Cover (active Frame) alarm SHOOTING when wide screen

While my application is in Active Frame mode, I have an alarm that fires based on a set of users. The user gets to set the interval on how often updates the screen of the frame of the cover.

When debugging my application using the Alpha of DEV, I noticed the continues to fire even when the screen turns off alarm. To help reduce battery drain I would cover alarm to stop cooking when the screen turns off and start over when the screen is back on. Is this possible?

The alarm I set is: QNXSystem.system.setAlarm (1000 * alarmTime, True);

IowWindowEvent.WINDOW_STATE_CHANGED allows you to control exactly if your app is only minimized or totally hidden, so you can cancel the events system, while they are not necessary (IowWindowState.THUMBNAIL, IowWindowState.HIDDEN, and IowWindowState.NORMAL

My app: Get set - get up!   Get ready for the revolution snooze.

  • GroupDataModel in an active Frame (aka Cover)?

    Hey guys,.

    I have an active frame for my application that uses a simple ActiveFrame class (derived from examples on the ' net).  He received an ImageView and a label.  in my main.qml I connect the signal of thumbnail() to an onThumbnail() function and send the text to the ActiveFrame class to update the label by a Q_INVOKABLE update() method.   Everything works beautifully.

    I would replace the label with a ListItemView that is attached to a GroupDataModel in my main class (a class of client Manager 'work').

    How can I go on the passage of the GroupDataModel to the SceneCover?

    the job manager and the scene covers both are exposed to QML via setContextProperty.

    Can I put a GroupDataModel as a property on my SceneCover and set it with a Set accessor method?

    is there a better way to do it?

    EDIT: update, I tried simply adding a ListItemView to the SceneCover.qml page and some properties Label.text of binding to the property of the presentation object workManager representing the GroupDataModel, but the ListItemView on the SceneCover is empty.

    Thank you!

    J

    OK, solved it myself.

    First of all, in the applicationui.cpp file, I put the parent to my WorkManager object and the SceneCover object:

        // Create a WorkManager
        WorkManager * workManager = new WorkManager(this);
        qml->setContextProperty("workManager", workManager);

        // Active Frame
        ActiveFrame * activeFrame = new ActiveFrame(this);
        Application::instance()->setCover(activeFrame);
        qml->setContextProperty("activeFrame", activeFrame);

    Then, in the constructor for the class ActiveFrame, I find the WorkManager and define a context property.

        qDebug() << "ActiveFrame;:ActiveFrame(), my parent is " << parent;
        wm = parent->findChild("myWorkManager");    QmlDocument *qml = QmlDocument::create("asset:///SceneCover.qml")
                .parent(parent);
        Container *mainContainer = qml->createRootObject();
        setContent(mainContainer);    qml->setContextProperty("myWorkMgr", wm);

    After having done that, I can access properties, in particular, the GroupDataModel property of the WorkManager.

    not sure if it's the "right" way to do it, but it seems to work reliably.

    see you soon,

    J

  • Bluetooth freezes when the screen turns off

    Having a problem with the Bluetooth on my pre. I coupled it with a Plantronics Voyager 855. Initial pairing works very well, but after the screen on the pre turns off, the connection goes bad. When I turn the screen back on, the Bluetooth application on the phone always displays the connected headset, but it is not. If I try to play music, there is no sound, and if a call comes in, I can hear the person on the phone, and not on the helmet.

    About 30-45 seconds after the screen turns off, I hear the high tone of the headset which means that it has lost connection. I don't think that the headset is bad. It worked very well with my previous phone.

    If I have music when the screen turns off, the connection is very good. It's like, when there is no active communication between the phone and the headset, and the screen turns off, the bluetooth on the phone goes into a blocked State. I can restore the connection by turning off bluetooth on the phone and then on again. It reconnects to the helmet, until the next time the screen turns off.

    I tried this to get a better idea of the problem...

    If I remove helmet > disable bluetooth phone > turn on bluetooth on the phone > put the headset in pairing mode, it pairs fine.

