Copy rotobrush different video layer mask

Hello!

I am currently working on some work in AE title. The text moves slowly away from the camera and I must add a few splashes of blood surrounding only the text box. I followed the movement and the rotobrushed text. However the rotobrush masks only the bottom of the layer with the title. Is there anyway to get this mask on the layer with the splash of blood?

Thank you!

Use as a matte. May be required before dialing.

  • Video layer masks are driving me crazy

OK, so I made a sequence of png in AE, imported in PS (CS5) as a layer video, resize it so converted to dynamic.

Now, I add a mask, and it resets itself to some arbitrary place that the first frame of the video is in. I'll try to explain it a little more.

Lets say the visible part of the first image in the video is 400 x 200, but to frame 10 it goes beyond the scope. The mask Auto-sets itself the range 400 x 200, then when the video reached some of its parts 10 frame out the mask, even if I painted the top mask.

Not only that, but after I replay the video a few times, all masks just disappear. It's really driving me crazy. Should I just go back to the use of sequences of layer?

Masks may not change over time. They are linked to the layer and this is what you see - a video layer is just a layer, even if its content is changed. Indeed, using the animation of image or using dedicated layers would be the only way to get what you are looking for.

  • Select, copy and paste layer masks

    Hello

I am a beginner when it comes to Photoshop, so my vocabulary can be a little off. I'll try my best to explain my situation. Let me know if I do not make sense, or if you need more details.

I have problems using a mask to create a selection that I can then use to paste a background image in an another PSD. I have isolated the part of the image that I want to select using a layer mask successfully, but when I try to copy/paste from an another PSD, the image appears as the "shadow" or the black silhouette that I used for the background of the original PSD image through the mask.

It is logical that this is happening because I select the mask which is only a black outline of the image I wanted to show through the second layer. But I saw on a tutorial that someone could "turn the mask in a selection that appears around the mask, so that you can then cut out the object and paste it into a different environment."

Here is the reference. It is the last two images in the tutorial:

    Using layers with Photoshop masks

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

To load the mask as a selection:

Hold down the CTRL key and click on the mask, now, the selection will be charged.

Then click on the thumbnail of the layer (NOT on the mask) and copy or cut the layer for any other destination

  • Copy a texture in a layer mask... How?

This issue has been plaguing me for years and I thought I'd come and finally to remove once and for all that itch.

    See this picture? http://fc05.deviantart.NET/FS42/f/2009/072/7/0/Grunge_Texture_by_skeelar_stock.jpg

Say I want to use it as on a specific layer opacity mask, or a specific group of layers. How can I do?

I mean, I know I can select with the wand and then add a layer mask in the form of what I chose, but transparency/alpha information will be deleted. Parts of the mask will be transparent or opaque.

Copy of a layer with gradients - as one of a worn paper texture - in a layer mask is something that I was not able to do. But I'm sure it's possible, because masks can do different levels of alpha very well (they would be quite useless if they do not have).

Select all, copy (or copy merged if you have several layers) in the file that you want to make a mask. Go to the image that you want to add to the mask. Select the layer you want to hide. Create a layer mask. Make sure that this mask is active in alt-clicking above. Dough.

  • How to copy a channel alpha to an adjustment layer mask?

I can copy a mask in alpha channel to a layer of the image by Ctrl + click on the alpha channel, then by clicking on the icon Add a layer mask in Photoshop CC, but it does not work for an adjustment layer. How can I copy the mask to alpha channel to the layer of an adjustment layer mask? Thank you.

Drag the Alpha channel down to the channel to load as a selection symbol.

Return the Panel layers, click the adjustment layer and choose an adjustment layer.

The Alp\ha channel is displayed in his mask.

  • Copy layer mask

Is it possible to copy a layer mask to another layer? The only option I must deal with is a group of layers I want with the same mask and make the mask file, but sometimes I want to copy the layer mask.

  • Why different size of the PNG-24 file format: vs deletion of pixels in the layer mask

I noticed in Photoshop CS5.1 and CS6 strange behavior when saving web files in the PNG-24 format.

