CPU memory

Hello

the memory of my computer hangs and computer screen is to say "will monitor", to sleep and there is no discount on.  I got it fix three times already and he still occur.  What is the cause of this problem?

I just got back from my CPU two weeks now after that it has been fixed and the problem occurs again.   I did have the chance to download all the programs again.

I urgently need help because I'm tired to get this fix.  Can you help me?

What is your computer brand and model?

What version of Windows is installed?

Event Viewer reports

1. normally, when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point to find a solution. More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.

2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.

4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Click the copy button to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

5. He cautioned against three types of reports, information, and reports errors. In most situations, it is the error reports that offer the best information but sometimes WARNING reports provide useful clues.

6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.

7. in the individual reports the most important information is the event ID and Source such as these help when looking for help on the internet. The description is just as important and copy the exact text to use as search criteria greatly helps achieve better results when using Google. Not paraphrase descriptions when other people asking for help.

  • How is collected JVM parameters (CPU, memory, etc...)

I read a lot of documents, and I'm still a little confused about how it works. How are the CPU, memory, etc. of the measurements taken on the JAVA virtual machine. Is there on the thresholds of the box set up and if so where can I find it. I don't know if I'm wrong or not, but on a system Linux, OS-Linux_System agent collect this data?

JVM parameters are collected by the Java or JMX agents using JMX, both agents use this JVM mechanism to collect processor memory and thread information. Monitoring of the OS is usually collected by agents of the BONE (os-linux_system is inherited, Infrastructure Officer is the new mechanisms). The threasholds are set out of the box like registry variables (you can see their names included in the rules).

  • addition of CPU/memory for desktop computers in composer linked clone pool

    Hi all

I want to add more CPU/memory for desktop computers in a pool of composer linked clone but I want to build a pool of test out changes first, while the production area is still in place. Can you screw with virtual material in the main image and then take a snapshot and build the pool of test out of it without him bring the clones in the production pool?

I think that the process would be as follows...

    1. modify the parameters of material on the main image of Win7

    2. run the main image and let it recognize the CPU and additional memory (probably needs to restart the CPU I think)

    3. close the main image and take a snapshot

4 create a new pool of test off the coast of this new snapshot

    Thank you!

Yes it may seem straight, it won't cause any problems. If you want to be very careful with your prod environment, you can just clone the base image and make your tests on it.

    Hi LucD

I'm looking for a script more which is basically watch resources pools which s VM CPU, memory, comments, DS or files VMDK into a CSV file instead of the HTML resource pool file. Could you please help me on this.

Your help would be very appreciated!

    Thank you.

Try like this, it will produce 1 CSV file with all the information.

    $report = @)

    {foreach ($cluster Get-cluster)

    foreach ($rp in Get-ResourcePool-location $cluster) {}

    foreach ($vm in (Get-VM-location the $rp)) {}

    $report += get-disk hard - VM $vm |

    Select @{N = "Cluster"; E = {$cluster. Name}},

    Hi friend

Here's the blog post detailed ESXTOP:

    http://www.yellow-bricks.com/ESXTOP/

There is a VCOPS product that can also help you to understand so many parameters. You can try the license of the Foundation which is free of cost. There is a lot of intelligence if you go for paid VCOPS.

VCenter graphs/stats can also help you as well.

  • CPU/memory of the ESXi host totally access & usage and temp CPU with PowerCLI.

    Dear all,

I am struggling with the CPU/memory reading of the host completely & information about the use of PowerCLI and the temperature of the CPU is also very useful for me. I used "Get-VMHost-name" to get VMHost to object, but cannot get its properties such as CpuTotalMhz, CpuUsageMhz, MemoryTotalMB, MemoryUsageMB.

And also do not know which object has temporary information of the CPU. Thank you!

You probably have a fairly old PowerCLI version (4.0).

We'll see if the upgrade solves a number of these problems.

  • Need a clarification on the where the share of cpu/memory really matter

Get these values to 'share' relative cpu/memory used by the layer host physical, right? and no layer of Resource Pool?

In other words, each physical host is running, say, 20 virtual machines and of those 20 there are various actions assigned to virtual machines (some is 'High' of other 'Normal' and other 'Low') due to the fact that these 20 are divided into different Pools of resources and we have committed 'High', 'Normal' and 'Weak' to different Pools of resources.  What are reservations guaranteed with a particular resource Pool, if VM1 on VMHOST1 is 'High' actions and VM2 on this same VMHOST1 is 'Weak' actions then VM2 will spend more time in "CPU Ready" than VM1 land, right?  While the actions of cpu/memory can get configured at the level of the Resource Pool, it seems to me they are really IMPORTANT to the physical host level (they relate VMs on ESX host specific, NOT the Pool of resources that they are a part of).

