Hi Sonia,.

-Right click on the desktop and select "Properties".

-Change the type of theme to go from there and see if your problem is resolved.

-If in case he does not, then I think you need to run a repair Installation of Windows XP by using the disc.

Method 1: perform a system restore and see if it helps.

    System restore

Method 2: check in safe mode, if the issue not to persist in safe mode, and then put the computer to boot.

Step 1: start the computer in safe mode

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Start your computer in SafeMode (Windows 7)

Step 2: put the computer to boot and see if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • corruption of the icon

I used Photoshop 5.0 THE for several years and I am very happy with the product. The problem that I treat the Windows updates and how this program appears to have altered the operation of Photoshop.

What has happened is that the mouse tool icons have been corrupt when I try to work with an image. Instead of the standard icons, they now appear as matrix of dots images. The rest of the program seems to operate normally but I don't know for certain that I'm bothered by these corrupt icons.

I uninstalled the original and reinstalled the program from my system disk. No help. I downloaded the 5.0.2 update but it cannot find the program on my C drive. It recognizes the correct address but will not be installed.

I cleaned all my old files and saved all the images on a remote drive course. My computer has enough free space available and there are less than 15 programs on it. Which I use most often less than 5

  • display the icon mouse incorrect Photoshop 5.0

After a recent Windows 7 upgrade my copy of Photoshop 5.0 began to display incorrectly.

When you work in Photoshop a number of different tools is selected, and then the icon of this tool replaces the mouse arrow. These replacement tool icons are now corrupted and displaying a smaller version matrix dot instead, or not at all.

I've deleted and reinstalled Photoshop several times without success to improvement. I tried all the options compatibility without success. I even went back to a version of 2013 Photoshop restoration and corrupted icons still appear.

I did a full scan, deleted all unnecessary software, backed up my Photoshop files and worked my way through all of the suggestions of the Photoshop forum community, always without success.

My only option is to believe that somehow, the upgrade to Windows 7 is the cause of my problem.

    Please notify.

    Hello

If you suspect a Windows update to be the cause of the problem, then let us know the number of the update. Here's how you can find the number:

See the Windows updates are installed

I suggest that you do a system restore. This will allow you to take the computer to a date before the installation of the update of Windows. Check if the problem persists.

  • After you have installed windows software loses icon associations.

Nice day! I'm having a problem with icons after installing some software. Here's situation step by step.

    (1) my PC has 2 accounts - local (Administrator) and domain (with admin rights) - problem appears at the same time.
    (2) I tried to install 2 software - a) Google Sketchup Pro, b) steam (www.steampowered.com) - problem appeared in both cases. At the same time, I have these software on my other PC and it never done this kind of problems.
((3) just after the installation of a) or b) finishes - Office flashes and the icons of the .doc (x) (x) .xls, .pdf; icons to run Skype, Word, Excel, Acrobat and some other software appear as unknown file - software still works, opening files, but inches disappear. Same thing happens for top thumbs - they appear as strangers, while the software is running.
    (4) what happens then? I tried to delete IconCache.db via "cmd":
    Taskkill /im explorer.exe/f
    CD %userprofile%\appdata\local
    attrib-h IconCache.db
    Del IconCache.db
    Explorer
    > restart
Delete IconCache.db just doesn't help (all antivirus, network and system screens have been extinguished before it) - after reboot icons stay distorted.
Also tried variants that did not help too - with changing from depths of icons from 32 to 16 bit colors, small/large icons, manipulations through customization and options of the file with the display of the page instead of previews layouts, etc. - There have been described in this branch forums.
    (5) I tried the next order of steps that worked to fix things to normal (and it fixes the problem now only in this order):
    1. turn off all antivirus/brandmauer software
2 uninstall sketchup pro/steam (or possible software which can cause the same problem)
3 run the previous points system restore a few days back (return system for the "time just prior to installation ' doesn't work - only more earlier point work very well)
    4 restart the PC
-J' I need this way I get eveything was all of that "great" the exception of software before installing the software,.
What can I do else? I can assume this software I try to install changes something in the registry, possibly [HKLM] or maybe corrupted mime-type associations, but I don't know what I should look for and what to do corruption of type mime association IMHO is less possible then the registry because all the software works very well and if I open the file properties I see of program that opens - only the corrupted icons.
I tried to install the software that is required under the local administrator - problem stays, is not the problem of the rights of domain/local.
Also this note (I don't know may cause these problems or not)-after installing the OS I changed of owner of the HARD drive in the "Trusted Installer" options (which brand owner automatically during installation of the operating system) on my 'domain account '.
    Seems like it is.
    Hoping to get help!
    Best regards
    Alex.