    CASES1.

    I have a layer photo 260 x 360.

Create square 200 x 200 and layer mask to hide selection (effect: transparent square hole inside)

Save for web in format PNG-24 (transparency)-> 131.4 k file size

    CASE2.

    I have a layer photo 260 x 360.

Create the square Marquee 200 x 200 and delete pixels (effect: transparent square hole inside)

Save for web in format PNG-24 (transparency)-> 66,93 k file size

Both pictures got same transparent square hole, but sizes are so different. Using mask does not reduce the size of the file PNG24. Why is it like that, bug?

    mask.pngcutout.png

For cases 1 and 2 the number of pixels in the image is exactly the same thing then you must consider other factors to take into account the file size differences.

Assuming that the image is a RGB/8 image:

1 uses a mask which means that it is a picture of four channels that require 32 bits per pixel.

Case 2 has no mask is only a picture of 3 channels that require 24 bits of pixel.

If the content of the data in Photoshop is different for the two cases, and the psd for case 1 file size would be larger than in case 2.

In PNG, transparency of files can be specified by declaring the individual pixels to be transparent or an alpha channel can be added. Again, it is 24 bits per pixel compared to 32 bits per pixel.  If Photoshop, using enregistrer save for Web, creates an alpha channel for cases 1 and says the individual pixels to be transparent in the case 2, then the differences in file size that you can find should.

  • How can I copy a video to a different video track?

I've been fiddling around to find a solution to this, but nothing helps...

I have a video track containing a couple of clips. Now, I want to copy a clip and paste on another video track in the same order. This seems to be an impossible task...

    How can I do?

    Please enlighten me!

Right-click on the item in the timeline that you want to copy.  Select "copy".  Then select the scenario for the video track that you want to copy to.  Place your CTI (current time marker) in the scenario where you want your clip to get stuck.  Then go on your PrPro menu in the header, select EDITION > PASTE.  Voila!

What can you confuse and make it seem impossible is that you can right click on an item in the timeline and "copy".  But when you go to right click and 'don't stick' no context menu opens.  You can of course use the EDITION > COPY and EDIT > control STICK as well.

And what works even easier you can use your Ctrl + C and Ctrl + v commands  You can also copy and paste into the video track even and then just click and drag the new copy to any video track you want to.

All this will copy and paste your audio tracks as well.  If you want to just copy the video then use the Alt key by selecting and he will choose only the video or audio depending on what you are trying to select.

The basics are all well covered with Adobe and use to start:

  • Import of the results in the preview video even for different videos videos

    Hello

I use the latest version of Premiere Pro and have problems reading or working with imported videos.  The video source I provided is stored in a strange hierarchy where each file MP4 is in its own subfolder; so I need to make these in one or import the whole structure.  That part works.  The weird part is that, when previewing the videos, it shows and reads the overview even for different files.

If I place all MP4 files in a directory and then import it, it works.

I'm guessing it's a bug or something.  Displays the information here the best way to report the bug?

    Thank you

    San

The directory - import of these files Structure translates the same overview for different videos

    VideoFolderStructure-NotWorking.PNG

If I put the files in the same folder, it works

    VideoFolderStructure-Working.PNG

The nice thing in the subject using the (correct) method of Jim, besides that it works, is that more long records that were burglarized several files on the card (split clips), first recognize them for what they are (parts of a longer clip) and them will be important as a single clip, long breaks/seedless inside. There are many advantages for the workflow 'copy the entire folder, import with Media Browser'.

One of the problems with the import only some clips of different maps is that you can have multiple clips with the same name, such as 0001.mts and then the first can get confused. Using the method above, this means that unique clips are indeed kept unique in first and not combined with other elements of the same name.

