• Drag and drop inside SWFLoader does not

  I have a Flex application that loads a high Flex application via SWFLoader. The secondary application uses drag-and-drop operations to rearrange items, delete them etc.  The secondary application works perfectly when it runs by itself (for example, not "incorporated" via SWFLoader in the main application).

  Once I have load in the main application using a SWFLoader operations drag - move no longer work correctly. All other events seems to work very well. It is only drag and drop that don't always work right.

  Y at - it something that I'm missing that would cause this issue? I think there may be a property that I need to put on the SWFLoader. I hope someone can help.

  You could maybe make a component, implemented as a module and load only for users who need to see it.

  I have installed the agent of sight, recorded the comments with the connection to the server and can connect using client PCoIP.  However copy/paste, drag-drop and file share do not work.

  I installed each open-vm-tools * available on the guest computer (apt - get install open-vm-tools-lts-faithful open-vm-tools-lts-trusty-dkms open-vm-tools-lts-trusty-desktop & & apt - get install open-vm-tools open-vm-Tools-office open-vm-tools-dkms) individually and together.

  Running vmware-user-suid-wrapper manually in the connected session errorcould not open proc/fs/vmblock/dev .  lsmod does not show vmblock module loaded, nor can it be found if I attempt to modpobe it manually.

  Anyone got this working on 14.04.03?

  Agent: VMware-viewagent-linux-x86_64-6.2.0-3016404

  Kernel: 3.19.0 - 33-generic

  Open-vm - tools-*: 2:9.4.0 - 1280544-5ubuntu6

  P.S. I don't think that this is not due to politics in sight connection to the server.  MMR, USB redirection are all enabled.

  The documents are for vSphere, not Horizon Linux Desktop.

  Linux Desktop 6.2.0 horizon has no support on the copy/paste.

  Linux Desktop 6.2.1 horizon will be released soon, which has official copy/paste support on RHEL/CentOS 6.6 x 64. For Ubuntu 1204/1404 x 64, although there is no official support for copy/paste, it should work.

  I ve done a Drag and Drop interaction, where I have 4 targets and 4 drag only one correct answer for each of the sources. I've added States for Drop targets:

  DropCorrect State, The target turns Green when pressing submit, and the answer is correct.

  DropIncorrect State, target Drop becomes Red when press submit and answer is incorrect.

  I thought that it would be a good way to show the user which targets Drop are correct and which aims to drop they must change to get the right answer.

  When the answer is correct, Drop targets turns green and I made an action that says "OK, click anywhere to continue."

  BUT when the answer is wrong, nothing happens to the colors of the Drop target. It s just a failed, Try Again message. Nothing more.

  Why isn´t the State DropIncorrect showing when I press the submit button and the answer is incorrect?

  I just checked the file of this article, which was created on an earlier version of 9 and it works well also for the State of DropInCorrect, but I have only 1 attempt! I suspect that your endless attempts are the cause of the DropIncorrect does not. Compare it with actions on a question slide: success action will be performed when the answer is correct, but the other action will be done only at the last attempt is finished and the answer is wrong. Since you have endless attempts, this last attempt event never occurs.

  I have an Asus laptop that I bought in September with Windows 8 is installed. I saw drag and drop questions on desktop lately, and I'll provide you with a full run down of what past:

  1. this particular case, I wanted to save my mobile by copying and pasting all the files from my phone to a USB (USB Kingston).

  2. I selected all files, right click to copy, open the folder that I made in the USB for my phone content and do a right-click Paste.

  3. nothing's happened, Explorer seems to have frozen, so I opened the Task Manager and press end task, all closed and restarted my laptop.

  4. I have excluded that my phone was the issue. I was able to create a folder on my desktop and copy and paste all of the content of my phone in the folder on my desktop.

  5. I tried to copy and paste / drag and drop an image from my office to the flash drive. Explorer Windows freezes on the rise again.

  6. I tried another flash drive. Explorer Windows froze again.

  Apparently I'm unable to copy files ON a USB key, which makes the backup and backup of things a headache because Windows Explorer stops working every time.

  I am the only user of this laptop, and I don't know what is happening or what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Windows 8.1 upgrade would solve this problem?