    If I remove helmet > disable bluetooth phone > turn on bluetooth on the phone > turn off the screen > wait 45 sec > turn on the screen > put the headset in pairing mode, then it does not.

    Again, it is like turning off the screen causes the bluetooth of the phone hang. Given that the screen turns off fairly quickly, I basically disable bluetooth phone and back on every time I want to use it.

    Any thoughts?

    My problem is solved.  Turns out that I had a defective unit.  He traded last night, and it works fine now.  Got the yellow box this time.  First of all, we had the black cover.

    The swap was a little complicated.  I bought in a store of absolute Wireless in Garner, North Carolina.  It is a reseller of third party.  They did it to a Sprint service center to have a technician "certify" the default before they would replace it by car through the city.  And of course, the service center couldn't do the replacement, so I had to go back through the city to the point of purchase after they certified it.  Best of all, the procedure of "certification" involved explaining the problem to the technician for about a minute, she agreed with me that it was malfunctioned and his writing his employee with the ID on the back of a business card to bring back me to the first shop.  She has not yet turn the phone on itself.  She said pretty much the guy to the absolute Wireless has been a * beep * by sending me to it in the first place b/c, we could just do this by phone.  PITA BREAD.  But I suppose it is, that's what I to do not buy directly from Sprint.

  • Waterfalls: NotificationDialog in the active Frame

    Hi @all,

    I want to implement a "alarm" - functionality of my application, which displays a Notification dialog box in some situations. I get the job of Notification dialog when the application is in the foreground. However, the application will be often minimized. I tried to create a Notification dialog box in the active Frame, but it is not displayed.

    Now my question: is it possible to display a Notification dialog box, while the app is an active Frame (and how)? I think that it should be possible because it is an important feature, but I couldn't make it work.

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    Peter

    OK, I found the solution on my own. It is possible to display active frames notification dialog boxes. The implementation is the same as put forward app. My problem was that I got another error that prevented the projection dialog.

  • Questions about a range wide screen color

    I have a range wide screen, and I experienced issues in color between color, management applications, and those who do not have color (like IE, or even the OS Win itself - displaying icons etc.).
    I calibrated the epic screen with Spyder and applications that manage the color work fine, but when I view the same images in Internet Explorer or windows default viewer, I get oversaturated colors.
    I discovered that this is because the default system uses sRGB as the color profile, so when an Adobe RGB profile equivalent is sent to the value default sRGB - system based, it "compresses" the colors with the result the supersaturation.

    I found a frame that I think should be the case (see the screenshot attached), but it makes no difference when going to "wide gamut RGB", nor the monitor profile (which is also wide gamut).

    Could you please tell if there is a way to set up in Windows 7 if the colors are displayed correctly in the managed without color applications?

    Under color management, the device profile has the default value of the system (sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1)

    Hi Helen,

    Different types of devices have different color characteristics and capabilities. For example, your monitor may display the same color scheme that can reproduce a printer. This is because each device uses a different process to produce color content. Scanners and digital cameras have different color characteristics. Even different programs sometimes interpret and process colors differently. Without a consistent color management system, the same image can look different on each of these devices.

    I suggest you try the steps from the following link and see if that helps.

    Change color management settings

  • I'll buy a range wide screen for the right reason?

    I currently shoot Adobe RGB, correct color using XRite color passport (when I can), test in lightroom and print using a Canon Pixma pro 9500 mk2.

    I use photo munki color to match my two monitors to my printer and I have enough happy with my results. However both my monitors are sRGB, during proofing I often get warnings from the range of monitors.

    My plan is to keep a sRGB for the web and games and replace the other monitor with a range wide screen.

    I get a new monitor independently, so I was wondering if I should get the following screen:

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/GP/product/B00B1QTZOE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8 & PSC = 1

    for the following reasons:

    1. The only thing in my workflow that can not handle a wide range is my monitor
    2. It is seems the best value for a range wide screen
    3. I think I can use my existing hardware standard to create profiles to keep constant color, so if the monitor is calibrated in the factory is not relevant
    4. The calibrator built controversial material is not a big problem for me because I have my own equipment

    Am I missing something?

