Andrew, thanks for your response. I tried all that. What happened... I was looking for solutions, I started having problems with my FireFox browser, then my IE browser. Then I noticed other problems of stability. Not sure what caused it, but I decided to just go ahead and restore my Win 7 in original factory condition and X 5 installed without a hitch. NET 4 doesn't load until after installation, so I don't know if it's causing problems, or if it was just my whole system. I think that a program back - up my data online in real time could be the cause of stability issues. In any case, five hours later, I got this job, and I don't think it was a problem of Corel.

Once again, thank you. Offer good advice!

  • Cannot save WordPerfect files

I just got a new computer with Windows 7 preinstall. I have install my software Wordperfect 11. I'm not able to save all the files I create. When I try to save a file, it opens a window that asks you where I want to save it and the name of the file. Also, it asks for a file type but does not allow me to insert a type. It's completely totally different from what I was doing when I was with Windows XP. Do I have to upgrade to WP to be able to save files? Windows 7 supports WP 11? Is it possible to go back to the old method of saving WP files in Windows 7?

  • Does anyone know why EP 11 will not import Corel Photopaint (v.  (13) jpg?

Earlier versions of the program had no problem doing this. There seems to be no problem in jpg created elsewhere, but since a large part of my work is done in PhotoPaint, it really becomes a burden. Many of these files are quite small, so I'm pretty certain size is not a problem.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Terry...

Thanks for the suggestions. They led me to the solution: the default output for PhotoPaint is apparently CMYK. I changed RGB, and that solved the problem.

BTW, PhotoPaint is not obsolete. The latest version was only offered with the latest CorelDraw Graphics Suite.

    See you soon.

  • 3D graphic referenced in an anchored frame

I recently bought TCS5 after TCS2, then I'll try to come to speed with the new features. One of the features I've seen rented has the ability to use 3D graphics in FM files which output in PDF format could provide an interactive 3D-graphics in the PDF file. Looks like I remember seeing Jaquez RJ demo'ing who a few years back, so I don't think it's quite a novelty. If all goes well a feature more mature now.

Where the proverbial rubber hits the road

Our hungry Mech engineer uses SolidWorks to all CAD drawings. He can give me a PDF file that holds all 3D interactivity indeed when I open it in Acrobat XI. Cool. Sweet.

I have the Technical Suite CorelDraw X 6, because the PTB decided it was more affordable than CS6/AC. I can import a DWG or DXF file into DrawX6, but it's a bunch of 2D vectors lines; much is lost.

So the fastest way to get an interactive graphic 3D FM would take the PDF 3D that generates SolidWorks and inserting it into a framework anchored in the FM as a graphic referenced, right? When I do that, nothing shows up in the anchored frame, even if I had just checked the 3D PDF in Acrobat. If I double-click the inserted PDF object referenced to the anchored frame, it spawn in Acrobat as an interactive PDF. However, if I record FM PDF, the PDF that comes out is not the image in 3D at all.

I checked the completely useless Adobe online help and can't find diddly about it. (I wish that were a surprise, alas, some things still have not improved.)

    The bottom line

Can someone here please tell me what I'm doing wrong? How can I get PDF functional 3D inserted in a FM doc who can if display in PDF format retaining the 3D interactivity in the chart inserted?

    Thank you

    René

    Hi René,.

Everything is described in the FrameMaker online help. For FrameMaker 12

search for "3D" and you'll get a bunch of pages where this is, for example:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/using/WSd817046a44e105e21e63e3d11ab7f768cd-7fa3.htm l #WSCAB027D0-3396-4031-A731-5FA4F15B1306

For FrameMaker 11 the search for 3D does not find the relevant pages:

    #WSCAB027D0-3396-4031-A731-5FA4F15B1306 of http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/11.0/using/WSd817046a44e105e21e63e3d11ab7f768cd-7FA 3.html

If your developer has SolidWorks, then he or she should be able to export to U3D format.

As far as I know CorelDraw Technical Suite X 6 only allows to import 3D graphics and

manipulate them in Corel Designer. It cannot export to U3D.

    Best regards

  • CorelDRAW X 3 crashes on the Satellite A300-1BZ

I'm moving to a desktop environment for my new Satellite A300.

The only problem I encountered is with Graphics Suite Corel X 3. It works fine on the desktop in XP and also on my laptop Toshiba no woman under Vista Home Premium. On the A300, it hangs in unpredictable ways. Sometimes it does not load, other times it loads and gets an error Vista immediately.

