Converter 5 not ESX ESX?

I'm under Converter Standalone 5.0.0 build 470252.  I have an ESX5 single server with a Windows Server 2003 virtual computer.  I try to convert the virtual of ESX5 machine right on the same server of ESX5.  So I'm duplicating / copying just the VM to a differnet name.  Is this possible?  When I try it fails Converter 1% with "FAILURE: an error occurred during conversion: operation expererienced a network error.  The network is fine.

Any ideas?  Is this supposed to be possible?

It's really strange. Certainly, the log shows errors on the network. It's a problem of the ESX host or... I don't know, a network problem which appears from time to time. A couple of wild guesses

1. try to disable SSL encryption on data traffic - look at http://communities.vmware.com/thread/333786 for details how.

2. is there a chance for a conflict of IP address of your network?

    Well well just in case someone found this one in the future, the question turns out to be that my PC has been joined to a domain, but I was connected to a local account. I solved the problem by leaving the field. There may be other ways to work around this problem.

  • Why my converter is not called

    Questions of the converter are not always fun. have you tried to install the msi covertor manually in the box to be converted and tried it this way?

    BTW I don't understand what you mean by creating a virtual machine for backup on a different host? Converter is not really designed for backup...

    Hello everyone,

    I installed Vmware Converter 4.0 (linux version) on Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit and the converter does not launch. I restarted the system still get the same results. I uninstalled Vmware workstation and converter and reinstalled the two components and converter still fails to launch. Someone there met by the same questions? I use both apps on a Dell Precision T7400, 64-bit system. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    You have packages to execute binary 32 bits on your 64 bit system. Binary converter are all 32 bits, so you'll need them to be able to run the converter.

    On Ubuntu, try "apt - get install ia32-libs" to install the package.

    Hello everyone this is my first post!

    I am currently running Ubuntu 8.10 (x86_64) and Converter 4.0 installation has been completed successfully. I'm running into a problem when running command "vmware-converter-client", I get the following error...

    exec: 206: / usr/lib/vmware-vcenter-converter-standalone/converter-gui: not found

    I searched the forum but I can't seem to find anything that refers to this specific error. I've seen other posts that do not include this error, but are usually accompanied by a missing library etc...

    I even tried to run the executable files in the directory/var/lib/vmware-vmware-vcenter-converter-standalone directly, but then, I get the following errors...

    The files are obviousely there!

    Alguem aqui ja ouviu speak as a nao aconselha one of com but 1 TB LUN Criação Vmware? I have a client that comprou um Equalogic Dell com but of 6 TB of Espaço, o client possui 04 para servidores Vmware ESX 3.5, ele quer criar uma 2 TB LUN than estes servidores is conectem nesta LUN e assim no client o futuro possa ativar a funcionalidade HA Vmotion, no momento ele nao tem vCenter Server para isso com.

    Só Qué, um especialista da Dell infrormou that one of corn nao aconselha criar LUN com 1 TB, mas o Vmware client não soube me explain qual a Razão pelo especialista informed da Dell, o mesmo aconselha client o scream 4 LUNS of 500 GB com todos os servidores enxergando estas LUNS, ao investment of uma so 1 TB...

    Alguem sabe say that desta as por aqui da Dell? Any Limitacao are no Vmware than impeca an order of large LUN?

  • iPhoto events?  I want to CONVERT but NOT Album... possible?

    I update for Mac OS and I have a folder called events iPhoto in Photos with 1400 events, mainly just some simple pictures.  I've read some threads here that explain how to convert in Albums, but I don't like albums that I already have my albums put in place.  I want just the missing file (my OCD)... without losing the photos.  Or are these copies and I just delete?  And suggestions or help is appreciated.

