Copies of images do not generate RMAN

Hi all

I configured the backup type by default as image faces below

RMAN > CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE DISK COPY BACKUP TYPE
2 >.

RMAN old configuration settings:
SET UP THE DEVICE TYPE DISK PARALLELISM 2 COPY BACKUP TYPE.
new RMAN configuration settings:
SET THE TYPE OF BACKUP DEVICE TYPE DISK TO COPY 2 PARALLELISM;
new RMAN configuration settings are stored successfully
from full resynchronization of the recovery catalog
full complete Resync

always backup takes only backup sets not image copies

Please advice how to get copies of the pictures instead of backup sets, below are the backup and list backups

  • Copies of images on tape with RMAN

    Colleagues dbas,

is it possible to create copies of the image of the archivelogs with rman, and store them on tape by specifying the string that is used by RMAN?

AFAIK, it is possible to create copies of the image on disk only. I need these files stored on tape, however and want to avoid backupsets.

If you have an idea as to if it will work, please let me know!

    Kind regards

    SEB

    Hello;

AS a BACKUP COPY can be done on the disc.

Backup of the COPY of the IMAGE cannot be made to the disk. You have no backup copy image on tape.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/backup.112/e10643/rcmsynta007.htm#CHDEHBEJ

A copy of the image is an identical copy of the byte to byte in the original file. Copy the image files may not exist on disk.

See - 4.1.2.1 on Copies of the Image - (Oracle 10)

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B19306_01/backup.102/b14192/bkup001.htm#i1034275

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmcncpt.htm#i1006661

See Chapter 5 of the E10642-03 - Sub - "configure the default Type for backups: sets or backup Copies.

    Exact quote:

Note: because RMAN can write a copy of only the disk image, the type of backup to tape can be a backup set.

Thus, you can perform the copy and it then backs up to the band as an option.

  • Copies of images RMAN

    Hello
    DB is 9.2.0.7
Operating system is HP - UX 11.23 Itanium

I take daily rman backup of my database as backupsets.

But my leadership asked me: Why can't backups rman as copies of the image.

    I told him that.

    (a) space the backup can be reduced if one takes the rman backups using backupsets (need to backup only used blocks)
    (b) we cannot take images other than disk tape copies

are there other differences hand from above?

    Published by: oraDBA2 on May 5, 2009 16:00

For copies of images have has several advantages:
Recovery time fastest of all the RMAN Backup Options - (a standard RMAN backup set contains one or more backup pieces, and each of these pieces includes data blocks for a particular data file that is stored in a compressed format. When a data file must be restored, as a result, the entire data file must essentially be re-created from the blocks in the backup piece. Copy of the image already has any physical structure, so it is faster)
    Quick backup time
These files can be used in situations of non-RMAN recovery.

And you can use them as well as the incremental backups.

But it depends on what problem your management tries to solve with switching of copies of the image?

RMAN cannot write copies of the image directly on tape. You must use a third-party media manager that integrates with RMAN to back up directly to tape. Alternatively, one can save disk and then manually copy the backups to tape.

And aditionaly, depends on your backup strategy. You are only backups nuer or ago additional so. And with the copy of the image, you cannot copy of spfile.

  • Image layer not be created properly.

I created a multi layer image that will be used to automatically generate a detailed with static overlays, glow, and drop shadow image. Something is not right. I have a total of 4 layers, 2 are real images, 2 are generated images.

    Order (from top to bottom):

    1. Overlay
    2. Solid color hidden object
    3. Also hidden sized RGBA image
    4. Drop shadow

The shadow overlay and drop have alpha transparency, the other two are supposed to but something does not work on them. #2 never seems to get alpha so I end up losing #3 and 4.

I will return to this problem later, the next part, is that even if everything I do is draw the layer pre-created, static and shadow scope, the images are "lost". The correct result should be a white square with a drop shadow, the result is a distorted, chopped up, partially missing a white square with no shadow. A different overlay that has glow is also applied to the shadow of origin, this is like a picture very and hardly anything can be seen with the exception of the shadow.

The two generated images appear not at all. The first generated image is a Bitmap with alpha that gets put on the scale using the function Bitmap.scaleInto 5.0 running the Lanczos algorithm. This image is hidden that shows only a part of the image. The second generated image is a solid color and generated (fillRect) who has the same masking application made to it. The two appear when drawn individually. They come out like images in white as well.

I hope you will understand this and I don't confuse you.

    In summary:

    • Something is causing a white drawing/clearing of the background of the image.
    • The image does not appear, so I don't know if the update the scale or masking works.
    • The object of solid color does not appear, so I don't know if masking works.
    • Static images get serverly distorted and messed up.
    • All images are (supposed) to have the alpha value and the resulting image should have transperency.
    • All have been tests with the Eclipse plugin 1.2, component Pack 5.0.0.25, on the Storm 9550 Simulator (with code very useful hot swapping).

