Convert Windows reg file to the Thinapp project format

Is there a utility to do this?

Yes, such utility convert registry was created by FarCry3r seven years ago, but still works OK with some limitations. Binary data often looks like this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Your program]

"Data" = hex: ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00,------.

FF, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, ff, 00,------.

FF, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00

For good convertion of registry ThinApp format, you must open regfile in any text editor and replace all the "------" like this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Your program]

"Data" = hex: ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff, 00, ff, ff, ff 00, ff, ff, ff, 00

I need to convert a MS Word document to PDF/a.. I use the Acrobat plugin, with preferences set to ensure compliance with the PDF/A standard (conformity to the PDF/A format is an absolute requirement here). My Word document contains several hyperlinks to pdf documents. When I tried to convert the document to PDF/A format, all hyperlinks to pdf files that I had in my word document have been lost.

How can I convert my Word document into a PDF/A compliant file AND have deferred hypertext links as well?

ISO / a identifies that reference external content (aka 'links') are prohibited.

Mark this process PDF/A has no way to differentiate between 'external' to 'internal' - so, all links go away.

Anyway, you said that the Word links are a flavor of 'external '.

    PDF/A does not like.

  • Saving audio settings of Windows Movie Maker in the film project file

I understand how to adjust the volume of my audio track, but when I save the file, in the sound adjustments are not saved.  Is there an extra step in the audio recording?

    Hi Gmamma,

Try the two methods mentioned below if you don't him have not yet tried and check if it works.

    Method 1

The audio settings by default in Windows Movie Maker is for the audio portion of imported video and any narration or music that you add to play at an equal level, but you can change that setting if it does not give you the balance that you want. To adjust the audio levels, follow these steps:

    (a) click Tools, and then click Audio levels.

    (b) do one of the following:

to increase the level of audio on the Audio track that is part of a video clip, drag the slider toward Audio from video.

II. to increase the level of audio that is located on the audio / music, drag the slider to Audio / Music.

    (c) click on close.

    Method 2

Adjust the volume of each audio clip individually, as follows:

    1. on the track Audio or Audio / Music of the timeline, select the audio clip that you want to adjust the volume.

    2. click on Clip, point to Audio, and then click Volume.

    3. to adjust the volume, do one of the following:

    ·        To reduce the volume, drag the Audio volume level slider to the left.

    ·        To increase the volume, drag the Audio volume level slider to the right.

    ·        To cut the video, select the Mute clip check box.

    ·        To restore the volume to the original volume, click reset.

  • Copy the files from the thinapp stream

Is it possible to copy files from a stream thinapp on a local file system?  If Yes, what is the best way to do it?  Thanks in advance for your help.

I wrote a vb script for those who copy "FolderA" % programfilesdir % to C:\. This script will be called when the ThinApp is started for the first time.

Download the attached script and change the name of the appropriate folder and copy it into the project folder (where the package.ini). Now rebulild the ThinApp by running build.bat and run.

You should see that the %programfilesdir%\FolderA is now copied in C:\

  • Missing files in the pod project manager

Yesterday I installed RH8 HTML on my new Win 7 computer.  I then copied all my files associated with a specific project over my old Win XP machine.  When I use Windows Explorer to look at a list of all .htm files, I copied, they are all there.  However, when I open the project in RH8 on my new computer and display a list of the .htm files that are in a particular folder in the project manager pod, some of the .htm files are missing.  Curiously, if I open the table of contents for the project and click a topic that refers to one of the 'missing' files, RH8 opens the file and I can modify it in the usual way.  To me, that indicates that the file is really where it is supposed to be and RH8 can find it.  However, the file name is absent the pod project manager.  In addition, when I want to insert a hyperlink, the file name is missing from the list of .htm files, which I can link.  It is a problem, obviously.

I should note that HR on my old computer is version 8.0.1.204 and HR on my new computer is 8.0.0.203.  Hard to believe that would be the issue, but thought I should mention it.  In addition, files that are not have similar names to files that are not.  For example, reportCheckDataMailmerge is absent, but the reportCheckDataMailmergeSee is not.

I would be grateful for all the suggested fixes.

    Hello

Try clicking on the view menu. You should see the option there. First of all, make sure that the pod project manager has the focus.

    See you soon... Rick

  • How to save external files in the logical project?

Didn't know how to phrase the question. Here's the question. Ex: someone sent me an audio file to add to my project of logic and I have it drag my desktop and everything is all fine and good. I save the project, and then proceed to remove the audio file from my office. I then go back to open my logical project and it says that it cannot find the file. In Garageband, once I recorded an audio file project, it is always there even if I deleted it from my office. But in the logic, it does not do this. Is it sort of permanently save/integrate a file in a project of logic, so that I can remove from my desk and there not try to pick him up every time at the opening?

    Hello

You must have the logic to copy the files:

For new projects, use file > save and make sure that "Copy the following files to your project" is enabled for audio files.

For existing projects, or file > save as, then check the same box

    or

File > project settings > active

I have a desktop pc with 2 internal hard drives.  A hard drive has the BONE and the second hard disk is a separate partition.  (I do not combine hard drives using RAID.)  If I upgrade Vista to Windows 7, the upgrade will be to reformat hard disks or just a hard drive with the operating system?  Should I remove the second hard disk of the computer just to be sure?  The second hard drive must be reformatted for use with Windows 7?

  • Why are all my folders/files in the same display format? Win. 7

A few days ago I had some folders/files in the "Détails" view, then I could get into this folder and the files/folders would be to "large icons". For some reason, all my folders/files turned to mode «Détails» If I changed the view of the "Large icons" folder, it would change just return to the 'Details' when I returned to the folder. I changed it if all folders/files are now to "Large icons", but it was so much easier having separate folders contain separate views. How can I return it to that?

I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

This article basically talks about about how take a point of view and copy to other folders, but it also explains how to do the opposite.  This also explains why the libraries do not allow this (which means that you can never have seen separate if you go to a library).

  • Change the default format for burning discs of this system active files in the ISO image format

How can I change the default format for burning discs of this system of active files to ISO image format?  I don't want the active file as the default system and really don't want to have to choose what I want to use the default every time.  It's boring. I have Vista x 64 on my computer and have not yet adapted to all the changes in XP.

Thanks, but it's not useful.  It is more that an 'improvement' Microsoft did that, as I fear, is a total and far failure to be an improvement.  It also means that I'll just use a 3rd party program to burn all my CD/DVDs.  You know if I wanted to be able to remove, reformat, etc.. CD/DVD I would use those rewritable.  That's why they exist.