    Those who already are the albums - when you migrate an iPHoto library your iPhoto events are converted to photo albums and stored in a folder 'iPHoto events' names - that are not options, that's what happened when you migrated - How Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

    Now you can manage the albums as you like - combining them, deleting them, placing them in different or ignorant folders

    and like all the pictures, they are simply a way to view photos - they are not a place or duplicates but simply a view of photos in your library

  • Files converted to not Clip Multicam

    Hello

    I asked the question last night: Convert MTS to Apple ProRes 422 HQ in compressor

    Thank you for all your help and advice. However, I have a new problem.

    I used EditReady to convert my MTS to H.264 files for editing. As I said, conversion of files to the Apple ProRes format makes each file about 8 times larger than the already huge MTS files.

    The issue I'm having is that I can't use the current H.264 file for editing multicamera format. My Angle Viewer is ready, but when I create a new multicam clip (in my case, using only 2 angles) only showed one of the angles. If I double click on the item in the editing multicam, I always get only one angle. It's like FCP ignores the second clip.

    I tried convert the file and even tried to work in another project, but I keep getting the same results. Am I missing something simple?

    The good news is the conversion of files resolved a problem earlier, I had audio popping on the file.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    How do you synchronize clips? Do you have numbered angle to the clips so that the application knows what they '; Re not the same 'camera '. If you use media convert, they will have camera metadata identical so FCP guess they are from the same source and not separate sources.

  • Burning a CD of songs to convert, but not actually burn to CD.

    I've tried about 7 different times burn a CD and whenever it says to check the CD for damage or change of manufactures of the blank CD I've done both and none of them does not seem to work. I also tried to change the speed of writing to see if it works, but always the same result. Any ideas?

    Have what burning software you used? You burn with windows burning option?
    I m you know Nero, this application is very nice and is supported by an audio file, convert and burn.

    You write nothing on you laptop or car.
    Perhaps you know that not all formats are compatible.
    Did you check your user manual?
    There you should find a list of compatible media and an index with support of the CD and the DVD.

    The error message says it all:
    check the CD for damage or change to manufacturing of blank CD

    So do it.

    This article will try to explain how to connect your wireless devices, including printers, to a wireless network when you are away from home.  The problem when you're in a hotel, motel, room student or other areas is your computer connects fine, but your wireless printer, you have brought with you, has connection/security problems.  Other people/wireless devices can find the printer on an open network, connect you to the printer and start printing without reason just because 'they can do. "

    You'll need is a small wireless travel router.  TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N Nano router or other router of trip is all you need.  The WR702N is available on eBay or Amazon for only $21.00, that's right, only $ 21.

    This device does not support the authentication of company systems because it cannot meet any username and password prompts these system as your computer can.  However, it will connect to a standard WPA SSID and your computer, but if you receive a browser for other questions page redirect, it won't work.

    It's a small powerful travel router which built in 5 modes of operation (more than your home router can do):

    1. AP mode
    2. Client mode
    3. Repeater mode
    4. Router mode
    5. Bridge mode

    I won't go into the details on how to configure these modes in the TP Link router Nano as the manual does a great job.  One thing you must remember is that you must assign a static IP address on your wired Ethernet connection of computers to access the Web interface internal of the Nano.  The Nano is configured with an Ethernet cable at any time.  It's security that the router that has DHCP disabled so if you connect to a network, you won't crash it with an IP address conflict.  The Nano is powered by a USB cable and comes with a USB AC adapter too.

    The IP address of the Nano is default 192.168.0.254.  Set your computers Ethernet Port, adapter not wireless, a static IP 192.168.0.1, 255.255.255.0 DNS address.  You have to find a way to do it yourself, but it is explained in the manual and on the web for the operating system of your computer.

    This leaves your wired Ethernet connection to a static IP address and your adapter wireless DHCP.  Don't forget to put your wired to DHCP if you need to use it later for a wired connection.  Connect the Ethernet cable from your computer to the router Nano.

    Set up your browser by going to 192.168.0.254 (Nano IP address) in the address bar and you'll get the username and password login screen.  The default username and password is admin/admin, you can change it if necessary.