OK last issues resolved. Initially, I tried to make a manual loop to hide the images but thought it would take too much time

I thought because of the permeable white background problem that it didn't work. I also thought about this loop has been the cause of the white background so I started looking for an alternative, see rop and gave it a try. Who did not much matter what I did, so I worked on static images.

I am of those who work, I realized that rop was working, but not in the way I wanted to. So I went back to the loop and that worked.

    Hello Dutchybert,

You must ensure that you do not use any other font on the page. You can use several fonts but not missing fonts.

There is probably a box/image/text that you forgot to change the font.

Be sure to use web fonts that are in your font library.

    I hope this helps

  • Center the div in parent div Background Image and not the whole page

I am trying to Center a background image, I have inserted as create a div via the new css rule and will have questions centering correctly on the page. I would it is centered at the top of the page contet - left area of the page content, and it seems that the background image is ignorant parent his div and is centering the page-level. It's a problem because its parent div that 2/3 of the page, therefore covers, in question background image is cropped.

I did a video showing the problem here, because I'm not sure I use the right words to describe the problem

Dreamweaver Background Image needs centered at the top of the page content DIV - YouTube

In other words, I insert a div tag and add a background image so that I can place the content above it, however, the background image seems to be centered in the entire page and not simply within the Division 'parent' in design mode, everything is centered, however, in direct mode, the background image is offset. I can't really explain for good so I made another video.

Still another problem as can be seen in the video but not prime, since it still works live, is:

In addition, my navigation bar is direct, but in design mode, it appears at the bottom of the screen. I did fix the position, then he stuck on the right side, so I added a margin of 700px to go right once again, I guess that the problem is due to this.

I have boldened which, in my view, are source code target areas and css to quickly reduce down, but everything included because I am not knowledgeable enough to know what is relevant or not, I could (and likely) wrong.

Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

  • JHS 10.1.3.1.26 not generate beans folder Page

I generate all checkboxes except tab checked 2 level for all pages in the application, but JAG does not generate the page <>- beans.xml file controller for some groups; renamed copies of groups that do not generate bean file that sometimes generate bean file (the first time they are generated after copying it seems).

Idea: The application has more than 100 pages and I notice a single line entry in common beans file that contains the name of each of them. This line for us is 12 000 characters. Is there maybe a limit on the length of the line for the ADF Scanner?

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you
    Peter

    Peter,

I can't reproduce this behavior. Are you sure that you are not looking bean xml files that no longer have a corresponding group of JHeadstart?

For the long line, I assume you mean the javax.faces.CONFIG_FILES - param in web.xml context?

This is a standard feature of JSF and unrelated to the generation of JHeadstart. If this line is too long, it would mean that you get errors when running because some beans is not found.

  • Bridge CS6 do not generate correct thumbnails of RAW files

I am running Bridge CS6 (the latest version, 5.0.2.4) on a MacBook Pro (OSX 10.9.1) 2013 and suddenly from now bridge is longer update thumbnails for my RAW files. All other images and video file formats have generated thumbnails, but not my raw files Nikon NEF including those I worked on ACR. I tried to purge all of the cache, restart of bridge and even restart my computer and always raw thumbnails are not generated.

Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

    Eric

In fact I just noticed that thumbnails for JPEGs will not be generated. A thumbnail is generated that if I'm working on a file in Photoshop and then save it.

Make sure that you put free space of the disk cache.  You should have at least 15%.  For a ride from 700 free g 100 g.

Have reset you the preferences?  Hold down the option key and launch bridge.  You will get a window to reset.

  • Why images do not stop?

I recorded a piece of VO for a slide is 01:15 min both.

I've added images to the timeline and them overlapped a few seconds for the Nice transitions.

All played fine when I click on the play button on the bottom of the timeline.

All the transition of the images perfectly during playback from the timeline.

The problem I have is when I publish audio playback but the pictures stop once the first 3 seconds image he plays just lies on this image as the VO continues.

I checked the properties of the images and sound to see if something prevents the images from the game, but I just can't understand why he will not go beyond the first image.

Also is there a way to disable the progress on the project bar? I don't think that it is necessary for this.

Please someone make me know what I could do wrong. I spent most of the day trying to solve this problem.

    Best,

    Dan

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Could you please post a screenshot of the timeline? Maybe you have an interactive object with a suspension point that causes the read head stop.

You have the same effect when you use a real preview (F4, F8, F10, or even better all F12)? Play the blade does not generate a temporary SWF, it isn't a real preview but mainly intended to do the sync on the timeline.

  • 'Drop image' image does not appear at the FCC.