  1. There is no error message.

  2. I tried earlier drag - move my documents to my flash drive and it works perfectly.

  I just tried again to drag and drop from my office to my flash drive and for some reason, it works again.

  I don't think that was with my flash drives, but with Windows Explorer itself. Nevertheless, it seems to have fixed itself somehow. Thank you very much for your help!

• Creates shortcuts to folders via SHIFT-CTRL/Drag-And-Drop is no longer supported in Windows 7 (64 bit)?

  In Windows Vista, there are two possibilities to create a shortcut to a folder by drag - move different combinations of keys by drag-and - drop:

  'ALT'-key: create a normal shortcut (a double-click on this shortcut navigates to the linked folder)
  "SHIFT-CTRL"-key: creates a shortcut file (junction; "." the folder appears as a subfolder of the folder of its container)

  In Windows 7, it is only possible to create normal shortcuts. 'SHIFT-CTRL' / drag-and-drop doesn't seem to work in Windows 7. Only, it behaves in the same way as 'ALT' / drag-and-drop.

  My observation is correct?
  Is it possible to activate Vista-like behavior in Windows 7 (for example, by editing the registry)?

  A few notes:

  Shortcuts to files that have been created previously with Windows Vista are always managed properly in Windows 7 (i.e., they appear as subfolders).

  The expected behavior of drag-and-drop works correctly when deleting in the folder "...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network shortcuts" (However, creating normal shortcuts via "ALT" - key is not possible in the shortcut 'network' - folder).

  Creating a shortcut to folder in "Network shortcut" and then moving in an arbitrary folder shortcut works as expected. Currently, it is the only workaround I know.

• Cannot drag and drop in Photoshop CS6

  Can't click and drag in Photoshop CS6. This means no marquee, no multiple selection, not drag and drop tool. It was working yesterday, and then after lunch it didn't work anymore.

  Have you tried to restart the program, reset the restore point, uninstallation and reinstallation of the creative suite.

  Update: the problem came once again. It turns out that another synergy program (allows me to switch between computers using the same keyboard and mouse) was interfering with Photoshop or other Adobe products. Synergy uninstalling has resolved my problem.

• Sharing folders, drag and drop, copy and paste that NONE works!

  I got 6.5 VMware workstation installed about 3 weeks now and I think my wife think me crazy for buying the license last night due to the fact that he has several features that simply do not work.

  Now I ask anyone with knowledge of this product for shut up here and explain it.  The instructions are not difficult to understand, and no reason I can think to copy and paste them here since the help files.

  I will say this however.  I am running windows XP pro host and Vmware with Linux Red Hat Fedora 10 as the guest OS.  I'll probably install XP on it in a day or two to see how it works.  Long user VPC time here to try VMWARE first at the time I also tried connectix VPC and choose to keep the VPC then as the top program.  It is quite obvious that VMware is the best of both in its current phase, but how in the world can you expect from ourselves to a program that does not work in some critical areas.

  Is anyone else out there there's this version 6.5 installed and if yes can actually use you files shared?  Someone there itstalled with XP and Linux Guest host?

  Any one that can have drag and drop?  Copy and paste work?  Anyone with shared working folders?

  I noticed that vmware - the user does not seem to start on RPM based distributions.  I saw this on Suse 11.1, F10 and Centos 5.2.  It starts automatically on debian (lenny) and kubunto at least here.

  Everything is entirely up to date, etc. on a Z87 PC chipset.

  I can't drag-and - drop between host and guest! lol I just get that bar circle icon.

  I'm totally stumped! I tried a myriad of common things...uninstalled/reinstalled VMWARE, then Tools, then even tried to create new guests. I do not have eccentric tweaks or customizations. It is a desktop PC that I use for a laboratory test and my business. I have no other problems in addition to this. Yet, on my other system, essentially a nearly identical configuration, I don't have this problem.

  Any suggestions?

  SOLUTION FOUND!

  The problem boils down to a matter of RUN AS ADMIN. On the HOST problem, it has been set to RUN as administrator. I've not done this! He has just installed that way automatically. Once I stopped that and it ran normally, all was well again. Read below for more details.