    Thank you

  • Import of sequences of images to adapt to 1080 p video layer

Very new to Photoshop and Lightroom so forgive me if it's made clear... but I exported hand drawn animation of images from Lightroom and their import in the form of sequences of image in Photoshop and can't seem to get the right size to fit the preset HD1080p video layer. I exporting photos from Lightroom to the same 1920 x 1080 pixel dimensions and the sequence of images always comes out smaller than the size of the canvas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

OK, the thing is this - when you export your image from Lightroom, you have it set on "Resize to fit" 1920 x 1080. This means that the image will be enlarged or shrunk as much the current report width / height image (no stretch) to fit in the dimensions list. Apparently, your image isn't "in shape" 1920 x 1080. It appears to be from a camera, which probably has a 4:3 aspect ratio. Lightroom is not crop or stretch the image, it just enlarges or reduces evenly so that it fits in the dimensions.

To solve the problem, go to the Lightroom Develop Module and choose the Crop Tool (R). Then, change the size of the harvest up to 1920 x 1080 (16: 9), and you will see immediately that part of your image will have to be trimmed to fit the desired shape:

Once your image is cut in the shape of 16:9 aspect ratio, the export will completely fill the frame and images will be the full 1920 x 1080 as you hear it.

I can see your illustrations you might be sacrificing some important parts of the image to crop. It's a sad reality while you work in different proportions. It is always profitable start your work with the image format you want to use for the final production - if you know in advance what will be.

  • Paste an image into a layer mask does not work even after several approaches

I can't paste an image into a layer mask. I tried to keep 'option' by clicking on the layer mask (to activate the white), then "Control + V" to paste the image but it still places the image in a new layer. I tried to paste through the Palette layers without success (pasta in a new layer). I tried to use past special from the Edit menu, but the past command is grayed out. Any ideas for why it does not work for me?

  • I can't paint on the black or white layer mask

Hi all, first post here, so be gentle with me LOL!

Summer from agreement, with older versions of PS for years, but having just downloaded the demo for the latest CC PS, I find that I cannot paint on a layer mask, white, or black.

Everything that I did, as usual, is to open a new image, copied the background in a new clean layer and then applied a mask. However, trying to paint on the mask, I don't get what's going on, other than the History palette showing I used the Brush tool.

I absolutely everything I see on the brush itself checked and everything seems normal. I also checked the blend mode of the layer is set to normal, and it's...

Someone at - it ideas at all, I would be very grateful... cheers :))

Make sure that you do not have quick mask committed.

  • "Select inverse" equivalent - or a clipping on the top layer mask

    Hiya.

I'm looking for something in Illustrator that would allow me to do the equivalent of what a "select inverse" then delete, or would a "layer mask" in Photoshop. I haved tried various combinations of clipping mask and dedicated way without any acceptable results.

included is a screenshot of what I'm talking about:

I was given this file and it's messy. I am wanting to delete all points except those on top of the layer gradiented.  (as this second picture).

There is no living text. Currently, gradiented layer is separated the two layers and it has a line on that. Each wee point is its own form now too.

When I tried clipping or transparent traces or various pathfinder effects masks I ended with results that look like this:

    help with clipping mask 3.PNG

I am so at a loss for what to do. I tried moving layers around - which is at the top, which is located on the bottom. I tried to remove the red and black shadow-ish layers below; all sorts of other miscellanopus and so forth as well.

Any help would be simply amazing!

    1. Select all tasks and 'group '.
    2. Select the gradient objects and "copy".
    3. Stick in front of the Group Spot
    4. Make work path transparent "(Cmd/Ctrl + 8)"
    5. Small group composed of path and tasks
    6. Take the clipping mask (Cmd/Ctrl + 7)
  • Add a layer mask

    Hello

I came across this thread in the forum of items https://forums.adobe.com/thread/798304 and had the same question for the CC PS (I don't have the elements to see if this suggestion works there). I tried to add a selection to the layer mask to my pressing Shift/Ctrl and clicking on the thumbnail of the mask, but it does not work (the result has been to deselect the new selection and simply load the mask selection). Other/different way could there be to do?

    Thank you

    -David

What operating system do you use?

The same procedure, spoken in the post that you linked to should also work in photoshop cc

But it probably really can't load the existing layer mask selection.

After that you have the choice, you want to add to the layer mask, simply target the layer mask (click on the thumbnail of the layer mask to make it active), and then fill the selection with black or white.
