crackling audio/static

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505; Intel Core Duoprocessor T2050 (2MB/1.60GHz/533MHz)

120 GB hard drive, which is a year old.  The last two weeks audio has been "crackling" not only during playback of videos like YouTube, but loading programs are, at boot, the 'bumps' crackle also.  Yesterday, I played a DVD and the sound was very good, but still wrong when I went to regular computer.  I ran the audio Dell Diagnostics that someone suggested here in the forum and all the tests came back "ok".  I try next?  (I'm not big technical stuff.)  Please be specific if there are steps I have to take.)  Thank you very much

I just upgraded my iMac with OS X El Capitan. Now when I change my podcast, recorded in multi tracks, I hear crackling and static. When I export the file to a drive MP3 the problem isn't here. Any suggestions?

Also, now when I switch back between wavelength and multitrack forms, it takes seconds to change (he used to make the quick switch) and the rotation color wheel appears during the shift.

The attached note warning appears in a media window and hides. I wonder if it's related.Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 5.26.13 PM.png

You are using an external audio interface or map of its Apple built in?

In any case, El Capitan, from all reports, was a disaster in terms of audio performance.  If you do not have the latest version of El Capitan, download the upgrade... It fixes some of the audo related issues.  (But, alas, not all.)  It is not just an audition... many DAW and audio hardware companies have issued warnings not to go yet.  Indeed, the last bug fix worked on hearing for most users.

You can try to increase the latency/Buffer setting in Edition/Preferences/Audio Hardware.  There's a chance that might help.

In addition, you may need to wait for the next difficulty of Apple bug... or downgrade to the previous version of the operating system.

  • Crackling Audio Sigmatel and Broadcom Wireless

I have a Dell Inspiron e1505 laptop with 2 gig ram and 1.6 GB Intel T2050 processor and a new installation of Vista. I find during playback of music played or from the hard drive is there an intermittent Crackle in the audio when my wireless is enabled.

I have the latest ATI driver for the video, Broadcom wireless driver and driver Sigmatel HD Auio from Dell. I tried to uninstall everything audio and then having Windows find a compatible driver. The audio is always crackling in Vista. I reinstalled everything again with the same result.

I bought a Creative X - FI USB sound card but this cracked too well on the USB bus.

So I am at a loss to explain this, since the same material worked flawlessly under WinXP Sp3.

Can you help me? Thank you.

I found a solution to my problem which cost me thirty dollars. I bought a program called DriverCure Pareto Logic which is a DELL Wireless n pilot recently that fixed audio crackling for good. If anyone has this problem so this is a way to solve the problem of cracking.

  • Inspiron 17r - 5720 problems audio - static, hum, during playback of any audio and the sound of the speaker rear

Hi, I got my laptop for less than a week and there are several problems with the audio. When no matter what audio is supposed to play, only a static noise comes from loudspeakers. This happens when the music plays, or when a sound system is supposed to play.

Occasionally when I start the computer, the rear speaker makes a wooshing, a static sound (like a TV white noise) and will continue when I open programs.

Hello. Unplug the power cable from the computer and listen on the batteries. If the audio improve, then you have a problem of material known with this model.

The problem is documented in the FAQ Audio Choppy/jump. Look in the section for model Inspiron 7720 and 5720.

  • Dell XPS - crackling Audio

    Dell XPS M1530 laptop computer

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium 32-bit

    Intel Core 2 Duo T5550

    2 GB OF RAM

I'm getting audio crackling and jump on my laptop speakers. Usually a reboot temporaraly solves the problem, but I would like to know if there is a permanent solution.

So far I tried to reinstall the audio drivers, but this made no difference.

I searched the forums for a while, most people seem to think that this is caused by pilots of conflicting devices.

Does anyone know if Dell has provided a fix for this problem?

  • S205 and audio static; RAM

When I use headphones with the S205, I hear faint static audio (very low but nonetheless present) (such as a light, uneven pitch).  Use of the touch pad, a mouse, or a HARD drive access changes the character of static electricity.

Static electricity in is NOT affected by the setting of the audio volume (i.e., it does not get louder or softer... it's always the same) and when nothing is led through the audio system, static electricity is imperceptible (and the sound is undistorted).

However, when there is 'silence', it's really annoying.

I plugged my Klipsch Office system, and I don't notice the static at all (I know that it has not disappeared, of course).  But with headphones...

Is this a problem congenital with this product, or unique to my system (and, therefore, a warranty issue)?  Can someone check?

    * * * * *

I have the E-350 and 3 GB of RAM.  It's pretty catchy, all things considered, but appear to be limited RAM (especially when you scroll the Facebook newsfeed).  Intended to go from 3 GB to 6 GB of RAM (a simple $19,99).  Has anyone else done this and does it make a significant difference in performance (hopefully, the answer is Yes)?

  • How to remove the crackling audio? (sample included)

    Nice day!

I just recorded an audio with my zoom h1 connected to a mixer.

    Here is the example sample.mp3

    He recorded mp3 128 kbps

is it possible to remove crackling noise? using creation or hearing?

