MM/YYYY'), 'YYYY "9" Q') of double;
    TO_CHA
    ------
    201493

    1 selected line.

    Hello

    Yes, you should check the extension on the valuechange of your input like this file: -.

    String extension =  upload.getFilename();
                            if (extension.lastIndexOf(".") > 0) {

                                    inputfilecontrol.resetValue();
                                    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(inputfilecontrol);
                                    jsfUtils.addFacesErrorMessage(jsfUtils.getValFrmRsrcBndleConnections("ERROR_MESSAGE_UPLOAD_FILE"));

  • convert images in virtual copies in a collection

    When you create collections in LR5 + you create a pointer to the master file. If you make changes to the images in a collection you change the master. To avoid this you can convert images in a collection to a virtual copies that will be virtual copy

    I don't know if it was a question? In case, it was...

    You can not turn directly copy (convert) an image inside a Collection, in a virtual. A master or a virtual copy (or both) can be added to a collection. There is a 'switch' master status command and copy a version of the given image - but if you have done such an image inside of a Collection version, you also would do the same for the image version outside of the Collection, as well.

    If master images have been added to a Collection, it is possible to make virtual copies of those - then that, if this is done by working 'inside' collection, will result in membership (a little) this special collection, can be inherited by the new virtual copies. Images of masters could then be removed from the collection, leaving only copies. These copies would of course also be considered, alongside their masters, when the relevant image file was seen.

    As part of creating a new Collection, there is an option to add the images highlighted. Beneath this, is an option for this have to happen in the form of new virtual copies - rather than add the masters of these images to the Collection. Was it that you were talking to the OP?