    Hi Chris,

    1. What is the Biostar mother board model number?

    2. What are the specifications of onboard graphics card?

    3. have you updated the BIOS and drivers from the chipset?

Check if the Biostar mother board model is compatible with Windows 8 by clicking on the link.

Since you mentioned the problem on different versions of Windows 8. Either the card mother or graphics card is perhaps not compatible with Windows 8, or you must update the BIOS and drivers from the chipset. Contact the motherboard manufacturer support to improve the assistance on the update of the BIOS.

    Warning of the BIOS:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If the problem persists, you will need to update your graphics card. For more information, see supported by motherboard Biostar.

  • HP Pavilion P7-1534: Pavilion P7-1534 won't drive or CD boot

Hello!  I have a desktop HP Pavilion P7-1534 Windows 8.1 running with all the updates, also running ZoneAlarm and Norton Internet Security (basically only running Norton AntiVirus).  The computer started recently do not start.  Here, I was able to start fan (s) and what appeared to be the hard drive turns to the top and make a kind of movement of the head, but nothing else.   I've forced a stop down and then press the power button again, if often starts very well.  A few times, it took more than one attempt.   I backed up my system.

Once the system booted successfully, it doesn't sem to be any problem to launch system - reading and writing to disk, running the software.  For me, that doesn't sound like a record hard problem, but I didn't know what my options were to solve the problem.  Replace the drive would be expensive (1 terabyte disk), especially if the drive is not the problem.  For my TI could be the motherboard or something having to do with UEFI (if this is the current "BIOS").

I decided to leave the computer and no restart and was able to do as well.  Then the cursor changed to a few strange characters - looks like a corrupted icon, so I tried to restart, and that failed.

Now, the system does not boot at all.  I powered down and back up repeatedly without success.  I don't seem to be able to start in the UEFI, if possible, even that s.  I tried to boot into a DVD with the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool, but without success, either.  I opened the case and reconnect the cable from the drive to the drive and the motherboard.  Couldn't think of anything else to try.

Any ideas?  Thank you very much.

Nuccii, I apologize for the delay in answering.  After your last suggestion, I asked the help of a friend with techies.  He was able to verify that the food was good, memory was good, and the disc was good.  He was trying to see if he had access to a system in which he could try my processor.  He couldn't, but it took four weeks for him to get back to me!  I get to ask a busy friend who is probably receive queries from others, and who has a life.

At that point, it seemed that the main possibilities were the CPU or the motherboard.  Because when I was (barely) able to start before starting failed completely, the system ran very well once he had started.  I decided to take the risk and bought a mother Board of the same type that I had in my system.  (First time I replaced a motherboard, but I went slowly NS with care, have watched some relevant videos and made sure to mark where each connector went down).  The result is that the system is running.

Thank you for your support and suggestions.  God bless you!

  • ieframe.dll

What is "ieframe.dll? I can't update anything because this error keeps appearing.

I noticed this error on many systems XP with IE 8.
I was able to remedy this by importing the key to registry LNK. Install malwarebytes and when you receive the class not registered error click ok. Do not update or try to run malwarebytes
    Download
Extract and run the registry key and click YES to import. Restart the PC or restart explorer.exe alone. You should be able to run mbam.exe C:\programFiles\malwarebytes file now.
IEframe.dll corrupt has somehow too corrupt icon. Another difficulty, can be used should just copy the mbam.exe file on any system vista or windows7 C:\programFiles\malwarebytes and paste it into the same location on XP PC with the question.
Manually uninstall IE 8 during the normal uninstall does not work
Navigate to C:\Programfiles\Internetexplorer. Delete all files and folders inside. Go to C:\windows and delete the folder from IE 8 updates. Restart the PC and install IE 8. ignore if deleted files regenerates or you receive an access denied when deleting files.
    Good luck
