  Sorry, I misread it.  There is no contradiction.

  This sounds like the LED link may have failed.

  You can contact HP for warranty service to make arrangements for repair if you wish. The downside is that there will be replacement of motherboard of envy. This means that there will be long you won't have your laptop until it is returned to you. On the other hand, the link led is not so important if the wired network connection works, so you'll have to decide whether it is worth sending for this fault.

  Imen quite so much as the title, when I try to put my computer to sleep the screen turns off but the computer is still running. My computer is a HP pavilion dv6 is a little more than 3 years.   When Stand By resumeing, power settings can sometimes affect the State of the device as it back to normal.

  I recommend that you check your Power Options > Adanced settings > USB suspend setting > disable

  I think they know exactly what they are selling, dude. It is perhaps not known to you that there are many different models of laptop computers A500 with a different hardware configuration.

  I just got the phone two days ago. The first when turned on by pressing the power button. the small sensor that above the F keys were all lit and when I pressed them Flash and it stay on again. Also the above the mouse/Touchpad sensor and satellite on the lower left corner logo lit up.
  Then I found some software toshiba is not suitable and I uninstalled applications.
  Then I realized that these sensor lights are out now, they work, but they are not on all the time, only when I press it. Before they were all lit like the power button as well as the logo and the light above the touch pad.

  Do you think the problem is that I uninstalled some of the toshiba applications or is it something else? If it is a demand that it is?

  Don t think someone could help here in your case.
  No lights (power led, led battery nor ac DC plug-in led) means there could be a problem of serious material maybe the motherboard is missing.

  If the AC adapter is defective, then the laptop must always turn on using battery power ok, this is not possible if the battery would be too empty.

  So usually a technician first test adapter and should try to plug an AC adapter right in order to test this.

  But to me it looks like something wrong with a motherboard :(

  All of a sudden (I'm not exactly after what I was doing) I saw a switch in the SmartWizard and 1 single port was green. It seems that the switch worked very well and I have installed the latest firmware. Everything went well, but after I took off the power cable and put it back again the same problem appaers. Now I can do what I want, nothing seems to help to restart the switch.

  Is there a certain procedure to reset to use the reset or factory or pushbuttons for reset?
  Anyone has an idea why the switch is not complete booting?

  Donkey other ideas are welcome, thanks in advance!

  -Try to do a power reset. Here are the steps:

  a. press the reset button factory for 30 seconds, while the switch is on.
  (b) after 30 seconds, turn off the switch for 5 seconds but continue to press the factory reset button.
  c. after 5 seconds, the switch while you continue to press the factory reset button. Wait another 5 seconds.
  d. release the reset factory button. Check to see if it will boot completely.

  I don't know what model you have exactly, but if your laptop has a backlit keyboard, it should be ON by default.
  Anyway, keyboard light can be switched on/off by FN + Z key combination or changing the settings in Desktop Help > tools & utilities > function key > Backight keyboard.
