Coordinated understanding of spaces

I'm a little lost on the interaction of different spaces coordinated in flex.  I have a two objects, the second object is on the right and at the bottom of the first object.  I want to create a moving event that moves the first object just above the second, essentially centered on it.   Of what I read, I thought this would be pretty simple - and here's the method I came up with:

var Object1Point:Point = new Point (Object1.x, Object1.y);

var Object1Global:Point = Object1.localToGlobal (Object1Point);

var Object2Global:Point is Object2.localToGlobal (new Point (Object2.x, Object2.y));.

var Object2CenterGlobal:Point = new Point (Object2Global.x + (Object2.width/2),Object2Global.y + (Object2.height/2));

var move: Move = new Move();

move.target = selectedRam;

move.duration = 1000;

move.xBy = Math.abs (Object2Global.x - Object1Global.x);

move.play ();

It puts the object far more right than what it should be - so clearly, that I do not understand how these areas interact.  Any suggestions on how to make the link between these two areas would be appreciated.

var Object1Point:Point = new Point (0,0).

The x, y of a component is its position compared to its parent.

  • Understand disk space when creating VM

    Hi all

    I want to create a virtual disk that has enough space for me to install some software that requires at least 15 GB of space. I started by choosing the default values for the virtual disc etc. type as and chose 20 GB. When I open a terminal session, I don't see the 20 GB of space, but something more along 10 GB. I think vmware allocates or pushes the disc up to the 20 GB, but the software I install requires that space be available for installation and makes a space check and will not let me progress.

    I'm new to vmware fusion and vmware so forgive me if the answer is obvious, or I'm doing something wrong.

    I want to install the redhat version 5.4

    Also, I would like to have multiple media and install my 3rd party software for a new mount, not / where space seems to go (again - I could be wrong here)

    Thanks in advance!

  • Space filling without reason for memory/hard disk

    I am working with a large file MS Word (currently, it is great close to 1 GB) and every time I use the file or open it in preview, my computer crashes, slows down, and the amount of disk space hard be used rapidly decreases.  I started with 10 + GB of free space, now I'm less than 2 and get the computer error messages telling me that my hard drive is almost full.  I do not know how to find the files that are clearly in place so I can delete them.  Display hidden files did not reveal anything.  It got to the point where I can open is no longer the large file the computer tells me that the file is damaged.  Reboot does not restore the lack of available disk space.  I am at my wit's end and that you have already removed many other video files and photo I can to free up space.  If not for this problem, I'm sure I'd have at least 20 GB of free space now.  What I can do to understand where space and eliminate permanently?  I need at least another hour to continue working on this issue!

    Starting with the system will create a swap file at least as large as the file being opened. If changes are made then these files will usually stick around as auto-enregistre until the file itself is saved or closed. It is also possible that the large file pushes the other system processes in virtual memory on the disk. That said, unless there are compression/decompression funky stuff going on that I can't imagine a 1 GB file to consume more than 10 GB in "temporary" resources

    I would like to check the status of the Application ~/Library/Caches/ and ~/Library/Saved / for the missing hard drive space (you may need to use the GoTo option in the Finder).

    Usually nothing deleted in the above locations will be automatically recreated when you next run of the corresponding application, but clearing out rarely used application files could release (temporarily) a little extra space. Destruction can also solve problems of application-specific file corruption.

    Otherwise double check that you remembered to empty the trash.

  • ALTER TABLE RETRACTABLE and DELETE are same as far as space is concerned. Right?

    DB version: 11.2.0.4

    OS: Oracle Linux 6.5

    In my shop, we want to do a data cleanup (purge) so that we don't have to buy additional storage.

    As far as I know, that when you can do a manual resizing of the data file, you can release space back to the system of files/Diskgroup.

    SHRINK and DELETE free space for the data file, but it will create empty blocks for future insertions/changes.

    Imagine a tablespace with a single file data (32GB) and 1 single segment. This segment can be created anywhere in a data file. In this 32 GB datafile oracle may place this segment in the 25 GB. So even if the total space used in the data file is 10 MB, you can resize only to 25 GB!  The solution for this is to move the debate and then run an ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE... RESIZE the control.

    But this 'moving segment' approach is not practical when want to deal with a lot of data with a lot of segments in her files.