The error message is not specific and the program closes. I have Vista and X 3 fully updated to the latest versions of the service. So I guess the problem is likely to be the installation of Vista on the A300 programme.

Can anyone suggest where to look to fix this?

    Hello Peter

In my opinion, you should check the FAQ section of the software manufacturer. Maybe you will find some useful information about the configuration under Vista.
Have you tried to remove it and do fresh install?
Check what applications are enabled to auto-start? Try turning off all that you don't need.

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. All we have own OS configuration with different applications that run in the background.
In my opinion, providing the answer to that is nothing but the mission impossible. ;)

  • what takes my space in my computer?

I have defraged and used disk clean but have always no more room! I have 114 g' low s.i. load a lot of movies but I deleted more then half but I have STILL no more space left .i have even deleted the old files... I don't know what could occupy all my space, help please!

If you use this amount of space on a Windows XP computer - it is * your * stuff taking up by.  Windows XP with * sorts * installed applications take about 10 GB of space - usually not much more.  The 'all kinds of applications' would include office suites, graphics suites, video editing suites, etc.  Is more likely, whatever it is above the mark of ~ 10 GB * your * stuff.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...
(These instructions will be different depending on the version of IE that run you.)

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • Download and save the latest JDiskReport: JDiskReport R1.3.2
(Save it somewhere obvious and easy to find - such as your desktop).
(The file name will be jdiskreport-1_3_2 - win.exe.)
  • Restart your computer and log in.
  • Double-click the file jre-6u26-windows-i586 - s.exe (Java).  (Installation, (Yes if requested), fence, etc.)
  • Once it's done installing, restart your computer and log in.
  • Double-click on the jdiskreport-1_3_2 - win.exe (JDiskReport).  (Next, Next, Install, finish, close the Readme If it opens.)
  • Once it's done installing, restart your computer and log in.
  • Run from the shortcut on your desktop.

I just installed the HP officeJet 7500 A device, which is supposed to be a compatible printer Post Script.  I use it with Corel Draw Graphics Suite X 3 Version.  Corel does not recognize the printer as being a Post Script printer when I try to print a file.

  • Adobe Illustrator can create this kind of arts?

Hello people from Adobe, I want to draw and color fancy stuff.

Ultimately I want to draw something on this level:

http://media.Blizzard.com/wow/media/artwork/trading-card-game/series5/TCG-series5-006-full .jpg (with illustrator only, but if necessary I'm willing to switch to Photoshop)

But I want to go even further and animate such an image at this level:

Lady Vashj GIF | Create, discover and share on Gfycat

Adobe Illustrator help me to do this kind of arts? I don't have any sensitive tablet, so I choose to use Illustrator to photoshop, but I don't mind using both if which is recommended?

What is your opinion about that...

The thrust of this article is a "sales pitch" for vector graphics, based on the premise that a raster imaging software (Photoshop) is inherently more for use of a stylus and a vector program (Illustrator) is inherently more designed for the use of a mouse.

First of all, it's a false premise. The raster and vector prédatent pen tablets. I rarely use a stylus, but use raster and vector programs every day. Second, the use of a particular type of pointing device is unrelated to your question.

Consisting of (as article phrases it) "a splash of pixels," raster imaging lends itself to detailed texture. That is why it is used in photography. (It is not called Photoshop for nothing.) A vector is essentially a list of orders for forms of rendering.

But you talk more artistic style illustration original than the technical differences between raster and vector graphics. A wide range of styles can be executed to choose the type of program. Yes, raster imagery is metaphorically compared to 'paint' and graphics vector is equivalent to "drawing." But it's just an analogy, and you should not consider too literally.

Think about the foolishness of draw or paint grains of sand to a beach to draw. If working with a brush or a pencil, an Illustrator return individual grains of sand as a camera does. What he suggests a texture Sandy using nature of its medium.

It's that way with the creation of works of original art with vector raster graphics and Imaging. You use the nature of the medium chosen to suggest of things like texture, lighting, etc..

For example, go to Corel.com (I say this because that Corel is currently many examples for end-user near the root of the site) and click the link for more CorelDraw Graphics. Take a look at the combination of raster (including photography) and objects used in a single vector illustration.

Is no longer either / or. You must be proficient in both raster and vector graphic based on. Then you will discover what your particular illustration style (s) can accomplish in one or the other or both types of programs.

Everything I've read ADOBE users, ask for help seems not to get answers on screen 4 K support.
