Copy to a micro usb flash drive

I plugged a cruzer micro flash drive and copied audio books and the air of my itunes library. Everything seemed to be there if I'm disconnected. When I went to reconnect to add I got the message, you will need to format it to use it. I clicked on the format, but he said that he could not. Now, the watch folder flash drive empty and I can't copy anything from my itunes for it.

  • You have problems with programs
  • Error messages
  • Recent changes to your computer
  • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Hi Gillrif,

Formatting deletes the data in the flash player.

Provide the exact error that you receive when you tried to format the flash drive?

You can run the fix it from the link below and check the result: Tips for solving problems of USB devices:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Tips-for-solving-problems-with-USB-devices

Also try to connect to another flash drive, check the result and let us know.

You can also try out diskpart and clean command that will remove the partition and then create a new partition of diskmgmt.msc, after which he will begin to work. Try the following steps:

1.to check the number of the disk to clean

(A) open the Start Menu, then right click oncomputer and click Manage.

(B) If prompted by UAC, clickYes.

(C) click on disk management in the left pane and make note of the disk # in the middle pane of the disk you want toclean
NOTE: For example, I would use1 disc if I wanted to use my USB key and clean player.

(D) look under the# disk (ex: disk 3) on the left side of the center pane and verify that it saysonline. If it isn't, then right-click on the drive # and clickOnline to make sure.

2 open anelevated command promptor acommand at startup prompt.

3 in the elevated command prompt, typediskpart , and then press enter.

4 in the elevated command prompt, typelist disk and press enter.

NOTE: This will give you a list of numbers of disk to select of.

5 in the high command prompt, type select disk # and press enter.

NOTE: Would replace you with # the disc number listed that you want to usepure on. For example, I want to use one of them on disk 1 (from step 1) for my USB key drive, so I typeselect disk 1 and press enter.

6. If you want to use the "Clean" Diskpart command

7when you are finished, at the elevated command prompt, type exit and pressenter. Close the elevated command prompt.

8 the disc will remain asunallocated space.

9 you now need tocreate a new partition or a volume on the disk to be able to use again.

(A) in the elevated command prompt, type clean and press enter.

NOTE: It won't take long to finish. Think of it as a quick format.

  • Laptop HP 15-R084NG: is it possible to copy a HP recovery on another USB flash drive support?

    Hello.

    Just a few questions please:

    1. when I do only once "HP Recovery Media" to a USB key, I can then 'copy' and 'paste' on another USB flash drive as long as the 2nd flash player has sufficient capacity?

    The recovery still works well?

I ask this question in case I have to change to another USB flash drive and I am aware I can only have a copy of the HP recovery.

    2. If this is the case, I then can also make a backup on a Western Digital external drive so that in case of malfunction of the USB flash drive, can I still transfer files to another USB flash drive?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

  • Some USB flash drives REFUSE to work in this 40TL963B

Hi all. I recently bought a new 40TL963B and so far I have found nothing wrong with her.

Except that... when I listen to it all the Satellite channels, I noticed thay were very different from my FreeSat box. Duplicate the layers, randomly arrested... etc. It made me want to not use the built-in satellite feature.

However, I found a program called ToshibaEdit which allowed me to manually change all the digital channels on the TV. Grand... I though. Until I met this problem-->

Inorder to change the ads, you must copy the TV channels on a USB flash drive, you can edit them on your PC. Now, it took me AN HOUR to do, because of two flash readers I used, none of them worked... I kept getting a "Write Fail" error. WTF?

The disks are formatted in FAT32, one is a 8 GB is 2 GB.

Finally, I tried an external 2.5 "USB 120 GB hard drive. Even if the disc is defective... This WORKER. I expect flash drives to work, to be honest, but all of them... the external USB hard drive worked.

In any case, I spent another hour sort channels, until I was ready to transfer the data back. And. Yes... the same problem. This time, I received an error "failed to read". Again, tried the external USB HDD... worked the first time.

Now, this HARD drive is faulty, so he'll be thrown... so I'm going to need a flash player to do it again if something happens.

And then... can ANYONE tell me why on Earth two appropriate, fully working almost brand new USB flash drives REFUSE to work in this TV, but a former, fairly well defective USB external drive MADE? In addition, the same flash drive that I tried to copy the data from digital channel with was also used for a backup of the Firmware... and it WORKED perfectly. It works also for use with the media player.

While this TV has a hatred of Flash drives all of a sudden?
Anyone can shed some light on this?

In addition, very quickly, TV seems to lose its TV settings every time that I bring the TV out of Eve. I'm going to the TV Dynamic and adjust all the settings, but he returned to AutoView and all settings back to 0. Is it a fault or is there something I need to do to 'save' the settings per channel?

Any help at all will be appreciated greatly.

    Hello

    > And then... can ANYONE tell me why on Earth two appropriate, fully working almost brand new USB flash drives REFUSE to work in this TV, but a former, fairly well defective USB external drive MADE?