    Back to my original question about SHRINK and DELETE; If SHRINK and DELETE can free space in a data file, there is virtually no difference between SHRINK and REMOVE what little space is. Right?

    Thus, the only advantage of SHRINK on delete, I can think of is that SHRINK will lower the HWM to the level of the segment so that Oracle does not have to scan all blocks (a lot of blocks empty sometimes) under the HWM of the segment.

    My assumptions are correct?

    I see no link between SHRINK and REMOVE.

    However, your understanding of SPACE SHRINK is defective. Unless you explicitly use the COMPACT clause, a therapist will indeed free degrees and therefore make space available in the data file.

  • What is the point of the name space in the metadata?

    I understand naming space, but I'm curious to know why there are within the metadata?

    If I run getMetaData on the rootItems.children and return those metadata back and examine it, there are namespaces in the dat file

    I'm curious, because I can't understand the purpose it serves in this context.

    Also, why are nested namespaces? I converted it to XML to JSON for readability.

  • Free space capacity, put into service,

    Hello

    I know that this has also been discussed in other threads, but still things are not clear to me.

    I store data with space set aside almost two times more capacity and about 30 GB of free.

    I understand that space put into service can be more if I have a provisioning, but this isn't the case. Thick, all my machines are put into service.
    The next thing are snapshots. I have pictures so probably that's why I put into service space more than my abilities.

    What don't get me, is how I still get free space... I mean that snapshots take up real space. If I have a 50 GB HD a snapshot 1 50 GB is created. So, normally, in my opinion, I would actually have 100 GB of storage used and a - Let's say - 60 GB datastore which means I have no available space...

    I miss something here?

    A snapshot in VMware products contains only deltas, i.e. becomes the parent disk. A snapshot starts with a small file and develops over time. Since it can grow to the size of the virtual disk that is put into service, the maximum size is added to the space put into service that appears in the summary virtual machines.

    Just a quick comment for "all snapshots are by default thin stocked... ». It's not exactly how it is. Provisioning is a feature of system files and used only for disks virtual base. Snapshots use a fragmented, file format which consists of blocks of metadata database and checked.

  • remove the formatting of a document pages

    I'm importing text (copy / paste) into a new document in Pages. There are commands of paragraph at the end of each line, visible by clicking Show invisible characters on the view tab. When I try to format the text, I get weird results as simple words on a line. If I remove the descendant 'P' at the end of each line manually, which solves the problem; everything is as it should be. I tried to use 'Find and replace' but it doesn't work because it removes all invisible characters so that you get a long sentence without a space between the words. I tried to use TextEdit to remove formatting controls unwanted, as found in another link, but that doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions on how to do to remove all "P"? I have a document of 50 pages to reformat, so doing this manually is nuts.

    HI Dwight,.

    When you copy text from? I guess that returns were inserted by an application of text at some point editor in the process. If you copy a text editor, you can find an arrangement that will toggle between having and not having returns at the end of each line. If so, set it to "off" before the selection and copy.

    Is it possible to distinguish these additional returns of those legitimate by looking at the characters that immediately precede and follow?

    Back at the end of a paragraph should immediately follow a sign of punctuation; period, question mark, or exclamation point and should be immediately followed by the first character of the next paragraph.

    End of line returns should not follow one of these brands, except when this brand (and the space after it) come too close to the maximum line length to fit the word following on the same line.

    If you're lucky, and the record was produced by someone not wise to (or not to trust of) the ability of the software to add a space after a point, you can see that two consecutive returns have been used (as I have in this post) to create this space.

    End of line returns should not follow one of these brands, except when this brand (and the space after it) come too close to the maximum line length to fit the word following on the same line.

    Knowledge of these patterns can give you a method three passes for the removal of these statements of additional income by using find/replace.

    On the first pass, MARK returns you want to keep.

    -If double returns have been used, use two returns as your search string and two markers as the same string replacement. The markers must be a pair of characters that do not appear or do not appear in pairs, in the document. ' # ' comes to mind.

    -If you need to rely on punctuation, you will need to make a separate pass mark for each sign of punctuation that was used at the end of a paragraph. For each, the Find string will be markreturn and the brand of string replace. #

    This first pass will replace all the feedback that you want to keep with "#" (preceded in the second method of punctuation that should also be kept).

