Post print Script

I just installed the HP officeJet 7500 A device, which is supposed to be a compatible printer Post Script.  I use it with Corel Draw Graphics Suite X 3 Version.  Corel does not recognize the printer as being a Post Script printer when I try to print a file.

What is the solution?  Is there a post script driver I'm supposed to download or something?  Help... I did research on printers and try to get this problem solved for at least a week now.

Oh... and when I download a driver... where shall I put it so the printer will find and recognize?

How can I poster print using my officejet pro 8600plus? My 8500 had this feature.

Yes, the Officejet 8500 driver works at full capacity on the Officejet 8600.

You do not remove port 8600, you just right-click on the Officejet 8600, select properties from the Printer Ports and simply find what port the 8600 uses.  After writing this down, click Cancel to quit this game.  I suggest that you let the Officejet 8600 driver installed, you can install the version with the Officejet 8500 driver and simply select the printer you want to print time.

    How can you post print on a HP 7510? I don't see normal 2 x 2 or 3 x 3. I use
    Windows 7. Thanks, Sam

    Hi Sam,

The characteristic Poster printing has been abandoned for a long time and is no longer included with the driver.

Although it is not provided by the printer driver, you can use another printer driver in order to try to get the feature works as follows:

    1. In the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), type control printers in the Start Search box and press ENTER. The Printers window appears.

  • The 7520 has the poster printing option?

I bought a Photosmart 6520 and it doesn't have the poster printing option in printing preferences.  (Between what I want to print on 4 separate 8 1/2 by 11 sheets of paper)  The 7520 or any other HP printer has this option?

Did you say the list to perform the update of Windows on the screen of the pilot?  This should fill all the missing drivers, like the Deskjet 6980?  However, I believe that this same functionality is found in the driver of HP Deskjet 9800.

  • View 4 Post synchronization script exact sequence?

    Hello

I'm trying to understand the exact sequence of a deployment of linked clone. Especially for the message synchronization script.

I am facing a strange behavior. Sometimes when you connect to a desktop put into service for the first time, he asks to reboot the system and sometimes not. I refer to the same pool, based on the same replica.

I wonder if I should add a synchronization with a reboot in her message. But the question is: reboot will disrupt ongoing deployment process.

This is one of the reasons why I would like to know the sequences of a deployment.

Can someone bring some light on this subject?

    Thank you very much

    Eric

The postscript runs after the clone has been deployed for a restart should not affect anything.   Useful link for postscript.

  • post indesign script

    Hello forumers.

today I printed a document, and when I went to the House of printing, the printer told me that my pdf file was huge, so he recommended the next time I have to save my document as a PostScript, and then use Distiller to adobe that reduces file size

for the machines to print faster.is this correct? and if yes, how can I implement this post script?

    Thank you.

At Adobe, we are more strongly and respectfully disagree with the advice given to you by your printer. PDF creation via direct export to PDF is highly preferable to the creation of PDF through distillation of PostScript. There are certain circumstances where in fact you pouvez you end up with a smaller PDF file through distillation of the PostScript, but it is also true that these PDF files are generally of lower quality, the lack of support for dynamic transparency, color management and the ability to easily search and/or file editing of PDF in Acrobat.

The problem is caused when Windows creates the profile of the printer in the control panel that is not properly it create with drivers.

We will not completely uninstall all HP software, instead we will remove the corrupted Windows printer profile and reinstall.  Total time for this on an average computer is about 5-10 minutes to repair completely (including rebooting).

    1) navigate Menu start > devices and printers or Start Menu > Control Panel > printers

    (2) select every profile of the printer to the printer with a problem, and then select remove device/printer.

    (3) restart

    4) go to the Start Menu > all programs > HP > insert model # here > adding printer (or Assistant)

    (5) follow the installer prompts to reinstall the printer profile and it recreates the Windows printer.

    (6) run HP update tool in the start menu > all programs > HP if your printer install, reset later if necessary.

    (7) test printing google.com (uses very little ink when the test page comes out).

I would like to know if you have any questions or problems.

  • Problem with the CentOS post-installation Script

    Good afternoon

I use VMware Studio 2.6 to create a couple of CentOS 6.2 VMs.  A virtual machine is perfect, the other does not work it's "Script of post-installation of Application."  I find it a little strange because if I just copy the script from Studio in the virtual machine, it works fine.  But not when I'm deployign the OVF.  What?