(my examples assume that all other things being equal, for example, that all VMs example are 1vCPU VMs)

Why this matter for me, in case you care, is because I have a provision described here and using the examples that I used in this thread, I think to increase shares of the resource 'FinanceProduction' to 'High' list and the list of resources of the 'FinanceTest' to 'Normal' better ensures that VMS in those Resource Pools can actually make the cpu/memory reservations and limits that I have assigned to them.  We see essentially performance degrade as we grow, but they are not approaching their reservation of cpu/memory.

REF: How to better make sure if there is a loser in a race to claim that it will always be a "non-prod" VM?

This is apparently a common misconception about resource pools (which I fell too), that assign three pools with low, normal and high action would divide the resources available in accordance with these rules, but they do only if you have the same amount of VM in each resource pool, which tend to not be the case.

Duncan Epping has written some good blog posts on it and yesterday posted a PowerShell script that should effectively deal with actions in your resource pools according to their content: http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2010/02/24/custom-shares-on-a-resource-pools-scripted/ (links to his previous duties are on the text). It would be nice if Vmware could implement a way to achieve in vCenter without the use of scripts since for me it makes the most sense for the management of resources quick and easy.

  • Limitation of the Virtual Machine's CPU/memory resources.

    Hello

My question on the tab "resources" with VMachine settings (I hope I picked the right branch here)

In this tab I put a booking/Limit for CPU/memory for current VMachine.

I have a cluster about 6 ESX servers with resource by default and a VMachine inside pool. VMachine have 1 CPU. Each ESX have 2 plugs with 4 core per socket. Each base equal to 2, 83GHz. Def.

In this case, which by default configuration for an average CPU for this VMachine limitaion - 132582 MHz? Because in practice ESX server can give only 1 CPU for this VMachine and this CPU will have 2, 83GHz only...

Also, I put 100% of CPU - 132582 MHz booking here... But in true VMachine will never receive this resource...

Same question about limitation of memory...

When this limitation will work? For what porpose such booking/limitaion here?

Re: But, if I'm going to make a mistake and this CPU for VM value reserve, which is more physical limitation - it reduces resources processor for other VMs on a value that is more than the physical limitation of the virtual computer?

No, the reservation only guarantees that if a virtual machine wants to take a large part of the resource at a given time VMware should give him.  If there is ever going to be a situation where the virtual machine is in fact to consider that much so it never gets allocated to this virtual machine and the amount of the resource remains available for other virtual machines to use.  Similarly, if the virtual machine just does not use the amount of the booking to a point in time, he let this resource can be used by other virtual machines.

If a virtual computer uses only 1 GHz on a core 3 GHz system, at a given time but thereservation is 2.5 GHz, 1.5 GHz between its use and booking that is not used at this time is available for other VMS to use.  That is only if there is a period of contention between VM and VM CPU wishing to use mean 2.8 GHz it would be guaranteed to get 2.5 GHz independently of the parameters of the actions on the VM from other virtual machines.

It is essentially the same thing with memory except that the memory usage is not as CPU flunctuate and VMware must also use more complex methods to reallocate the memory, but the leaders of the way in which it is shared using actions, reservations and limit is the same.

  • How to monitor the CPU, memory and i/o on the system

    Hello..

    Some body help me?...

    1. how to manage the monitoring of the performance of the system and the database during execution of ODI?
    2. how to monitor the CPU, memory and i/o on the system?

    TQ
    balleur

In an attempt to partially answer your questions:

    1. how to manage the monitoring of the performance of the system and the database during execution of ODI?

Monitor the performance of the application from a commercial point of view. As transactions per minute, or response time or time elapsed for the key events of the company. Monitor the activity of the material such that the CPU usage is not necessarily linked to the performance of your application. Performance should be measured from top to bottom - business first, then the lower levels until you get finally to computer equipment. Only if you get a problem to the next level - response time is too large, for example - you can go through the lower levels to identify the cause and fix it.

    2. how to monitor the CPU, memory and i/o on the system?

I personally use "sar" on UNIX-BASED or Linux, or rather "CFDCs" which is the system activity data collector. SADC will measure and collect data on activities on CPU, memory, disks, etc. and save them to a file in binary format. You can then extract these measures later for analysis using SAR (sar f sadc_file_name). The benefits of SADC are that it is light (these operating systems measure such things anyway, just CFDC records far), it records everything at once (with the exception of the network), it records the time stamp too for each measure, and you can analyze it later when you want to.

There are commercial products out there too who do similar work, with additional features, such as the integration of Oracle and the relationship between several systems. TeamQuest is an example, but there are others also. (I do not work for TeamQuest, but I used their product in the past).