    On the second pass, remove all the statements that have been left in the document. Find the string: return the replacement string: a single space.

    NOTE: This assumes that the end of the return line has replaced the space that normally elapses between the words, at this stage. If you have determined that there is a return of end of line AND a space between the word at the end of a line and beginning of the next line, leave the box replace empty.

    CAREFUL directions: understand the space, then see the fourth passage below.

    On the third pass, reinsert the required return. Search: # replace: return

    Note that if your first pass sought and kept a sign of punctuation, you do NOT want to restore it - there was kept in the first pass.

    Fourth optional phase: one of the things I've taught students when we started using processing in elementary school was never press the space bar twice in a row. You need a space between the words, no space between a Word and punctuation after the word and a space between the mark end of a sentence and the first word of the following sentence in the same paragraph. This pass of find/replace removes extra spaces using find: replace two spaces: a space.

    Repeat this step as many times as necessary (until find/replace reports "none found" or a similar message).

    Kind regards

    Barry

    PS: This method can probably also be written in an AppleScript, who would have shot on the necessary measures and simplify everything.

  • shadow copy volume eql

    Hello

    We have a volume on our PS5000 is MS iSCSI attached to a Windows 2003 UDS server. This volume (4to) is a file sharing for users using NFS. We are taking shots on this volume every hour during the day and preserve a snapshot for each week a few months back in time.
    We take snapshots that frequently so that we can recover files/folders that accidentally delete users and the most recent changes.

    As you understand snapshot space takes up a LOT of storage capacity. So I thought enabling shadow copies on that volume to the instant recovery of files. As I MFIS space that shadow copy used for this is not that big if it could be our saver because I can then just reduce the amount of hourly snapshots.

    So my question is if there are any problems enabling shadow copies on a volume of windows residing on eql.

    Thank you

    About the cliché, yes it works, it is not a difference if the volume is a disk local or present at the server of the table (via the iSCSI initiator).

    The shots of Microsoft Repository is a file, it takes no space on your volume and could cause your volume to use data more quickly than expected. So, this may affect the size of snapshots and replication jobs.

    It is recommended to create a new volume to take shadow copies of MS for the server (local and based on iSCSI) disks and connect to your server.

  • DATACOPY function problem using several variables quick

    Hello

    I have problem when I use more variables and then a quick calculation with DATACOPY function. When I put a prompt variable in function DATACOPY it works but when I add one or more it gives me error Essbasse (I can see it in the Essbase Administration journal not in the syntax checking process):

    Not valid [Calc Script syntax

    DATACOPY Q1020-> Dec-> 'FY14'-]

    [Fri Jul 11 15:04:25 2014] Local/TS_PLAN/Prihodi/admin@Native Directory/1004/Error (1200421)

    Error occurred at or after the line [8]

    -Essbase put FY14 because it is rapidly Variable in this error above.

    I try datacopy function with this:

    DATACOPY Q1020-> Dec-> "FY14 '... It works

    DATACOPY Q1200-> Dec-> {YearPrompt}... It works

    DATACOPY Q1200-> Dec-> {YearPrompt}-> {ScenarioPrompt} it doesn't it break on variable ScenarioPrompt.

    Thank you

    Finally, I solved my problem. That was the problem Essbasse how to understand the spaces between the dimensions. I didn't not use quotes for members and I put space between the arrows. It gave me an error I think because he did not understand space as the space. Now, when I use quotes and remove the space between the arrows cross dimensions it works.

    I accept that some HD will be consumed a 40 GB VM running, but why some last dates used are more than a year (for example, Sargarmatha - flat hard)?

    What can remove without harming my VM?  I'm glad to get rid of snapshots too, if it would make much difference.  What is the Sagarmatha-000001 and-000002 for?

    I appreciate people looking at it for me, and I look forward to your responses.

    Tim

    Hey, it's your shots that take the place. If you make snapshots, which will free up space, so you come up to about 40 GB (could be patient, it may take awhile loong commit / remove snapshots of this size...). It is not advisable to leave the snapshots for too long (in my business, that the policy is about a week) - one of the reasons is exactly the problem that you have encountered, it is difficult to control disk consumption.

  • "View page source" mystery... Please help!