The two CentOS systems are virtually the same.  the only difference is in the FULL domain name and host name lines where I grep for different properties of the FVO.

Someone has ideas how to debug this?  Thanks in advance.  I've included the script to post below.

    #! / bin/bash
    ###################
    # post.sh sets up a new system with the required configuration
    #
    # post.sh v1.0 - [email protected]
    #
    ###################
    # Variables - from the user entered in the OVF properties
    #
    FQDN = "/ opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_ovf_process - p |" grep new_hostname | "cut-d" "'-f4"
    Hostname = "/ opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_ovf_process - p |" grep new_hostname | cut-d ""'-f4 | cut d. "" - f1 "
    DOMAINNAME = "${FQDN #*.} '"
    IP_ADDR = "/ opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_ovf_process - p |" grep vami.ip0 | "cut-d" "'-f4"

    # Set SELINUX to disabled
    SED 's/SELINUX=.*/SELINUX=disabled/' / etc/selinux/config-i
    echo 0 >/selinux/apply

    # Set the host name
    sed-i "s/HOSTNAME=.*/HOSTNAME=$HOSTNAME/" sysconfig
    sed-i "s/DOMAINNAME=.*/DOMAINNAME=$DOMAINNAME/" sysconfig
    echo '$IP_ADDR $FQDN $HOSTNAME' > > / etc/hosts
    hostname $HOSTNAME
    service network restart

Hmm. This does not resemble a script of post-installation for me at all. This script is run at the end of the installation, but the VM has not been deployed yet, so the properties of the FVO are likely not useful (they are only put in place at the time of the deployment, for the * user * unit and you do this during the compilation, like the * author * the device.) The network parameters that exist in the envionment of the author are almost certainly not this as an end user * deployment * unit is lilkely to use; their domain, dns, and network addresses certainly not will be yours). Also, you don't mention how this script "failed", that might help narrow down the cause. Look at the debug log and the postinstall.log and see if you can find the real cause of the error. But in all cases, property OVF stuff you make here is not part of the postinstall script. Instead, it looks more like something that belongs in a script firstboot, although VAMI already does most of what you do with networking.

  • DeskJet 2546 b: Wireless print job stays in queue and poster printer offline after the upgrade to Windows 10

I write a fix I found for a pretty annoying problem involving 10 Windows and HP wireless printers.

My Deskjet 2546-b printer was printing OK wireless to the point 8.1 of Windows until that I upgraded my computer to Windows 10. Immediately after I upgraded to Windows 10, I could not scan, so I reinstalled the printer software and has worked for a day or two and then the printer would print not unless I restarted the printer or the computer - sometimes 2 or 3 times. This went on for a few weeks, sometimes it would be nice, sometimes, usually after the computer restarts, he would simply go offline. Once, he went offline 3 times when I was printing about 20 postage labels, recently he went 1 week without any problems.

Long story short, after a lot of troubleshooting and to help a friend to HP, I found the problem to be associated with the WSD/service Port in Windows 10. My printer still maintains a stable connection with my Netgear router (wireless to the printer light stays on blue) and I was able to scan from the HP software and I could ping the printer... but printing would be just stuck in the print queue (the spooler service) and the printer showed offline in the queue, hardware and windows devices , or when printing from a program like Windows.

I learned that if I went in devices and printers, until I sent a print job, if the printer showed offline, I could save time by restarting the printer simply and he would come every time (less painful) online.

But it's just a solution and not a solution.

Nothing worked... not even print and scan doctor. The final fix that worked was to define an IP address manually for the printer, and then I put the print driver to use a standard TCP/IP port.

Here is the step by step. Your printer must already be connected to your network (solid blue on printer).

Step 1: Make sure your printer uses a manual IP address

    (1) to obtain the IP address of your printer:

    • If your printer has a control panel with a menu, it's easy... Just look in the settings menu without wire/report and write your printer IPv4 address.
    • If your printer is not a menu of fancy and repower the computer and printer HP Print and Scan Doctor network menu display use (wireless), or you can connect to your router from a web browser (usually 192.168.1.1) and look at attached IPs (like me). Some printers can also print a report of the network when you hold down some buttons everything back up and running, but you will need to search the web site of the Internet or HP to find the process for your printer model - the report displays the IP Address of the printer.