  • Svchost.exe consumes 90-100% cpu memory

When I start my computer there are 5-6 processes svchost.exe and none of them use 90% above the memory of the cpu. There is that one, IE, idle system process that uses more than 90% cpu. But when I turn off my net by right clicking on the icon in the status bar notification area and select Disable, after a while, one of the svchost.exe process begins to consume more than 90% cpu. Also its members use is superior to 40 000 K and my computer responds very slowly.

Also as soon as I finish this process my computer responds normally.
Also when I shut down my computer shows blue scree an additional message «closing network connections...» ', this isn't usually comes.
    Please help me...
    Thank you

Are you now a statement is not a problem.

    1. the amount of memory in the "working set" of a process (10 000 K = 10 MB) should not be a problem for most systems.  Even an old computer running XP probably has at least 512 MB of RAM installed.

2 PIDs are specific to your system.  Reports that a process has 912 PID doesn't mean anything to anyone else.  The svchost.exe instance you mention hosts most of all instances of svchost services into a Windows XP system (this is the "netsvcs" of services group), is not at all surprising that he needs more memory.

Buried in this long list of services is wuauserv, which is the Windows Update automatic update service.  It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is the service that used a lot of cycles CPU when you shut down your Internet connection.

If you 'end process' for this instance of svchost, most of the things that will stop working are related to the network, which may be important to you if you have disconnected your network connection.  Not all, however, are related to the network.  For example, the sound does work more (AudioSrv).

For more information, go here--> http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-xp-x86-32-bit-service-pack-3-service-configurations/ names when you run tasklist/SVC are the "service name" rather than the name, "display" then click on the header in the second column of the table in the Black Viper to sort by service name.  You can click on the "display name" of the any services to learn more on this subject.

  • HP Pavilion a6519fh: CPU/memory

Hello everyone, I am upgrading my HP Pavilion a6519fh PC, until here, I improved my diet from 250W to 400W and added a graphics card Geforce GT 640 P/N 01 G-P3-2640-KR. I want to improve my original cpu E2180 Pentium for Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9550 which should be compatible with my question is should I also ugrade my memory too? Right now I use 3 GB of memory that came with this PC. I am concidering 10 64-bit Windows installation later. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hello

As you plan to move to the 64 bit OS, Yes, add more RAM is a good choice, but your machine cannot see more than 4 GB of RAM after switching to 64 bit.

    Kind regards.

Can anyone provide ideas for what is the problem and how do I cancel?

    Thank you.

Sounds like your collector or connector service is not running correctly.

-Check that both services are running.

-Have you changed your password for the account used by the collector?

    -Collector.log check for errors

  • Computer using only 50% of the CPU memory and 124%

So when I'm doing intensive tasks (that's to say working in first and then simultaneously connecting clips to compositions of AE and work on them) seemed to me recently to hit massive roadblocks. So ive been editing a project for the last 2 weeks with silky ease. Render times were really low and I was doing enough after things heavy effects. Now all of a sudden in order to export a clip that took me like 1 or 2 mintues before takes like 10 minutes and my computer says that 124% of my cpu is used, and only 10 GB / 32 GB is used. When I RAM preview the same thing. How can I get my memory to be used at 100%? Why the body/AE is now tend to be so slow. Is there something wrong with the program or my PC? How can I optimize those programs so no foreign interference performance?

Thanks and any help would be really appreciated.

There is no way to AE or Premiere Pro use 100% of 100% of the time resources. No programs are built this way. You must ensure that you do not die of hunger for other applications of CPU power or memory. I saw so many screenshots of the AE memory settings where people thought they were doing a good thing when they drove their memory allocation in AE so they don't leave enough background apps to function effectively. Think in multiples of 4 GB of memory. If you are running an earlier version of AE, which allows you to assign a CPU to ensure that there is at least a pair assigned to other apps and that AE will use anyone who is left.

Usually if you follow the recommendations of Adobe (Optimizing after effects of performance - Support Adobe) you will do quite well. Choose the good readers of storage, don't fill them past 80%, close all applications that are not necessary for your work and to organize your projects and the workflow in an effective way, then you're not made things twice or construction projects that would make in much less time if you made and replaced complex effects rather than rely on dynamic links or nested comps for all. You should also understand what kind of success your source footage is added to the project. Highly compressed source files (especially mpeg video) can easily take 3 or 4 times more time to decode as a format of good production. Stabilized warp clips must be rendered, clips that have temporal as mixing time, interpolation effects and other effects of time based will probably benefit PreRender before you apply other effects and make you save a lot of time in the long run. I can't give you a list, you need to know some things on your own and you need to know when the render time of 4 images per second is a good time rendering and when 5 minutes per image is also a good. As gain you experience, you will get a handle on it.