    Set the Nano bridged mode:

    Other modes will be mentioned later but for now; Bridge mode will serve as this isolates and creates your own SSID private the hotel/motel/dorm room open wireless network SSID.  In Bridge Mode you entrance and connect to the Rangoon SSID (paraphrasing) AND set up your own small network with your own SSID and password.  Your SSID will be separated and protected through WPA2-AES security that you set up.   You will be able to go online normally fine, but all of your devices will now connect to your private SSID.

    Example:

    Hotel SSID: HILTON Hotel Paraphrase and password: GUEST

    Nano SSID: MYNETWORK Nano Paraphrase/password: HP5514

    With this information, the rest is easy.  You set your SSID private and password first, they you must find and connect to the SSID and password hotels.  Simply click on the SURVEY button and a list of all available networks will be displayed along with their MAC addresses.  Find the network SSID, you want to connect (bridge) too and click on "connect".  Information is entered automatically.  I suggest that you also edit your channel wireless on a fixed channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.

    Save your settings and you will be told to restart the router.  Follow the instructions and always restart the router after any changes take effect.  This Nano restarts in 20 seconds approximately.

    Now on your computer when you scan available networks, you will see MYNETWORK.  Connect your computer to the SSID and enter your HP5514 password and you're on!  Start surfing or something else.

    Now, what about your printer?  The printer must be set to DHCP and assuming that you have a printer wireless with front panel:

    1. Go to (Assistant) wireless configuration screen.
    2. Search for available networks.
    3. Select: MYNETWORK
    4. Enter your password: HP5514
    5. To connect!

    In about 15 seconds, you're connected!   Oh, guess what?  The Nano has a WAN/LAN port and in Bridge mode, it is a LAN port that is connected to your network too!  Then plug into a printer/computer Ethernet cable, if you wish.

    Your printer will work as usual with no change at all.  I set up in my house to test and it connected perfectly to my HP5514 wireless printer.  All the tools, diagnostics, printer functions, alerts of ink were normal.

    You're done!

    The bottom can be used anywhere to create a local private network so that you and others can use your printer.

    Now, what about the changes?  If at home, you can use the Nano in Repeater mode to connect to your own network and extend the reach of all devices.  Even as the Bridge mode, but you're on your network using your SSID and the word normal, so everyone can use the printer.

    Don't worry what you heard with speed of execution of a router in Repeater Mode.  Most routers House when running in wireless Repeater mode should be set to no encryption or WEP only.  Here max speed is 54 Mbps.  This Nano turns at full speed of 150 Mbps in these modes, using the highest security WPA2-AES (personal).

    Remember that the size is small, so it's good to perhaps more than 50 feet.  HD video streaming was impeccable and surf watch video at the same time was perfect.

    I hope this help you when business or vacation.  Some hotels charge for EACH device connection.  With the implementation above, it takes only a charge for multiple devices, such as cell phones, iPads, light fires, computers or anything else you want to connect.

    EDIT - do not forget that this Nano device has an Ethernet connection that once configured, you can use to connect a wired computer or wired Ethernet printer.  It is a good radio your printer wireless doesn't have to convert a wired Ethernet wireless printer or if you want your printer to support greater security WPA2 wireless.

  • Media Converter will not add no videos

    I've got an 8 Gig Fuze +. I also have three videos about 700 MB each. I have about 2.5 GB on my drive.

    I tried to add through the Sansa Media Converter. Went to the first, the second and the third did not. I tried the second and third again. Nope. In the second place only. Third party only. Double nope. Try again. Nope, once again. No reasons listed for why they do not.

    No idea why?

    SMC has always been problematic. With the Fuze +, you are not limited to a good program. I would try a different video conversion program. Plug the video/requirements are here.

    I have not heard someone using Video4fuze with the rocket + yet, but there apparently fine with the original "rocket". You could try.

Maybe you are looking for