AFAIK the 40TL963B TV supports a common HS USB 2.0 interface and memory flash can be formatted in FAT16 or FAT32 file system. So there is no specific requirement for USB flash memory

  • What is a Windows 8 certified USB flash drive?

I just bought my 3rd USB flash drive in the hope of being able to copy my recovery image. My computer would not use the first two I tried all ports USB 4 - port 2.0 and 3.0. This time, I bought a HP flash drive who said that she supports Windows 8. I understand that I should not use a Windows 8 certified USB flash drive. Before I open this disc, I want to know if it's a. If so, I will return it not open - unlike the first two I tried.

The States of package under requirements that Windows 8 is one of the necessary systems. For me, this does not mean that it is certified for Windows 8. Am I wrong?

    Computer: HP 500 - a60. 8.1 Windows (x 64)

    Hello

Your question has not been answered by Erico on one of your other posts?

If a piece of equipment is certified MS then it should be presented to MS for certification.  Some USB flash drives are marked on the package compatible with Windows 8, but this does not mean that the particular flash drive is "certified."

There is to many, many USB flash drives that work with Windows 8. Some have argued that, if the USB flash drive as a 'removable' device, so it should work with the HP Recovery Media Creator.  However, I recently discovered that one of flash USB 2 (team F108 64 G) drives that I is not set up as a 'removable device' when you open my ThisPc (myPC) and it works perfectly for me.

You're probably talking about Recovery DVD. No, file structure will be the same and you can't use the USB to retrieve the machine. You may be able to make a second series of DVDs for backup by sector-by-sector copy.

    Hello:

Looking at your other posts it seems that you have yourself painted in a corner.

Since there is no inheritance or the setting USB auto in the BIOS, your only option would be to remove the hard drive, then put it in a USB drive enclosure sata hard laptop, plug in another PC so it can be read, download the drivers there, you need and copy to you user profile on the hard drive removed.

Chapter 5 maintenance manual provides the procedures of withdrawal and replacement for the hard drive.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03733656

Reinstall the hard drive, run the drivers, and you should be good to go.

These would be the drivers you need for your model...

I just bought a Split 13 x 2 13-m110dx PC that came with Windows 8. If you scan directly on the USB key using the Control Panel, you are limited to the use of JPG or PDF format.  To analyze the TIFF, you will first need to analyze the images on your computer, then copy them to the USB key.

  • USB flash drives do not work

    Hi all

I have a couple of USB flash drives. I recently got a new computer and none of them work. They work on a computer with Vista and a Macintosh running leopard OSX. I tried to install the drivers for them, but they do not work. I tried to uninstall the from Device Manager, but they don't always work. Also, one of them appears SOMETIMES (very rarely) and when he does works incredibly slow and unresponsive so. I searched the internet for each method I can find, but nothing yet. And they work very well on other computers. Can I use bluetooth USB and a USB mouse and pregnant too much work, but the sticks of memory will not work. Also do they not appear on Device Manager. I have Service pack 3 2002 edition came with the computer.

    Hello Hasan516,

Thank you for your message.  Have you tried formatting of thumb drives?  If you have data on them, you will need to copy these data to a computer first.
If you can see the drive but not access it under XP:
Open 'My computer' > click the drive and select "format...". »
When the Format window opens, scroll down the "NTFS" file system, and select 'start '.
Please let us know if this is or is not to solve your problem.

  • HP v210w - 32 gb USB Flash Drive Urgent help please :(

    Hello..

I have a HP v210w 32 Gb USB Flash Drive.

I was copying some stuff on it and all of a sudden it stoped working!
I tried to open it, but it is said that the partition is not accessible and the media is write protected!

I tried to format it, but it does not work! He said that the disk is write protected!

I thought it was damaged but when I opened the Disk Manager, he was there, healthy and active!

I tried using "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool", and it has detected, it failed to format

I also tried to use partitions such programs as 'MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition' and 'EaseUS Partition Master' and they detect it as an active reader and healthy! and I can delete it's drive and recreate it, but nothing happens after the application of changes!

What is the problem with my Flash drive?
I have it only 8 months ago

is there a solution or hope to fix it and make it work again?

    Hello Meleha,

Try this to see if it helps.

    Reach
    http://www.PNY.com.tw/index.php?CLS=2&mode=download

This version corrects HP usb readers that have read-only problem (unable to write to the USB because it says as its read-only).

USB Flash Driver Format Tool (Ufix-II) is supposed to be the fix more successful by both programs.

You might need to 7 - Zip installed to extract the .rar file if Windows cannot open it.  It's a free program.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

You will extract the downloaded file "RecoverTool_V2.00.42_M1223 8CE.exe" and run.

In order to manage the partitions on a hard disk in Windows XP Home edition, I use disk management, which allows me to set sizes of partition and DISKPART, which allows me to CLEAN the MBR or the whole disc. No idea why I need both.