I'm lost. I just open a copy of the model 'push' of the PCF in movement. Add a moving image where it says image drop. He plays on the move, and if I export a blow the image is there. But in FCP the image isn't there. Only black. What I am doing wrong. Pulling my hair out. Referring to the fact that might help. The tile in FCP show in the picture at the beginning, but if I skim the vignette is not and if I drag the on the timeline image is not there. Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Tom

Normally you do not "charge" a with the media on the move drop zone, but it's a viable option. The trick is, when you save the project as a model, you must select the option "Include unused media" this movement will save the fall zone media in the Media folder in the model to make it available for FCPX.

We encourage you not to do what the drop areas are available and are usually 'loaded' in FCPX unless you have a good reason to do otherwise (for example, to force a report l / h size image box or image specific 'default' or the cutting for the effect).

  • Video images do not scale correctly

In Firefox video images do not fit properly. This affects both Flash and HTML5 example youtube.com videos videos for example twitch.tv.
When going to the movies to see in youtube, or close the side panels in contraction, the framework will extend to the left and to the right, leaving black bars on the side, but the video does not fit and the framework does not increase in height.
I don't have the problem in Mode safe and also not in Chrome. However I still have the problem in Firefox with all extensions disabled. I tried deleting cookies, cache and update of Firefox, but the problem persists. I also tried to disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player and Firefox, but this does not resolve the issue.

Safe mode also disables userChrome.css and userContent.css. If you have created or any of these files to customize Firefox, you can check if these rules affect video sites.

Oh, wait, the problem persists even after that you used refresh? That would have removed these customizations. (I assume you have tested before going back to the old settings.)

  • Why Tumblr images are not displayed, but they do in Internet Explorer?

Mozilla has already admitted that leaking memory prevents images from multiple sources. Well, if I open Tumblr, not all the images it displays. Some simply lead to links by saying: "Access Denied", and some have simply even a URL there; There is no indication that an image is there at all. The Tumblr Windows more than I have open, the worst problem, and more each page takes to load.

These problems do not exist on Internet Explorer 11 at the same time, looking at the same pages. Images load and display when an image is not available, a broken link icon. Something is very wrong with the image handling in Firefox 38, such a serious problem that threatens the usability of the program. When I can't get the images for books on page "Scary Go Round" of John Allison, but they instantly appear in Internet Explorer, then there is a problem quite serious here not adequately. I think you should look into this and quickly. Such, Firefox is broken, virtually useful. It is not usable for any Web page with multiple images.

I'm spoiled at the office, as the page load all 22MB in about 11 seconds (depending on the Network Monitor of Firefox Web Console - attached screenshot section). I don't know on a normal connection it takes less than a minute to download that amount of data.

I use the NoScript extension, so a few scripts that could possibly slow down to the bottom of the page are blocked by a load, including scripts of Radar data, scorecard research and Google Analytics.

If the suggestions in the response of cor - el do not help, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any difference?

  • Craigslist 'Reply' and the buttons 'Add images' does not

Until a few weeks ago, I used Firefox with no problem when browsing and posting Craigslist ads. Recently, the 'Reply' button in the messages does not at all. Nothing happens when I click it. When I write ads, the button 'Add images' does not save when I click it. I had to go back using Internet Explorer when using Craigslist. Help, please! (If it helps, I had to post this question in Internet Explorer, as the button "Question" on the page does not work in Firefox).

Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

I added an image as a signature when a set my e-mail account. This image is added successfully when I compose a new email. When I reply to an e-mail message, the image is not added, and I have to manually copy it from a newly formed email. I assumed that there should be a way around this?

  • Background images are not displayed (CSS, other images ok

I tried to empty cache, watched: config for odd configurations, made a private window and disabled all extensions. None of them had no effect.

Test pages: Amazon.com and https://developer.mozilla.org/samples/cssref/background-image.html - two of these pages have loaded by CSS background pictures. For example, the Amazon logo at the top left is a background loaded from a CSS page. The image itself can be found in gross:

    This image cannot:
    https://developer.Mozilla.org/samples/cssref/images/starsolid.gif

But why, why why these images are displayed on their relevant Web pages? I see that Amazon, eBay, and many other sites Web without a range full of images. In particular those used for menus and other important navigation buttons.

Here's what I see on the Mozilla page mentioned above: I see the text, but no expandable star image. It works in other browsers and on other computers in Firefox.

The page that I tap on right now has no blue background, windows are not correct (as the search engine is not a rounded grey area) and the magnifying of research is missing. So this experience makes it impossible the use of simple pages.

    Firefox 32, Vista

It was a strange setting. I have it set, then updated some of the relevant information on the subject myself. Here's the question:

If the preference of the user browser.display.use_document_colors in subject: config is set to false, the background images will not display.