    Should I spend the extra money on a NEC or an Eizo?

    I'm not a professional; However I like to shoot and print. I want to print to be the best it can. I understand that I can get good results with sRGB workflow, but it really upset me when I want to print a photo that clearly my monitor struggles to make.

    I always recommend Spectraview 272 - if you have the money for it. The only one to compete with it is the Eizo CG 276.

    It is much more than the range, it's true colors, good tonal separation all the way from 0-255 and consistency from corner to corner. And hardware calibration ensures absolutely smooth gradients without color or tonal stripes.

    There is no problem; It is a myth strangely long life. There was a little problem with pre - SP1 Vista, where the LUTE was put at the door when the monitor went to sleep or the UAC has been invoked. It has been corrected in SP1 and has never been seen since. The only other possible problem is a Stallion without support monitor multiple (as the Spyder4express), but you can't blame Microsoft for this.

    Here's what I've tried:

    Hey Buddy,

    Then I read a little in some forums on your question. The first question is: have you updated your BIOS? It's really important because many users in the forums Ubuntu has reported that, after that an updated bios updated widescreen stuff work. Since the you´re works with Vista, I would say firstly you update your BIOS, remove all drivers display with 'Driver Cleaner Pro' and then try the drivers from the website of intel again (as an especially for this wide screen problem)

    Maybe it works, I confused why it doesn't since this chipset is designed to pull many of the higher resolutions and even all res widescreen 1680 x 1050 and 1440 x 900.

    Just give a short answer on your situation. :)

    Welcome them

    Check with the manufacturer of your system, their books online and their forums (if any) than
    probably is by design. No matter what is not a function of Windows.

    But that does not affect the sensitivity, or if he stops everything which the hardware manufacturer

  • App background stops when the screen turns off

    I wrote an Android app with a Service that receives events from the LocationService and the accelerometer and always try now to wear 10 BlackBerry. Tests on a Z10 STL100-2 10.1.0.4181

    Once the unit has remained unchanged for some time, the location listener is not registered, in order to save energy, and re-recorded a trip again.

    Don't worry, this can be disabled via the visible activity. But it must continue with the last State (start/stop) after the reboot.

    I even magically figured out how to add additional permissions for the manifest of BAR: "_sys_android_autostart_service" and "run_when_backgrounded".

    But as soon as the screen turns off, my application stops working. No location or accelerometer case being received. Turn on the display again, everything back to normal.

    It is meant to be a question about the accelerometer, but I could not find in the tracker.

    So my questions are:

    -Is it possible to port Android continue to receive events location when the screen is off?

    -Is it possible to port Android continue to receive events of accelerometer when the screen is off?

    -Will my service to continue to operate if more than 8 Apps began after mine? (And the user did not hit the close button)

    -The "headless" 10.2 mode help? (I currently only test with 10.1, because my service provider has not yet unlocked 10.2)

    -Finally, this would be possible with a native application? (I could port the port iOS... lots of fun...)

    I'm working on a deal in the next version, similar to what we're doing with location requests (in other words, activate us the background mode if your app acquires a partial wake lock).

    Edit:

    So my questions are:

    -Is it possible to port Android continue to receive events location when the screen is off?

    (Yes, but you must hold a wake lock).

    -Is it possible to port Android continue to receive events of accelerometer when the screen is off?

    (For the moment, no, but I'll change that, so it behaves like location.)  Mind you, this could be used to work on old revisions of the software until the native sensors team added a background of sensor mode which is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled).

    -Will my service to continue to operate if more than 8 Apps began after mine? (And the user did not hit the close button)

    (There are a lot of thing that matters if your Services happens to run or not, which is not limited to, but includes the number of applications already running and the status of the device memory).

    -The "headless" 10.2 mode help? (I currently only test with 10.1, because my service provider has not yet unlocked 10.2)

    (No, it's a native thing.  Your application is already technically without head)