    Hi guys,.

    I am at a loss to understand what is happening to my site of formatting code.  When I created the code, it looked really good; all my prints were present.  Currently, it looks like this in my files the:

    Before_upload.png

    After downloading my code on the server and do a "view page source", all my formatting looks like this:

    After_upload.png

    Any ideas of what happens when my code is transferred to the server in Dreamweaver?  Thank you!

    Rosemary

    Hi osgood_

    Would you believe that I just found the answer?  What, in my view, was going on was that Dreamweaver is not understand white space which should have been put in the code when I hit the enter/return key on my Mac.

    So, I removed the white space before the openingtag and the hit and then enter again to move the code to the next line.  Voila!  She fixed all issues of tabs and back on the rest of the page when I transferred my site again.

    There's a bug experienced this problem?  Do you know if it has something to do with the recent upgrade to OS X Lion?

    Thank you!

  • Dell inspiron 1525 2008 model replacement hard drive

    Hello

    My dell inspiron 1525 hard drive was faulty and I am looking for a replacement drive. While looking for the hard drive, I have found there are 2 types of hard disk of 2.5 inch SATA

    1, height 9mm

    2 height 7.5 mm

    Can anyone confirm that it adapts to my laptop?

    Thank you

    Older models have the readers of 9 mm. Get a Crucial BX200 240 GB SSD will be 7.5 mm but they will understand a spacer so that the SSD fits. The SSD will make your system much more vivid:

  • Can't understand why audio files always take a lot of space on my macbook

    Hi everyone, I apologize if this has been asked before, I'm going cross-eyed trying to find an answer.

    Stupidly, I didn't use iCloud DOES NOT mean that all my music and photos would be stored on the cloud and take MUCH space on my macbook. I discovered the hard way. So I'm moving all my pictures and music on an external drive. All well and dandy. Except that since I moved my iTunes library and all my music files, when I look at my storage, it shows still 154 GB allocated to audio. (Meanwhile there are now 140 GB Audio on my seagate SOMETHING that was supposed to happen happened.) I've looked everywhere, I can't understand why there are still some 154 GB of audio files on my laptop. Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated. Please be lenient, I was on a pc for a few decades and finally crossed the step last year, but I'm still confused by all this cloud stuff and find my way in on a mac. (I'm on OS X Yosemite). I guess it's one thing to iTunes, but I could be far away.

    Thank you in advance.

    I guess that after you copied the folder iTunes external hard disk, you checked if everything is there, then deleted the folder iTunes on your Mac drive.

    If NOT, then you know what to do.

    If so, force Spotlight to reindex the reader.

    Rebuild the index on your Mac - Apple Support Spotlight

    ---------

    iTunes: link again or external HD library:

    * Open iTunes while holding down Option (Mac) or shift (Windows).

    * In the dialog box, click Choose library.

    * Select the iTunes folder that you moved to the external hard drive.

    * Click on choose (Mac OS X) or open (Windows), and then choose the library inside iTunes file.

    Hi all, I need to understand why my VMs will always grow so large they finally running out of disk space, and then I can't resize them... see the screenshots below:

    Screen Shot 2014-08-26 at 12.16.56 AM.png

    So all my virtual machines are that looks like it's finally the 5 GB goes down to zero, cannot update things like Dropbox and all sorts of other things start to break. I then, go here and try to expand, but I get this error on machines to young readers:

    Screen Shot 2014-08-26 at 12.18.02 AM.png

    I think I need at least as much GBs on the system, as is the virtual machine? Done my MBA and smaller machines, is not possible. But when I move the virtual machine to a bigger machine like my iMac, with a big disc of TB, I can do the resizing. Is it the way it is supposed to work? Perhaps, I do not have this right...

    thx for all the advice!

    Yep, that's the way it is supposed to work.  The close, move it to the iMac, expand drive, then arrest him and bring him back.  Make sure you choose "move" not "copy" when migrating to avoid triggering the activation of windows.

    Regarding what is eating space inside the virtual machine, you will have to consider for the guest OS for more information (which are not a matter of merger).

    To free up space on the host, with closing VM, go to settings, click on the circle of little tiny refreshment next to the space bar, then if she said cleaning recommended, go into general and make a clean virtual machine.