    (2) once you have the IP address of the printer number, type this information in a web browser... like 192.168.1.x (where x is the last number of your printer)

Web page of the printer should find - otherwise, use another browser (you can use a tablet or iPad if you want). HP has several different forms of printing of web pages (embedded web servers) depending on your printer model, but they all have a large number of parameters.

    (3) since the network tab or section, look for a manual IP address configuration.

    (4) suggest an IP address or type in a new.  I've personally used suggest and then replaced by the last number 241. You want to use a high number, something in the order of 240 to 250 to reduce the risk of problems caused by your router assign this number to something else on your network. Note the 4 digits for the new IP address manual, you will use them later.

    5) click apply and close the web page of the printer.

Step 2: Make the print driver using the manual IP address of the printer

Open the devices and printers in Windows, right click on your printing device and select printer properties. Follow the prompts to get the WSD port and on a new local port...

    1) click on the ports tab.

    (2) add the Port.

    (3) click on after the first screen, and then click new port type.

    (4) enter the IP address of the printer.

    (5) next.

    (6) select the new port.

    7) click OK.

You have now two pilots displayed in the printers and devices window, you can now print... but you might not be able to scan and the HP printing software may not work as he might want to lets you add a new printer when you open it... If Yes, proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Remove print devices and install a new one.

Need to do this to get the software back HP synchronized so you can scan.

    (1) right click 2 print devices listed in the window of your printer and remove them by clicking on remove device.

    (2) open the HP printer Assistant software (from the icon on the desktop or you can search Windows by using the name of your printer).

    (3) installation/add a new printer... go fast and a new device icon is added to the printers and devices window.

    4) return to the printers and devices window and open the properties of the printer again for your printer icon.

    5) go to the ports tab (yet) and you'll see a new selected WSD port, select Port Standard, you created earlier in step 2.

    (6) you have now two print devices in the window (again), but now everything should work.

These two devices alone from here on out. Do not remove one and everything should work fine. At least it worked for me. I hope it works for you. I'm hoping a Windows update resolves this problem soon, I see many people who cannot print or scan wireless after they upgraded - not just the stuff of HP.

  • Malware poster, printing problem

I was helping a friend with a very aggravating issue.

My friend is running WinXP SP3 with four profiles.  Recently, the system was hit by a malicious program that touched a single profile.  I was able to remove the malware and bring them up and running successfully.  Unfortunately, a problem of printer appeared after the fact.

In summary, when a print command is sent from any program, the document appears in the print queue and disappears as if printed.  However, the printer prints the document.  I reinstalled the printer driver and software twice so far.  Whenever I have do the relocation, the printer works for the profile that I have installed since then but will not work for any other profile. (Yes.  In the installation, I checked that all users have access to the printer) I also re - run various antivirus scans and malware (MS Security Essentials, SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes').  All scans have prepared own.

I speculate that something can become corrupted or altered by the malware itself or cleaning.  I don't know where to go from here.  Create a new profile to see if it includes all the features?  Run a repair of the BONE?  All these sounds like stab in the dark.

Anyway, if someone has encountered an error similar to this one, I would really appreciate the help.

    Thank you!

To the right: this is the forum of material and Windows XP drivers

This is important because the SFC in Windows XP does not have damaged or /offwindir as an option.
Please read: KB310747 - Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe)

First of all, these options become available in Windows Vista®.

Run SFC in Windows XP, to a Windows distribution CD and the CD for the latest service pack (if one is installed).

From an Administrators account, type: -R, sfc/scannow

SFC calls for, first of all, your installation media, and then later the service pack CD-ROM.  If SFC wants to replace the files, leave.  If the SFC rejects your Service Pack CD-ROM, read the KB900910 Microsoft Knowledge base article.  Note that this article applies to SP2, but is also applicable to the SP3.  Just use your common sense and use SP3 where the article refers to SP2.

If you don't have a CD-ROM Service Pack 3, or order it (U.S. / Canada , Europe, Africa , Asia or South America ) from Microsoft or download the ISO (here ) and burn it.  Be sure to Select the appropriate language if you download ISO.  Note, I recommend that you install Service Pack 3 on a CD-ROM, rather than through Windows Update so that you pouvez use SFC with success!