  I have two virtual HOST machine configurations almost identical - we'll we'll call HOST 1 and HOST 2. HOST 2 works perfectly without a problem. Drag and drop, to navigate to drives mapped to access NAS stored VMs, etc...

  I began to compare what was similar vs. different between the two. On HOST 1 (problem child even as I could slide properly - drop on), I noticed that I could not navigate to my NAS location where some virtual machines are stored. In the left navigation panel, the mapped drives would appear as drive letters with question marks next to them as you can see in the image below.

  

  I deleted the mapped drives then mapped them still fresh, did an other CLEAN uninstall VMWARE WS PRO 12. I combed the registry, records and checked for devices hidden in Device Manager. Clean as a whistle! I reinstalled 12 Workstation and returned the problem! I could yet drag-and - drop properly or navigate to mapped drives. Then I noticed the HOST 2 that he was not being RUN as administrator. Really? So, I removed this parameter and TA DA! Everything started to work properly. I don't know if it's a bug, or knowledge common to others but for me it was new. I don't know why, by default, when installing 1 HOST went down VMWARE to run as administrator, but it was.

  Bottom line - do not run VMWARE as an administrator.

  After a recent power outage, my system has restarted with a weird and very common Windows problems range. The system boots fine, all my personal files/folders/apps are intact, have suddenly stopped almost all functions of applications, but many crucial functions of the Windows kernel. I started with Win XP media center edition of first (circa 2004 or almost) and have migrated twice more of 3 hard disks and 2 computers. All this time (5 years of daily use), I have NEVER known so many malfunctions for as many Windows basic and vital functions at the same time. I tried a lot of 3rd party "windows fix - it / registry repair" apps, all have no effect. Everything I can speculate is there was some serious damage to the registry and have no idea how/why so many Services refuse to start. In MMC, more than half of the services actually start and run, the rest all give the error message "the service or dependencies is not start (error 1068).» In addition, very oddly, no. APPS or windows appear in the toolbar AT ALL, but the Quick Launch toolbar works very well, just like the tray button and start tasks (?! )!). If I reduce a window, it "disappears" (Nothing on the task bar), but I can restore it using the alt - tab keyboard shortcut to switch apps, so all applications/windows appear on the list of the Task Manager. A few apps is paralyzed bad, as the player windows media, itunes, etc. (I guess because the service windows audio can not not start), some won't start at all, but 90% of them work fine, except to try to copy or back up all files. I can create new files, however. I'm desperate to find a solution to repair XP3 Win WITHOUT losing my installed applications and files, before I try and switch to WIndows 7. Any help/suggestions/links/advice would be much appreciated. I'm an experienced user, but I've never met so many malfunctions based on the OS at a time. I, however, very painfully learned (years before that my system so complex) it's been almost a re-installation of Windows guarantees to lose my installed apps and files, the directory tree architecture associations.

  I'll be honest with you - your message is so difficult to read that I don't bother to go through all that. Next time consider using white space, ball or points numbered, etc. to make your message more readable. I stopped reading after your first sentence and only scanned the rest quickly. I do not mean to hurt your feelings; just trying to help you get targeted answers you need for the future.

  The blackout has corrupted your Windows installation. Back up your data now. Since you have problems so much, it would be probably best is to remove the hard drive, put it in a USB drive enclosure and attach it to another computer to copy the data OR start the target with Linux Livecd such as Knoppix system and copy the data to an external hard drive. IOW, do not use the damaged windows to try to get your data.

  You can try a repair that will leave your programs and facility data intact, but with this widespread bribery, it is unlikely to work. However, it takes only a few minutes and is so worth a try. If the repair facility does not work there is nothing to do, but a clean install. And Yes, it will mean that over again.

  Consider buying a UPS to help prevent future damage by power outages. For a single computer, you should look for one in the area of $60 to 80. A more expensive UPS is not necessary. Another good disaster recovery strategy is to buy an external hard drive and Acronis True Image. You can image your system (and can make an incremental backup image so that your image is still current). You can apply your image and be back running that you were in relatively few minutes after a hard drive or Windows to fail.

  Please note that the Clipboard format is not something that we intend to create directly and they may change in a future version of TestStand. So if you do this, keep in mind that it is possible, it may not work in a future version of TestStand (i.e. we do not support creating Clipboard elements directly).