We limit the audio-12 to avoid it but the crackling still persist.

is the problem with my burner or with the mixer connected to my h1?

    first time experienced.

    Thank you!

This crackling is, for me, distortion... I think that this was recorded much too high.

You can probably reduce it during the hearing, using some of the tools here, but... I save time, just save it again. With settings appropriate...

  • T3600 Audio static Front

I have a constant level of noise from the input jack audio front panel on my new T3600 of accuracy, making it unusable.  The noise continues after the change of pilots, replace the motherboard, replacing all of the front panel. While leaving the issue unresolved.  I think it's maybe bad electrical design creating a ground loop, as in this case: http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/p/19306182/19663232.aspx

Dell now wants to trade my whole system, but I suspect half replacement could have the same problem.  Everyone knows about this problem? After three inept service dispatches, I am more upset by the effort required to solve this problem.

    Hi JoeBlunt and Victor Bravo,

As Victor Bravo said, it's a part that we can ship by mail and can be replaced by our customers. The steps to replace the i/o Panel are described on page 30 of the manual here: support.euro.dell.com/.../OM_en.pdf

If you or one of our clients have problems to replace this part, our technical support team will be more than happy to help.

Thanks again, hope you all have a good weekend when it comes.

  • crackling audio when watching videos, tube you etc.

    I have a Pavillion 11 x 365

on the first day during playback of videos via the web, I get an audible crackling, having contacted the Hp support initially pilots were re-installed which wasn't followed by a recovery of the system that also failed to solve the problem, I returned the laptop replacement who received the replacement it also displays the same problem. you use a headset or Bluetooth, the crackling speaker is not present.

It was suggested that maybe Adobe flash player but reading the forums is a minefield of technical jargon that doesn't really help me a lot.

HP support has been great, I have to say, but I need to resolve this problem on mine.

    Just an update,

  • Qosmio F60 - 14U - audio made crackling

Hi guys, I just bought a toshiba qosmio f 60 - 14u with a preinstalled Win7 and I had some problems with it.

When I play the audio (music is worse than movies) the sound is imbued with crackling as static, appearing erratically during the game. This happens as well with the speakers and the headphones on. It seems that the problem is internal, but I don't know if I can do something myself. Can you help me, please?

Thanks Hicksior for your comments. It's very useful information and I hope it can help engloute to check if noticed the problem is related to the use of WLAN.

  • low volume on iphone call 6

    Dear Sir

I own my iPhone 6 last year and she has completed the warranty

While.on is am.adjust too low volume level and also on request your Apple supports.

What to do please help me

    Hi, this may help.

    Increase the volume

While you are online, the volume with the volume buttons. Make sure that you see the on-screen volume indicator when you press the volume buttons.

    Check the connections

If your iPhone is connected to a headset, you will not be able to hear through the receiver using speaker or the iPhone. Follow these steps, after each.

    1. Make sure you have nothing plugged into the headphone jack or the dock connector.
    2. Go to settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off.

    Turn off the receiver

The receiver of the iPhone will not work properly if it is blocked or dirty. Follow these steps, after each:

    • Make sure that nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or a movie.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic on the front and the rear of the unit.
    • Check the receiver opening to see if it is blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean brush, dry, soft.
    • While you're online, turn on the speaker. If you still do not hear, then your network or the reception might be the issue. Try calling again later or somewhere else.

    Check the receiver

Follow these steps to see if the problem is with your receiver or your network:

    1. Open the dictaphone application and record an audio clip.
    2. Type in the upper right corner of your screen to switch playback between the speaker and the receiver.
    3. Press on to play the voice memo by the receiver on your device.
    4. If you hear the voice memo and it seems normal (without distortion, crackling or static), there might be a problem with your network or carrier voicemail system. If you still hear no sound good or bad quality, contact The Apple support.

    Update and reboot

    1. Restart your iPhone and the test again.
    2. If there is still no good or bad sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

Thank you in advance for helping with this.

I pulled out recently of new 8831 conference phones to replace my old phones 7937 spider, unfortunately phones know terrible incoming audio. Phones are on a branch site, connected via MPLS and registered at 8.6 CUCM to Headquarters. We have a total of 900 7940 phones that have no problems in any of the different location and band bandwidth/congestion is not a problem. The audio input signal poor that happens to every call. Audio output is fine. 8831 phones are having the same issues at several sites of the branch, but seems more predominant in some. The question has been described as 'audio static, choppy, distorted, with a few breaks.

I tested with G.729 and G.711 without some luck, after using the web interface to enter stats here, this is what they look like:

As you can see that the MOS is pretty bad, jitter and ignored packets seem to be bad too. Intrasite tests have resulted in better looking for numbers. Initially, I immediately thought "QoS" but all other phones are fine and the problem is with audio INCOMING do not outgoing.

All comments on this are appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

As you can see receiver lost packets number is very high, which will cause audio choppy. Looks like you face below default

    https://Tools.Cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuq03746

Also can ensure you codec used is g729r8 not g729br8. g729br8 has integrated VAD have so it will drop some packets. Also disable VAD in any voip dial peer by using the command "no vad.

    Kind regards
